However, there are consistent complaints about the parking situation, including high fees, poor maintenance of the garage, and safety concerns. Cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms are also frequently mentioned issues.

Great staff, included happy hour and very central to all main sites in Austin

Never got $300 deposit back even though they said they would refund it. Lots of wear and tear inside. Amenities are very outdated. The breakfast buffet is great though.

The location is perfect- right on south congress avenue. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they have an indoor pool which was perfect in the heat! The free breakfast was great- made to order omelets, waffles, sausage, bacon, biscuits, cereal, bagels, yogurt, etc. they also had a coffee and soda station that was really nice. They have a pretty big fitness center, and a spacious bar area. Bad stuff- All the elevators in the parking garage were broken, and we had to park on the 3rd floor (1st and 2nd floor were reserved for other establishments) and take the stairs every time we wanted the leave the hotel. Our room was in need of repairs and upgrades- the faucet was broken, there was a hole in the bathroom ceiling, the bathtub took a while to drain, the toilet was always running, and the counter/ mini fridge area was eroded and needs to be replaced.

Loved our stay! Great location.

Well worth it! The location was great. We got to see bats just to walk away and was able to enjoy South Congress shops all on foot. The free breakfast was amazing and had good options. I really enjoyed the freshly prepared omelettes I felt super fancy with drinking fresh cucumber water every time I got off the elevator the room was great. I wish the showerhead was a little bit higher for my taller husband. It’s a pet friendly hotel although we did not bring ours. I think if we needed to this would be a good option as well. The two drink per adult happy house every day was an amazing perk. We come to Austin a lot. I wanted to try something different and I think this might have been what we were looking for all along.
- 5/5
The parking garage was not working but they comped our stay so that was great. Food was really good and it's in a great spot to e the bats

Rooms clean, awesome breakfast, especially staff at omelette station. Downside is the parking garage, definitely affected overall rate. Was told that elevators not working as of recently but I stayed at this location approx 3 years ago and had same issue! The stairway is dark and scary, had two children with me. Prioritize repairing at least one of the elevators, in meantime al least add good lighting to stairway.

Parking garage is not attached and there is only 1 handicap. The food bar was really good as the standard Embassy experience. Hot food. However, the omelet line had only one person so there was a long line to wait.

Hotels.com only said "parking available". The hotel actually charges $55 per night to park in the garage that is not connected to the hotel, so you had to walk back to the hotel. Not a big selection of TV channels and had several channels showing the same shows. The breakfast was awesome! Omlet stations with a huge spread of food.
- 5/5
Convenient onsite parking was a definite plus, although it came at a cost of $350 for our four-day stay. The complimentary continental breakfast was made even more enjoyable by the friendly and attentive staff, whose hospitality elevated an already pleasant experience. The evening cocktail hour was, as always, a refreshing way to unwind after a day of exploring Austin. Overall, I highly recommend staying at Embassy Suites when visiting Austin. Between the exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and thoughtful amenities, I would absolutely book here again given the opportunity.

Omelette chef, and separate breakfast area! Get down there early, it closes right on time and you will miss a great breakfast.

First room smelled very stale and musty; but front desk staff promptly moved us to another room that was much fresher. Still need the furniture to get a proper scrubbing or replacement altogether.

But the staff was extremely professional and even went ahead and called Hotels.com for me to sort everything out. Very comfortable stay. It was close to everything.

Our stay was very nice. Stuff is nice and friendly, breakfast was great and restock till the last minute, free drinks and snacks at the bar 5:30-7 was so good. All our requests were answered promptly.

The parking situation was odd ($55 per night for self park). We were told to leave our car out front and take our luggage to the room before parking. This was good because it was too far to schlep them from a block away. They really need valet or someone directing traffic because once you get in line you’re stuck. The Line hotel across Congress St bridge has valet parking for $56 per night. I asked if they did anything for birthdays and the front desk woman said “well what do you want?” So I said I was just asking, if not it’s fine. She asked if we wanted a higher floor I said ok, but I’d prefer to just have a lake or city view (I had booked a King suite but it didn’t say what the view was online). We ended up with a lovely view of the parking garage from the 7th floor. Overall the stay wasn’t bad because we weren’t there much. It was centrally located, low price but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Our room was on the 8th floor and it was terrible!!! I’ve stayed at Embassy before and it was never this bad. The room smelled awful. It was a pungent mildew/mold smell that you could not get rid of. Then there were no blankets for the sofa bed. Pool was tiny and overly crowded
- 3/5
Rooms are beat up and in need of a remodel.

