Reviews
The hotel has a great location with easy access to downtown and local attractions. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, especially Alessia. However, there are issues with the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms, and the breakfast is disappointing. Additionally, the area around the hotel is not safe and has a high number of homeless people.
- Great location
- Friendly and helpful staff, especially Alessia
- Cleanliness and maintenance issues in rooms
- Disappointing breakfast

Checking in had a long line. Was about a 15 minute wait which was frustrating. Staff was friendly which was a plus. Rooms were just ok, nothing fancy. The dissatisfaction came when they was no hot water to shower with. This was very disappointing. I would recommend staying somewhere else.
- 4/5
There are limited parking spots; please keep this in mind.
- 2/5
The staff was terrible, we went and asked for a different room on the night we arrived due to the noisy room we got. There is a night club next door and we asked for a room with less noise, the woman in the front bluntly said “No, I have specific rooms for real issues”. The parking is a mess the first three floors is for valet only come to find out on the night we left we could have picked any parking spot that was available. We had to leave a night early due to the noise.

Friendly atmosphere clean rooms close to everything I literally walked the whole weekend

A/C near the bed is noisy.

Super clean and very good staff

Unfortunately, our two-night stay was extremely disruptive. A group of guests on our floor were arguing, shouting, and making noise until around 3 a.m. My husband eventually contacted the front desk, and the situation escalated to the point that police became involved. The guests reportedly wouldn’t even open the door for them. We were later told there were also serious concerns regarding the guests. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable staying and decided to move to another hotel. Definitely not the experience we expected.

The two different entities was very confusing. Our elder veteran friend could not navigate alone at all. Lost cane keys and more of his mind on this Austin trip. Received a parking violation because Austin has a ridiculous parking issue. I did end up using the hotel garage and was not pleased with price but it was $25 dollars cheaper than the Austin ticket. Nice stay great beds and pillows GREAT SLEEP❤️
- 1/5
The hotel, was in the process of being merged with another hotel. No hot water overnight, staff was scarce to non. Parking was $50 for one day. Our nice refuge in downtown Austin, will be moving our business to a different hotel.
- 5/5
Great area, friendly staff!! Nothing
- 5/5
Everything was clean
- 2/5
There was no hot water. The notice that came said hot water would be restored at 7am. That did not happen. Manager was not onsite and the poor fro t desk woman was so overwhelmed she could barley handle anything
- 4/5
2 hotels in one 3 different elevators. It was confusing to check in take 1 Elevator then go to other elevator to go to room. Same for parking also.
- 4/5
I would recommend the Holiday Inn Express. But navigating 2 hotels under one roof was difficult.
- 4/5

- 3/5
The hotel wasn’t the most convenient as it felt like a maze getting from garage, lobby check in and to the room. The parking was $50 additional to the reservation which is incredibly expensive and should be included. The breakfast was okay nothing special cereal, juice, muffins bread, bagels, coffee & juice. The positive is that the hotel room was pretty clean. I probably wouldn’t stay here again as the price was expensive for the overall experience.
- 4/5
The shower head was falling out and thw soap dispenser was falling out....fix that!
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful! Location was great if you are going for night life. If you aren’t going for nightlife maybe a different location would be better because you do hear the club music pretty loud through the windows in your hotel room. But I did love staying here!
- 4/5
Indigo and HIE hotel. I made my reservation with parking included but nobody realized it until I was leaving. Didn’t come down before 9:30 am so I didn’t get to try breakfast. The staff with experience is great and go out of their way to help, it is noticeable, because who the in-training receptionist are, is obvious can’t resolve anything. Location is great. I got a room with noisy air conditioner but they provide on your night stand “ear plugs” so you can sleep well. LOL
- 3/5
Parking for one night was $40, our uber to Moody Center was $12. The parking spaces were very narrow. The A/C in the room was very loud. The room could use renovation. The bathroom was dated. There were water stains and the water pressure was low. Pour lighting in the room. The beds were very comfortable though. 20min. walk from the Moody Center. A/C in the lobby and bar area did not work. Not sure that I would stay here again. Reviews very mixed
- 3/5
Everything was great clean room and bed champagne strawberries were in my room just like I asked for! Great experience
- 4/5
Boring spot with convenient location. Confusing that there are 2 hotels in the same building, with the same front desk.
- 5/5
We had a nice stay! I would stay here again!

Clean room. Great location

No hot water in entire hotel. Broken elevator in garage. Broken AC in lobby. Very confusing to get to your room. I complained and manager said he would issue a full refund. After I left manager said he never said that and wouldn’t offer a refund. What a dump. And have liars managing the place. I would never stay here again.

