Staybridge Suites Austin Airport by IHG

Although the staff were helpful, the facility was in need of lots of care. Upon check in there were ants in the room. After switching rooms, there were ants in there as well. My grandson was bitten and our luggage was full of ants upon leaving. The elevators were not working so to carry luggage and babies up four flights of stairs was a HUGE inconvenience. Overall, for the location, the property has potential - I simply wish I had experienced it.

Cleanliness isn't a top priority. Bags of trash left in the hallway, smell lingered after they were finally removed. Musty smell in the room itself.

It’s was a great location for our occasion . They didn’t provide enough towels , I couldn’t tap to pay , and they never brought a coffee pot to my room . Also saw a roach when we’re eating breakfast.

No full length mirror in our room and no AC vents in one side of the room.

The rooms were very clean. Staff was extremely friendly to me and my family. Breakfast delicious. Location amazing. We were in walking distance to a bunch of cool spots like Ani's Day & Night (thank you Oscar for suggesting this place) and less than a 15 minute drive to the Central Library (highly suggest visiting 6 stories high with a rooftop garden and art gallery for free!!) and the cathedral of junk (also highly suggest. Hours vary. Saturday 10-5 Sunday Closed call for weekday hours at 512-299-7413) No full length mirror in our room and no AC vents in one side of the room.

The front desk staff were kind and helpful. The room itself was dated and not to the standard I’m used to for this hotel brand.

Our room, 419, was in the midst of renovations! Unfortunately that meant there was splattered paint in the bathroom, a bathtub with a hole that, hopefully, will be fixed! However the bed was clean, AC was working, and we had a lovely sofa and TV to rest on besides the bed! There was even a kitchen that we didn’t get to utilize! The whole property definitely needs some renovation, however the staff was awesome and lovely and it was a great location for a two day stay for our friend’s wedding!

Check out was at noon. At 9:00am the housekeeper knocked & quickly used her key. Thank goodness I had the security bar engaged. She did it again at 11 & then called my room to check if I needed late checkout.

Overall, it wasn’t that bad, but could have been better. Very convenient location tho. And staff was great.

The place was dated and needed some TLC starting with the Elevators. Over all rooms are spacious and Beds were comfortable with freshly washed sheets.

Terrible condition in and out, with poorly planned Renovations progress. Saw 3 roaches…COMPLETELY IDIOTIC ELEVATOR LOCATIONS THAT ARE NOWHERE NEAR THE MAIN ENTRANCE AND THESE ELEVATORS ARE HIDDEN BEHIND DOORS THAT RESEMBLE ROOM DOORS. INCONVENIENT

although we found a roach essentially the room and service was perfect. we understand there could be improvement but maybe a fumigation should clear problem.

On checkin, i was told that there was a $50 incidental. I was preplexed as i had called the hotel and was not made aware. I was making a suggestion that that info should be given up front. The, i guess, manager, cane out with a big attitude. She told me it was non-negotiable and they could cancel my reservation and i could go somewhere else. Only prayer kept me from retaliating!!! I told her i was not talking about the charge, just that people should know in advance. As i was standing there, another person came up and was shocked when they heard about the charge. While the hotel was a 5 star, because of her attitude, i will never go back. I was there to do a class for the police department, with students from different locations, i did tell them about the incident and recommended they not use the faculity.

I would not recommend staying here until the renovations are complete. Nothing was outright bad, but I would choose to stay elsewhere. The food was room temperature instead of warm. The sofa was well worn and pulled so that the stuffing was coming out. The bathtub had chips in the surface. The bed, however, was pretty comfortable.

Hotel is under renovation and currently a bit dingy. Services are reduced and breakfast was not as good as at other Staybridge Suites.

Staff was very accommodating. Sign on elevator said out of order and our rooms were on the 4th floor. We had an 87 year old that could not make the stairs so they changed our rooms to the first floor

Besides, i went for breakfast at 9:30 AM and they had already closed the service. I would never select this again!

