Reviews
The hotel is generally clean and the staff is friendly, but there are issues with maintenance and cleanliness in some rooms. The location is convenient for some guests, but not for others.

The balcony was nice and the price was cheap, but the room had a smell and definitely could’ve been cleaner. Overall, okay for a budget stay.

Great
- 4/5
I had a good time there and it was comfortable.
- 4/5
Only thing we were not aware about was the security deposit of $100 for any damages to the room! We have stayed at several other hotels in the same area and never had any security deposit. Not very nice and we are senior citizens, on a limited income, staying elsewhere next time.
- 4/5
No security on the property allowing for random people off the street to sleep inside they left secured doors ajar so that they could regain entry. And I’m certain someone opened my room door while I was sleeping
- 3/5
Room was a little musty, but well cleaned. There was some sort of scent diffuser in the hallway that was overwhelming. Very nice reception and waiting area. Attached restaurant has great food and stays open late.
- 4/5
Was in Austin for a week and picked this place blind. The staff were great. The staff at the connecting restaurant were very nice. Motel was clean and it was a quite area. Easy Uber drive to get downtown.
- 5/5
Super easy check in and check out, friendly staff. Would stay there again!
- 4/5
The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and nice. I would wish to stay there again.
- 3/5
There were 4 of us staying in one room and the bathroom only had 1 washcloth. When we asked for more, we were told they had no extras. Breakfast ended at 9am and we got down at 8:50am and it was already put away. Elevator inspection was expired by over 1 year. The water they kept downstairs was not refilled until the next day and had a bunch of flies next to it.
- 3/5
The hotel really doesn’t look like the picture . I was here a week for work, so I made do. .

All good.

This place is horrible. The staff are blatant thieves and liars. They stole $94 from me and my pregnant wife because of a bogus mattress stain. The breakfast sucks. There are flies everywhere near the coffee. They charge a $100 deposit and then lie and steal to ensure you’re never seeing that money again. Do not stay in this scam hotel. Your money will be stolen and it’s dirty. The front desk employees do not wear deodorant either. It smells.
- 3.5/5
The rooms aren’t real nice
- 1.5/5
The pillows are weird. Staff fixed toilet but did not clean toilet after (housekeeping had to clean it the next day). People loitering all over the hotel. Club attached to hotel played music late at night. Bugs in hotel.
- 1/5
We asked for towels but the front and housing keeping staff kept saying they were out of towels, me and my family had to find a store just to buy towels for the stay. The refrigerator in the room was inoperable even when turned up to the max. The television was complicated to use due to it not being programmed for hotels. The pool was unclean. As well as being in an awkward area. On the bright side the bed was very very spacious and comfortable
- 3/5
We were asked if we wanted a pool side view and I got a view of a parking lot and a tree. No balcony. The rooms and bathrooms were clean had streaming options & housekeeping came by to ask if we needed anything. They also had a tiny store next to the register found that useful. The restaurant next door has good food but when we went had only one server. In the room the refrigerator wouldn’t cool.
- 2/5
Room was outdated and felt cheap, you get what you pay for. The shower and bath had water coming out at the same time. There was also no balcony as stated. The breakfast was instant eggs and high processed sausage with cheap breakfast items. Highly dissatisfied breakfast. Not the way you want to start your day. Had the essentials you need for a night stay though.
- 3/5
The didn’t care if the damp smell throughout the second floor hallway. Even walking into the room the smell was still there. Tub edges were very slippery.
- 2/5
After I got my rook key, I went to check the room and it wasn’t ready yet so they gave me another room and that room wasn’t ready either. When I finally got into my room. The air condition wasn’t cold. It was blowing cool.
- 4/5
Room was clean, the front staff were friendly, the breakfast was decent, the balcony was gross and the worst part was having two towels for a double with 4 persons checked in and the cards not working. It was hard to have kids at the pool too because of people having glass beer bottles and coming out of their balconies smoking and throwing trash and butts towards the pool but that's humans not respecting humans and not on the hotel staff.
- 5/5
Everything is fine for me

Wonderful and convenient.

The service was excellent. Breakfast was awesome and the swimming pool was beautiful.

