Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its location and spacious rooms, but there are numerous complaints about ongoing construction, limited amenities, and high parking fees. Many guests also express frustration with poor communication and service from the staff.

Nic hotel close to everything

Call me picky, but I wouldn’t stay here again. It’s pretty tired and old. Parking garage is infuriating, too.

So far so good

Staff were nice, kids had free breakfast

In the city Had to pay $49 dollars to park at the hotel per day.

Hotel and staff was excellent.

There were two issues with the room, one of which I appreciate that the hotel can do nothing about, which was the loud A/C unit from the adjacent building, the other however was the filthy balcony, which had cigarette butts all over the floor and lots of pigeon droppings which looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a long time.

Very good
- 5/5
Location and comfort. Nothing really! There was trash in the bathroom trash can and a wash cloth on the sink as if someone had wiped their hands on it but other than that the room was nice.

Very welcoming staff, great service and patience, great communication and cleaning. We were needing 2 more chairs at the moment but didn’t get a response afterwards, not much of an issue but surely a inconvenience

Great location with superb facilities. A warm welcome with fresh warm cookies and clean and comfortable, spacious room! Everything we needed!!

From check-in to checkout, the experience was incredible. Pierre was extremely welcoming. His customer service is top tier. Our room was very clean. The extra linens that were left in the closet came in handy as we used the sofa bed. Breakfast was really good. The gentleman that assisted us was very friendly and courteous. This was our first time stay at DoubleTree Suites, but definitely not our last. The cookies are out of this world. Pierre was gracious enough to give me extra for my kids because they loved them so much. We really enjoyed everything about our stay. If I had to nitpick, I would say the odor in the parking garage.

The hotel staff
- 0.5/5
Staff at the reception tried to be polite and positive Breakfast - was more than modest, water in the room was smelling like in a swamp, bathroom equipment was old and cracked… The hotel has been in need of renovation for a long time.
- 2/5
Breakfast ticket required otherwise they will give you a bill
- 3/5
My stay at this hotel was very nice. The room was comfortable and clean, it was also very spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful to me, the only downside was parking. There were not very many parking spots available and the ones that were available are super tight, we would take 10 minutes driving around the parking garage to find a spot. Besides the parking my stay was great.

Great room. Great staff, very helpful with parking and fire alarm test during our stay. Breakfast was good. One note about parking - The parking garage on the property has very small entrances and exits. And has sharp turns and low ceilings. So larger cars and truck will need to park elsewhere. There are oversized parking spots out front but the are first come first/ first serve with other guests. The next option is a parking garage across the street, about a half a block away.

The room was clean and inviting. But the air conditioning took forever to cool down the whole suite. The toilet wasn't that stable and shower pressure was pretty low. Overall I enjoyed my stay but a few things could've been better.

However, I want to highlight the excellent service from Ms. Loraine at the reception desk. She was outstanding—professional, friendly, and consistently helpful throughout my stay. Her customer service was the best part of the experience. Since the hotel doesn’t provide even a simple cup of coffee, I ended up going to Starbucks just one block away, and you can also buy water at the 7/11 gas station nearby. The best thing about the property is its location, only one block from the Capitol, which makes it convenient for walking around the area. Overall, great service from Ms. Loraine and a convenient location, but the hotel does not offer the value you would expect for the price.
- 5/5
Very comfy and spacious. Thank you for the bottled water and cookie! Coming into hotel from parking…looked for stairs but had to wait on elevator
- 5/5
Perfect location to be close too the city.
- 5/5
Clean room and great customer service and i love the free cookies
- 3/5
We had flight delays and breakfast was done by the time we woke up.
- 5/5
Great lo action bear the capitol.
- 3/5
This hotel desperately needs updating. The suites are generously sized, but the bathrooms are the size of a postage stamp. The breakfast buffet was overpriced and barely edible. And what decent hotel doesn’t have valet parking?
- 1/5
The pool was green and looked like it hadn’t been clean in a few weeks.

