Reviews
The hotel reviews are mixed, with some guests praising the friendly staff, clean rooms, and convenient location, while others express dissatisfaction with the state of the rooms, cleanliness, and noise levels. The proximity to Six Flags and other attractions is a common positive, but issues with smoking, bugs, and maintenance are frequent negatives.

It was really close to Globe Life Field and the opposite way from traffic so we were able to easily get there and back with little traffic. The breakfast. I wish there was a hot breakfast and also a dispenser with water.
- 2.5/5
It was close to the venue we were attending. Older property in severe need of a remodel.
- 2/5
I liked the size of the room. I was given the spa suite room but I only paid for a standard room. There were bugs in the room. A few ants and roaches that I have noticed. There was a noticeable tear in the bedsheet cover. The TV service was very minimal; more than half the channels were set to "audio only". The room had a ironing board burn mark in the carpet of the room. The minifridge seems to be breaking down--it was leaking water inside.
- 5/5
The Ranger Inn is a super affordable hotel in a great location. Not the most modern hotel, but worth the stay when on a budget. The staff have always been very helpful and nice.

We liked that the hotel was so close to everything.
- 3/5
Location next to six flags and majority of amenities on property. What dissatisfied me with the stay was the breakfast that was stated as being provided. It was a few prepackaged honey buns, muffins and other perishable items. But also only 2 cereal selections that one could tell was side bland not really good quality. But that was not the main issue but there was no milk and had run out or thats what I was told. When we stay at hotels one reason my kids and I wake up early in the morning is for a good breakfast alot of the times but it was pretty disappointing.

It was close to six flags as well as at&t stadium. Only complaint was there was no hair dryer.

The location was great for an event in the AT&T Stadium. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom and flooring was updated and the staff was courteous. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it looked great. The price is great so I think it is a very good value. There is no in-room coffee, the furniture looked well worn, and breakfast was the bare bones with pre-packaged, dry pastries.
- 4/5
Close to everything, 20 minute walk to globe life field, nice remodeled rooms, and wake up to the roller coasters across the street at Six Flags.
- 3.5/5
That it was super close to the venue Thin walls/ could hear people next door
- 2/5
It was close to six flags and had a swimming pool for the hot days and the AC kept you cold Bad lighting could use updates and the tub was so tall and it had crickets inside the bathrooms and by the TV and didn't have breakfast only like honey buns and sunny D
- 4.5/5
Good place and location There were noisy kids in the pool after 10:00
- 4/5
The location is perfect because you can see Six Flags from across the street. The price was very good as well. The carpets felt dirty. They just needed to be cleaned with a carpet cleaning machine. The bed was very firm and the pillows were cheap and lumpy.

Clean friendly pool clean
- 3.5/5
Convient to Six Flags. Was less expensive than ither nearby hotels Had an old out dated feel to it. Small pool area got crowded very fast.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Shower had great water pressure. There was a microwave and refrigerator which always helps. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was cold cereal and coffee, yogurt. Pool was clean and nice. The location was awesome as we attended the Texas Rangers game. Air conditioner worked great...cold.

