Reviews
Guests generally have a positive experience at this hotel, appreciating its cleanliness, convenient location, and friendly staff. The proximity to the University of Texas is a significant advantage. However, some guests have issues with the comfort of the beds and the thin walls, which can lead to noise disturbances.
- Convenient location, particularly for visiting the University of Texas
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Uncomfortable beds in some rooms
- Thin walls leading to noise disturbances

The entire staff goes above and beyond to ensure we have the best possible experience. I can’t express my gratitude enough to Clarissa for arranging my future plans, Paul for delivering numerous packages to my room, Isaac for consistently accommodating all my requests.
- 5/5
Loved the room, very clean and modern! We will come back soon!
- 5/5
Very comfy campus accessible hotel that I will utilize in the future.
- 5/5
From the minute we pulled up in the valet area to the minute we pulled out of the valet area, the morning we left, everything and everyone was fabulous. Each and every staff member was polite, attentive to our needs, accommodating, respectful, friendly, and on and on. I cannot say enough on how amazing the staff members were. The room and dining were great. If we are in the area again, we will surely stay again!
- 5/5
Amazing hotel..will definitely stay here again and again
- 5/5
I have been to Marriot, Hyatt, Multiple IHG etc. First hotel to even have hand soap dispenser in the room - small detail but goes far.
- 4/5
We always love this hotel. Unfortunately, they did not honor our request for a room with 2 double beds because we made the rez via a 3rd party app. They did give us some drink tix, but only after we asked. Otherwise the stay was good.
- 5/5
Also, the restaurant/bar downstairs is very understaffed- people are friendly but patrons shouldn't have to go up to the bar to get a drink when you have waitstaff. This property has as amazing finish your, and a staff that cares, but it seems like they need more help - at least on Gabriel's
- 5/5
Love it! Great lication! We will be back!
- 5/5
I went to UT in the 1980s. It is amazing that UT owns and operates a hotel and conference center on campus. So nice and convenient. We will be back Halloween weekend. Hook’em!
- 5/5
Staff were vey friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again
- 5/5
Every time we visit the UT area we can’t find a better place to stay. Beautiful hotel with great staff.
- 5/5
Great location and reasonable prices compared to other similar properties.
- 5/5
Great large and remodeled room!
- 5/5
The hotel is well located with polite knowledgeable staff.
- 5/5
Such a convenient hotel to stay overnight for a concert at Moody. Our room appeared to recently be renovated and was clean and comfortable! We won’t stay anywhere else when we travel from San Antonio for a concert at Moody!!
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Excellent hotel but there was a lot of construction.
- 5/5
Excellent property
- 5/5
Checking in, valet parking and staff to help with bags was very efficient. The rooms were nicely appointed and very close to the Austin scene. We were there for at concert at the Moody Center. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a wonderful buffet, with everything very fresh. We waited 20 minutes for someone to get our bags to check out and no one ever came. I would still highly recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
The hotel room was excellent, very clean, spacious, had everything we needed. Gave it a 4 star because 1 of the elevators wasn’t working and self parking is very tight for a large vehicle.
- 5/5
loved my stay!
- 4/5
Great staff (Kelly) and wonderful location. Only comment is there is a ton of construction surrounding the building and room renovations to the hotel itself. Once completed it will be wonderful!
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and rooms were great; would love to stay here again and for longer next time!
- 5/5
The room facing the street can be noisy for light sleepers
- 5/5
This is our favorite place to stay in Austin. It is so close to everything we enjoy. It is a special gift we give ourselves each time we come to visit my dear cousin.
- 5/5
Room and hotel were great! Lots of construction going on but it didn’t bother us.
- 5/5
Great staff, location and food.
- 5/5
Loved everything about this place. The room was great, the location was super convenient, and the staffs were incredibly warm and helpful. Would definitely come back! 10/10 recommendation!
- 5/5
Location!!
- 5/5
I LOVED THE ROOM SERVICE/ HOW QUICK IT WAS
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Other than that, the property is beautiful and looks amazing. Check-in was quick, easy, and the staff was very friendly. We even received two complimentary drink coupons for the bar, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the bartender was not very welcoming. He seemed upset and acted like he didn’t want to be there, which made the bar experience disappointing. We also spent some time at the pool. It was nice and seemed like a good option for families with kids. The room was newly renovated, clean, and modern. Overall, despite the ongoing renovations and the disappointing bar service, I would definitely stay here again because of the location, updated rooms, and friendly front desk staff.
