The location I didn't like that they don't accept dogs and that breakfast isn't included; you have to pay for breakfast, and I find it very expensive. It was unpleasant stepping on the carpet; there was a nail, and one of my children hurt his foot when he stepped on it.

This is an older hotel, but it is clean, well maintained, our room was updated and the staff were incredibly helpful and nice. Our room wasn't ready on time so they comped us a couple of drinks even though we weren't upset. The bar has a decent selection, the bartender was friendly and knowleagable. The parking is free, which is rare as you get closer to downtown Austin. Nice location for walking along the small lake or renting a kayak on the weekends. Our 2nd stay here and we'll be back.

May be the location is the best thing The air conditioning is very weak some of the stuff was really rude attempt to help us with a very poker face and also was rude and very uncooperative when we wanted to receive a package we ordered from amazon. The body lotion was empty from day one never filled the whole stay and the house keeping lady speaks only Mexican she doesn’t understand English was super hard to communicate with her.
- 3.5/5
Awesome staff & decent breakfast. Tiny room & no door separating bathroom dressing area & room. No ice machine on 2nd floor. No shade at pool.
- 5/5
Nice room and great staff. Only spent 1 night but would stay here again when visiting the city.
- 5/5
Good hotel
- 5/5
Great location near the river. Saw the bats sunset from the pool. We noticed occasional whistling when the wind would gust along the corner room.
- 4/5
Great stay in Austin and close to Ladybird Lake which we used for our activities. Hotel is in easy walking distance of the Capitol building, restaurants and shops and had parking which we needed. Room was large and WiFi great.

Very great stay!.

Great breakfast. Our room was hot and didnt really cool down until after sundown. The building is old and needs updating. Our view was awesome. Convenient to Rainey Street. Austin sucks.
- 5/5
This property was great. The shuttle is amazing, we took it several times. The employees were amazing.
- 4.5/5
I liked the location, near downtown, restaurants, and shops. Walking distance from a nice lake for walks. My room was on the seventh floor overlooking the highway. So the noise from the cars was a factor in not being able to sleep as well as I would have liked.

Convenient location close to downtown. Rooms with a view. Free airport shuttle, though I wasn’t able to use it on the way in because of a tire blow out. Staff provided meal coupons to make up for it. Nice customer service! Water in shower never got hot. I wish there were umbrellas or some shade in the pool area.
- 4/5
All was good. Only issue was water pressure in shower could have been better

AC did not work well room would go from cold to hot all night long
- 3/5
The hotel itself was really nice, but the road noise was killer. So loud, none of us could sleep.

We like our lake view and they have plenty parking at the building

austin is my place! since I moved to California, I regularly visit twice a year and always stay in this hotel next to the river, I love water ( I’m an island girl) but, this time I was in room 630. It was very very Bad! it needs a Serious Renovations! From the carpet to the wallpaper , furniture’s and appliances are all outdated all the way to the curtain! Holiday Inn, you need to do an action immediately or else you’re gonna get a big penalty tickets from The Hotel Room Style Police! That’s it! I’m coming again soon to visit so ,be prepared!

Took my family(4) to Austin for the 4th of July. The room was on the 6th floor facing the lake and fireworks. Absolutely gorgeous. My wife and kids loved it. We were close (2 minutes) from the lake and walking path. 5-6 minutes from great restaurants and shops on Rainey St. Looking forward to probably doing the same thing next 4th of July. Staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Close enough to 6th Street.
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful and friendly, view of the lake was wonderful, good breakfast. Hotel is a bit older but clean and well maintained. Took stars off because our ac didn’t work…in the middle of summer. The room never got below 78 and by the time we noticed it was late and the kids were sleeping so we had to just deal with it.
- 5/5
Overall it was a great. It is a go to when I stay downtown Austin as it is very close to walking trails. Excellent service!!
- 5/5
Staff was excellent. Props to Maddox who handled a check in glitch perfectly and even comped me breakfast for the trouble. Employees like Maddox are a huge asset for the hotel. Will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Great location, very clean, you can walk or take a lime scooter basically anywhere downtown. Cucumber water in the lobby was very refreshing when getting out of that summer heat.

Clean hotel! Great stay!
- 2/5
Ice machine didn’t work on our floor, spider webs in corridor from parking garage to elevator, shower was extremely hard to turn on, and tv/stations sucked no access
- 5/5
Greattt
- 3/5
The parking garage was very short and not SUV friendly. The beds were also small for a 2 bedroom.
- 5/5
We loved the view of the lake!
- 4/5
I have used this hotel several times, is a fair balance between price, location and quality.
- 4/5
The facility is starting to get noticeably in need of an update. Still the view from our room was gorgeous and dining poolside was fun despite noise from the freeway below. We didn't pay for breakfast. The location is very central.
- 3/5
Online booking stated sofa couch available with room, only 1 king bed was in room
- 5/5
Great experience, walking distance to many downtown dining options. Very nice breakfast at the hotel. The round tower where my room was needed an update, but it was suitable and clean. I first stayed there in 1969, and I'm sure it has been refurbished many times since, but it needs it again. 😁
- 5/5
Very nice in front of the River
- 4/5
Walking in it smelled of cat pee but the rooms were not stinky. The staff was nice, beds were comfortable. The toilet wouldn't flush very well. The guy at the bar was really polite and helpful. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
I loved the view of the lake.
- 4/5
Bathroom was a little dated, and I wish you could have a bath with a decent level of water, but besides that it’s a practical bathroom. I enjoyed that the hotel has options of secure and non-secure onsite parking. Next to a highway wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, made it easier to access it. It’s right next to the river which is a short walk away and it was close to some pubs and eating spots.
- 4/5
We just needed a good location for a one night stay in Austin for a concert. The hotel is older, but the room was fine. The bathroom was dated. There is a restaurant on site but no breakfast included. There is a free parking garage which was nice
- 5/5
Great location. Right by lake and trails. Close enough to downtown. Free parking. Just a great stay overall.
- 3/5
The water pressure wasn’t good at all.
- 5/5
Great location with easy access to Lady Bird Lake and surrounding trails. Close enough to walk to Rainey Street.
- 1/5
Once checked in, there was no water at all. Couldn’t brush my teeth. Use the toilet nor take a shower because of that issue. The older gentleman with long hair, I believe his name was George, was not helpful at all. Thank God Rachel was there in the morning during checkout, she was amazing and understanding of the situation.

