The hotel is undergoing renovations, which has led to some cleanliness issues and construction noise. Despite this, guests have praised the friendly staff and convenient location.

I was thinking that breakfast will be better but they just give apple bottle of water orange juice and one protein bar ..I was 😔 😟 🙁 sad because when we travel we want at least save money with the breakfast in the hotel and I hoped it was a good breakfast but 👎 👎 so poor .
- 4.5/5
The rooms were spacious and clean. It advertised FreeBreakfast but we just received a grab bag with a small juice, apple and a granola bar. The kids were expecting to have waffles, eggs and sausage.

Front desk was very nice and accommodating Gym was out of service, lobby was closed, no hot breakfast instead a breakfast in a bag, no top lock on my door, bath water was barely lukewarm

Property is under renovation so there is some stuff missing (ice makers only on 1st floor), couldn’t use the lobby, some washer dryers don’t work, and a bit dirtier than what you’d expect. Again, it’s being renovated so this is to be expected. I’m sure it’ll be awesome once they finish. So if you’re going to stay here during July, keep in mind it’s under renovation.

We were a little disappointed because the breakfast area was being remodeled, and there was only grab and go available, we typically enjoy the full breakfast when we stay there. The only challenge with our room was the door knob on the inside of the room came off the day we were leaving, but we contacted one of the repair persons who communicated they would contact the front desk immediately Wood stay there again
- 3.5/5
The hotel is under construction so I did not have access to all the amenities.
- 3/5
Room was clean and the staff were mostly helpful. There was no breakfast or exercise room. These two items would have been good to know before arrival. Not sure when they will be up and running but when they do...facility should be a nice, convenient place to be.
- 3.5/5
The inside of room was nice and clean. Libby was closed for remodeling so the breakfast option of grab and go was convenient The laundry room did not have a handle to open the door. Wires were just sticking out. Front desk did not have any quarters and the app used on the machines could not be used because there were offline. The hallways smelled so horrible. Like shrimp or similar

Hotel is still being built, so a lot of the amenities are not ready, decorators in the corridor, no entry way etc, but room was awesome, no neighbors because of the above!

During my stay breakfast (apple, breakfast bar, water, orange juice) was served in a brown paper bag which should have been told to customers prior to booking. Elevator was out and someone actually got stuck in it. There were no vending machines if you needed something to drink so you had to leave the facility and go to a store.

Under renovation but our stay was on weekend so no noisy work happening. Beds were extremely comfortable!
- 1.5/5
It was under construction and no pool or gym. And the front desk has no clue what room they put us in and while we were in bed having an intimate moment a make employee just opened our door without knocking and came in asking if anyone was in there. He came in, saw us, and left with no apology. I didn't even stay the second night I was so scared to stay there. Not good. When we told the front desk about it they basically said they had no clue we were in there.

Upon arrival, right as we walked into the main lobby, the breakfast/sitting area was completely roped off due to the property being under construction. 2 of my main reasons for booking this hotel was the photos of workout room + continental breakfast looked great…Neither were accessible. Super disappointing. The pool on property though was clean and we did enjoy that. It was late our first night and when we went to take showers, there was no hot water! The front desk staff were friendly and worked to try and find us another room, but after a few checks of different rooms, they too had no hot water. So they graciously offered us a discount for the inconvenience which was nice. Hot water was fixed by the next morning. The room was excellent, spacious and clean. Clean and comfortable bedding & towels as well. Overall it was a pleasant stay, I just wish there was a notification displayed on this hotel when searching that showed “under renovation/construction” as I would’ve most definitely chosen another option.

