This is a property that seems like it has gone through a couple of renovations already and is long overdue for another. Is it within walking distance of The Domain? Yes. Is it technically clean? Yes. Did the A/C in the room work? Yes. Was there hot water and plenty of it? Yes. Those are the only positives of our stay. The rooms were spacious but spartan. Bedding was clean but minimal, mattress uncomfortable, a rough night's sleep. Three hangers in a closet that has room for dozens. Spartan. Very bright lights coming in from outside at night but the curtains worked well enough. I'm pretty sure I would not stay here again. I think there's better accommodations in the area for roughly the same price. The photos give a much different impression of the property than it was in person. It is on the low end for the area.

Location is the main reason I stay at this location. Great to be near restaurants and shopping. Room was spacious with comfortable bed. Shower pressure and hot water are amazing! I have stayed at this location numerous times in the past few months. Even though I stated to them upon checking in that I love the location and prefer to stay at this location no positive reaction given. As if I had not said anything. Hotel was unkept. Hallways were dirty and the elevator was broken. Had an issue with the AC which stopped working around 1:00am and water was leaking under the unit. Because of the time I didn't call down to the front desk to complain we just tried to get the best sleep we could because we were getting up early to get on the road. Upon checking out I did mention to the front desk that the AC had broken and water had gotten the carpet wet and all she said was okay I'll let the maintenance guy know. I asked if any compensation could be given due to what had happened and the response was -- well if you had called when it stopped working we could have moved you or given you a credit but since you waited until you were checking out then we can't do anything. I responded with I didnt want to call or move rooms at 1am when we were getting up a few hours later to leave and were already frustrated with the warm room and didnt want to deal with all the conversation and moving to another room. No apology was given. Felt really overlooked since I do like the location and have had great room experience over the past few months.

This La Quinta was absolutely the best priced hotel in the domain area of Austin Texas. It is an older property that when it gets a refresh is gonna cost a little bit more than it did last night rooms were clean bathrooms needed to be upgraded a little bit more, the pool was not functioning. The free breakfast was as to be expected desk staff was great place was packed. It was great spot for people going to the soccer game at the Q2. It was very near the domain. It was a bargain. That’s what we needed that night.

The breakfast was great. Adding waffles is a good addition, I always add in bananas . Bacon was perfect, everything was good. And rooms are not too far away so can make it back to room with no spills. I would like to see the fruit tray that use to be part of the breakfast back again. Loved the grapefruit and pineapples in the morning. But they were not there this time ....

Front desk at check out was rude and inconsiderate. Will never be back. Ever.

very unhappy. cleaning crew rude and not helpful , our car got infested with ants over night when we came out in the morning and discovered it we stripped everything out of the car shaking everything down cleaning as many ants out as we could before we had to go vacuum it and then bomb the car and then drive 13 hours back home the staff watched us do so as he swept the parking lot and then mysteriously my $300 weather tech) floor mats come up missing and he just gives a weird looks the room was supposed to be a king bed and it was damn near two twin beds now I see why this hotel was so cheap very disappointing

I had this room reserved from August 6th-9th. Paid a lot of money for the room. There were no vending machines available the pool was green. The room was old, large crack on the door, can hear everything outside of the room. The counter where they sat the coffee pot was slanted so whenever I made coffee it would flow onto the floor. The service was ok, location & breakfast good. I'm most disappointed in the tv not working, pool out of order (If I would have known, I would not have stayed here.

The location was very good. Walking distance to Domain. My only complain is the aircondition is very noisy and not cooling enough even we set it up to 65.

Location was excellent, so was the price I had a package delivered which unfortunately arrived an hour after I left. La Quinta says they did not receive the package although the courier has proven it. So my important delivery is lost somewhere in the suites and after 2 emails with me they have not bothered to reply again. The staff during my stay were pretty average - my key card wouldn't work to let me in through any exterior doors - I got stuck in the pool area for example (the main one opens automatically thankfully) and the 3 different staff I asked for help with it just said it's ok just don't use those doors and didn't want to fix the issue.

As I walked inside the hotel everything was fine until I walked in the hallways and the elevator which was hot and humid. When I walked into my room I noticed that one of the handles of the restroom door was missing. In addition the toilet made a loud bang noise as it is flushed and the water pressure of the shower head was off and not to the best ability. I have always stayed in quinta hotels and my experience is always phenomenal until I arrived to this location.

I never stayed there but when I arrived they told me the pool was closed and they directed us to another horrible location. The parking lots was stained and dirty and the lobby was overly scented to disquise the smell of the room. The pool was closed , they don’t answer the phones at the front desk or reservations and they charged me and I didn’t even stay there.

The front desk staff were not particularly friendly and seemed to wish they were anywhere else but there. Didn't see them after check-in so no biggie. Would definitely stay here again for the right price.

The staff is not very friendly, the pool was closed, it’s the middle of summer! Ran out of eggs at breakfast, took around an hour to re supply.

Hotel location was perfect for someone who wants to be close to Domain area, walking distance. Unfortunately the pool was out of order, disappointed because I picked the hotel for the location and the pool, the kids were disappointed too. Breakfast area was a bit messy and not refilled properly before the closing time. Some were empty since 9AM (weekend close at 10) and the staff only came twice to check.

