Everything was excellent. The room, cleanliness and dining areas. The breakfast was the best part! Least favorite part was the valet parking , it was expensive.

was a great experience the staff were helpful all the way from the ballet up to the cleaning everything was clean tidy breakfast was fresh and prompt. It was really good. I recommend the only thing if I learn that kind of guy to me was the valet is expensive, but if you are there late enough, there’s usually street parking.

The bed was like sleeping on a hay bale covered with cardboard. No coffee for guests before 7:30 w/o purchase of of over priced Starbucks. Lobby music as load as a club at 6 am. Will not stay here again.

Location was perfect. Breakfast buffet had everything you need. Staff and valet were super friendly. The comfort of the sofa bed was not great at all and there was only one pillow for it and no blanket.

Hyatt Place is far from being a luxurious hotel. It is solid but rather drab or even uninviting. It is not super comfy. This said, everything is functional and works well. Breakfast was rather unappetizing. My large room had no carpeting, just artificial, laminated floor imitating wood.

NOTHING - CAR VALET IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE ($65). IT IS NOT NYC- SORRY. - RECEPTION IS NOT WILLING TO HELP FOR PARKING AND TRY TO FORCE YOU TO USE VALET. - A/C IS EXTREME LOUD, YOU CAN'T SLEEP.

Our room was always clean and neat. The Staff helped us on directions and other small requests. Breakfast was a normal Continental. The bar was fine and busy and bar food was ok. Very conveniently located. Only con was the parking overnight price which is super expensive so watch out for more convenient self parking around. Walked at night for food and music, will totally come back!

It was a very nice hotel. The only thing that hit me with a surprise was the $60 fee for valet. Other than that it was nice and clean. Staff was amazing too. Super kind!

The hotel needs updating. There was mold in the vents in the bathroom, there was no streaming services on the tv which is weird for today’s day and age. They charged my $150 up front at the desk for “incidentals” and then charged me again for $43 randomly the next day. I never received any communication back from the property when I was trying to find out how to work the tv and then had questions about the area. Never got anyone to respond.

Our stay was excellent. The room and bathroom were very clean, and there was plenty of workspace for my husband. The location is fantastic, with numerous restaurants and shopping options just minutes away. Although we didn't have the opportunity to use the hotel's amenities since we were only there for two days, our stay was exactly what we needed during such a special time for our family. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located hotel.

Didn’t have it

The property is right in the heart of downtown. What we loves was the fact it was easy to walk to so many great places and getting Uber was a sinch. Very safe area. A few aggressive homeless folks but never felt in danger. Beyond that the hotel was great and we will be back again for sure.

The check in process was a little unorganized but we made it through. The Valet men were phenomenal! Travis made sure we never had to wait for our car and he gave us lots of recommendations.

Room was clean, front desk staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and where to go grab dinner. Breakfast bar was out of multiple items of food as guests were collecting and waiting.

And the valet had my vehicle ready. As soon as I walked outside, overall, very pleasant experience.

I really enjoyed my 3 night stay. The location is great, nice and quite but not to far from the busy areas of Austin. The staff are fantastic especially Paula, she was very helpful. Breakfast is decent but the gym has what you need but basic.

Our room was spacious, clean, and definitely updated. Top notch. Only complaint is the level of noise from the AC fan/blower. The lighting is low in room and in bathroom.

The elevator issues it was horrible hotel was full and ony one elevator working had to wait like 30 minutes to get down from 15 floor and everything it get to the top was already full whe we check out we had to bring all luggage through the stairs

While I enjoyed my time in Austin, I kind of regret choosing the Hyatt hotel. The Wifi connection was very poor. There were three elevators, but only one was operational, resulting in waits of over 15-20 minutes to either leave or return to my room. The air conditioning in the room continuously ran, despite multiple adjustments to reach a comfortable temperature. Overall, it wasn't awful, just somewhat frustrating. I was automatically enrolled in the Hyatt rewards program and received an extra 500 points due to the inconveniences. However, I'm not sure how that truly compensates for the issues I faced, as I likely won't return to that hotel again.

Our room was on the 9th floor for the July 4th weekend. This property has 3 elevators, so you would think that getting back and forth from your room would be easy. I rode in one and it sounded and felt like a bad roller coaster. It made horrible grinding and banging noises while strongly jostling back and forth. When I and others went to ride a different elevator back up from the lobby we discovered that all 3 of the elevators were malfunctioning and were shut down by the hotel. This occurred on a Saturday July 4th. After the fireworks ended everyone staying at the hotel came back to discover this problem along with us. People attempted to use the stairs but the hotel shut those down as well for "safety reasons". Apparently, there's no main access to the stairwells from the lobby and you have to go through their backroom facilities to get their service stairs. They instead, had hundreds, "as in 400+ people wait in a line to use their service elevator to go up to your room. This took an hour for you to get your turn. If you dare go down to the lobby for food or to go to another business next to the hotel you had to go through this long wait again. The next morning, the there were no elevators and people used the stairs to find that they exited out into the alley. Then you were stuck trying to get back to your room. People were in their pajamas. Kids crying. It was a horrible experience. We had to carry two trips worth of luggage down 9 floors. Don't go here!

Room was nice and staff was friendly, but the elevators broke down and upon departure we stood outside in the heat for a half hour before our car was tracked down and brought out.

Start with the good: The staff were wonderful and very helpful. Overall the hotel is very clean. Excellent location for food, music, and downtown activities. The bad: The rooms are much smaller than you think they'll be. Also, the room was very difficult to maintain the temperature. It was either too cold or too warm. The beds are not comfortable. In fact, I'd call them uncomfortable, especially the sofa bed. The most frustrating part was the valet parking. To be clear: the valet workers were fast, friendly, and helpful, it was just an inconvenience and extra cost. You had to tip every single time you want your vehicle, on top of the massive $60/per night fee for storage. Heaven forbid you forget something from your car, b/c you can't just go get it. A valet driver must go get it for you and then, yep, you have to tip again. Tip after tip after tip. It drained our discretionary funds and cash on hand.

The breakfast was average for my wife and I, but I believe it would've been great for others. We stayed five days and ate breakfast two of those days and went out for the other three days. The staff was very friendly and even helpful about the different places to eat at during our stay. Parking was not a concern of our because we took an Lyft/Uber

The noise from the air conditioning system was so loud that we eventually had to turn it off so we could sleep. The room had no plugins for electronics, etc. if you hadn’t brought your own plug you were out of luck. An indication that the hotel needs updating. The gentlemen at the valet station did not know nor had they ever heard of Austin City Limits..all 3 of them.

Everything went well, staff is attentive and very nice! One of the lampshades in the room fell apart out of nowhere and it was above the couch, I reported and maintenance came right away to fix it so that was great. Unfortunately the pool is not there anymore. Gym equipment was decent.

A modern hotel located in the heart of Austin. Just steps from the trails and the vibrant downtown scene. Perfect location with the perfect combination of amazing staff and an amazing room. The breakfast had something for everyone!

Clean! Walking distance to many coffee shops and eateries. Provided breakfast was nice and convenient. They only have valet parking, so be sure to accomodate for that in your budget. We were able to request for our car through our cell phone which made the whole process smooth and efficient. Very kind and helpful staff! We enjoyed our stay here and would book here again.