Motel vibes!
- 5/5
I think they should update there breakfast like to some pancakes or waffles
- 3/5
It's a good location, just a quick drive to nearby restaurants, all while offering a lovely view of Six Flags. The parking lot was very well-lit, which made us feel safe and comfortable. The rooms were clean and cozy, with a simple breakfast featuring goodies like wrapped cinnamon rolls, etc. Overall, a decent stay!
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The price is good and the location is really convenient to the stadiums and Six Flags. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. Small things I had an issue with were several of the TV stations were audio only, which was weird, and also there were no lamps in the room or mood lighting (it was all directly overhead can lights).
- 5/5
Convenient location and clean rooms
- 3/5
The bed we had was really hard
- 5/5
Great clean safe space to sleep when visiting six flags att stadium or other nearby attractions
- 3/5
Not much breakfast- pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit. Check in went smooth- staff friendly
- 1/5
Instantly refunded and went to another hotel.
- 5/5
Rooms are always clean and the staff is nice
- 5/5
Great hotel close to a lot of things. Six Flags, Globe Life field, etc.
- 4/5
Very convenient location
- 3/5
Unfortunately the room was not clean when we arrived. There were leftover snacks in a drawer, hair on the shower wall that did not belong to either me or my partner, and dead bugs on the floor. The property itself was nice and very convenient for location to Six Flags, however the room was not as clean as we were hoping.
- 4/5
Not a bad place. The pool hours are 10 am-10pm, went to go to the pool at 11:15 am and it was still locked. Handle to our door broke on the last day, so couldn't get in our room until the guy at thy front desk came to help. Other than that, great stay
- 2/5
We stayed for two nights and both mornings breakfast was unavailable during breakfast hours. The door to the lobby was locked and no one answered the phone or doorbell despite several calls and rings. After 30 minutes the first day we got frustrated and went elsewhere for breakfast. We tried for 5 minutes the second day and the same thing happened. Additionally, a very loud noise similar to a tornado siren went off several times between 4 and 7am both nights. It was not a tornado siren (we looked it up) and it was very hard to get good sleep with it going off.
- 4/5
Everything was good and take. Care of I a timely manner
- 1/5
The photos are a misrepresentation of what the rooms really look like.
- 2/5
The biggest disappointment was the advertised "breakfast included." We expected a hot breakfast or at least something more substantial. Instead, the options were muffins, cinnamon rolls, honey buns, bananas, yogurt, cereal, coffee, and orange juice. The milk was actually frozen, and we were told it would thaw out soon. When you're traveling with kids and heading to the park for a long day, that's just not enough. Maybe I should have looked into the breakfast details more closely before booking, but it was still disappointing. Another issue was the room key cards. We had to go to the front desk at least four different times to have them reprogrammed, and even then we constantly struggled to get the door to unlock. It became very frustrating. The staff was decent and polite throughout our stay, but the property itself feels a little run down and could definitely use some updates and maintenance. Overall, the location is the biggest advantage, but the breakfast, unreliable key cards, and aging property made the stay less enjoyable than we had hoped.
- 5/5
The staff is nice and the rooms were clean
- 5/5
Older building, very clean and staff were great! I would definitely stay there again. Added Bonus was a room with 3 queen beds!!
- 3/5
While it technically was clean, its run down enough that it’s not noticeable enough. There wasn’t flexibility to get a bottom floor room. A/C was incredible. Wifi didn’t work. Pool bad.
- 1/5
The room is really old , had a broken mirror , dirty bathroom , the bed cloth everything is dirty
- 4/5
Clean breakfast area has 3 tables breakfast is snack
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay here with my family for Father’s day weekend. I will definitely book here in the future
- 5/5
Clean room and close to the entertainment district
- 5/5
I thought the property was great. It was very clean. The front desk was very nice and accommodating right across the street from the park which was very convenient. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Perfectly fit the bill for my short, inexpensive getaway trip to Six Flags Over Texas. The room was nice, clean, well air-conditioned, comfortable bed, and had a great, strong shower. That's really all I need. Ordered DoorDash one night and they forgot my drink. So I went down to the lobby to use the drink machine. It advertises cashless payments via swipe or tap, but the card reader was missing and I had no cash. I asked the manager at the front desk if I could get some cash, and he offered me a comped soda instead. Unexpected but nice! Would recommend to anyone visiting the park. You can literally walk right into the park (it's a few steps, but hey, you're gonna be walking all day anyway right?)
- 3/5
The fixtures in the bathroom all worked fine and water pressure was good. The lighting is kinda harsh LED cans in the ceiling. The room was non-smoking but had definitely been smoked in and smelled like cigarette smoke even after 4 days. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The AC unit made frequent weird noises but worked fine. Be forewarned, the hotel is directly across from 6 flags and you can hear the roller coasters and screaming all day. The sound isn't bad but it's noticeable. Breakfast was bananas (always at the perfect level of ripeness, a touch of green) and packaged pastries. There's a keurig machine there which is better than most hotel lobby coffee so that's a plus. Parking was free easy while I was there.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Very nice people staff was helpful! Very convenient to 6 flags! Quiet area
- 2/5
No enough parking spots and we had bugs in room
- 3/5
Not clean. Urine and hair in the bathroom. Door opens to the outside and doesn't latch. Loose toilet seat. No breakfast options other than cereal, packaged muffins, and coffee and wasn't restocked the following day. No staff in sight most of the trip. Did not list there wasn't an elevator and had us on the second floor when my mother needs a new knee.
- 3/5
While things were clean, and I might would stay here again, it's not the best place in the world. It's old. The breakfast, while not even advertised, was all sugary stuff except the yogurt. It's pretty convenient for overnight stays for Six Flags (literally right across the street from the Judge Roy Scream) or Rangers/Cowboys games. So, location is great! Not a bad stay....just an old hotel.
- 4/5
Its a good place to stay.
- 5/5
Clean room nice staff convenient location!
- 5/5
When I was looking for accommodations as close as possible to Six Flags I came across Ranger Inn. The property and room were clean and well maintained, plus the staff was very friendly. For a 2-star motel this was probably the best/nicest I've ever stayed at.
- 1/5