Issue #2 : When it came time to shower there was no hot water. During the same conversation about the toilet, the water was brought up. My husband was informed that, the water boiler had to be reset and the maintaince man would not be in till morning. Issue #3: I turned on the shower water hoping we had hot or even warm water and we had nothing but cold water AGAIN. Worst stay I have ever had at a hotel.
- 5/5
I have stayed here before and was totally pleased. This time the hotel has been renovated with extremely clean and modern rooms, lobby and breakfast area. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though this location is near my family, I would want to stay here again if it was not.
- 4/5
I booked a room for 2 nights. The location of the hotel is great as it is right by the freeway and is easily accessible. My flight was delayed so I checked in a little over midnight and that was not a problem. The gym and part of the lobby was under construction so we didnt get to enjoy those amenities but we didnt mind as we only slept there. The room was clean and it looks like it was recently painted. The manager Josh was funny and pleasant. Only recommendation is to have an exhaust or fan in the bathrooms.
- 3/5
small carton of milk handed to us in a paper bag. The coke machine was empty. The property is also not that easy to drive to if you aren’t familiar with the area.
- 3.5/5
They were going thru renovations, so some amenities weren't available. Not much of a problem though
- 2/5
The property was undergoing a renovation (so they said) so there was no complementary hot breakfast like Expedia website said, instead it was what they referred to as a grab and go, which was a small muffin, granola bar, and an apple. Coffee was available in the lobby only two of the five mornings. There was no TV service for four of the five days. I had to change rooms once because of things not working. The exercise room was closed the entire time. There were no vending machines. The doors to the rooms would not close properly and you could see into the room through the bottom left side of the door. The key cards didn’t work regularly and you’d have to try many times in order to get into your room. Half the electric sockets in the room were dead with no power, and the main desk lamp would flash on and off. The entire lobby was closed off the entire stay.
- 4/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Property is undergoing renovations and is not complete. Our room probably was not quite ready for occupancy. Grab-n-go bags for breakfast. It should be nice when the renovations are completed and the new owner takes over. It will no longer be a La Quinta.
- 4/5
Hotel was clean and staff was great. Lobby, breakfast area, and gym are all under construction and not usable. Breakfast was only a grab and go bag of pre-packaged items and no coffee. None of this was communicated on the booking site. If breakfast, coffee, or the gym are important to you, I would confirm if available before booking.

No hot breakfast but was provided a sack breakfast to go.
- 1/5
No hot breakfast - sack lunch with 1 apple, 1 water, 1 carton of juice & a granola bar. That’s all carbs and nothing else. Paid for a king sized bed and the room we got door wouldn’t lock, switched to a 2 queen beds for 1 night and then moved the next night into a king sized bed again. And our second room with the queen sized beds had wires coming out of the wall in the bathroom… no pool either as they’re doing renovations. Pretty disappointed ☹️
- 5/5
Clean room, staff was very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Bed is comfortable, shower hot, air conditioner working, and room was clean. Amenities lacking but only because the property is in the middle of renovation. Free breakfast was a grab bag offering only sweets and no coffee. Other than that my stay was great.
- 5/5
Front desk was very polite and helpful. Definitely be staying here again in the future!
- 4/5
The breakfast was ok but wish I would have known in advance that it was a bag breakfast instead of a hot breakfast.
- 4/5
Property is under construction so packed breakfast was available. There was a mix up in our already booked room and was given to another guest. We found out when we checked in arriving to room then finding luggage in room. All king beds were taken so we had to be placed in two bed room.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. The rooms were recently updated and renovated. The lobby was still under renovations when we were there, but looked to be almost complete. We had a great stay!

Nice value property
- 4/5
Interior construction is going on. No hot breakfests.
- 5/5
The remodeled room was clean, spacious, and quiet.
- 4/5
The property had no hot breakfast meal as advertised since the entire kitchen and diniing area was under renovation. Instead, they provided a paper bag with one apple, one small pastry and one honey peanut bar. Possiby the price for the room was a bit lower than if the property's renovation had been completed? All in all, it was a nice and satisfactory room and property. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The location including parking seemed very secure.
- 4/5
The hotel is undergoing a big renovation. Breakfast is a go bag (oj, granola bar, green apple, banana nut muffin, water). Our room was clean. The bed was very comfortable, must be a new mattress. Pillows were down filled and too flat for my liking. There was no kleenex in the room. The shower caulking needs to be redone. The space where the toilet sat seemed a bit narrow and the toilet seat was loose.
- 1/5
Hotels.com over sell the room whe i arrived to the hotel, mas reservation wasn’t exist, the recepcionist told me that i hadn’t room inhad to sleep in my car at the parking lot, awful service of hotels.com

Property was under construction so no real breakfast or access to really anything besides our room. I think there should be an alert when booking that a property is under construction and price accordingly

