It started out with my service dog, I am recovering from breast cancer & the PTSD it has caused me from my life being turned upside down. Anyway, there was a 10 minute argument over that, I had already booked through a third party, I couldn't change, nor get a refund, and it was Memorial week-end. Finally able to get into the room, which wasn't that bad, room was clean, the mini fridge was great! The shower was nice as well, just be sure to have your own towels, wash clothes, and such. I probably wouldn't stay there again, and they probably would not let me due to my service dog. He goes everywhere with me!!!!

The only real downside was the refrigerator was really loud when it turned on to cool. It made a loud pop, and then came on for several minutes increasing in volume as it went. But, this was made better by turning the A/C fan on full time. Overall, I'm not sure I'd recommend this place as it doesn't have a very "I'm really safe here" vibe, being in a not great part of Austin. However, if you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay, this isn't that bad a choice.

Great stay. Only complaint is that there were kids running around on the second floor for like 45 minutes one evening. Also there were a couple moments where it felt/sounded like someone was moving large furniture in the room next door, and it was very jarring for 15 minutes on and off.

The motel is fairly run-down and there are no special amenities like breakfast, a pool, or room service. The pictures I saw online make it look really nice, but I was a little unsure at first when I got there and saw it. I even checked for two-way mirrors because I thought, “where did I bring my child to stay?!” I always bring my own pillow and I was glad I had because the two on my bed were really yellowed, lumpy, and stained. The fridge had a leak so the pizza box we put in it got soaked. The room had an odd smell that we never were ever able to place, and the lights didn’t turn on right away- there was like a three to five second delay. But. There were zero bugs of any kind, the shower had hot water, the AC worked, and the mattresses were comfortable and clean. The room itself was clean- no carpet so that was a plus. I think for the overall condition of the place and the room it was over-priced, but it was still cheaper than most places around.

Been a member of Hotels.com for many years and this is the first time we pulled into a hotel and could not stay at the property. The staff was helpful but the rooms smelled very bad and were not clean. There also were people milling around the parking lot looking into cars. We asked to cancel and left. The property owner would not refund our money and that is unfortunate but we did not want to stay in an unsafe environment with poor cleanliness. I don’t usually write poor reviews but hope this one helps others choose a different hotel along the road. Thanks to the evening staff person for trying to convince us to stay, she was very kind.

I liked that we were able to stay on the first floor and park right in front of the door making unloading easy. The fact they had a working ice machine was just what we needed too. We had a big cooler to ice down after a 6 hour drive. The guy at the front desk was accommodating. The property was on our way to the concert and on our way home which made things easy. Look...it's a cheap place to stay and easy access to the rooms. There's no breakfast or pool which I'm fine with. Most places just serve junk anyway. The towels were not clean and stunk. The property wasn't that nice and kinda sketchy looking honestly but we were only staying one night and left at checkout and went home. It worked out fine. The room was real hot when we got there too and it took a while to cool down. Thank god we had somewhere to go while it cooled down which took several hours. Overall, not bad.

I knew this was an older hotel because one of my Uncles was the master carpenter who helped build it. The rooms are clean as long as you don't move furniture or look too closely at the walls. When I turned on the lights our little friends the roaches where all around the bathroom and vanity area. The white blankets had past stains, but they were clean. The beds were comfortable and the hotel staff was attentive and as some guests were playing loud music after 10pm the staff seemed to handle that well. Tiny roaches are not a deal breaker for me. They live in drains and the overflow of sinks and baths and are difficult to eradicate in older buildings.

When we drove into the parking lot at around 1030 pm there where people sitting on the steps of the motel, to be honest I think they were probably homeless people not even staying there. When I parked to go into the office, I told my wife to lock the door to the vehicle, I did not see this happen, but some strange guy came running out of a room and almost landed on the Expedia (Fox) rental vehicle scaring my wife. The fellow inside the office was very nice and I asked him if the area was safe which he assured me it was but did say there is occasionally homeless people in the area. I got the key, and we went into the room, the room was dark, the comforters on the beds where stained in a couple areas each, and I lifted the sheets off the top mattress and the mattress was yellow and fluid stained. I proceeded to the bathroom where in one if the corners were small granules which I honestly believe were from cockroaches. I told my wife to get back in the car and I returned the key to the front desk guy explaining that we would not be staying. This is a fairly run-down hotel, and I was shocked that this hotel was represented by Expedia and for this reason I have deleted my Expedia app. This is rated a 3.5/5 on Expedia when it is at most a 2 star and that's being more than fair.
