Breakfast was surprisingly good and varied. Get there early or seating may be an issue. Front building, grounds could be more landscaped. Overall I’d recommend, good room, nice modern shower head, breakfast included.

The walls were paper thin so we could hear all the conversations next door and could not sleep until after midnight. The photos on line did not represent the room. It was much older and not updated. One of the elevators was broken and we had to walk very far to our room. We selected Best Western plus but it should have been a minus.

Room was clean. They had comfortable beds if you like a slightly firm bed. Pillows were great. Breakfast was really good.

Overall, the cleanliness, comfort of the room, and staff were great. However, the breakfast options were very limited for vegetarians. Eggs and other potentially vegetarian hot foods were placed right next to meat products, creating a significant risk of cross-contamination. I also saw guests using the same serving utensils interchangeably between meat and non-meat items. Because of this, I could not eat the eggs or most of the hot breakfast options during my five-night stay, even though eggs are an important part of my diet. I think this is an important issue that the hotel should address, especially because it could be improved quite easily by creating some separation between meat and vegetarian items. This would make the breakfast much more accessible and comfortable for vegetarian guests.

We weren't expecting much since the price was very reasonable and was a last minute booking on a Saturday night in Austin. I cannot stress enough how pleasantly surprised we were that the room was spacious, bed was comfortable, room was very clean aside from normal wear and tear smudge marks on the wall probably from other guests. A/C kept room cool, but not cold, but it was 95 degrees outside so it was going to take awhile for room to cool down. We were asked at check in if we had a floor preference so we opted for the top floor (5th). Our room, #500, was a room on a corner, with no neighboring room on the other side either. Room was quite. Water pressure and hot water in tub/shower combo was excellent! Mini fridge kept our beverages cold. We mostly enjoyed the free breakfast, had good choices, eggs (plain scrambled or scrambled eggs mixed with melted cheese), tortillas, diced potatoes, sausage links, biscuits and gravy. Waffle maker, cereals, yogurt machine (loved this), juice machine, beverage machine that had coffee, lattes, and hot chocolate. Breads such as toast, English muffins, bagels, fruit muffins and cinnamon rolls. Packaged oatmeals and fruits (apples & oranges). Although we didn't utilize the pool it had a nice covered seating area and the pool looked clean, and lit up with blue lights at night. Saw several adults enjoying the pool, but we never heard anyone from the pool from our room. Plenty of free self parking. All in all a very good experience.

This was my second time at this Best Western in Austin, and I came back for one reason: the service. The first stay earned my return, and the second one topped it. James and Chris stood out — attentive, genuinely helpful, and quick to lend a hand [with my luggage/when I needed it]. The kind of staff that makes you a repeat guest. The breakfast buffet is a real plus, with plenty of options to start the day right. The location is hard to beat too — easy highway access, a convenience store close by, and an IHOP right next door. Whenever I’m in Austin, this is where I’ll stay. An easy recommendation.

Was a horrible smell in the elevator, and the whole hotel smells like a really old place. The zone surrounding it’s bad you see a lot of homeless.

Bryan was very helpful and nice at the front desk. We really didn’t use anything other than the room but it was nice.

The staff here was exceptionally kind to me as a single traveler. Great location for SXSW- out of the busy areas and relaxing. Great WiFi for reporters to get things done after the festival. Overall recommend staying here.

Pool was being fixed, ac tookna while to work. However , staff did their best to satisfy our needs. Location was awesome, and breakfast was grest

I’ve stayed at the Best Western Plus for quite some time now. They do put authorization holds on your card, they will tell you that there isn’t an incidental hold, but they will put holds on your cards. Then the staff will not know what to do, when you come down and investigate the matter. It’s a cool place to stay, just keep that small detail in mind.

I LOVEEE that this property doesn’t have an incidental hold, as do many hotels in the area. The staff was not only knowledgeable, but super polite and well mannered. The property itself is well maintained, the breakfast is amazing, and the parking is GREAT. I will 100% be staying here again, I’m very satisfied with the value of this hotel.

If you are construction worker, do not stay at this hotel. 2 of our employees work trucks had been broken into and cleaned out in the parking lot. All their tools are gone. Do not recommend this place.

I had an emergency and the manager was so accommodating and took a call after hours. I believe his name is Brryan at the front desk was very very helpful. He went above and beyond what needed to happen. The property was clean. Breakfast was amazing and a complementary coffee and tea was very nice to have. I would definitely stay here again.

During the night you saw so much homeless people and crack heads walking. At one point, we heard arguing and a commotion and people run. The next day I chose to check out. Rooms felt dirty and smelled dirty. I ended up getting a rash from that one night.

Clean room. Helpful Front Desk. Good Breakfast. We only had one issue -- we were staying in a room overlooking the lobby. Two guys came back to the hotel at 2:30 AM and carried on a loud conversation until around 3:00 AM. It would start up and then die down and then start back up. Happily, as I was getting ready to go down to ask them lower their voices, they apparently went to their rooms or left. They were not yelling -- just talking very loudly, and I think that our room position made it worse, so beware if you have an "_01" number. Otherwise, it was a perfectly good stay.

As soon as I walk thru the room I close the door and there was a roach in the door and some more roaches all over the walls , plugs and floor …

Let’s see the ice machine did not work on either floor, so there was no ice. It was the loudest motel I’ve ever been in and I ended up having to get up and switched motels for tonight. They had a group of constructions workers out until late and then slamming doors and doing all kinds of things from like 6 to 8. Front desk was rude as hell and I tried it because it looked from the outside like a nicer hotel. Once you get to the inside, things are definitely run over and there does not seem to be any organization at the front whatsoever. When I asked to leave they said I would not get any sort of refund at all these kind of chains who put low paying people in there and wonder why their business is flop.