The room we had was very clean and we had housekeeping go in daily to replenish towels and make the beds. Staff was very nice. I’d stay again

We loved our stay here. Upon arrival, staff was very friendly and welcoming. Jonathan was the one who helped us at the from desk. He was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Our room was nice and spacious. The bed was also very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

A nice suite for the family for a martial arts tournament.

Location, great breakfast with lots of protein options, plenty of food options and quantity to meet the demand of guests.. Omelet bar was a bonus Would have been nice to have a little later happy hour, drinking water with ice out a little later or 24hrs, not to have been sent to a sales pitch right after check in.

We stayed one night here in July. We were pleasantly impressed with this hotel. Parking was easy. Check in was easy and they checked us in early without any issues. There is a happy hour during the early evening where they offer two adult beverages per adult and all other nonalcoholic-alcoholic drinks are free, as well as some snacks. The included breakfast buffet was the best included breakfast buffet I’ve seen. The eggs tasted like real eggs (as opposed to the runny tofu-filled eggs that are often found at buffets). The hotel was very close to congress bridge where the bats emerge at night (side note….the bats were hugely underwhelming and not worth the time waiting around for it to happen…I wish we had skipped that). We would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

It was a beautiful, clean hotel, and the breakfast was great. The layout and design of the hotel was awesome.

The hospitality was above and beyond. The buffet breakfast was top notch. The exercise room had a bit of everything. We would stay here again in a heart beat!!!

I parked my car in their garage. They charge $55 a day. On the second day I went to my car and it had been broken into. Nothing they can/will do. Guys. $55/day. So no. Not a great experience. We pay for comfort and convenience when staying at hotels. I got neither of those things.

the staff was super friendly the breakfast is amazing
- 4/5
Breakfast and drinks for happy hour were great. The only thing that was difficult was the parking. It’s separate from the hotel so it was a bit difficult to go to and from it. If you have lots of bags and luggage, it would be best to unload before you park.
- 3/5
One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast each morning, which offered a nice variety of options and was a great way to start the day. However, the hotel is definitely showing its age and is in need of significant updates. The guest rooms feel dated, and the furnishings and overall appearance could benefit from renovation. Another downside was the parking fee, which we felt was excessively high and added a substantial extra cost to our stay. Despite these issues, we enjoyed our time in Austin and had a wonderful family vacation. With room renovations and more reasonable parking rates, this hotel would be a much stronger value.

We left after the first night and didn’t care about not getting a refund. The restaurant closed at 830 on a Friday. The room was musty.

Wonderful time, centrally located staff was amazing

Beautiful room on 9th floor with view of Lake and downtown. Great staff. Elevators slow and Hotel could use a remodel a bit dated. But great price and staff. And close to Sixth Avenue
- 5/5
The room was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast excellent and the staff very helpful. We liked that lite snacks and drinks were included at no cost during the evenings.

Not great, staff was kind.

The front desk receptionist Chante has excellent interpersonal communication skills. Also, front desk manager, Tony, had perfect people and managerial skills. Tony resolved a difficult issue with no problem. I plan to visit this facility in the future.

Its not so much the hotel. We booked the embassy suites and when we fot there, we're told they overbooked and we did t have rooms! Shunted to Hilton, in a less than desirable neighborhood. Hilton was ok, but no where near we booked. 30 minaway.
- 1/5
Property was Not very well taken care of house keeping just let them self’s in to deliver towels with out knocking
- 3/5
The staff was not the friendliest or welcoming at front desk, there was some Maintenance or other thing being done so the entire breakfast, table & chair area was closed off. We did not eat breakfast on site either day. There was only 2 bags of hot tea, both earl gray , and staff said they had no more tea on the premises. Our room smelled musty and damp and I had to use our body spray to make it pleasant. For the price of stay for 2 nights I expected better.
- 4/5
Great breakfast and bar. Room was very clean but def a bit dated. Great location to enjoy Austin!
- 3/5
The ideas of amenities were there, but were not a reality. The room smelled of mildew, the ceiling above the shower showed signs of water damage, the wet bar sink did not work and the microwave had been burned out. The breakfast was limited due to a pipe burst and flooding( not their fault). There was a lot left to be desired.
- 4/5
Pleasant staff at front desk and bar. Hotel is a little older but comfortable in a good location.
- 2/5
First of $55 / night for parking garage across the street is whack! I had issues with both elevators so it's a hassle dragging bags around. Parking at front lobby is a hassle, not enough space to unload or load up there. Check in was easy but 2/3 elevators were also out inside the hotel. Had to wait long periods until the single elevator had space to get in.. as soon as I walked into room yes it was clean but it stank. Also had issues exiting and entering the parking garage because the key fob wasn't working so I had to call and wait until front desk was available. I usually aim for embassy suites when I go out of town but honestly this has been one of my worst experiences yet with embassy suites. I didn't even bother going into the pool, as soon as you walk in the chlorine scent hits you in the face. The staff overall were helpful and the location was good but it really was a hassle just trying to adapt to whatever was not working.
- 3/5
The parking garage was my only complaint. The scan ticket system was not working, and I couldn't get out for 2 straight days. I had to back up the steep hill to then run back inside to validate the parking (that wasn't done when I checked in), and still didn't work. The lighting around the pay booth was dark, many interfaces. This lighting needs to be much brighter. I totally missed the call button to let someone know I was having issues getting out, thus adding to the panic to get out with others waiting behind me. The garage overall just didn't seem clean and well lit which gave me a creepy vibe about the property.
- 5/5
Hotel close to moody center. Has great lobby and courtyard bar area. Ambience is open and plenty of space. Breakfast is perfect and chef available is a plus.