Nice reasonably priced overnight stay in a good location. Staff were very helpful!
- 4/5
The stay was great and the property was beautiful. The only thing was the water in the shower ran all night. It was more than a drip and it disturbed my sleep. Other than that, the stay was great and the view was stunning.
- 1/5
No hot water for two day! No explanation until I went to the front desk and the hotel representative was very unapologetic and unsympathetic. Will not return.
- 5/5
The front desk lady who works night time was great. She helped me with printing documents.
- 5/5
nice stay. good breakfast
- 5/5
The super friendly staff, local & airport shuttle service, and delicious restaurant meals set this property apart from the rest! BONUS - soaking in the rooftop pool is a great way to relax.

- 5/5
Great location, nicely updated facilities, beautiful view of the lake.

The pool was only open until 7, which is a little early for us. The patio area could have used some updating

I have traveled weekly to Austin for work. This hotel stands out better than most!
- 4/5
Great location on the lake. Right off of an exit, so getting used to driving into the parking lot was tricky at first. Could use some updating, but big, comfortable rooms.
- 5/5
Super easy to get in and out of - right on the highway access road. Room was spacious and no issues with sound. Parking garage was easy to get in and out of with plentiful parking. Overlooks the water so it wasn't a bad view.
- 5/5
We loved it!

Lovely clean room. Little noisy from traffic compared to more modern roofs with soundproof windows.
- 4/5
Average holiday inn with top notch location on town lake right off i35. Downtown skyline views and Town Lake and Roy Butler park trail access. The swimming pool overlooks the lake, great view. 15 minute walk to see the bat colony that come out to eat every night at dusk. The bat colony lives under a bridge along the park trail. Canoe & bike rentals very close. Close to downtown, bike trails have access to parks and some downtown drinking & dinning. Electric scooter rentals everywhere along streets. I brought my own bike and had a great hour and a half morning ride! Austin has a outdoor health & fitness life style that is incredible! After the ride I had the breakfast buffet witch was great after a long fitness ride. Had time to clean up and make my business event at the close by Palmer Event Center by noon.

Good place.. highly recommended
- 3/5
Everything was great except my room was along the hwy and the noise made it hard to sleep. Also the AC was so loud everytime it turned off amd on.
- 5/5
Free parking and close to downtown
- 2/5
The garage is very dirty. The walls in hall ways are dirty and paint is chiping away. Elevator has grafity ingraved on metal walls. The room has a weir smell and carpet was torn where it meets the bathroom floor. The worst part is there was no hot water and water was not draining in tub. When i told front desk they did nothing about it. So i took a cold shower. The pictures of website does not match the property.
- 5/5
It might be old but very well maintain and clean rooms. Centric location with easy access to nearby highways and the popular nightlife
- 5/5
Staff was excellent. Exceptional service.

Please do not stay at this hotel!! I had a cold shower because when i woke up there was no hot water. After my day I rushed back to take a hot shower and again no hot water. I called the front desk , but they tell you anything to get you off phone, they told me they would send an engenieer to my hotel room, but he never came. Please do not stay here if you like showing with hot water . The bar attendant was very nice. That was the only nice thing about the hotel. Defenitly run down.
- 4/5
The staff was really nice and the gym was nice

Super comfy bed! Staff was courteous and friendly.

Good hotel good location good people
- 4/5
This is an excellent location. Steps away from Town Lake and Raney Street. The free parking was a bonus. The hotel is a little dated, but clean & the location was fantastic for the price. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great Property
- 5/5
Great location. A walk to the lady bird lake . Close to all downtown activities. Clean hotel and good service. Available bike rental . Walking distance to a raft rental . Right off I-35 hwy
- 3/5
Cleanliness could have been better but hotel is in a great location!
- 4/5
This is our second stay and we continue to enjoy the hotel. We asked if there were any lake view rooms available and were told that would be an extra $40 a night. I don't remember that from our previous stay. Great breakfast, friendly folks....the only little bit of a downside is getting in and out of the place is a bit tricky until you get the lay of the land. We will be back. The price is fair....and good.
- 5/5
Maddox was a pleasure to work with on the staff and the rest of the staff were helpful also only complaint was the bed had a hole in the mattress where everyone was sleeping on one side so I had to sleep on the opposite side they should flip the mattress every so often and also the walls were quite dirty