.
- 5/5
The hotel was nice but the staff was exceptional. Be advised that you will need to pay for overnight parking in the parking garage. Also, searching for the ice machine is a decent side quest.
- 2/5
The parking is an absolute joke. Do not show up with an oversized vehicle they are not equipped and you will probably have to park somewhere that is not consistent with the values you would expect from Hilton!! I give it 2 thumbs down!!
- 3/5
Only 1 of the 2 main elevators was operational, for a hotel seeing as much traffic flow in such a bustling downtown area I was very surprised and disappointed in the wait times.
- 3/5
I said it at this property. Many times, and the elevator always seems to be an issue. Also, Steer clear of the parking garage if you can help it.
- 5/5
beds were comfy great location
- 5/5
Helpful staff able to use discretion in a helpful way to facilitate our parking and late arrival. Location is great and rooms are perfect t for family travel.
- 4/5
The room was spotless and we loved the separate bedroom from the living room area. The kitchen was well stocked. The bed was comfy and we had plenty of towels.
- 3/5
The room was clean and room service came every day that we needed it. The wall paper in the bathroom could use some repairing as well as the mold in the shower could be cleaned better. Only one usb B and C plug in the room which should be both sides of the bed. I’ve stayed a numerous Hiltons and don’t see why that was missing. Also simple amenities like some paper towel or sufficient supplies in the kitchen were not present, not a complimentary dish soap or sponge. The bathrooms in Hiltons were have stayed at before have had other complimentary stuff as well but overall it was a 3 stars for the overall room with amenities.
- 5/5
Doubletree never fails with the cookies at check-in, a hit with our family. We enjoyed a suite for more room. It had a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and stove. This was a great location within walking distance to the Capital and 6th street.
- 5/5
They charge for breakfast. I was not told that initially. Other than that, everything was fine.
- 5/5
Excellent place that meets all expectations.
- 5/5
We loved how large our room was the kitchen and balcony where a blessing and the staff could not have been any nicer
- 2/5
PARKING GARAGE IS HORRIBLE!!! IF YOU DRIVE ANYTHING BIGGER THAN A MINI COUPE FORGET MAKING THE CORNERS IN THIS GARAGE. IT WAS RIDICULOUS..
- 5/5
Great customer service.
- 1/5
There was also a city wide shelter in place due to random drive by shootings in the city the morning of check out, but no staff member said a word. Completely unsatisfactory!
- 5/5
We did not have any
- 5/5
Walking distance of things we wanted to do
- 5/5
Easy check in, clean room, nice size suites
- 3/5
Rooms not that clean. Truly feel cleaning staff presents with lazy cleaning. Stains in toilet, showers with hairs that aren’t mine, and we had 2 separate rooms due to cleaning issues.
- 5/5
Room was nice and easy check in.
- 5/5
The outdoor space and the penthouse Terrace was fabulous! Ours faced west and you got to see a beautiful sunset
- 5/5
Great place staff was nice, rooms clean and great views. Only negative is if you have large suv and get a large vehicle pass smaller cars still park in the spot and they don’t enforce them to move so have to either pay for parking close by or park in the 15 min wait parking
- 5/5
Great property in the perfect location. Corey at the front desk was great. Seamless check-in, attention to detail and greeted us with a smile every time we passed by. Experiences make stays and he made sure the family had a great stay.
- 5/5
Front desk very friendly! Made my day!
- 5/5
Loved all the amenities and spacious room
- 5/5
Clean, modern, and located close enough the stadium and 6th St. to walk but far enough away to avoid the noise.
- 5/5
Great customer service. No on site valet and limited parking for oversized vehicles. Good room in a great location to UT
- 5/5
The Double Tree Suites worked well for our family trip to Austin, TX. The two bedroom suite was good for our family of 6 visiting Austin.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff, rooms nice and clean
- 5/5
Great hotel, staff could use some help!
- 5/5
Was a very clean hotel, nice rooms, staff was great!
- 5/5
Safe parking very convenient hotel is in a very central area in Austin close to UT
- 5/5
Excellent customer service
- 5/5
Everything was great. Super nice staff. Comfy beds.
- 3/5
The parking was terrible never book this hotel during a big event. You will never find a parking in their parking garage. You will have park in the garge across the street. Inconvenient for sure.
- 5/5
Clean room! Amazing view of Capital
- 3/5
Front desk was the best part of our stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- 3/5
Staff was amazing. But room was not what I expected for the price, phone didn’t work, tv glitchy (also not a smart tv, no casting or apps). Shower was nasty
- 3/5
Excellent location, seem
- 4/5
The restrooms were not updated no fan in the restroom, the bed was uncomfortable the tv was outdated. The lock on the balcony door was broken.
- 3/5
It was overall decent but here are some downsides: The dryer was broken and the front desk failed to provide me detergent pods so I wasn’t able to do my laundry at all. The pool water was dirty, turbid and warm, there wasn’t enough shade. I wasn’t able to use the pool at all. The bar doesn’t have any snacks to complement their nice cocktails and I was told to order popcorn instead!?!? Like you can keep some trail mix for your guests. The faucet in the bathroom is so small that one can’t wash their hands without touching the sink. Pillows were so soft, I am used to harder pillows and there was no alternative. There was no welcome drink, no water in the fridge but two little lukewarm bottles on the table which would cost 3$ each. These are not compatible with the price level imo.
- 4/5
Gym needs to be larger and have more weight/resistance options.
- 5/5
The Property was good, Parking is a little bit small for big vehicles. Other than that all was escellent.