Tv didn’t work Bed was uncomfortable like a rock No continental breakfast Hair was in
- 4/5
It served its purpose well. Only stayed overnight for a concert.
- 4/5
It was a nice stay.
- 2/5
They wouldn’t open the pool because there has been thunderstorms 3 hours prior, even though it was clear skies and warm. Also, ‘breakfast’ was a total joke.
- 4/5
Room was clean, staff was friendly. Pool looked nice, and breakfast was ok (cereal, muffins, yogurt). No coffee makers in the rooms but the beds were comfy and shower had great water pressure.
- 5/5
The room was perfect for what we needed. Very spacious and pretty clean overall. The pool was great!! Amazing location close to everything we needed. We did not use the hot tub in our room as we were so busy the whole weekend. Six Flags is literally across the street so you do get the noise from there but the property was great.
- 4/5
We got to the hotel around 8:00pm, easy check in. It was a little noisy until about 10:00 due to being right across the street from Six Flags but not bad. Room was cool, beds were comfortable, shower pressure was perfect. My family had 4 rooms and they were all good accept the one on the bottom smelled like cigarette smoke. I came prepared with fabreeze and it was fine. Breakfast was cereal, muffins, fruit, yogurt, coffee, and juice and it was perfect. The pool looked nice but we didn't have time! Would recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
I went to the Bruno Mars concert with my daughter and stayed here. The location was perfect! You wake up in the morning, and open the door and a big beautiful rollercoaster smacks you in the face--it sets the tone for an amazing day. The vibe is unbeatable and it makes you wanna have fun the rest of the day. The room was clean and comfortable and we felt safe. You can't beat the price. We will definitely be going again.
- 4/5
Staff very welcoming and helpful. Room met expectations.
- 2/5
At least it was one night!!!! NOT SMOKE FREE OR KID FRIENDLY AND NOT CLEAN!!!!!!! ROOM 119. Only good this was the location we were 3 mins from the ballpark.
- 5/5
Nice rooms good price, good location
- 1/5
Bed BUGS, dirty room, bathroom mirror had old spit and toothpaste on it the chair in the room felt rough. Noise all night, I would not recommend this place even though it is conveniently close to six flags, Ranger stadium and cowboys stadium not much to see there though. Like the hotel they both suck.
- 5/5
The room was excellent, location is great, near Six Flags and the stadiums.
- 5/5
Staff was nice, able to check in early. Free breakfast, but I woke up late so wasn’t able to do it. Only “bad” thing was six flags right across, so you hear them test the rides, but I was gone most of the day so it didn’t bother as much. Would stay here again tho🙂↕️
- 5/5
Ranger is a simple but great and affordable spot. The rooms were basic but very clean and have been maintained and updated. The beds were comfortable. Granted, six flags is literally across the street, the noise is apparent but after 10pm or so it was dead silent. I was in town for work, i’d definitely stay here again. Thanks
- 1/5
There was a smell of smoke and a cigarette burn in the sheets. Not recommended
- 3/5
It’s a simple place. Dated, but clean and staff was nice.
- 5/5
We loved it
- 5/5
The view of the coasters from the room is really cool. Both my boys loved hearing the screams of riders before we walked over to the park. It is a 10 min walk to Six Flags. I wish there was a pedestrian cross walk but the traffic wasnt too bad for crossing. It was great walking past all the cars lined up to enter Six Flags.
- 5/5
It's always a good time when I can go here for when I travel. They treated me properly and they were able to help me upgrade my room.
- 3/5
The room was clean a cigarette whole in bed sheets smell like weed outside and people running around all night long
- 4/5
This hotel location we choose because we were planning to go to six flags and you can see it across the street. It ended up being closed the days we were there though. I would stay again in the future. We stayed in room 208. Room electric plugs need to be replaced. The top plug in every outlet your cord would fall out and couldnt use them. The room was great as far as size. We had three beds so it was great for us with two teenagers. The hair dryer was broken completely but still plugged in and very unsafe. I notified the front desk so hopefully they will replace it.
- 4/5
Breakfast was disappointing, basically just cereal. Front desk gentleman was very kind, but accent was a little hard to understand.
- 1/5
The room was absolutely disgusting. The floors (hard wood) were covered in dirt. It literally covered the bottom of my socks within a few minutes of being in the room. The bathroom was even worse. The bathtub was in-fact a jacuzzi tub as described in the listing but was coved in stains and dirt. The drain plug for the tub also didn’t work. Tried using the shower feature which worked fine if you like cold or almost warm showers. The bed had lots of hair and stains on it as well. The bed set was white so I wasn’t hard to see. Went to the front desk to inform them that someone obviously didn’t clean the room from the previous tenant. The front desk attendant said he was sorry but there wasn’t really anything they could do about it due to being booked up for the night. After a few minutes of us going back and forth to find a solution the attendant gave me a set of sheets (one fitted and one regular). He stated that they didn’t have any other blankets or comforters for us. He also said that he would talk to the manager about the situation and get me a refund for the room being as bad as it was. In the morning I was informed that the refund was only 15 percent of what I had paid for the room and said he wouldn’t give me anymore back because we stayed there n the room. We only stayed because after calling 10 other hotels in the area it was clear that everywhere was booked for the night due to an event in town and it being 12am we didn’t really have much option at that point.
- 5/5
Room was cleaned everyday.Staff very friendly. Great location. Right next to Six Flags. In walking distance to Globe Life field and AT&T stadium.
- 5/5
room was clean and staff was friendly
- 3/5
Beds were hard . Tub needed cleaning. Cleaner was soaked into the footstool. Pillows were flat
- 4/5
Great location. Facilities quite old but comfortable.
- 4/5
The only complaint this time was it seems the bathroom wasn’t swept. Otherwise the room was clean, plenty of linens and smelled good. Will stay again!
- 5/5
Nice front desk staff. Close to AT&T
- 5/5
The rooms were very clean
- 5/5
Love this hotel great staff great area walk wall to the Rangers globe life Field at&T stadium right across from Six Flags
- 3/5
Staff was very courteous but the room was not at all what I was expecting. The pictures are misleading, honestly.
- 5/5
Everything was the way it was described. It was quiet that is the main thing for me
- 5/5
Room was clean, place was quiet.
- 2/5
The room was uncomfortable. Bedding wouldnt stay on. Pillows were very thin. Molding coming off in the shower. We did find 2 small cockroaches. The breakfast they offer is cereal and prepacked honey buns. Oh and they didn't have cups for coffee. Walmart was 2 miles away. They could jave restocked but chose not to.

