Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the hotel's location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, many have expressed dissatisfaction with the valet parking service, high parking fees, and uncomfortable beds.
- Convenient location
- Clean rooms and hotel premises
- Expensive and inefficient valet parking
- Uncomfortable beds

Indoor pool was closed- main reason for selecting the property

No parking spot,we were around the hotel almost 45 minutes just looking for parking spot 😏. The room smells like the damp.

Very positive experience - great location ; helpful staff; clean rooms
- 5/5
The staff was amazing, room clean, breakfast yummy, bit the pool was closed during August, the hottest month of the year.
- 5/5
Great place to stay well worth it

The staff was overly friendly, the rooms were very clean, the entire day was great.

Great location!

The location is convenient and quiet. There’s a Starbucks in the lobby plus a good breakfast spread. The valet parking price is outrageous. I would expect a $75/ night at maybe the Four Seasons down the street, bur not at a Courtyard. Self- parking isn’t offered.
- 3/5
Valet is mandatory and per day. They should simply include it on the night rate so we are not surprised. The room service is every other day. So think twice if you have 4 people and need fresh towels The front desk lady was magnificent.

Other than the madness that came with trying to valet the car, it was a great stay!
- 4/5
Staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was nice and tidy. It does get really busy and they only have valet parking available.

The room was very.clean and comfortable, and staff was kind to provide extra towels. The location was perfect and the breakfast was delicious. We even got access to the Westin rooftop hotel pool because this.hotel's pool was closed and it was wonderful. The staff at breakfast was incredibly rude. We had 4 people in a two queen bed room and they only let two of us eat, telling the other two they would have to pay $22 plus taxes which is outrageous. If a room sleeps 4 then breakfast for 4 should be included. Also we all walked in and even after we had made it past the breakfast attendant, she called out to us that two had to leave. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming.

Parking was my only issue, valet parking for 24 hours was $69!! Make that more visible when booking.

Great & friendly staff! The guys outside were always ready to help, whether it be opening the doors, offering water, helping unload the car, etc. The girls upfront were also very helpful! Great staff.

We are two families of three, each with two teenagers. The hotel is in a great location, a 10-minute walk from Congress Bridge and 5 minutes from 6th Street. Very clean. Comfortable beds. The pool was closed for maintenance, but they offered us an alternative at a nearby hotel. Also, my son had a fever, and they allowed us to check in early. The front desk staff was friendly. My suggestion: I'd turn up the air conditioning. It's very cold in the hallways.

Location was perfect to park car and walk downtown Austin. Room was great with a spectacular night view of the city lights. Valet was easy and quick. We took out our car to drive to the hill country. Staff was great at the hotel. They handed out free waters every day. Nice little convenience store for snacks, drinks, wine. Restaurant/sports bar was big. Breakfast buffet was amazing which included a full hot buffet as well as yogurts, fruit, cereal, etc. BONUS: There is a laundry room with 4 washers and dryers. Nice to use in the middle of our trip. The indoor pool looked nice, too. Minor thing - The hallways were soooo cold!

Our room was really damp smelling.

Very great place to stay. the only downside was our first room had some water on the floor that was leaking from I think the refrigerator but they upgraded us and accommodated us very quickly.

- 5/5
Parking is overpriced, but overall it was a good stay at this hotel.

Got charged for USD 71.45 from the Hotel despite being confirmed days prior to visiting the hotel that breakfast was included. Had the same confirmation from hotel prior to having breakfast and still I am on call with Expedia and Marriott to get a refund repeating the same story.
- 5/5
Staff were amazing. We were there for a convention. We had hundreds of blind people staying at this hotel. Staff was respectful, helpful and patient. I’ve been to 20 conventions and I have to say the staff at the courtyard Marriott was the best.
- 5/5
The pool wasn’t open

It’s in the middle of downtown. Clean and spacious rooms, and wonderful staff especially this one woman. I lost the card with her name on it but she has a British accent. I think her name starts with Lady-. She was so welcoming and warm! Also the breakfast is amazing!
- 2/5
We stayed there 4 days and 3 nights and was unable to get our rooms cleaned. The most we were able to come up with were clean , extra towels , and that is all. At times the staff were rude. We were in a company car and informed them that they were not allowed to drive the vehicle. We had to drive it and we were met with a lot of conflict because of that. After observing how the valets drove other people's cars , it was clear we were not going to let them drive our company vehicle. I've never been to a hotel where it was mandatory to have valet parking. Normally I have a choice. At $65 a night for my vehicle, I expected a choice. I was forced to park my car two blocks down in a public parking area for fifteen dollars a night in order to avoid such an outrageous fee. I will not Stay at that marriott ever again.