Unfortunately, the second room was no better. Both rooms had a strong musty odor, damp carpets, and bedding that felt damp. In the first room, the cabinet door was broken, and I noticed what appeared to be mold on the ceiling that had been painted over but was still visible. I also photographed what appeared to be mold on the lampshade, A/C unit, and walls. We opened the balcony door to air out the room, but marijuana smoke from outside drifted into the room, making the situation even worse. Expedia tried to contact the hotel that evening but was unable to reach anyone. The following day, we were told we needed to check out if we wanted a refund. Although our reservation was for six nights, we stayed only one and received only a partial refund. Based on our experience, we believe the hotel has a serious moisture and possible mold problem that should be professionally inspected. We would not stay here again and cannot recommend this property.

Could not get towels until after 0900 am at had a flight to catch
- 4.5/5
Our room was by the pool. Floor boards in our room were coming up - trip danger.
- 4/5
The property was good other than the mini fridge didn’t work when we got there but they replaced it within the same day.
- 5/5
clean room and good air conditioning

when we were sitting around we thought we would go to the pool (11:45am) we went down and the pool had a sign that it would open at 10, so when we went down at 11:45 it was still closed and didn't open until after 1

Housekeeping 1 washcloth for 2 people! Couldn’t get another one until housekeeping comes in in the morning. The bed had a hole you fell in on the bed.
- 1/5
Both the first and second rooms I was assigned were musty, unclean, and had a strong moldy odor that was difficult to ignore. My reservation was for three days, but I could only tolerate staying for two nights. I even tried leaving the sliding door open while running the air conditioning just to make the room bearable. It was clear that a refund was unlikely, even though I booked largely because of the appealing photos on the website. Breakfast was also disappointing. The main items were eggs that tasted powdered and sliced hot link sausages. The best part of breakfast was the coffee, mainly because it was hot. The swimming pool area was also in poor condition and clearly needed power washing. Overall, the entire property appeared to need a deep cleaning, but the worst issue by far was the strong musty odor throughout the rooms. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this property based on my experience.

Everything was ok

When the maintenance person returned, I was told that I would have to find another hotel because my original room was considered “dirty.” I had five children with me, and the way this situation was handled made me feel extremely uncomfortable and frustrated. I asked what exactly was dirty about the room, and the only thing mentioned was that there were crumbs on the floor. Instead of trying to resolve the issue or provide good customer service, the employee made me feel like I was being blamed and argued with. I requested to speak with a supervisor, but the interaction continued to make me feel unwelcome. I understand that issues happen, but the way the situation was handled was unacceptable. I expected better communication, professionalism, and consideration, especially while traveling with five children. On top of everything, I never received my deposit back. No one explained why my deposit was being kept or provided any documentation showing the reason for withholding it. I would like an explanation and the return of my deposit if there were no valid charges against my room.
- 2/5
They gave us the wrong room number and we walked into another persons room, same thing happened to another family except they were the ones getting walked in on. Made me feel really unsafe, especially because there was a random man sleeping in the lobby late at night. Couldn’t get into the gym for some reason.
- 5/5
The front desk guy was verbally assaulted and threatened. Bro handled himself well. I give props to him
- 5/5
Was good

- 1.5/5
They had a balcony. No extra towels. Shower was slightly broke. Trying to charge for an early check in.
- 0.5/5
Nothing. I had to find somewhere else to spend the night, for my own safety. There was a massive water leak in my room. There was a hole in the wall with water leaking. The shower leaked water from the wall. The floors leaked water when I stepped on them. The shower was also visibly dirty.
- 4/5
Free parking. Excellent, free breakfast. Helpful and kind staff.
- 3/5
Good location for a visit to Barton Springs and McKinney Falls. However room was dirty and not enough towels were in our room when we arrived. We asked for another set and was told there were no more available at 5pm. We were guaranteed a set in the morning but then were told all not in rooms were being washed. Ridiculous!
- 3/5
It was alright
- 5/5
Easy booking ad easy checkin
- 1/5
No Wi-Fi for the entire stay. This caused a major disruption, as we had a scheduled work call that could not be taken. Cellular reception in the room was also extremely poor, Additionally, our children were very upset as they were unable to access their shows. In-room phone not working. Each time we had a question or needed assistance, we were forced to go downstairs to the front desk. Room was clearly not properly cleaned. There were visible stains on the counter, hair in the bathroom, dirt on the bathroom floor, and leftover items. This raised serious concerns about hygiene and housekeeping standards. Serious privacy concern. Our room was accessed to drop off the iron while we were not present, despite a Do Not Disturb sign being displayed on the door. This is unacceptable and concerning from both a safety and privacy standpoint. Air conditioning was ineffective. We had to set the AC to 64°F just to achieve minimal cooling in the room. No iron in the room. There was no iron available. We requested one and waited approximately 45 minutes, but it never arrived. Unprofessional front desk staff. The front desk agent was rude and unapologetic. She blamed housekeeping for the delay in delivering the iron and offered no assistance. she was sitting in the back on her phone and not professional.
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff.
- 1/5
I didn’t like anything about this place, it was nasty and dirty. The tub was horrible, the room smelled like a dog had been living there, and they had big ass roaches.
- 0.5/5
The sausage from the breakfast was decent. The hotel charged me the right rate, then charged me again in the middle of the night, them refunded the initial charge when I brought this to their attention, then added back another charge in the middle of the night to the sum of the initial charge because it turns out that one was actually correct. This hotel was very sketchy. Additionally, I had water bubble up on my bathroom wall and run down from the ceiling, and several of the lights in the new room didn’t work. The breakfast left much to be desired. The workout room equipment was also terrible. All of the pillows on the beds are also half sized pillows.
- 4/5
The hotel was very nice. My room was clean. The staff was friendly. The only downside is my room didn't get cleaned one night.
- 5/5
Great location food shopping really close by good service great stay