- 3/5
The room was dated with flooring that was cracked but clean. Pillows were so small and thin. Limited breakfast. Staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Clean quite
- 2/5
Bedding had burn holes and stains. Carpet had at least 5 spots where you could see damage from a hot iron. The toilet was not secured and when you sat down it would wobble. Floor under sink was dirty.
- 5/5
Property showed its age, but it was enjoyable. It was within walking distance to places to go, and the bathtub was great!
- 5/5
Accesible
- 5/5
Parking was safe we didn't use the pool
- 5/5
Perfect location, room was clean during check in staff very helpful
- 5/5
Staff is great, always quiet, right next to Stadiums and Six Flags
- 4/5
Room overall was pretty good for the price, it was a very hot day so I advise if you do plan on being out during the day make plans to go check into your room and lower the A/C down and high fan because our room did feel hot for a long time.
- 4/5
Perfectly located for ballgames or Siz Flags, and priced affordably, this was agood spot to spend the night in. Clean, comfy, and other than being placed on the 2nd floor when i requested a 1st floor room for mobility reasons (no elevator), it was great. We'd stay there again.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and convenient location
- 3/5
It’s a bit of an older property. If you’re looking for a quick place to stay it’s sufficient . The first room we received had the chain missing from the door but we were able to switch rooms. It wasn’t a terrible stay but probably wouldn’t stay again
- 5/5
Walk to six flags. Great location. Clean. Updated.
- 5/5
Good area, clean rooms
- 2/5
.
- 4/5
Overall it was a nice place to stay. Although we had issues with our ac and it wasn’t ever fixed so we had a bucket to catch the water that was leaking. Other than that minor issue everything was perfect.
- 2/5
The hotel has a lot junk stuck in corners. Boxes, laundry stuff all stored around the stairs. Makes it look trashy. Right across street from 6 flaggs. It's ok at Best.
- 5/5
If you're visiting six flags this is ideal. Clean and nicely appointed.
- 4/5
This was great location towall to six flags and Global life. Rooms were not very clean and walls are thin. Front desk was really nice and a few breakfast items.
- 4/5
Good, in front of six flags
- 3/5
Hotel honestly wasn't terrible but we requested a non-smoking room and when we entered the smell overwhelmed us. We aren't sure if it was from our room or the adjoining room but we did find a little something on our window seal that was missed by the cleaning crew.
- 5/5
We loved it. The kids felt like they were staying in a really high class with how much room we had and the bathroom was beautiful with the tub. Made it so nice for the little one. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel. It was amazing.