- 4/5
Clean, the bed and pillows were the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced, making for an incredibly restful stay. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi wasn’t working properly. Aside from that, everything was perfect, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
- 4/5
Not much of a wine selection not craft beers. Great location. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Accompanting and beautiful

Great property, great location
- 5/5
Clean room, breakfast was good and staff was excellent.
- 4.5/5
Construction was inconvenient with elevators down
- 4/5
Certain floors and rooms were under renovation during the day and early evening. The onsite staff were friendly and accommodating. The location of the facility was convenient (on campus, near the business schools and the Drag, close to the tower, dining spots and I-35 and far enough away from the distractions of downtown Austin). Ongoing construction behind the hotel limits the view of campus and impacts pedestrian pathways. The drapes/curtains/windows covering provided an acceptable amount of privacy. The closet and desk area were adequate, but internet access from the room was not secure. The lounging chair in the room was not very functional--a recliner or other chair with limited or no curves would have been more comfortable for a person of average height or taller. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning was reliable. The renovated shower was nice (there IS a drain). The microwave (upon request) and mini refrigerator were generally functional, but all features on the microwave were in French. The room (other than the bathroom) needed brighter, more reliable lighting. The parking garage was accessible, and I felt generally secure throughout the facility. Interior seating in the lobby area and near the television was fair. The outdoor seating was fair--additional ceiling fans in certain areas would have been helpful. I did not access or use the conference center, onsite restaurants, quick drink/snack stop (for a fee) or gift store.
- 5/5
I have stayed at this hotel many times, most recently for an event on campus. It is my go-to choice, especially for UT game days, due to its exceptional convenience and walking distance to the stadium. The rooms are currently undergoing renovations and look fantastic; I especially love the updated, spacious bathrooms with walk-in showers instead of tubs. Despite the ongoing construction, there was no disruption to my stay whatsoever. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone attending events on campus.
- 5/5
Highly recommend.
- 2/5
The hotel is undergoing construction and the elevator was not functioning at times. The room we were in was next to a building also undergoing construction and the sound was annoying and didn’t allow us to sleep in.
- 5/5
excellent experience
- 5/5
Such a great experience! Fully understand that it was slow season and we probably would never be able to touch this place in season but lucky us. We had the whole hotel to ourselves. The staff was amazing and the room was on point!
- 5/5
Friendly and professional staff. They were in the middle of renovations, but it wasn’t loud or noisy. I will definitely book again.
- 5/5
Valet guys and Mr Lee were very friendly and the room service staff were hilarious ?
- 5/5
Great location for university guests. Self parking facility is awesome.
- 4.5/5
Love the location, ambiance, courtyard, coffee breakfast bar, staff and comfortable room. They are renovating right now and the elevator didn’t work properly on our departure day due to a construction issue. It will be temporary, so not worried about it long term.
- 5/5
Hotel updates are lovely. Always enjoy staying here.
- 5/5
Great location and very peaceful for being in the middle of the city.
- 5/5
The perfect location. Good parking garage.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, very relaxing

Excellent
- 5/5
😁
- 5/5
Overall, great hotel! The service was excellent, from the check in process, the coffee shop, restaurant, bar and even at the gift shop! The rooms were clean and looked very well kept. Couple of minor issues were the fact that the elevators by our room did not work through the duration of our stay, we had to walk on our floor across the entire building, take the elevator and then access back the hotel to exit. Lastly, they cleaned our room, but left dirty glasses from the bar on both occasions they went in to tidy the room. Definitely would stay again and recommend.
- 5/5
Pool could be bigger and nicer.
- 5/5
A great place to stay for individuals, couples, or families. It was perfect for our UT Orientation trip, The location made it easy to get where we needed to be without dealing with traffic. All the staff were polite and professional. The room was great, and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this location for your next stay near UT Austin.
- 5/5
First time in Austin great overall experience will definitely recommend anyone to go there five star service
- 5/5
Stuff is excellent, rooms and facilities are very clean, location is great, food in restaurants is very tasty.
- 5/5
The room was very nice and clean, everything like new.
- 5/5
Rooms were cozy and located right in the heart of campus (UT Austin). I wish breakfast was included.
