Loved every aspect of my stay.

We stay at the Proper several times a year. We love everything about it! Our favorite downtown Austin hotel

Room was nice, as was pool. Coffee bar was the most disappointing. Coffee was weak (looked like tea when poured) and the complementary muffins were laughable. For the price of the lodging, the coffee and muffins area seemed very low effort. Front desk stated they would text when room was ready (we forgot to request de-feathering) and we ended up have to call the front desk after over an hour to see if it was ready. We’re able to relax at pool with friends while waiting.

Beautiful and fun hotel with impeccable service. They thought of everything and it is a wonderful total experience!

Had a great time at Proper! From the pool, restaurants, and lounge, it was all a great experience. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay the best. Do not hesitate, book it!

The Peacock restaurant was great for breakfast and lunch, the room and the lobby were beautifully decorated and really interesting.

This hotel was truly incredible! The architecture and decor was honestly the most amazing I've ever seen! I could not stop looking around and taking it in. Loved it so much! The pool was really nice and we had a great time! Get there early though, it fills up so fast!! The various bars and restaurants were really nice! Your literally didn't even need to leave the hotel🙂

The location is primo and the beds are so comfortable!!

For the high price to have a room that looks at another building wall with no daylight is not ideal.

Wonderful weekend stay with kids! Pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and quiet the rooms are. We stayed in a room on the same floor as the pool. Could not hear much from that area. Attentive and friendly staff at the pool.

Everything was excellent. The staff at the downstairs restaurant were a bit interesting personalities. But everyone else was extremely classy and respectful.

I had brain surgery & needed to decompress , pre drinks at their fab Peacock bar & did my victory lap at the Stevie Nicks concert w/ my crew. 10/10. Highly recommend booking a stay here, very worth it .

Great location. Efficient valet service even though it was Easter weekend when we arrived so extremely busy. Rooms clean, well equipped, lovely touch of Dyson hairdryer, Aesop toiletries and clothes steamer. Beds extremely comfortable. We didn’t use any of the restaurants as they were a little pricey to use for our whole stay as family of four, but plenty of options a short walk from the hotel.

Finally a five star hotel with a five star service. Design is amazing, attention to details. Staff is genuinely nice and extremely helpful. Can’t wait until you open a Lisbon location. Thank you to the property staff and Managment.

The service: Helpful staff right from the moment I stepped out of my car! Great meals from room service. Extra touches: Super cute stuffed toy armadillo and bat for our toddler placed in her crib and tiny slippers---really adorable. Loved our stay.

Great vibe and excellent service. Giving them 5 stars despite the fact they didn't honor the VIP upgrade and perk and elevators didn't work great. But, cocktail bar was great and made up for this

This was one of the nicest stays in a long time. Absolutely beautiful hotel. Love the design details and whole vibe. Had a fantastic breakfast and incredible service. Wish our stay was longer!

Felt like a four star hotel, definitely not 5 star. The rooms were very small and basic, the staff had no idea what was going on and then lobby / restaurants were dirty, and disorganised.

Nice property and great staff. If you are looking for a good time this is the place, if you’re looking for peace and quiet keep looking. Very busy and lively!

Overall nice hotel. Rooms are nice. The bar downstairs was our only dissapointment. Way to loud and overcrowded. Hotel guest can’t even get a table. Look like a pickup area for young hungry girls that want old men with money!

Hosted an event and a team dinner at this hotel. Also had 10 guests staying here as well as myself. It was all fantastic! Do yourself a favor and stay here!

The person tasked with cleaning our room kept making errors. One night, s/he left all the dirty bed sheets and towels in our room, after the room was cleaned. Another time, there were no slippers to be found. Every day, there was something missing.

Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Amazing stay, comfortable atmosphere and always a small walking distance from a good place to grab a bite to eat. If I ever find myself in the city of Austin again, you best believe my stay is going to be at the Austin Proper.

Great food options and cool room. The pool was a bit small and always full, it looked like a motel pool. We payed for late check out which is a bit pricey and they interrupted us twice. Fortunately they refunded half of the fee when we told management.

Very young and social hot spot . Facilities a little above average but not 5 star. Some staff excellent but others are totally untrained and bad service . Food is good not excellent but acceptable.

The room I had was great, however there were loud noises coming from across the building at like 5am, which made it hard to sleep even with the ear plugs the hotel provided. Besides that I adored my stay.

The Austin proper is super beautiful. I booked this stay as I was intrigued by the Pilates and yoga offered at the property and called early to reserve some classes but was told to do so at the property. When I got there, I was told they had no class offerings for that time which was a big let down as it was the main reason I booked this hotel. The breakfast was amazing but the room service dinner was overpriced and underwhelming. Otherwise, the overall aesthetic and interior design are top tier. In room products are luxurious and attention to detail was on point.

Amenities: The rooftop pool and bar offer stunning city views, perfect for a relaxing afternoon or evening.

Stayed at Proper for a long weekend with my friend for a moms’ escape! It surpassed our expectations with the attention to detail throughout our stay. The property is beautiful, but the friendliness, efficiency, and welcoming nature of the staff were incomparable. Thank you for a weekend of feeling pampered and well taken care of. We are so grateful for the time to relax!