No hot water in entire hotel. No working elevators in garage. Broken ac in lobby. Very confusing to get to your room. I complained and left 2 days early. Manager said he would give a full refund. After I left manager said he never said that and wouldn’t issue a refund. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. What a dump. And have liars managing the place.
- 1/5
Not too much to like staying here Paying an outrageous amount for parking
- 4/5
The room was adequate and clean. The buffet breakfast was good and one of the only ones that the area hotels offer. Overall the HIE had it's plusses and minus but we would probably stay there again give a choice.
- 2.5/5
It was a good place to stay for the night. The check in process took about 30 minutes. It took two staff members to get one person checked in. Once we were up, it took them no time to get use checked in.

The property almost looked abandoned. You had to go to the sister property to even check in. There is no at the front desk rooms were dated. It just felt unsafe.
- 4/5
everything was good. the hotel was 9 mins away from the moody center and few mins from 6th street but overall it was a good stay. would stay again. very confusing from the drop off tho.
- 5/5
What I like about the hotel is that everything is clean and being in the pool relaxing.
- 4/5
Gracias me gustó la vista de la piscina
- 4/5
The location to downtown was Great Parking was 50 dollars to use the garage attached to the building.
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful, room was clean a comfortable, water wasn't very hot for showers
- 5/5
Everything was great .
- 1/5
The entire hotel had one working elevator. The pool was murky and had weave and fake eyelashes floating around in it. No curtains so lights shining in the room all night. When you pulled out the couch bed it took up the entire floor so you had to crawl over it to get to the other side of the room. The check in for the hotel was at a different hotel. The website states it had a swim up bar and it did not. Also stated breakfast was until 11am but it was shut down at 9:30am. It was just a horrible experience.
- 5/5
Good staff and clean room

No hot water. Elevators not working. Very confusing to get to room. Will never stay here again. This seems to be an issue based off other reviews.

Once I finally reached my room, I got my kids ready to enjoy the pool for the evening. However, when we arrived at the pool area, there was a pool party taking place that was clearly geared toward adults. There was excessive drinking, inappropriate dancing, and an overall atmosphere that was not suitable for families with children. None of this was disclosed or advertised at the time I made my reservation. Had I known about these conditions, I would have chosen a different hotel for my family’s stay. I spoke with the hotel staff to express my concerns, but I was disappointed by their response. I was simply told that it “wasn’t their problem,” which demonstrated a lack of concern for guest experience and customer service. Overall, this stay fell far below the expectations set when I booked the hotel. Between the closed lobby, inaccessible elevators, lack of communication, and the unexpected adult-only atmosphere at the pool, my family’s experience was significantly impacted. I would appreciate an appropriate response and consideration for the inconvenience and disappointment we experienced.

Clean facility, friendly staff, close proximity to bars and restaurants. Parking was expensive per day. No parking offered by hotel.
- 1/5
We had to walk multiple flights of stairs! The noise from the a/c unit was so loud that I got no sleep. The hotel would not give me a receipt for my room so not sure what I was even charged. The extra $100 for possible charges will not be refunded for several days.
- 5/5
I had a wonderful stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The front desk staff were so nice, friendly, and helpful—they truly made my experience even better. They went above and beyond with their excellent customer service. I would definitely stay here again!

Pleasant
- 4/5
Room was nice and clean. Staff were friendly and the amenities were fine. The only issue is navigating the property and parking. It’s not seamless, but not impossible to figure out either. Was not straightforward, which is the only reason for 4 stars.
- 4/5
Another issue was that the elevator wasn’t working, so we had to carry our luggage up and down the stairs, which was very inconvenient. The biggest surprise was the parking cost. It was $50 for just 4 hours, not for a day. We ended up spending more on parking than we did on the actual room. My advice is to read the reviews before booking. I didn’t, and I definitely learned my lesson.
- 2/5
Both organizations are in the middle of a merger which took place in January and they are still feeling the pains from those challenges. I wish that there was SOME transparency to the customers! • BIGGEST OFFENCE: My card was compromised!! • Elevators in the garage were not operational – you will need to valet if you are unable to “do” stairs multiple times a day. • Portions of the hotel did not have air conditioning • Our room (specifically) did not have hot water along with low water pressure • Bathroom was not clean • Please check your credit card statement for multiple garage payments – you cannot pay your parking with your hotel bill. You will need to scan a QR code Just be mindful of these hurdles when booking your stay. Take care.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Confusing parking though.
- 1.5/5
Clean, decent breakfast, convenient to downtown I've stayed there three times, and the fact they combined the check-in desks for the two hotels had already made it more inconvenient. Combine that with the fact that apparently ALL the parking garage elevators were out of service, and it made just getting to the desk to check in a massive pain in the backside. That's on top of then having to take one elevator to the common floor, walk a good distance to the holiday elevators IN THE LOBBY, and then go up to my floor. I didn't realize I was paying for an escape room. Follow the clues.

