ROOM, BATHROOM, TOWEL NOT IN THE STANDARD OF MARRIOT. A BIT OF A DISAPPOINTMENT. PLT MEMBER
- 1/5
When I called them , they said you can fit 5 ppl in 2 beds. When I argued he started blaming me. His name was Kevin and its worst ever customer service experience in North America. Forget about refund, he didn't even apoligize for the mistake. I was a gold tier customer but now saying good bye to expedia.

I've stayed at this location a few times in the past, although I haven't been there in the last few years. Parking is free and easily accessible from the I-35 feeder road, although visitors need to slow down and watch for the sharp entrance. Check-in and -out were quick and easy, and I was placed on the eight floor. Amenities are few in the rooms - tea kettle and a few tea packets (one which looked like it had been around for awhile) and coffee filters. No microwave. Blow dryer available in the bathroom, and good closet space. Bed was large and fairly comfortable, although the sheets were a bit scratchy and stiff. Took awhile to figure out the thermostat. Bathroom was large, but I couldn't get hot water in the sink. I asked the desk clerk on the first night if someone could look at it, and she said she could have someone up that night. I said the next day would be ok, but she entered the request in the log. Never did see a maintenance worker, and never did get hot water in the sink. On the other hand, the water in the shower was very hot, and the faucet itself a bit stiff to move. No free breakfast, but items can be purchased at the cafe bar. A couple of restaurants within walking distance. Overall the building shows the usual wear and tear - carpet stains, peeling paper and boarding, etc. Fairly quiet except for the noise from I-35 throughout the day.

The pool was clean and well maintained and kids enjoyed every minute. Did some Caverns adventures while in Austin, this Hotel had stores and food close by.

Always a great place to stay! Easy in and out and pleasant staff!

While the Staff, Bartender, Barista and IT man are fantastic, the cleanliness of this facility especially the rooms leaves a lot to be desired. Everything needs to be updated, on our pillow was a hair when we walked in. The sheets are old, pillows old and uncomfortable and the mattress is worse. I kept rolling to the center as the mattress is old lumpy as well. The carpet is very old and in need of replacement, the AC system has 2 settings either freezing or hot. I asked for feather free pillows and housekeeping gave us feathered pillows. This just just a few of the things, not to mention the ceiling in the room and the room itself need an updo. They don't even have working ice machines.

crabby people at the desk in the morning check out
- 4/5
Location: Not located in a particularly pleasant location, right next to the Interstate and other busy roads. Hotel itself appears a little old and outdated.
- 1.5/5
The AC unit made a lot of noise, and the air that was coming from the AC units smell like dirt/strange.
- 3/5
It was a convenient location. The staff were friendly. The odor of the room, which caused pause and a discomfort stay.
- 5/5
Clean room. Staff was helpful and nice. Breakfast was delicious and parking was great and spacious.
- 2/5
Facility was worn and not well maintained - needs a refresh
- 4/5
The experience was very good; for a business environment it’s excellent
- 5/5
Hotel was great. Complimentary breakfast would have been nice.
- 5/5
Walking in the door, the clerk was professional, hospitable, informational, and patient I didn't like that there was no continental breakfast considering the high price, but they did have an available a la carte restaurant so not too bad.
- 2.5/5
Unfortunately its due for a remodel. Its run its course. It has not been upkept. The first room we got smelled musty, the carpet was nasty sticky, and we couldn't close the door to go use the restroom the barn door was stuck.
- 5/5
Nice quiet spot, very close to UT and somewhat tucked away. Staff was courteous, room was comfortable and clean. Plenty of parking. This will be my location anytime I visit UT. Go Longhorns!
- 1/5
Hotel rooms are outdated with a smell of mold and dirtiness, ceilings look old and not taken care of, wifi was not working, toilet was getting clogged and it was very slow to empty out. Lobby are looked nice but the rooms are definitely not worth the price for stay.
- 2/5
( Maeve, the lady at the front desk, was extremely helpful) are the only positive things about this hotel. Wall paint peeling everywhere, rusty bathroom tub, noisy air conditioning, broken refrigerator (on a 103°F day!!!!!!) that doesn't cool. The benches in the lobby look so bad......I am sorry, but I can not recommend this hotel. This hotel is already on life support. This hotel needs much more than a touch of TLC. Fire the management who obviously don't care and start over. The location is pretty good, but the building is pretty beat up. For the nightly charge they ask for, you can do much better.
- 4/5
I ordered boiled egg but that's not the good as expected the food is cold so i don't like that
- 3/5
there was no wifi to connect to and the restroom when flushing sounded like it was going to clog but besides these two complaints the stay was nice
- 4/5
Nice front desk staff and friendly