- 5/5
Breakfast was a bit disappointing. I understand the renovations, but there could of been more that was done for the grab and go breakfast. I am a pre-diabetic and the only thing I ate from it was the apple. Not much of a breakfast.
- 1/5
The hotel failed to mention online that it is under construction. The key cards were not working so we had to be escorted to our rooms. Upon check in to our room it was not made. One of the elevators was not working. Would have moved to another hotel however we were heading to a wedding and were only there an hour before heading out to our event. Seriously disappointed service and La Quinta to say the least. Upon checkout we had paid for a breakfast but were offered muffin fruit and warm coffee in a bag.
- 2/5
Website should state hotel is being renovated. Our room was a suite and still under construction (TV not installed in sitting area, bathroom door would not close, square hole in Sheetrock in bathroom, etc) also there was no breakfast. When we checked out, I asked for a receipt and the desk clerk said she couldn’t give me one because I booked room through third party (Expedia). I had to ask how much was being charged to my credit card!!
- 2/5
Under construction.
- 1/5
The worst customer service staff including the manager who banged at my door after the night shift said I can have a late check out. I arrived at 250p and the gal, Emile, said I had to wait 10 mins before I could check in. This hotel is under construction and shouldn’t even be open said from the bad customer serve. The Door handle to my door was flopping, basically not working correctly. I arrived at midnight back to hotel and the doors on the side of building were completely wide opened for anyone to come in! never have I been to a hotel with all around issues including that the tv wouldn’t work, like ot had no internet or something. I should have completely paid the extra 20 to stay at the holiday inn!
- 2/5
I wish there was a warning that the hotel is a hot mess with the renovations. It was super dirty the minute you walk in the door. There was no breakfast buffet. They had a grab bag for you to pickup. What was in the bag was a joke!
- 3/5
Bedding was dirty, no breakfast - sack breakfast (apple, oj, bottled water, granola bar, & packaged muffin). No access to pool and the front due to renovation.
- 1/5
The hotel didn’t tell us they’re renovating, one day we didn’t have water, another day there was no hot water for the shower, and the front desk won’t pick up our calls. It was terrible. It ruined our vacation.
- 3/5
I had reserved a handicap accessible room. There was no accessible room available. The person manning the desk did work to at least get me a room on the first floor, but the shower situation was not user friendly for a person with mobility issues. Very disappointing.
- 3/5
Would have been nice to know in advance that this hotel was being remodeled. Free breakfast was kind of a joke, strong paint smell in common areas, and no hot water in my shower on 2nd night. Will be nice when done but they may consider closing until complete.
- 1/5
Shower door and tv broken - they said that’s the way some rooms are.
- 1/5
The room was fine. They were doing construction work, which made it messy. The room lock was broken, with the handle hanging down. Four times we had to get the card rescanned. The front desk was not helpful at all. Finally I got another room. They made it stressful.
- 5/5
Clean room. Under construction.
- 3/5
Was not warned there was construction going on. Also booked this room so that my grandgirl could have breakfast before her basketball tournament and there was no breakfast. The “bag breakfast” was not even ready when we left.
- 5/5
Todo perfecto!!
- 1/5
They did not have a room for me.They were overbooked
- 3/5
There was no hot breakfast or good breakfast, and the gym was closed!
- 1/5
Horrible hotel. It is not as good as it looks in the photos. Everything under renovation including front lobby, gym, etc. They said it’s taken years and still not done. Stains on carpet, one day we had to go to a wedding and right when we were trying the water got shut off to the whole building for 2 hours with no warning. Light in the room was flickering the whole time like a strobe light. Breakfast was just a packaged muffin. Fire alarm went off 2 times within our 4 days there throughout the whole building and nobody would shut it off. Location sucks, it’s right by the freeway so it’s loud but nothing within walking distance. Overall horrible hotel.
- 2/5
not allowing our room to stay cold. Very disappointed that we were not informed of these conditions when booking. Not fair to pay good money for this place. Corporate should have closed down until everything was completed.
- 1/5
There was no notice that this hotel was under renovations when we made our reservation. Otherwise, we would have booked elsewhere. Only one elevator was functional and very slow due to guests, staff and construction workers using it. In our room we had a trickle of water out of the faucet and no water in the shower. We were told that it would be a short fix but the pressure was never enough to be able to shower. There was no hot breakfast due to the kitchen being closed(one reason we chose the hotel) but a "grab bag" would available the next morning with snacks. When we checked out and asked for one, we were told they were out. There was no apologies for the conditions. This is not typical of La Quinta properties but it does make me question ever staying at another.