What was bad about the garage/hotel all the elevators where not working , garage was small and not spacecious to really park
- 5/5
Our stay was great.
- 5/5
All good 👍
- 3/5
Hotel was okay, we didn’t have a lot of water pressure in the shower. We had to turn the shower on for 10 minutes so the hot water can come out. They only took dirty towels and made our bed. There was hair stuck on the wall on chipped paint by the shower and the staff never cleaned it. That’s how I knew they didn’t properly sanitize or clean the rooms.
- 5/5
Good well maintained

The room was super comfortable. The staff was friendly.

Wasn’t as expected. Staff was very nice though. Also there is only vending machines no “snacks 24/7” how they say
- 3/5
parking is expensive and hard to find the right way to the hotel through the garage at lease with out asking someone.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff and great customer service.
- 2/5
No hot water the entire stay
- 4/5
Nice breakfast
- 4/5
Good location.
- 1/5
terrible customer service. they gave my room reservations to other customers and told me that i had no reservation. treated me like i was stupid and pushed me off to the side to help other customers instead just to find out she had given my room to someone else. waited a whole hr and a half just to get checked in.
- 4/5
Garage and parking are a major hassle because the building is split into 2 hotels.. and parking access is like walking up and down 3-5 flights of stairs.. they need to get an elevator fixed.. we had this problem for 10 days now.
- 4/5
The ac made a lot of noise and the walls were thin you could hear peoples conversations from other rooms. The hotel advertised free parking and it not true, we had to pay for parking.
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay!
- 3/5
The hotel was super nice . The guy in the front was super nice helpful . There was a lady working night shift terrible attitude I just ask for question and she was making a rude face . $50 for parking is crazy .
- 5/5
Good pool
- 1/5
Ice machine didn’t work parking lot elevators didn’t work. Friend said he stayed here before and it wasn’t working then either.
- 3/5
We had a water problem but the staff at the front desk was so kind and helpful
- 1/5
No water to flush toilet or take a shower, staff not helpful, no parking
- 5/5
Rooms were very comfortable and good AC. The staff were great. The parking is expensive.
- 3/5
Great location but hotel is two hotels I one so a maze maneuvering. Also be prepared music plays loud around it until 1 am
- 3/5
The elevators were out of pounded, the lobby/ bar did not have a/c and parking was full every night.
- 5/5
Quick check-in and quick turn around when the battery on the door malfunctioned. Things happen and the staff was very helpful and managed without delay!! We were in town for a special event & we will be back on our next visit to Austin!!
- 2/5
The elevators weren’t working. The shower head and water pressure was hard to use and barely had any pressure. The tub was peeling. It was noisy too. Oh and parking was extremely expensive.
- 3/5
The lobby was closed and the parking elevator wasn't working we had to walk to the neighborhood hotel to get access
- 1/5
We arrived and found out the parking is $47 per day and 4 floors down from lobby level. We finally find an elevator to take us to check-in and ALL elevators are not functioning. We carry all our luggage up 4 floors to find the entire hotel has ZERO staff. Staff is only at the Indiglow hotel attached to this hotel. We arrive to our rooms after a long travel day and just want to shower and rest....well, no hot water or water pressure. The shower drips cold water only. They are working on the water boilers and did not bother to notify guests. Breakfast was good, place is clean. We expressed our frustration with MATTHEW at the front desk. This guy is the only positive thing this property has going for them! He was understanding and handled the situation he had no control over professionally. Thank you sir! We checked out 2 days early and we're refunded our stay. We booked another hotel just outside the city and it should've been our first choice. This was on 07/15/26. Do NOT stay here.
- 1/5
Call ahead and ask if there is hot water. Garage parking only $40.
- 2/5
The biggest disappointment was the shower. The water pressure and overall quality were extremely poor—honestly worse than what I’ve experienced at some of the cheapest hotels. Unfortunately, these issues took away from an otherwise pleasant stay.
- 5/5
Great and enjoyed stay
- 5/5
Really helpful staff! Nice pool.
- 1/5
Problem with the water, 2 days without water. And the elevator for the garage no works.
- 1/5
