Good hotel. It smelt really nice in a lobby and a hotel room. Friendly staff. The room is well-appointed. Delicious breakfast. We were not informed at the time of booking that the indoor swimming pool was under renovation and this was very important for us. But they provided another option in a next door hotel - outdoor pool. And it worked perfectly for us since that pool has a great view. Also, behind a hotel a huge construction and a lot of dust.

Almost everything is good about this hotel, the rooms are big and spacious, the bed is soft, breakfast buffet is good, but staying in downtown can be very expensive, even though the hotel prices are good, but you and up paying a lot for parking, is $75 dollars per night for valet parking (that's the only option) plus however much you want to tip for every time they get your car, basically parking your car can cost you as much as the hotel nightly rate. If I ever go back, I would stay at a similar hotel, but a little bit away from downtown. Immediately after I booked the room for 2 nights I tried to cancel it because I found a better rate at a holiday in with free parking, and free breakfast. When I tried to cancel the reservation they threatened to charge me for one night and it was only 5 minutes after a place de reservation. I got disappointed and kept the reservation, later I realized that even if I loose the one night amount, I would of still spend less at the other hotel with free parking. If you don't bring a car then stay in downtown or if you don't mind to pay a lot for parking, also any public parking in downtown is outrageous, we paid $30 dollars for 2 hours parking, I would stay couple miles away from downtown and get an Uber if you must go to downtown

The property, perfect location, all kinds of activities around the hotel itself. Hotel staff was excellent staff was upper tier . Clean and comfortable rooms .restaurant inside good food good drinks, And even though you’re in the middle of downtown the windows keep the noise out. I heard nothing. I thought I was in this big hotel by myself because it’s so quiet. I’m going to book again. I was there for nine nights. I stayed in my hotel room at least three days out of those nine nights. I didn’t want to leave this place. Best place I’ve booked so far.Hotel also has a Starbucks and plenty of meeting rooms and lounge areas .10 out of 10 for me ❤️ NOTHING

Great staff, clean and comfortable room, were quick to fix a minor elevator issue, good quality breakfast. Only issue was some confusion about which entry doors are open at what times due to an unused desk area.

Location was great and so was the staff. Swimming pool wasn’t available to use however we could use the partner hotels pool.

Staff was excellent, as was the valet (although pricey). Everyone took note of my daughter’s special needs, and aside from the musty dog smell and sticky floors in our room, it was a very convenient place to stay, given the location. I realize most buildings in Texas are moldy, but a lot can be done to not exacerbate the problem, such as dehumidifiers, properly vented and working exhaust fans, maintained windows, etc. There were apparently no rooms available to relocate us to when I spoke with staff, but when checking out, another staff member added 5,000 points to my Bonvoy account and gave me two $5 gift cards to use at the onsite Starbucks. I happily passed the gift cards on to other guests, as I couldn’t use them. Overall, we had a great trip, which was made even greater by the $400 credit I had gotten from Bonvoy ahead of scheduling.

We also had trouble with the appliances in the room almost had to ask for a replacement twice. The entrance for the residence inn also was not working so we would have to walk around to the other side in front of cars(not far but inconvenient if you have a lot with you). The TV was temperamental and one of the elevators was having issues halfway through our stay.

Sarah and lady Fair of the residence inn throught our stay were extremely helpful and understanding. We had quite a few hiccups with the pool,room and coffee machine. Great location to restaurants and nightlife. Walking distance to the Congress bridge. Staff were friendly and the rooms were spacious and very clean. Rooms were quiet and the breakfast was pretty good. The valet parking is $70 which is absurd. I’d recommend parking on the street using the Austin parking app. We arrived on Sunday and parking is free in front of the hotel on Sunday.

Fabulous friendly staff, good location, and a nice big room. Despite requesting a quiet room, which we always do, we managed to score the room that had an enormous air-conditioning unit right outside our window. The noise was horrific. The buffet breakfast area was too small for the amount of people that were there during the busy times. It was chaotic.

My friends and I booked here last minute and it was well worth it! It was a short walk to 6th street and a short drive to the moody Center. The room was clean with a nice view of the city. Breakfast was immaculate with the Texas shaped waffles. The receptionists and staff were helpful and friendly! Checking in and out was simple and fast! I will definitely be staying here again

Check in for both hotels is handled at 1 desk. Staff was super helpful. Huge plus for the place. Self parking was a big deciding factor for me choosing this location. Just to find out that they were only doing Valet for whatever reason. And for a ridiculous additional amount. More than the other places I've been at. Once again, the Staff (valet) help save this place from a complete negative experience. There's parking available around the area for a fee, but requires a little walking. Something I am unable to do. If you do find parking it'll be early during the day. You'll find none once the evening comes around. Which leads on to the night experience. There's a lot of loud traffic throughout the night. Not to mention a fire station across the street. They had plenty of calls on the night I stayed. Come morning I had to go to the adjoining hotel to have breakfast. Where the staff is really polite and help ease the discomfort of the night. Food & selection was good. Valet had my vehicle ready by the time I got downstairs. If you're going here to rest, or go & come often, this is not the place to stay at. If you plan on walking around, going out, & just have a good time, then this should be fine.

