Super 8 by Wyndham Austin/Airport South

Very good location and pricing is fair. It used to be a lot better, we have stayed here before. This visit we had a lot of issues. It started off bad, we got there at 2:45 so we could check in on time. As soon as we went in a lady said something but we couldn't hear that well and she repeated herself with a very annoyed tone that the floors were wet. No wet floor sign anywhere, which is dangerous. Then she made a comment that check in wasn't until 3pm and made us go back outside. Have in mind we had unpacked everything from the car so we stayed out in the benches outside for 15 mins in the heat. It smelt weird in general, especially the elevator. Linens had stains everywhere, AC didn't work. During breakfast the OJ and Apple juice machine only dispensed water. When we asked for milk for the breakfast the same lady got it for us but no customer service at all. Very cold and made us feel like we were annoying her. There used to be an older lady and she was very kind always, I don't know what happened. Wyndham hotels always had standards but this was not that good of an experience.

The sink in the restroom was clogged badly. Just washing hands could cause the water held up in the sink. The room maintenance need be improved.

This property is in desperate need of maintenance and solid house keeping. From a lack of towels, to garbage on the floor of the room, to non-functioning equipment, it is hotel in need of TLC.

There was garbage on the floor of the room and the jacuzzi did not work. There were insufficient towels and toiletries.

Had to wait for like an hour to check in and the front desk lady didn’t even apologized

Did not even know we're pool was, was not told, front desk short and used minimal words, breakfast was shabby and less options compared to other hotels

Outdated and def smells aged.

Its an older property but pretty well kept and taken care of. The room was dirty and there was old food and left items on the floor and sticky stuff all over the drawers. But the beds were made and clean enough to sleep in. Its a cheap place

I do not recommend this Hotel. Thr facilities were in terrible condition. The linen, towels, were filthy, old, stained, just disgusting. I would never come back to such filth of a property. The carpet was so old, dirty, and the carpet stunk. The elevator didn't work. By the looks of it. It has not worked for a while. It was down all weekend I was there.

I arrived after midnight on 5/15/2026, and was exhausted after a 6 hour drive. The male receptionist on shift noticed my fatigue and was amazing!! The elevator was not working properly, so the receptionist walked up the 3 flights of stairs to personally send the elevator back down to take me up and prevent me taking the stairs. The hotel only has 1 iron so we had to get in line to use it, and the air conditioner was not working. The female receptionist working evening/night shift on 5/15/2026 was extremely rude! I rely on asthma inhalers to breath so after climbing 3 flights of stairs I was winded, and ready to shower for sleep. I noticed we had not received clean towels so I called and requested some. The receptionist told me to come get them and I advised her that honestly I can’t because the elevator was still not working and I can’t do the stairs down and back up. She told me to send someone else for them and I told her I was alone so she hung the phone up. After an hour of waiting, the room phone rung and she told me to walk to the elevator and push the button so it would come down and she would send my towels back up on it. TERRIBLE! Also there are old alcohol bottles and cans scattered around the perimeter that appears to have been there for years

The room felt neglected. We rented the jacuzzi room so we could relax with the jets but upon arrival there was gunk and hair in the jacuzzi.

The room is straight out of the 1970’s. Why is there a phone on the wall in the bathroom? Ancient coffee pot in the bathroom that barely works. Thermostat is very old and hard to work. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

I wish they wouldn't advertise a breakfast and instead lowered the room rate a few dollars. Otherwise, it's a nice place for the money.

Hotel had a smell about it the minute you walked in. Room smelt worse, had to go by air freshener, helped a little. Breakfast was a waffle, yogurt, coffee, nothing else. Unfriendly staff. Do yourself a favor, stay somewhere else.

Paid the stay that includes breakfast but 10pm there was no breakfast available they closed it earlier . Best to spend money else were . This place is a NO NO

They charged me additional charges even though I paid before staying at the room.

It’s a super 8, so not much to expect. My biggest complaint is that they charged my card a “safe fee” for the use of the in-room safe - of which I didn’t use and only found out after I had checked out and received the bill online.

This hotel was convenient to hyway, a good price, and the desk clerk was very pleasant. The room it self was clean. The barhroom had damage to a wall. The high level King bed had a stained bedspread and only 3 standard size pillows. I called for more pillows and towels, yet I had to go pick up at front desk. I had trouble climbing up on the bed, bad knee. The air conditioning was cool but made a lot of noises, especially at night. I heard every noise. No carpet, only tile floors.

Overall it was ok, I did not like that the television in my room didn’t work.

I showed up a 3 hours earlier from my flight. And they charged me 40 dollars for an early check in fee. The room was already ready. The problem that bothers me is that when I called they said it would be 30 dollars. Plus they added an extra charge out of no where. No explanation. This was a terrible experience.

The only problem we had was that they didn’t understand what kind of truck we were coming in. I always call property to make sure before reservation is made. Upon arrival there was really no place for what we had going on so that was a huge hassle but other than that it was a great stay.

The first room I was given, didn’t have AC. I reported it to the front desk and was given a second room. In this room, the sink would get clogged, the tub drain was broken and the shower did not work properly. Also, both beds were extremely worn out and caved in.

The property was very clean and peaceful, located very close to a lot of awesome local food trucks as well.

Well they let us check in late that was great. They were very friendly room was great. Went to the room and we got in fine settled in and left came back. When we came back the key didn’t work and had to go down stairs to get help. Next morning woke up to the key not working again and the elevator being broken

Very unfriendly staff, definitely don’t make you feel welcome. Room was large and spacious and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Came with fridge, MW and coffee. Breakfast served 6-9am. Waffles only. Apple juice and coffee all though coffee e pots were empty and full of coffe grounds. Easy freeway access and 3.9 miles to airport. Tired to charge my card after checkout for $3.50 not sure why .

Kurt checked us in. He had a great attitude, and was very helpful. There was a text to make a request feature that was insanely helpful. The room had a lingering marijuana smell, and a landline that didn't work. The elevator wasn't operational, which made getting to our room on the top floor very inconvenient. We didn't try the breakfast, so I can't speak to its quality. If I'd spent $90 after fees, this would've been a 5 star stay.

The outside of the hotel looked good. The lobby was ok. The room needed to be updated, things were old. The comforter and pillow shams on the bed looked very used and not clean or fresh. The pads on the sitting areas were old and had stains (would not sit on them). Would not stay here again nor recommend to anyone.

Good price and easy in and out. Will stay anytime flying out of Austin. No airport shuttle in case Expedia still shows it.

Big rooms, clean, good beds

I am eventually sent to my room after waiting for 10-15min for them (man & woman) to check me in. Did not appear they knew what they were doing. I get to my room 319 and the key card does not work. I go back and for the three times before they open the door with the ‘master key’. At this point I am tired, went to shower, and get a nap in before my 6am flight. Finally get in the room around 1:45am. There was no hot water. I was livid. I requested to be moved and was placed in room 213. I was able to take a shower and laid down at 2:30am. I left for my flight at 4:50am. The showers have mold, bed was decent, and the pillows were like mush. I would not stay here again under any circumstance.

There was a chicken running around the Gazebo in the smoking section.

2) The TV does not work at all, can’t even get local channels. 3) Ceiling fan switch was broken, had to use toothpick to change the fan speed. 4) The shower handle needs a special trick to make the hot water work. It’s a 3 step process that was not explained to us, and there are no instructions in the bathroom on how to work the shower handle. 5) Overall, the room had a lot of wall damage. Needs sheetrock work and painting. We will not be staying at this hotel again.