- 4/5
Good low price option for visiting Austin.
- 1/5
Worst hotel in Austin area, don’t book this one, i booked 2 bed queen room and this hotel management was trying to give one queen, on top of that the dirties room ever i have seen. i was there with 2 kids at late evening and it was like no issues for the management.
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and had a good view.

The hotel is well located for visiting Austin and offers free parking. The property is a little run down and needs maintenance. The front desk staff could be more helpful and friendly. A fair place to stay for the cost.

I booked with a third party and wanted to extend and she said she couldn’t and I would have to call third party Did not offer me ability for a new reservation but attendant took a while to understand I wanted a new reservation.

There were stains on my wall near the entrance in the bedroom and the shower curtain was filled with hole (room 326)

- 5/5
It was a great stay and would recommend to others.
- 4/5
We booked a multi bed suite but upon arrival we were issued a 1 king bed suite. The suite bedroom was nice and clean but we really need 2 queen beds. All they had available was a regular multi bed room which we took. It was a clean and nice but it was a a shame that we did not get the room we paid for.
- 5/5
The hotel is located in a safe, well-maintained area, which made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. The property was clean, well-kept, and provided a great overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for outstanding service, convenience, and peace of mind during their stay. I will definitely be returning!

The kitchen was closed. We had NO hot water!!!
- 5/5
Clean room friendly staff
- 5/5
The hotel was nice and the room was good overall. My only complaint was the shower water pressure, which was very low, and it took a long time to get hot water. My room was on the 9th floor, so that may have contributed, but it still shouldn’t be an excuse.
- 4/5
This appears to be an older hotel, but is maintained well for its age. All of front staff we encountered were very friendly, helpful and accommodating as we were traveling with a small dog.
- 5/5
Always agreed to stay, staff are always friendly and helpful and it’s one of the easier hotels for me to book on my trips. Highly recommended.
- 2/5
The bathroom door was broken, the lights didn’t work, the iron in the room was not working either
- 2.5/5
Close to downtown area Dingy looking inside, carpet needs to be removed, a/c unit had mold residue and the cover to control it fell off when lifted, tv froze many times, toilet flushed at a very slow pace and filled up with lots of water slowly.

safe and easy parking.

On my recent visit Juanita R at the front desk and the kitchen chef/server were delightful and professional. The dining area was very pleasant and comfortable and my room was very nice. I will return to this hotel when I visit Austin.

Staff was great
- 4/5
For an older property, everything was pretty nice.

Room was okay but a bit old. To my surprise, the restroom could be seen from outside since there was a only thin blind.

Hotel set up poorly w all room doors exposed to open lobby. Ladies talking loudly at 5 am downstairs….ie employees. Not visiting there again

The staff was friendly, and the rooms were very spacious and clean.

I absolutely loved everything about this property I would 100% recommend. Kind and friendly staff. I usually don’t write reviews but this hotel deserves one.

The hotel is kind of old and I think it’s below Marriott’s standards…
- 4/5
The room was very clean. The staff was helpful. Great location.
- 1/5
No hot water, no water pressure, and the ac made crazy noises continuously. Got virtually no sleep at all after a freezing cold shower.