Everything was fine. Friendly staff and great location.
- 3/5
Noisy air conditioner, tv never got replaced as discussed, door locks not properly working.
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly and helpful staff, very convenient to major highways.
- 3/5
Both rooms we were in smelled musty. Not enough towels for 4 of us. Pool had green algae in some areas and didn’t have pool towels. When we asked we were told they hadn’t been washed. Staff was friendly and tried their best, but hotel is just rundown. Owners need to do a better job at overall maintenance. Breakfast was a nice addition and restaurant next door was good.
- 4/5
Place was nice, friendly staff.
- 1/5
The first room they initially had me in the shower was not working and they don’t like to answer the phone when you wanna call down to the lobby they will have you call 4 to 5 times and till they answer the phone then when they switched me over to the second room. It was no phone in there for me to contact them anyway so I still have to go back-and-forth back-and-forth to try to get what I needed in my room. It was just a bs experience and they just don’t care for real. They just care about the money as long as you keep giving them money that’s all they care about they don’t care about how you stay was. They don’t care how clean rooms are they don’t care if anything works in here and it shouldn’t be like That. Also, I have my reservation from Wednesday to Saturday and Friday. My key wasn’t working if I’m staying till Saturday and I gave you the money for Wednesday to Saturday why would you do that to my key?
- 5/5
Overall it was a good experience. I appreciate the service
- 2/5
Sketchy activity around and in the hotel.
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Great pool. Very supportive staff. A really great hotel for the reasonable rate.
- 5/5
Good experience! Clean and free breakfast
- 3/5
Room was clean and staff was wonderful! I love the location of the hotel but I’m not sure I’d book again as there are no emergency exits or stairwells. The only option is to use the single elevator for all the … 6 -8 floors. This is an extreme fire hazard and really puts the hotel at a disadvantage.
- 5/5
stay was great
- 5/5
Comfortable bed, clean sheets and towels. The staff is friendly and helpful! The property at the courtyard and pool beautiful and lobby area is lovely decorated and comfortable. I would recommend.
- 5/5
STAY WAS GOOD
- 2/5
Unfortunately our visit didn’t start out great. The phone in the room was ripped out if the wall. The fridge didn’t work. The tv remote was missing. We were promptly shown 4 other rooms with working phone/tv/fridge but sane run down look. The pictures that were listed of the property on the website is overly AI glossed over. The property is run down and needs major maintenance. The walls had cracks in them. The wallpaper needed replacing in multiple spots. The pool had noticeably peeling plaster in the bottom and didn’t look sanitary. I can say the breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about. Luckily we didn’t see bugs. The property was just in need of major updates and repair. The restaurant attached was awesome. The bartender who served us was very nice and the food was great!!
- 5/5
Good place nice pool
- 3/5
No WiFi during our 3 nights stay .
- 4/5
Nice
- 3/5
Good experience just had trouble with the showers
- 2/5
Everytime I walked in my room a smell would hit me. The best way I could describe the smell would be a very hairy wet dog. I was scared to take off my socks or go under the bed sheets. The pillows were very small. The bath tub looked gross. The room had a walkout patio to the parking lot which in my option was a security risk as the only thing separating you from a person with bad intentions was a breakable sliding glass door. If you wanted to use the workout room you had to go to the front desk as no ones key could open the door. The only good thing about this stay was the people at the desk. They were all very nice and helpful but wow this place was disgusting. DO NOT let the pictures of the lobby fool you.
- 4/5
Have rooms ready for check in. People are tired they want to rest .
- 1/5
The place smelled horrible. The elevator broke. The bed was damp felt unclean. Breakfast was burned meat gym was closed.
- 2/5