We had a wonderful experience at the Courtyard. Staff were very nice and helpful and the property is clean and well kept.
- 3/5
Hotel only offers valent parking, which is extremely high.
- 5/5
Room was very comfortable and quiet.

Super clean!! Nice workers!! Very clean property. Central, walkable location. Very nice staff!!
- 5/5
Everythiing was good room was clean, good customer service, staff were friendly. The only thing was that pool was closed.
- 5/5
The room was really nice and clean. There is a huge construction going on across the street, but we didn’t hear much on the 10th floor, which was nice. The pool was closed due to maintenance, but we got access to the Westin hotel’s rooftop pool, which was so much nicer than the hotel’s own pool. That was very much appreciated, especially by our kids :) Thank you!
- 4/5
The guest service staff was very polite and accommodating with informative about the neighborhood and what to visit, etc. The room was very clean and bigger than expected which is always a plus. The on site restaurant and coffee shop was an added bonus. I will recommend and stay at this property again.
- 4/5
The only negative that I had at this property was that the only parking available was valet for $75.00 per day. No customer parking is available.
- 2/5
No parking, no breakfast and the ice machine was broken. They don’t even clean your room daily so you have to ask housekeeping for cups and coffee
- 5/5
Great stay! Clean and everyone was very kind ! Perfect location next to all the amazing things!!
- 5/5
Very friendly Front Desk staff and great location… It’s an older hotel but they’ve done a pretty good job updating everything… Our entire floor for whatever reason just felt kind of wet and I didn’t love that but I’m not sure if they were having a leak somewhere or if it’s normal. Just always felt that damp in my room.

While the hotel does not offer self-parking, valet parking is available for $55 per night plus taxes. We also looked into street parking, but it ended up being more expensive than the valet service. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again the next time we're in Austin.
- 2/5
The hotel decided to do construction on room 529 every morning at 8am, thus waking up all members in room 528 & 531 on a daily basis. When I approached the staff about the issue, they said it was the other hotels problem. Then when i showed then it was their hotel doing it and showed them of all the caution tape andnsigns on room 529, there suggestion of buying my silence with marriot points (which i didnt want). I said i wanted a money back credit cause every morning we all awoke to banging and slamming at 8am. How was this a peaceful stay?
- 5/5
The front desk staff, especially Ms Jazzie, is very professional and provided tremendous help to us in settling into the hotel, after a long and tiresome journey of delayed flights and hours of waiting at the airport.
- 4/5
Online it said breakfast and parking was included with the hotel and it was but you had to pay for the breakfast and the only option for parking was valet which cost about $70 each night it stayed in the garage
- 5/5
The rooms were so clean and the staff were helpful and available at all times
- 5/5
Very nice hotel! Located centrally in downtown. Very clean, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and spacious rooms and bathroom, yummy breakfast, very good amenities. Would definitely stay here again, loved it.
- 5/5
The room was great. Quiet, comfortable bed, strong WiFi with nice amenities to include a mini fridge and a nice view.