- 2/5
This hotel was under construction, which I did not know when I made the reservation. The front desk and entry were closed. Instead tables and computers were set up in a hallway beside a side door. It was necessary to use a service elevator, which was understandably often busy. There was no breakfast. The room key had to be rekeyed daily. But on the up side, the room itself was spacious, clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. It is probably reasonable to expect that these problems will not be present in the future, but they were inconvenient for me during this stay.
- 1/5
30 min para el check ok y no salía agua fría
- 2/5
The property was in renovation and redecoration and keys weren’t working and the smell of paint was heavy. Our room was aired out so we were able to stay. A staff member opened the door to our room. We didn’t use any of the facilities.
- 3/5
We were not informed that they are undergoing a renovation. I booked this hotel based on the ameneties. There was no breakfast serving area, closed due to renovation. No main check-in. closed. Had to check in using a side door. No gym. No business area for computer work. Our room didn't even have a bathtub. I was told due to renovation. A man came in asking for a room and was told that ther wasnt any, it was reservation only. he stated he called the corporate office and they said the hotel had plenty of rooms. she apologized and stated that corp. had no idea that they were renovating. I felt cheated and lied to, all in the name of greed. I paid full price for a breakfast buffet to save money. Had to drive several miles just to get breakfast. The rooms were clean and in good condition. The staff like talking on the phones, however semi-quietly trying to not draw unwanted attention. The room was a five. very clean. good housekeeping. The renovation and everything else closed was a disaster. If you book a room here here, call the hotel directly to find out if they are still renovating.
- 1/5
En construcción no había desayuno todo sucio y desorganizado
- 2/5
No breakfast
- 2/5
Do not stay here while massive construction is being done! The whole place smells like paint, the “front desk” was in the hallway, there was no breakfast only coffee and water. We stayed in a renovated room so it was upgraded but the paint smell gave me a headache and the rest of the hotel was an accident waiting to happen.
- 5/5
The staff are very welcoming.
- 3/5
Hotel under renovation, no breakfast and no hot water, but was clean.
- 1/5
Evidently this hotel has been under repairs for years. There were no key cards. There was only one elevator. Any time we needed to get in our room we had to wait for a hotel staff to let us into the room. Breakfast was supposed to be included but the breakfast area was close. They provided a bag of item, but nothing like the typical breakfast. The smell of paint was very strong! There should have been transparency with what to expect and the cost should be reduced if not completely compensated!
- 1/5
Hotel under renovation. Check-in desk was in a hallway accessed by a side door from the parking lot. Hotel clerk informed me that key system was completely down and all guests would have to be let in their rooms each time. Clerk said he would let us in room on 4th floor shortly as he was also helping another guest. The clerk was running all over the hotel letting guests in rooms, trying to check guests in. Our room door was already open when we arrived at our room. Then the room air conditioner did not work. Went back down to the desk and said we were leaving and was informed they couldn’t refund my money, I would have to go through Hotels.com/Expedia. I went to the hotels.com website to try to cancel and was told that I couldn’t cancel. Nor could I find a telephone number on the website. Seems to me since key system was down that their guests were not secure in their rooms especially since my room opened without a key. So how could the hotel rent rooms to guests that were not secure? Not good.
- 1/5
was a mess the whole stay. Keys would not work and we couldnt get in our rooms without a mess. Was told i would get a refund for not staying Friday night but it has yet to happen. should have been told about the construction mess so i would have had a choice to go elsewhere but they didnt.
- 1/5
No running water. We had to go to the Target to go to the bathroom. The front desk didn't seem to care.
- 1/5