- 5/5
Extremely pleasant staff, clean hotel.
- 3/5
Shower and microwave for broken and breakfast was $24 a person when it had mentioned prior that it was free.
- 5/5
Easy in easy out
- 1/5
Noisy trash loading dock next to my room, $49 a night to park at their horrible garage.
- 4/5
Nice room for the price except parking is expensive. Most of the staff was nice and helpful.
- 5/5
Stay was amazing like always. Friendly staff, room was clean, amenties are great.
- 1/5
Extremely rude front desk. Waited for 20 min to be seen. I had called hours before to explain I have a wedding at 4pm and check it was at 4pm. Lady on phone said no problem come at 3pm. When I got here at 3 the man at front desk tried to charge me $50 for an early check in. I walked out
- 3/5
Balcony view was poor. Parking expensive! Room had limited kitchen utensils.
- 5/5
The staff needs to pay more attention to details on cleaning the bathroom especially and bedding there was hair everywhere!
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
grear
- 4/5
Didn't see much of the staff, though the bartender went out of her way for me.
- 1/5
Service at front was poor, went downstairs for coffee no body came to help. It was terrible, I’ve been to different hotels but this was the worst, except for the old and great man that helped us in the breakfast(4 stars hotel, breakfast was poor and bad)
- 5/5
Clean room, quiet, courteous staff
- 3/5
Didn’t get the room I requested.
- 5/5
Excellent staff, comfortable and clean rooms with a great location. Will stay again and would 100% recommend to anyone.
- 5/5
Great stay. Nice and accommodating. They brought me a fan and served warm cookies upon check-in.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, great location and the staff was wonder. Isabella, at the reception desk was so great, she recommended dime very cool places for live, local music. Dan, the waiter made my day with his excellent service and friendly manner. I’d highly recommend this hotel when in Austin.
- 5/5
Great location and comfortable beds
- 5/5
Great staff and room
- 4/5
Our room was huge! Isabella was awesome!
- 5/5
Great location with great staff! I have stayed here several times and would recommend.
- 5/5
Great, friendly staff! Clean property, yummy complimentary cookies and clean, fantastic room; we loved the balcony and full kitchen! We arrived slightly early, if not right at check in time and the room wasn’t quite ready. We received drink comp coupons for the “inconvenience”at excellent bar! Although having to pay for the breakfast bar rather than it being included, was a bit of a disappointment… overall we had an INCREDIBLE stay and it was the vacation of my dreams seeing a concert at Moody!