- 4/5
Our room was odd, you could barely get items in the door it was a strange shape and there was a chair crammed at entrance. Also lack of lighting in the room. Can’t see what you’re wearing. Otherwise it was ok. Staff was pretty good and accommodating.
- 3/5
Pillows were uncomfortable and shower took over 5 minutes to get warm and had very low pressure.
- 3/5
Good
- 1/5
I guess I’ll begin with the stained carpet which led us right to our door which had cracks in the sides, great for letting in all the light and noise from the hallways. The worn carpeted floor was oddly sticky, when I ran the bath water to get the shower started it came out brown at first. If I hadn’t just gotten off a long flight and travel day I would have abandoned all thought of a shower. The lamp shade was stained, everything just looked greasy we were afraid to touch much and the towels were practically sandpaper as they felt 10 years old.
- 5/5
Great hotel and close the my venue

It was average
- 5/5
It was clean and comfortable

The staff was super kind and welcoming. The bathroom walls and shower had some odd stains, but overall a good experience!
- 2/5
Says it’s university downtown and it’s just off the freeway with loud helicopters and cars, not worth the money
- 2/5
Super uncomfortable bed and water was either scorching or freezing.

- 5/5
Great location. Easy parking. Nice room. Quiet and safe.
- 5/5
Room was clean and spacious, staff was great and pet friendly!
- 5/5
Smooth checkin, clean room. My only complaint was we had a conjoining room, and someones alarm kept going off and being left on over and over at like 6am until 8am- the staff did try to help/call *thank you!. There also was no microwave in the room but there was a mini fridge and coffee maker. Reasonably priced and next to the highway, I'd definitely return again!
- 3/5
The staff was super nice and friendly. The carpets need major cleaning.

Good stay
- 1/5
Dusty old building not what I was expecting from a Marriott
- 2/5
Walking in, my wife found a big toenail clipping on the carpet, we noticed the wall carpet baseboards were attached with bright staples as were some of the curtains. The bath light flickered, i asked twice to get it replaced, it was never done. The bath sink was hanging off the wall on one side, the shower handle comes off in your hand when i turned it on, the trim covering the curtains was badly chipped, some of that trim was not painted, showing raw wood. I was very disappointed as this is a Marriott
- 5/5
Clean…comfortable bed.. great shower.
- 3/5
Very noisy maybe because of thin wallls
- 2/5
Staff was excellent. Maid service inconsistent. In 4 days we had bed made once, and they brought 1 towel. Had to go request towels next day. Hotel is in poor condition. Patch walls, I saw mold in bathroom and phone did not work at all. We took pictures.
- 3/5
The hotel and rooms are old and outdated
- 3/5
Properly is old and needs an upgrade
- 3/5
Carpets need to be replaced.
- 5/5
Staff was beyond nice.
- 5/5
Rooms are in need of renovation, especially the bathrooms. Upkeep could be better. Shower drains did not handle the water well and entire bathroom flooded ankle deep. Moved us to another room, but same think happened only not as bad.
- 1/5
It appears that if we use a third party to book our stay, the experience may be even worse. I will not book through a third party and will never stay at this property again. This is a very disappointing experience.
- 5/5
Beautiful view and cleanliness, on 7th floor
- 5/5
What a wonderful experience! Cancelled a Motel 6, went to Marriott, I should have booked here from the start! Thank you!
- 3/5
It was fine for what we needed.

The hotel was good, but the mattress was terrible. Way too springy and worn out.
- 1/5
Was not allowed to check in on my app - forgot my Id at home and was not allowed even showing the reservation on my phone including confirmation number
- 5/5
It was great! Took my granddaughter to a concert and the hotel was a great place to stay.
- 4/5
So helpful that is was pet friendly. Staff was excellent. Finding hotel was a bit hard.
- 5/5
It was clean
- 5/5
Love that there was a restaurant in property and the rooms were clean.
- 5/5
Property has been recently renovated, the room looked nice and comfortable, what was not great was the water. Once you have the water running, it looks browinish. We left the water running for a bit and it looked clearer, but got us a bit uncomfortable having to shower or brush our teeth.
- 3/5
Hotel doesn’t look like in the pictures
- 1/5
This place looks nothing like the photos. So gross and old inside! It’s not in a good area either.