- 1/5
Hotel cancelled our reservation without any notice! We were made aware of the cancelation when we arrived to check in. Terrible experience
- 4/5
It is a nice hotel, but it was under construction. You have to pay $21/day for parking, so it is frustrating to pay and have difficulty maneuvering in and out because of workers and their big trucks. I had to wait 5 minutes for a truck to get out of the way one morning. My last night, the elevator broke, so I had to drag all of my luggage all the way down the hall to the other side to get to the other set of elevators and then drag it all the way back to the checkout counter. Fine - but not the best way to leave the place. I believe it would be better once construction is done. Perhaps they could have reduced parking fees for the inconveniences.
- 5/5
This was the nicest, and most clean hotel I've ever stayed at. Seriously, other hotels could take note from this hotel and use it as a model to make their hotels as nice as they could possibly be. If I'm ever in Austin again, I will be staying here. Quiet area, but close to everything. Parking is reasonable and easy. They have a valet option with unlimited entry/exit for one price which I think was 50 something dollars, or right around the corner they had a parking garage where you could park and leave whenever for 21 dollars a night. Amenities were awesome, the rooms were nice, cozy, clean, cold, and dark. The staff was helpful, respectful, and most importantly informative. I could not have asked for a better, or easier stay. I cannot thank you all enough for making this the easiest/best stay I've had in years. 100/10 stars! ✅
- 5/5
Excellent location
- 5/5
Magnificent. Perfect Nothing
- 5/5
This is an upscale experience with an immaculate hotel rooms. The sheets and the bed are very comfortable and the bathrobe provided for your stay takes it to the next level. I would give them 6 stars if I could.
- 4/5
Nice hotel and nearly all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Isaac at the frontdesk with the pedicab and how to avoid walking in the hot weather to the fireworks. But something did not match up: the photos on Expedia of the executive king room show a sofa and sitting area and the actual room lacked this and was much smaller. Also, the description states bike rental, but this did not exist either. Not everyone can swim and pools are then useless, but the UT campus is huge so bike rental really helps.
- 5/5
Nice and newly renovated
- 5/5
Really clean and nice
- 5/5
Amazing hotel
- 5/5
Great location for July 4th weekend Air didn’t work the first night but was fixed.
- 5/5
Beautiful, clean, just magnificent Pool was small
- 5/5
We loved the location and the friendly staff!
- 4/5
The room was nice - basic room. With all of the construction going on, the parking was crazy. A lot of workers blocking getting in and out in the morning, which would have been fine, if I had not been charge $21 a day to park my car. I had to wait to get out as they blocked the exit this morning. It is just a bit expensive for the value. However, it is a nice place to stay.
- 5/5
My family and I enjoyed our stay here.
- 5/5
Great hotel and very convenient to campus
- 5/5
Our first time here it was great!
- 5/5
Loved everything and absolutely loved progress but the construction noise was loud in the morning starting at 8 am and roads were blocked by those vehicles in the mornings also.
- 5/5
Such a great place to stay at. Quiet and peaceful.
- 5/5
I travel a lot and this is my go to in Austin. The pool could use a refresher, but everything else is fantastic.
- 4/5
Newly renovated room was great but shower not sealed so leaked through to floor. Lack in snacks with gift shop closing at 5pm
- 5/5
Good location Nothing
- 5/5
The only thing you can complain about is the nearby construction, but wasn’t really a bother more like it made it difficult to find the garage garage
- 5/5
Excellent stay. Woman working at the front desk who checked us in on Saturday evening was excellent. Courteous, answered all our questions, and very welcoming.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, friendly and helpful staff! Will definitely book another stay with them whenever we’re in town! :)
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was friendly, and location was convenient to Moody Center where the concert we were attending was held.
- 5/5
The hotel's staff was outstanding. The room was beautiful. The location is great.
- 3/5
The construction started at 7am. We came in town for a concert so this wasn’t ideal the next morning. We were hoping to rest, relax and enjoy our time away but it was it was very loud and unsettling. We were only given a few days notice that there would be construction. Our view was only construction … prices were still high and no price reduction given. I would have chosen another hotel if I had known this would be our experience.
- 5/5
We love it ! For sure we will come back
- 5/5
So clean and staff very professional. It’s great that it’s on campus so you just walk everywhere. Great cafes and restaurant. Big TVs in one of their cafes. We’ll definitely go back!
- 5/5
Great Service, friendly staff, and the hotel was very well kept, overall made our trip a lot better.