Bathroom is outdated and toilet sprays you when flushing. Very small TV. Loud AC. Had to get a new key card every day because they stopped working. Hotel didn’t recognize Expedia booking and it took quite a while to get checked in. Breakfast was good. Parking was good.

We stayed for five nights and it was a very pleasant stay. My son loved the breakfast every morning. Everything was clean and the staff were lovely and very helpful.

Our room (106) smelled really moldy. The bathroom needed some repairs and the door didn’t close all the way plus the door was filthy. The front desk girl with long brown hair was very cold and unwelcoming. I stood at the front desk for a while before she acknowledged me.

Being that the hotel is located beside the Domain I was thinking that it would be more maintained. You get the feel when you enter that this is more of a long term stay for most people. The rooms are clean but had a mildew smell when you open the door. It was reasonably priced but I now understand why it was priced so well. It needs a facelift!

The room was big and clean! Shower had great water pressure! Were not morning people, so we didn't eat the breakfast here. We were here from Oklahoma for a wedding. We loved how close we were to the domain for shopping and food. The staff were very nice and happy to have us!

Room was decent but the hallways were hot; a/c unit in the room didn’t blow cold but mildly cool, and the shower in the room couldn’t be shut off completely. Overall, underwhelming room, but got a place to sleep.

The staff was very friendly and that have a homey warm environment. The pool was nice. However the door closest to our room didn’t work so we had to go around to get to our room. The food was pretty good. Nice variety. And the room was spacious. All in all a very good stay.

The front desk people are terrible customer service and rude. They act like don’t want to be there and hate their job! Not friendly at all!

Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Basic, affordable place to stay that seemed well-maintained. Two things could have been better - room was stuffy and didn't smell very fresh unless the AC was blasted, so better ventilation would go a long way. Also, elevators do not require kye card to operate, so not the most secure hotel.

You can tell the property is a little old. The bathroom tub needs to be redone. There were a lot of stains on our hotel wall. I guess from it being old. The room was pretty much old but mainly we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was very good. it was hot and on time in the morning the pool was fun. The lobby area was very clean too. I use the fitness room multiple times. It was hot and stuffy in there, but one of the staff told me I could crack the door for ventilation which helped. But another staff member was rude to another guest. I witnessed the next day about the fitness room being stuffy so not all or friendly but somewhere helpful. All in all if you’re looking for an average hotel, not too upscale basically somewhere to sleep for a few days because we were there for a tournament, I would suggest this place. The price is very nice but again The hotel room was not very clean and the restrooms and everything were outdated.

The internet was bad in my suite for work and requested another room and it was downgraded to a none suite. So I paid more for less.

This was my best experience with LaQuinta ever. Starting from the staff at the desk to the courtesy throughout the stay. The food was a bit off with not much choices but still, it was a great time.

Great walkable location to shopping, dining, and Whole Foods. Spacious rooms, breakfast, pool, fitness center. Great stay!

Customer service at front desk was not really good at all. I had to sit there for 30 seconds. Two women were talking at the front desk and they finally decided to turn around and help me check out. The hotel room was not really clean outdated they had a smell of mold in the hotel room. We’ll never stay there again. I rather pay more for better, clean room and pay less and get that kind of situation.

The room did not seem like it was air conditioned and they said to “prop the outside door open to let air flow.” Overall, it was a good hotel and budget friendly.

Priced low for a reason. The entire property smelled like mold, and even our rented rooms had a strong mildew odor. The smell was persistent and made our stay uncomfortable. We checked out 2 hrs later and went to another hotel. Would not recommend!

The first room we were given smelled like mold and mildew and the AC unit was covered in mold. Our second room had mold on the windows and in the bathroom shower. If you have a sensitivity to allergens I would not recommend staying at this property. The hallways smelled like cigarettes and mildew. The property is not as well maintained as it was the first time we visited a few years ago, so our expectations were not met. The front desk agents were helpful but not professional.

Two of the front end ladies were rude. Like they were annoyed when we'd ask them a question.

The woman that gave us customer service was adamant about having to put in a debit card for a deposit when we had already gotten confirmation through our Affirm account. Well we are now are having to stop all kinds of transactions in our Bank account because they hacked my debit card. So upset with that hotel staff

The white woman at the front desk was lazy. I asked an extra blanket around 7 pm, and she said no more blanket without even taking a look. And her face said that I was not welcome: she is the worst hotel receptionist I have ever met. The breakfast was just okay.

Ran out of food!

The whole room smelled bad. Sheets and pillow covers as well. There were stain marks on everything.

Toilet in the first assigned room was pumping water like a fountain, then in the second assigned room it took forever to fill up. But I decided not to request another change. Bathroom was not quite clean, as I found lots of hairs around.

Staff were friendly and helpful. In-room internet service was unreliable. There were no doggie poop bags available at the property so there was evidence of dog visits around the property. Overall, the room was clean, and the hotel is conveniently located.

I went to check in and I had prepaid I had the credit card I used to pay for my room I lost my ID but I had a picture of it and I was turned away . So I went to a different hotel and they were able to check me on with my credit card and they were picture of my ID . I drove all the way from Houston and I wasn’t going to have a place to stay.
