Residence Inn Austin Lake Travis/River Place

The Residence Inn has always been a great place to stay and this one was no different. The staff was very polite and helpful. The room was in excellent order. I really like it

The property was good overall.

Room was spacious, hotel was very well appointed, staff were nice, and it was close to everything we wanted to do while here for the weekend in Austin. The free parking was an added bonus! Stairwells and hallways were a little warm but that was the only thing.

Staff was very apologetic and quickly got us into a new room.

The room was very nice. There was a weird smell and the stairwell was stinky. Other than that, the room was great, great bed, very large and clean property.

It was adequate, but the room felt dark. I think I'm starting to want slightly more upscale accommodations.

Needs maintenance

Generally good room, some minor defects. Lousy pillows (might be good for some, but not me-and they were all the same. Had to put a towel underneath to make it high enough. No luggage carts available when we arrived. Fast check-in and out. Wish they would have told me that maid service was only every other day, so I could have brought in extra coffee pods.

Nice front desk. Good location if you are needng access to west Austin or lake Travis area. Description said two beds. It was actually a nice king bed and a terrible cheap small sofa bed.

We were checked in quickly and politely. Our first room was clean and tidy, however the. Air conditioner unit was loud and the front desk was able to change our room and we slept like a baby. We will definitely be back. Great customer service. Good breakfast selection.

Friendly front staff and housekeeping staff, quiet, classy, not overdone or understated - just right, love the suite life.

Pool was nice very dark tho if you want to swim or be at a hot tub night.Enviroment was very quite and peaceful.room was clean.

Check in was fast, friendly and welcoming. Updated property with indoor pool/hot tub was kept and in order. I carry my own water test strips- water here was kept and maintained. No pet or hidden fees. Pet areas are well lit and well kept.

This hotel was one of the best hotels I ever booked

Everything was great minus the lights not working at the hot tub and we could hear EVERY NEIGHBOR!! Stomping all night and doors shutting sounded like slamming it made for a rough nights rest. Hotel is convenient to the lake.

the hairdryer was broken. i didn't have time to ask for a replacement. at least this time they didn't put me in a handicapped room that I didn't ask for. I didn't have breakfast as it started too late. 630 am would be more ideal for business travelers like me.

Beautiful property. Rooms are huge! Nice and up to date. Beds were a little hard for us but great room otherwise.

Not my first time. It’s a nice stay. Right now the lobby are under renovation. Just slightly Inconvenient as is one of the reasons why it’s my preferred location. Bed 10/10 slept like a baby!

Hotel let us check in hours early. Staff was nice. The room was spacious and the hot tub was nice. Cons: Room was in bad shape. Some lights didn’t work, the toilet flush handle was barely hanging on, lots of damaged walls, no towels at pool (had to ask front desk for some) and no bedding in room for food out bed (again, had to ask front desk and they still didn’t give me me everything). It was not worth $200 at all, very disappointing. I won’t be going back.

Clean and safe hotel. We had bad weather so it was nice to stay inside with an indoor pool and jacuzzi. The hotel shampoo/conditioner & body wash set smelled amazing. Staff is really friendly & relaxed.

The hotel was nice however the hot tub was out of service, which was one of the reasons I specifically chose this hotel (for the hot tub), the TV was set up where we couldnt watch anything other than a few local channels, we were told they were switching providers and that was why, and the pull out bed from the sofa was actually awful, in poor condition and not comfortable enough for anyone to sleep in. Aside from those things the staff was friendly and helpful, and it wasn’t a bad experience but for the high prices I was expecting everything to be on point instead of 3 important variables being less than desirable. I don’t think we would stay here again.

It was very cozy and unique I loved it ! Also the drive there in the day time was a plus because of the scenery and it’s close to a grocery store and close to the oasis lake Travis ! When we checked in the lady was super nice so was the other lady when we checked out super friendly and they were able to answer our questions I would stay again in the future

I don't have a problem with pet friendly properties. I have traveled with dogs, but when I dressed for a dressy occasion in black dress slacks they ended with white dog hair on them before we got out the door. Some warning would have been nice or keep pets in certain rooms maybe?

The stay was good for the most part. My only complaints would be the first night my tv in the bedroom was not set up and I had to wait until maintenance was in the next day for them to fix it and two, I was a the very end of the hall and two nights in a row (Tuesday and Wednesday) there was a garbage truck picking up the trash at 4am waking me up. I would just advise that those rooms don't be used during the week. Other than that, the hotel was clean and comfortable. Its a nice room set up for extended stays or if you have family with you.

Overall ok. Was not special, just close to our proximity location. Night staff was rude, kept questioning if we were Marriott members and if not would charge extra for water and other items.

I loved the bedroom, very clean, the bed is very comfortable, large bedroom with a small kitchen and living area too, the lady at the front desk was a little bit rude but otherwise was great!

Our stay was good. A family member didn't have such a good stay. He had his truck broken into the second night of our stay.

We only stayed for 1 night and arrived late, had no problem getting our keys, room was clean.

We will stay again on a future trip to Austin and have already recommended to others.

When checked in to the room the first room we enter the bed was not folded and had children's finger print all over the mirror.

Beautiful scenery. Stayed on the 3rd floor. Nice big room with all the amenities you need. Very clean. Kinda dated...I only rate this room a 6/10 because of how expensive it was. It didn't meet the price tag expectations.

I have stayed here for years before covid. Before covid I would buy the half bottle of wine in the ministore in the hotel. I bought one on my walk back to the hotel from my office and come to find no corkscrew in my room and I checked with the woman at the desk (before covid they would have a regular hh in the lobby) and SHE COULDN'T find a cork screw in the entire hotel and the little store now sells little bottles of champagne. I pushed the cork into the bottle and spent more than 30 minutes cleaning the kitchen area of my room. To make this sillier, there is a potato peeler in the kitchen area of my room.... but no corkscrew. I hope someone rethinks this setup.

Spacious two-room. Very disappointed with the breakfast options. Overall expensive stay.

The property is beautiful but it’s lacking employers. It’s durty in the public areas: elevators hallway, etc. Breakfast is sorry: all sugary: no proteins, it was better not offer breakfast and low the price. All cleaning people were Hispanics and the receptionist was white and could not communicate with them. Her name is Gloria. She treat me very uncomfortably because I have accent. She needs a lot of training!