Garage elevators not working
- 5/5
Very pleased with the room and space of it. Loved that there was a fridge and microwave. Appreciated the happy hour coupon and snacks. Was there a hot tub??? Breakfast was amazing and the food was abundant! Only complaint was our iron and board needs replacing, it leaked water all over my clothes :(. Stay at this hotel!!
- 5/5
Yes all fresh and great selections.
- 5/5
Awesome place, walking distance to concert venue! Breakfast was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great Stay
- 4/5
Baffles me that you can pay so much for a hotel though and have to pay $50 for parking. Considering every Texan drives everywhere, they must be raking it in with parking fees. As a Brit, I can honestly say I’ve never paid for parking as an overnight guest at a hotel
- 2/5
Soda machine not working
- 5/5
It was very nice. Great location. Breakfast could have bit better. Omelette station had long line ups. Sitting was not managed properly. Overall it was a good stay.
- 4/5
Out of all the places we could choose from, we stayed here for the cook to order breakfast and breakfast options. Especially last minute and it being Easter weekend. The check in staff were super friendly but it took awhile at night to get bedding for the sofa. We almost got stuck in the garage elevator. No sign on the parking garage level only on ground level. And it was $55 for parking! But the location was perfect. Right next to the bridge to see the bats or walk along the lake. Walking distance to restaurants and bars.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel. Fantastic location. Brilliant happy hour and breakfast.
- 5/5
Great staff and breakfast
- 2/5
there was no enough pillow sheet , we have asked they could not manage to bring in 24 hours. parking was free as per we have been advised by reception , i guess they also charge usd 55 for each day. i never stay in this hotel and i dont recommend anybody.

Walking distance to South Congress Ave. attractions and downtown. Wonderful breakfast included with our stay. Will be happy to stay again, next time we visit Austin.

I booked a double queen 4 months in advance, when I checked in was told they didn’t have any doubles left and was given a single king. Very unprofessional, staff was rude about it, do not recommend.
- 4/5
Room was a bit shabby (in need of paint and a good grout cleaning in shower) and the bar sink didn't work. Breakfast was great (especially made to order omelettes), all staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. We were not given our "Hilton Honors Silver" status gift or the wifi info at our late night check in, so had to ask for those. We love the water stations and coffee available all hours. Overall it was a good enough stay.
- 5/5

hotel was immaculate. my only complaint was having to pay for parking. I think if your a paying guest there shouldnt be a high rate for parking.

The room had bugs, it was not cleaned, the air conditioner was leaking and had the carpet wet. The couch was dirty and stained, the shower head was broke. The rooms were very very dirty.
- 4/5
Everything was very good.
- 5/5
the breakfast and happy hour made our stay so much easier and the front desk were extremely accommodating
- 2/5
Service at bar and ripple restaurant terrible I waited 45 minutes for a salad and no one helped had yo go to the back yo find some d and it was the middle if the day. Not enough housekeeping staff. Front desk woman with dark hair incredibly slow.

Our neighbor stayed up talking and partying until 7 AM the first night. They did not occupy the room our second night and it was pretty quiet most of the night.

Great location, free drinks at happy hour in the lobby

The room was ok there was a water leak by the T.V in the front room by the desk that soaked my laptop bag but no damage