During our four-day stay, the hotel ran out of sheets and towels - how does that even happen? They shut down the elevators because of a rain storm. The in-room iron stained their pillowcase (because I was smart enough to test it on the pillowcase before trying it on my shirt). The continental breakfast was lacking, although a young girl did inform me that they were the best pancakes ever. The dry bagels (no cream cheese or butter) were fine, but definitely needed a spread. The eggs were powdered. The sausage was good, but spicier than reasonable for a crowd of strangers. There were huge bowls of something, maybe yogurt, that no one was eating because it was at room temperature (single-serve containers in the fridge would have been great). The balcony doors to both of our rooms were extremely difficult to open. The Internet was out throughout our stay, so no WiFi and no streaming on TV. The bathroom was very small. We had an unfortunate spill on the bed and were told there were no sheets or towels available to clean it up or remake the bed. The desk clerk was disinterested and unbothered. My husband insisted that at least they could take the sheets and towels from an unoccupied room, at which the clerk offered to move us to a new room. It was a pain to move all of our things, but it was better than nothing All in all, it was a passable place to sleep for the night, but not much else. The attached restaurant was very good. We would return to the restaurant, but not the hotel.
- 3/5
Bathroom towel too rough and tv did not have many Channels.
- 1/5
Phone didn’t work and check out time is way to early.
- 2/5
Wifi is not working. The hotel is smelling.
- 4/5
Budget friendly.
- 4/5
Very chill hotel located near downtown. I appreciated the reasonable price and decent amenities.
- 5/5
The Ramada was great , just as it always is. Great staff , clean rooms and comfy beds.
- 5/5
I loved my room and the view; the balcony was nice amenity. The AC worked great, the bathroom was bright and spacious, and I had no issues getting restful sleep. I only wish the body mirror were not placed in direct line to the hanging station. There's bad lighting in that spot and it doesn't allow for full body pictures which defeats the purpose of the mirror.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay.
- 3/5
Just OK. For the price we got compared to the surrounding hotels it was fine. To start with the whole property is old. The outside and the grounds are not very well taken care of. The parking lot needs a seal coat and there were rocks and debris all over the pavement. Exterior lighting out. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable and the A/C worked very well. The furnishing in the room is on its' last legs. It was old, worn, scraped, stained but functional. No smells in the room but I will agree with others that at times the hallways smelled not bad but funky. It doesn't help that the hallways don't have air-conditioning so they can get hot and therefore smelly. The smells were not overwhelming. Staff provided the minimum of perfunctory work. Interactions were not bad but no one was going an inch above the basics. If price is your main concern it will be fine. Otherwise I would try somewhere else. I certainly will.
- 5/5
I liked, no one bothers you, quiet, nice people, no complains
- 3/5
- 3/5
Probably will not stay here again
- 4/5
Great for the price. Very close to airport. Our only complaint was the parking, front of the building parking was full and all the side doors had signs saying Exit Only so you had to park towards back of building and walk all the way around building with luggage.
- 5/5
AC worked well. Beds are comfy
- 5/5
Nice hotel for a night or two stays
- 1/5
The room and the hotel hallway smelled like mold
- 1/5
They didn’t have Kleenex in room . Also didn’t have enough fruits for breakfast. Very bad smell in lobby on 3 rd floor. Never had this bad experience before. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.
- 5/5
Everything was great . They fridge wasn’t working in the original room but they swapped us out
- 4/5
The air conditioning unit had a weird smell, I know my room couldn’t be help but didn’t like how the “patio” doors didn’t feel secure being on the first floor and facing the gas station.
- 3/5
It was all pretty good, without being amazing
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Clean room, convenient location
- 3/5
The air conditioning in our room made the carpet immediately in front of it damp, so we needed to avoid that area of the room when walking without shoes. The breakfast is small, but we had to wait a long time to get food because the staff was making waffles and getting coffee for themselves during the breakfast rush. It's in a convenient location and a fairly clean place, but I wouldn't stay there again.