- 5/5
The hotel was supposed to be currently under construction but if it was you couldn't tell it. There was no dust, no taped off areas, no disruptive sounds. Great location and easy walking distance to the Moody Center.
- 5/5
Nicely updated and super location
- 5/5
A lovely spot to rest after busy days.
- 5/5
Great hotel! New beautiful rooms, excellent breakfast buffet and drinks at Gabriel’s!
- 5/5
AT&T Hotel and Conference Center is our top pick always when we come to Austin. Our oldest just graduated from UT - but we have an incoming freshman so we look forward to many more stays. We love everything about it! Including the amazing food in Carillon - we had not had their three-course dinner in several years - and it was as amazing as we remembered. Nothing!
- 5/5
Great place to stay, close to campus with lots of things to do.
- 5/5
The hotel was under room renovations. The room and areas that we were in were not affected by these renovations and it was actually quiet. The customer service was excellent, from the check in to the wait staff at Gabriel’s restaurant. The food at the restaurant was very good. Everyone I came into contact with was courteous, professional, and had a smile in their face.
- 5/5
Bar downstairs Would stay there again Super convenient location to UT campus
- 5/5
Excellent staff. Place is amazing
- 5/5
Location for UT events is fantastic. Hotel is clean and staff goes above and beyond to accommodate your needs.
- 5/5
Room service was excellent... honestly better than I expected. My only minor complaint is the Wi-Fi. While it’s free, Id gladly pay for a faster option especially when traveling with kids. Other than that, we had a very comfortable stay. I def recommend this hotel and we'll absolutely be back.
- 4/5
Renovations were underway, and I was woken up at 8 a.m., but otherwise, everything was very good.
- 5/5
This is our favorite place to stay in Austin as we are usually in town for a UT sporting event or concert at Moody. Very convenient and clean.
- 5/5
Perfect for comfort and a quiet place to rest from the hustle and bustle of the busy Austin campus. The location was easy to get to and the valet service was prompt with our vehicle. The staff were all very attentive and the restaurant food is excellent.
- 5/5
The room was clean. Comfortable beds. Restaurants on site had excellent service and food. Next event at the Moody center wd are staying here again... Its just a short walk away.
- 4/5
Location We had an alarm go off that made us evacuate the hotel, and when we asked why we were basically given a non answer. I feel the hotel could have at least told why we had to evacuate and cross the street. I understand that things happen, but at least tell us why
- 5/5
We absolutely loved this hotel. Travelling with a friend and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were well maintained, aesthetically pleasing and modern. All of the facilities including the pool, gym and restaurants were amazing. A short uber ride to all the main attractions. Overall a really enjoyable stay and would 100% stay here again.
- 5/5
The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The location was perfect for our activities and the staff were so helpful. We did not get a chance to fully enjoy all the amenities during our stay but we found the hotel to be very quiet and accommodating.
- 4/5
The property is going through a renovation, so it should be given some forgiveness. I had an enjoyable stay and it was lovely. There were a couple of glitches, but nothing horrible. The pool was nice, but the rooms were AMAZING! It truly was a lovely stay.
- 5/5
Overall this was a good stay.
- 5/5
Nice - need 16 more char.
- 4/5
The hotel is under construction, but over the three-day Memorial Day weekend we heard next to nothing EXCEPT THE CHILD VIOLIN PLAYERS PRACTICING ACTOSS THE HALL AND NEXT DOOR IN THE PREDAWN HOURS. Yes, really. Imagine being awakened by multiple beginner violin players mixed with some Mandarin thrown in for good measure. Apparently there was a big competition in Austin today and the adjoining door between the rooms was not well insulated. The sound complaints at this hotel are no joke. Also the bathroom shower was incredibly small and the bed was uncomfortable. The hotel is halfway renovated, so make sure to ask for one of the renovated rooms. Hopefully all of these issues will be resolved. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. They just need to group people more intentionally, especially the violin players!
- 4/5
Great hotel, great location, front desk is helpful, courteous and professional, especially Paul. Breakfast is excellent with lots of choices. Rooms are clean and well furnished.
- 5/5
Great beautiful property
- 3.5/5
Rooms were nice and cozy. AC was cold! Yay! Noise. There were several groups of teens going from room to room late at night. My room actually received an automated call about another noise complaint. I just hung up and went back to sleep.