Beautiful property located in good proximity to so many restaurants and events.
- 5/5
2 days of breakfasts "comped" because of the confusion. However, It was not reversed on my credit card. Marriott usually does a nice job with keeping facilities clean and welcoming.
- 5/5
I would especially like to recognize the front desk team for their kindness and professionalism, and particularly Ladyfair, who was absolutely exceptional. She was incredibly warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely caring throughout my stay. Her positive attitude, patience, and dedication to providing outstanding service truly made a difference and elevated the entire experience. It is very rare to encounter someone who combines professionalism with such natural kindness and hospitality. I have honestly never experienced this level of hospitality at any hotel before- and I travel frequently around the world. Because of this amazing experience, I am certain I will return for another vacation in the future. Thank you very much for such a memorable stay!
- 4/5
Great location within walking distance to the 6th street bars and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. Cons. Parking was horrible. The hotel only offers valet parking at $65 a night. There’s relatively no street parking. I recommend walking a block over and using the self parking garage for half price. Second, room cleaning is only available every other day and I wasn’t informed prior. Since I was there for two days, I only had the room cleaned once, but they were attentive and brought clean towels up. My overall experience was pleasant aside from the mentioned blemishes
- 5/5
Clean room and staff were nice.
- 5/5
Great location very clean comfortable will stay there again.
- 5/5
Great location in Downtown Austin. Perfect stay for a good price.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and professional, modern hotel, room was clean and stocked with room essentials. Great location walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars. Definitely would rebook...
- 3/5
Upscale vibes. Restroom left much to be desired. Hotel is plenty close to city action. Staff was polite and helpful despite being very busy.
- 2/5
Ac wasn’t working very well. Plus a portable speaker was taken out of the car when we valet parked.
- 3/5
The location is good. It’s a little further from 6th street so very quiet but still only 5 min walk if you want to get to the activities. It’s further to Congress St and you will have to drive there instead of walking. Room is clean but is a little humid the entire time we were there. My major complaint is the pillows. They were so soft and had no support whatsoever. My husband likes soft pillow and even he couldn’t get comfortable. We requested firmer pillows but the hotel just brought us the same softness.
- 5/5
The check in was very welcoming. The room was nice and clean. The attached Restaurant was a great place to eat, have a drink and watch a sport event. The property was walking distance to the famous 6th street.
- 5/5
Amazing stay!
- 4/5
Good hotel but lighting in the rooms could be improved. It's simply too dim, even with all lights turned in.
- 5/5
Great restaurant with great service
- 4/5
For the price, this was a nice stay. My only complaint is the valet parking. I wasn't
- 5/5
This hotel was exceptional! Clean room, great staff.
- 3/5
Having Starbucks on the property was nice and the staff was helpful. I disagree with the hotel practice to charge $65 for valet parking and parked at a public parking garage 2 blocks away for $15. I also disagree with getting pre charged $50 for incidental A DAY in a hotel that does not offer anything in the room to be purchased and just hands 2 water bottles at check in for the duration of the entire stay.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Location was great!
- 5/5

Not good.
- 3/5
Staying here was okay, but don’t overlook that they valet only so it’s an additional fee per night. Also the water would take a minute to heat up in the showers anywhere from 5-10 minutes. It is downtown Austin, so convenient however that means very difficult to get around with the streets and people. Court yard is usually a go to in my books, but I would look at other near by hotels for standards I had in mind. Keep Austin weird, stay in a swanky building instead
- 5/5
Nice hotel, great downtown location, excellant staff and service. Rooms are well kept, and ajointed Starbucks for early birds. No private parking but valet parking and attendants are very professional.

Great location, clean, easy access to all of the amenities, the kids said the pool water was warm and felt so great, love all the charging choices in the room, great view. We enjoyed our stay!

Comfy. Cozy. A/c in rooms amazing
- 5/5
Rooms were nice.
- 5/5
Top notch service from the opening of our Uber doors, to a swift check in and complimentary water. Rooms were clean and the air was cool. Walkable to all downtown areas.
- 1/5
Warning: there is no free parking garage or space. You have to pay $65 or more for valet daily. The other option is to park your car on the streets which are very limited and infested with homeless. Most of the valet staff is nice but one guy was rude and condescending and visibly annoyed answering questions. There is a good restaurant and a Starbucks on site but I don’t think anything is complimentary. Be aware that there is very heavy construction going on right next door for the new convention center. Traffic and getting around is a mess. It’s supposed to be going on for the next 3-4 years. We paid a decent amount more for a suite but when we got in the room I thought they had given us just a normal room. Really not sure what I even paid more for. Overall, very very pricy with a lot of extra unexpected fees like the valet and not much to show for the higher prices. I will say that the location is fairly decent in terms of being walking distance to a lot of stuff but honestly wish we stayed elsewhere.
- 3/5
Good location as sandwich between the larger convention hotels. Although my room was close to elevators and ice machine; the bed faced the window with view to the “Resident Inn” rooms. Loved the roomy bathroom vanity sink counter and the 2way makeup mirror- that special touch.