No kitchen was available so no hot breakfast. They had a paper bag with an apple, a smashed muffin, a granola bar and a plastic water bottle. We stayed four nights and on night 2, every time we left the room, our card keys would not work, so we had to get them re-programmed. Then on day 3 of our stay, the card key system was inoperable completely and we needed to wait for a staff member could let us into our room. We felt bad for the front desk clerk who would need to leave the front desk to let us in our room. On day 5 when we checked out, the card key and the system were still not working. And to make things worse, the elevators stopped working and we needed to climb four flights of stairs to get to our room. And so did the front desk clerk to let us into our room. I'm sure they had to do this for every single guest that needed to get into their room. Most disappointing was that there were no managerial employees available to answer questions or perhaps discuss some type of credit or compensation or refund for all of the inconveniences we experienced. I strongly believe that there should be some type of disclaimer warning that this hotel is under construction. Very sketchy way to conduct business. NOT UP TO LA QUINTA STANDARDS.
- 2/5
Hotel is under renovations and I was not informed ahead of time. Check in detour was marked well. No key because card reader broken. Had to be escorted to my room. No continental brwakfast, no workout room. Very disappointed that there was no compensation for this. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Ispecifically stayed here for the breakfast and workout room.
- 4/5
No breakfast since they were working on the main lobby. They did offer breakfast bags with a random assortment of snacks and an orange juice. The staff was really nice and helpful.
- 2/5
Hotel was under renovations, that was not communicated previously. They had no breakfast which was included. The entire property smelled like paint and once in the room there was no toilet paper, tried calling the front desk but the phones didnt work. A lot of guests were unpleased and the staff was not very helpful
- 2/5
ONE NOTE-I AM AN ARCHITECT AND THE ROOM WE WERE IN, WHILE NICE, STILL HAD UNFINISHED COMPONENTS. FOR EXAMPLE, TOILET WAS NOT AFFIXED TO THE FLOOR (MISSING SCREWS) AND THERE WAS CUT DRYWALL WHERE I ASSUME AN ACCESS PANEL IS TO BE INSTALLED. MINOR PAINT ISSUES (IE PAINT ON WALLCOVERING) BUT OVERALL NICE.
- 2/5
Property was being remodeled so there was no lobby, no front desk phone, no hot breakfast, and understaffed. Streaming services did not work on TV. We were reimbursed 50% of our room fee but I have not seen it yet. Would not recommend this hotel because management doesn’t seem to have it together.
- 1/5
I recently stayed at the La Quinta Austin South and cannot recommend it. First, there is major, unannounced construction happening on site. The loud drilling made it hard to get work done in the room, and the property smells strongly of paint thinner. Second, they still advertise a hot breakfast, but instead hand out a grab bag with a granola bar and a muffin. Finally, I was explicitly told at check-in that I could check out at noon. On my final morning, they claimed 11:30 AM was the absolute latest, and then tried to charge a $55 fee to stay until 1:00 PM. I specifically needed a late checkout because I had my dog and couldn't access my home until the afternoon. Originally I had considered buying an additional night so I could stay until the afternoon but I was so frustrated by the end that I will not give another $ to this hotel chain. Management needs to be transparent about ongoing renovations and honor the amenities they advertise.
- 1/5
Awful, dirty. Requested a refund!
- 1/5
If the property is under renovation, why do you let people book??? Horrible condition with paint smell, dirty bathrooms, lobby is full of dirt, and bagels felt like they were 100 years old. Please close this lication
- 4/5
Hotel was being renovated and there were old matresses in the wall way. There was a strong odor of paint and other chemicals. A notice prior to booking that the hotel was being remodled would have been appreciated.
- 3/5
Entire hotel was under construction an everything smelled like fresh paint, even our room. Is was NOT pleasant. Fitness center closed. I would not have booked this hotel had I known these conditions. However, the staff was friendly and our room was clean. Thin walls.

Absolutely appalling experience. Under construction and a complete mess. Elevator broken and we were put on the 4th floor with 150 lbs of luggage. Mattresses are lining the hallways. Charged way too much for such poor conditions

Hotel is run down and going through a remodel. They have 20 construction workers staying there who work on the property. Strong chemical smells. They are very loud even when not working, they have TVs and music blaring in there room. When I approached management they informed me nothing could be done. I reached out to Wyndham Corporate and they said there hands were tied since I booked through a 3rd party. Essentially admitting and acknowledging the state of hotel and my experience. Instead of trying to resolve the matter they shifted the responsibility onto Expedia. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
- 2/5
Everything is a mess with their renovations going on. I suggest you wait to late Fall of 2026 before booking a room here.
- 4/5
Courteous staff, clean room. Comfortable bed. Bathroom door couldn’t be shut.