I’ve stayed here multiple times in the past and have been treated well and for some reason this time was a COMPLETELY different experience. We got a knock at our hotel room late at night with accusations that we were being too loud when 1 of us was already in bed for the night another packing clothes for the morning and another just eating watching a movie on phone. Wasn’t bothered really by the knock late at night what bothered us was the staff member speaking to us very rudely and when we asked what we were doing to be so loud she said they were calling her about us slamming doors and knocking on doors when we knew for a fact it was the person next to us because we came back from roaming the city and they were outside yelling at someone in their room for them to let her in just banging and screaming. We told her it was the neighbor she said she didn’t care the complaint was about our room made 0 sense if we’re telling you what happened. Naked guy in the elevator area sitting there exposed smell of pee all over the area disgusted. Elevators didn’t work for parking lot a bunch of back and forth could run out of space writing how dissatisfied and disappointed I was with the stay this year. WONT be coming back if they paid us too. Highly recommend searching for a stay elsewhere..
- 1/5
My stay was super inconvenient the water wasn’t working for a few hours and the elevators from the parking garage also didn’t work. And you can’t check in in the actual holiday inn you have to check in at indigo.
- 5/5
一切都很美好除了早餐不是很好吃之外
- 3/5
There’s a 100$ deposit they don’t mention. Parking is 35-70$ a night. Austin is trying to keep the tourists away. The hotel was ok, it was cheaper than the parking and deposit. Wouldn’t stay in Austin again. Cost to much to visit, I’d like to spend my money in businesses not parking. Was a homeless man with his pant around his knees walking around in front of hotel.
- 4/5
Awesome!
- 3/5
This was an aging hotel that needs some refurbishment doing very soon. The room wasn’t very nice and the AC was very noisy. The location was good and there were plenty of bars and restaurants near by. We went here as we were following England at the World Cup.
- 5/5
Great location close to main atractions, safe area, room was clean and comfortable, great staff and great breakfast
- 5/5
Staff was amazing, everything was neat and clean.
- 5/5
Interesting that it’s connected to another hotel on the backside and we had to go around the block to check in. The hotel did not have its own check in area. But, once we were there we enjoyed the hotel and amenities.
- 5/5
It’s was nice and peasant stay
- 4/5
I didn't realize the hotel was under construction but service was still amazing. Be careful if you plan on parking because I paid for it through hotels.com but was still charged $50 by the garage itself.
- 2/5
The parking situation was not good. I was quoted $40 parking per Expedia, but when I got to the hotel they wanted $50. I had to pull up my Expedia info to show them the $40 quote and then they could match it. They confirmed in and out privileges. I went out and in that night and got charged 2 more times for parking. In the mean time of trying to fix this I realized no remote control in the room. 10pm at night. I called the front desk from my hotel phone but they didn’t answer. So I called the phone number to hotel via my cell and I got some other customer service desk. They stated they would note the account. They couldn’t get me connected to front desk. When I checked out I forgot to ensure if the front desk got the message about the remote. Since I had yet another charge for parking I was trying to get that squared away. I got home and tried to call the hotel twice more to find out if they got the memo re: the remote not being there. I could never ever get the front desk. If I get charged for this as incidental, I am going to dispute it. I have done everything to try to connect with someone who can help.
- 3/5
Currently sending express guests to Indigo (connected sister hotel) so there is a bit of confusion and additional elevator rides.
- 4/5
It was good
- 4/5
Rooms were comfortable and the staff were helpful. The bathrooms should be remodeled or deep cleaned. It looked as if some mold had built up in the shower area. The bathroom was very spacious.
- 1/5
& the $50 nightly parking is whack.
- 4/5
Close to the venue we were attending. Clean, friendly staff. We really enjoyed our time there.
- 3/5
Not well kept
- 5/5
Love how close it is to everything, don’t like going back and forth between hotel indigo and holiday inn.
- 3/5
AC wasn’t working in foyer but was fine in the room. Room was a little dingy but served its purpose. Super confusing trying to find your way to your room having to use multiple elevators.
- 5/5
staff was very helpful and the room was lovely, only complaint was breakfast and the drink dispenser not working but that’s not their fault
- 1/5
Night auditor was extremely rude. Had to go through multiple elevators just to get to the room because one of the holiday inn elevators was out of service.. Should of just gotten a cheaper hotel be cause of the inconvenience.
- 5/5
Hotel was pretty nice. Room was spacious. I would reserve again.