I liked being able to prepay for the parking. The breakfast was amazing and everyone who worked there was extra kind.

The staff was friendly and our room was more than spacious. However, we called twice for our trash to be emptied out (even scheduled for the next day after they missed it the first time) and it was never done. I’d also like to note valet is super slow during check in and check out due to lack of space. You get an automatic text that your car will be ready in approximately 10 minutes, but prepare to wait a bit. Besides that, this was a regular hotel stay. It’s clean and what I’d expect from a Marriott.

Breakfast could have more variety, but other than the property is excellent. The location is very convenient.

At the time of booking on Expedia it showed City View, but we ended up facing the Courtyard Marriott. That was misleading! The breakfast was supposed to be something special, turns out it was the usual fare with Waffles which I don’t eat. Meats like sausage and bacon which I don’t eat. Some other stuff like scrambled eggs, seasoned potatoes - which looked unappetizing because they have been sitting there too long and were dried and hardened, salsas (no tacos or beans etc nearby), boiled egg and some breads, alongside cereal, oats etc. No cut fresh fruit like pineapples, melons etc which are usually served in breakfast buffets. No live counters for prepared items like omelettes. Room was just average. The view from the room was such a let-down with a major dig-up and construction facing us instead of a City View.

Decent hotel with recent updates. Free breakfast was good with lots of options. Pool area was dated and there was a strong fragrance everywhere. Staff was very helpful!

We would definitely stay again. Excellent free breakfast. Friendly service at front desk and valet. Reasonably priced for a prime location. The only problem we experienced was wet sheets in the extra bedding package, but it was addressed in a satisfactory manner.

The downtown location was excellent for us as tourists. Fortunately we did not have a car because parking is very expensive at downtown hotels. The property is well laid out and comfortable.

They put a hold for the full amount on 2 credit cards and didn't release it for over a week.

Kitchen looks good even I did not use it. Next time I will carry some things to cook. Sofa bed is ok, not too bad. Staff are helpful. I asked some pillows, then sent to room not take too long time.

1. I reserved a suite on a high floor and was put in a studio on the second floor because of my late arrival and all the suites were booked. I booked the suite 3 weeks in advance. 2. The room was in in poor condition, room 203. The couch was torn and very worn to the point that you can't sit on it without leaning towards the center. The coffee supplies were depleted prior to our arrival and not restocked. The wall paper was peeling off the bathroom wall. 3. The cleanliness of the room was only fair. 4. This hotel has a rodent problem, all night for both nights of our stay, we could hear chewing in the kitchen area. When I told them I was told simply "thank you for letting us know..." 5. Valet is VERY slow. At check out it took over 45 minutes for them to bring my vehicle. In their defense they were busy with checkouts. 6.The restaurant closes at 9:45pm, not 10pm and if you order food at 9pm you will be notified that the kitchen closes and you might not get everything that you order. Overall this was the worst $600.00 I've ever spent in a Marriott branded hotel. This was more like a fancy Motel 6 with a bad attitude.

Parking and check in was very easy and friendly staff. The room was nice. The bed was not the most comfortable. I'm a late sleeper and house keeping knocking on the door at 7:50am was not very pleasant, they also just tried to walk in again at 9:30 luckily I had the door latched. The morning was kind of ruined for me.

Everything from the location to the staff to the accommodation was great! We were able to walk or Uber all around town. I thought that the breakfast was excellent…everything was delicious and so fresh. The staff was very professional and pleasant. We did not use the pool or laundry facilities so have no comment there.

The staff was super friendly and very helpful.The view from my room on the 7th floor was nice.They had everything you could think of for breakfast.The bar was awesome with cold beer and mixed drinks and flat screen tv’s to watch your favorite sports.You don’t have to go anywhere.You can also eat dinner at the bar.

Everything was perfect, beyond expectations. Staff specifically Lady Fair, she is helping and very friendly.

However, it would be good to have hand-held shower head instead of fixed shower head

The experience was great. The room was comfortable and matched the expectations. The location is also very convenient, close to all interesting spots in Austin. The staffwas very helpful even when a smqll concern arose. They reacted quick and showed a nice gesture after the fact. The only little downside is breakfast. as I stayed quite a long time, it would have been nice to get a bit more variety but this is not what will remain in my memory from this stay.