This place is perfect for a weekend getaway spot. Each suite is like a little one or two bedroom apartment that is fully equipped with a kitchen and living room space. The hotel is clean, safe and accessible. My favorite thing about this hotel is that I can bring my fire tv stick and plug it into the tv and have literally everything just like home. The staff is friendly and helpful, overall it’s home when you are away from home. Great place!

Property under construction, 2,3 floors closed, crew lives and works there.

The place is under renovation and everything is half done. The shower pressure was weak, and the work on thr shower is half ass.

They had renovations going on, but the crew was very quiet. Of course I stayed Friday through Monday. The breakfast was nice and everything was clean. I appreciate it thanks, Staybridge.

The hotel was in the process of a huge remodel so the ere were plastic tarps draped all over, missing ceiling tiles with exposed wiring, and gouges along the walls. The elevator was in bad shape and the room smelled overwhelmingly of mildew. We stayed about an hour but elected to move to another hotel. We were still charged even after a call to hotels.com and speaking with management. The place was unacceptable. Completely disappointed.

We got there to find out it was being remodeled. Next we got a room that the ax was not working. The whole hotel seemed to have the AC off halls and elevetaors were extremely hot. Got switched to a different room to find out the shower head was broken and the sink splattered water everywhere. Conditions were addressed but never offered us a better accommodation. Never staying there again. Rather stay at a motel 6 for these conditions. Honestly hotel looked very run down on the inside.

Even while renovations are going on now the hotel was still very clean, quiet and accommodating. The breakfast are had to be moved because of the renovations but the staff still made sure that guest were made aware and the area was clearly marked. The breakfast was still hot and they had a good selection. I would definitely recommend this property .

Property was under construction with painting being conducted within walking entrance of corridors area no rerouting guiders, no signage or safe guards protecting customers from fumes or paint over spray. Staff was polite but, had delayed flight, as a member of IHG hotels nothing was accommodating for the issue. Asked what would be the process for any points or amendments to reclaim due to the delayed flight arrival. Staff stated the situation would be considered a no show!

We chose Staybridge because it is pet friendly. The website showed a lovely lobby and free buffet style breakfast. Unfortunately, the lobby was closed off for renovations. The breakfast pastries were still frozen. No waffle maker. The room has a coffeemaker but did not provide filters or regular coffee (decaf only). We had to go to a nearby restaurant for breakfast. The a/c kept shutting off and the room was consistently hot. The mattress was very uncomfortable. Regretted not spending 10 dollars more for one of the newer hotels nearby.

The lobby was under construction which caused a claustrophobic feel with plastic hung all around. The breakfast area was moved to a meeting room - they did their best, but the food and beverages were not organized. In my room, it was so humid that the carpet felt damp. I would not visit that location again.

We like staying here because of the 2 bedroom suite. Half the elevators were out. And bathrooms need updating- toilets needs to be replaced and tub faucets pour out water with the shower- wastes so much water.

We stay here all the time. AC works great. There were several maintenance issues with my room that need to be addressed. My Biggest complaint and I have never had this happen but we paid for a king room with two queens in a two bedroom. We had three queens. Every time i went to find a manager no one was available- i will ask at check in next time to make sure i get the king. There was also a door at end of hall that had been “Taped” up- felt weird hearing people and having light come thru the door-

Not sure who was more to blame in this case: Expedia or the hotel. Maybe both. When we arrived at the hotel I called the hotel because the *main* reason I booked this particular one was because Expedia said it had free hotel to/from airport shuttle transport. The front desk said they did *not* have shuttle surface! So we had to cab it at $60 bucks for literally a 5 minute drive. When we got there the front desk explained they only offered “limited” shuttle but not on the days/hours we were there so that was a. Implore letdown and a costly one at $120 cab/Uber fair round trip. Second issue; when we arrived the front desk lady was apologetic but said the room we booked was not available… So we had to split up our family which was a bummer. Certainly things happen but this was a disappointing hotel stay all way around and I would not stay here again if traveling to Austin there are far better choices.

Everything was very good. No complaints. Staff very friendly, rooms clean, bed comfortable, bathroom clean and everything in working order. Breakfast was very good. Pet friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for a week, the room needs upgrades & things cleaned thoroughly (bathroom corners, kitchenette area). Plenty of space & I absolutely loved the daily new towels delivered & light turn off the bedding. Overall a good value.

I had a great time staying at the Staybridge. I love the buffet breakfast in the morning. Staff was really nice.

We would stay here again.

Great price for F1 weekend

We love the location of this hotel but have noticed how it needs to be updated. Pros were the AC worked well and the beds were comfy; ice maker didn’t work, half the electric outlets were not working ; i fell in tub it was so slick: toilet wouldn’t flush; it was weekend no housekeeping; i was very disappointed in the condition of the room. We basically slept and left early each day. I’m sure we will stay again when we visit city. This review is to inform hotel to update not to bash them. It’s a great location.

My stay was okay. My only complaint is that the hotel is very dated. The furniture in the room is old. Qnd has stains in it. Beds are comfy. Water pressure and hot water issues need to be addressed. Breakfast was good. Parking is good. Location of hotel ia great.

This hotel was near the airport with other hotel brands. There wasn’t anything near the hotel to walk to, but it was expected. The hotel had free continental breakfast which made me think that I don’t ever want to have a free continental breakfast again. It was free though. The worst part of the room was that the bathtub’s finish was chipped and looked sketchy.

The grab bars in the shower were very loose. There was a musty smell to the room.

I brought back a breakfast snack, placed on the counter in the room. When i went back for it, a roach ran from the plate.

Not bad but needs painting and updating. The bed was comfortable. Oddly, we only had very hot water sometimes, in the bathroom and kitchen - no cold water available at all. This happened several nights of our stay. Cleaning is only once per week.

The shuttle service was not great and although it was a courtesy shuttle the shuttle driver failed to let us know there was a service, but wanted to take us as little distance as possible and wasn’t in a hurry to offer suggestions, options, etc and I think didn’t want to work.

It was affordable and not completely atmosphericly unkind. May stay again if the pennies are tight.

Vents were broken suffered from severe allergies, it smelled like a zoo in my room over at Staybridge , had to change rooms twice -in Austin tx at 1611 Airport Commerce blvd , the front desk agent was extremely rude , booked a 6 night stay but wanted to leave after I endure the bad experience from the room , also after talking with another guest on the elevator who said he was positive for covid , Staybridge argued me up & down behind my early check out refund I was requesting. She said she wasn’t gonna give me a refund. I was pissed!!! I immediately called corporate who filed a claim and 48 hours later I was reimbursed for the days I didn’t stay. Thank God for upper management!!!

I liked that they had a full basketball court where my children could play. I loved that the suite had a home away from home vibe, with a fully stocked kitchen, appliances e.g, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, refrigerator. There were cabinents full of plates, glasses, bowls. The drawers had utensils even a can opener. Last but not least they even had a cutting board. This place is more bang for four buck.

The pictures that are posted on this hotel are misleading....1st as soon as we opened the door to the room there was a very strong musky old smell...the carpet in my room was very badly stained..furniture seats were stained..the tv in the living room did not work....the handle to the faucet sink stayed in my hand when i tried to turn it on..the back door of the hotel was hanging on for dear life...looked like someone forcefully kicked it open.....bed mattress need to be replaced..badly...do yourself a favor and find another hotel to stay at..never again

The property is old, and the rooms and furniture look outdated. The biggest issue was with the faucets. Either there was very hot water or cold. We had to use a plunger a couple of times for the commode. Breakfast wasn't great. The rooms are not worth the cost. The staff were good and helped us with extra towels when we asked for them. They do not provide room service for your stay. Better to book a different room for each day if you need a fresh room.

Another good stay with SBS as usual. Front desk agent, I forgot her name, but most attentive and genuine. Clean lobby, corridors. Room is always sufficient with enough space, Homey, cozy. Kitchenette is always a plus. Bed was comfortable, bathroom clean, though issues this time with the toilet but am sure maintenance will fix that quickly. I usually bring certain things of my own, but one doesn't really need anything when staying here. Generally quiet and just 2 minutes off of 35 and BW so quite convenient as well. I dont see why one would pass up staying here as I will return. TY.
