It was very quiet and peaceful compared to other hotels I have stayed at❤️

Emergency came up and we didn’t make they would not let me reschedule or cancel. My card was charged for the room.

The room we got was horrible. The ceiling leaked. The bathroom door was off the hinge so it dragged the floor. The sink faucet was loose from the sink. The walls had chipped paint and when they painted the didn't care where the paint got, all around the lamps that were on the walls. Definatly didn't look like the pictures. Should have demanded another room. Will never stay there again.

What a rip off. From the moment you arrived the guys trying to get you to “upgrade your room at an additional $15.00 a night”. Room smelled like mildew 😡

Severe Bathroom & Hygiene Issues: The restroom was in awful condition. There was a broken, sharp porcelain tile on the floor, posing a clear safety hazard. That I cut my foot on. Worse, the pest control is non-existent—we had roaches crawling directly out of the bathtub and ants all over the walls. Dilapidated Room & Maintenance: The walls throughout the room are terribly maintained, filled with holes, and the carpet had a large hole in it. To top off the lack of upkeep, several light bulbs were completely missing from the lamps. Misleading Room Description: The room we received did not match what we paid for. The website description explicitly stated our selected room would feature a king-size bed, but we were given only a full-size bed and a small sofa. The utter lack of upkeep and false advertising made for a disturbing and miserable experience. I strongly advise potential guests to look elsewhere until management takes maintenance and cleanliness seriously.

The property smells so musty, a very beat up property. We asked for 6 towels total for the six people staying in the room and they said they ran out of towels. Terrible service. You get what you pay for I suppose!

The staff was friendly it was a last minute trip to the beach an we needed a place for the night.

Later, she called and told me we had been placed in the “ Deluxe” room, which was honestly concerning because I couldn’t imagine what the lower-tier rooms were like. The room itself was very small and outdated. The TV didn’t work or even turn on. As for cleanliness, I’d give it about a 6 out of 10. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible stay, but it definitely wasn’t somewhere I’d choose again unless it was a last resort. In fact, we ended up driving home on the last day instead of staying for our final night.

My day started quite positively. But it ended with harsh disrespect. I was charged $75 not only for the $25 deposit but $50 for accused stealing of towels. When I arrived on Friday, July 24, I had a full set of towels in the room. I showered Saturday morning and used the towels. I left for the day came back and housekeeping had only left half a set of towels Saturday evening, the 25th. Sunday’s housekeeping, I assume noticed the shortage of towels and accused me of stealing them and charged me $50. The manager never called me back the front desk said they were discuss it with the manager and I never received a call. I called twice explaining the situation. And I was still charged the $25 for incidentals and the $50 for the missing towels. I will never return to this hotel.

Everything... sheets were dirty had to buy my own sheets to use , room had a bad odor, saw roaches, ice machine had so much build up on it I wasn't sure if the ice was safe to use. The walls had stains. The a/c unit worked really well but had build up on it. Found mice dropping next to the bed... Lamp also had stains looking like mold right next to the bed. Staff was super friendly but after seeing the rooms i regretted every second booking this place... But no refund and thought it would be ok since I was just going to sleep there until I saw a roach on the lamp the second day after I came back. Wondered what it crawled on while we were gone and how many more where there

Nothing at all didn’t even stay ounce I seen the inside. Everything very disgusting and filthy.

This hotel is disgusting. The room we were given had bugs, toilet was cracked, tub was filthy, there was urine in the toilet like someone used it and didn’t flush, around the toilet in the floor was gross looked like it’s never been cleaned. We should know how gross it was going to be on how the curtains looked as you could see outside as they were filthy. Monica the front desk tried giving us another room but that was not better and even had a smell to it. Do yourself a favor and do not book this hotel.

Decent place for the value, floors are always handy and tubs always drain very slowly creating a swimming pool to shower in...

We booked a room with 3 double beds. The hotel room was kept in poor condition. Few of the outlets in the room worked. The chairs are covered in stains. There was about 1 inch gap under the hotel door. Honestly if everything around us hadn’t been booked we definitely would have left this hotel. The pictures online are VERY misleading.

The pictures on the website made the location look presentable but upon arrival it was totally the opposite. There were roaches and the bathroom had water leaks and smelt damp

Very poor maintenance in the room. Mattresses need to be changed and more pillows for the beds and towels. 3 beds and yet only 2 towels. Things got stolen from our suv while we slept. Last minute booking but won’t go back.

Biggest joke ever.

Yes, the room was not clean, food leftover from previous guests was in the fridge, dirty washrag in the tub, and it did not look like the pictures. I didn’t expect the best for the price but this was a pretty funky place.

Convenient Easy access

Our stay was okay, however I did notice 2 things missing when we came back from Rockport. I noticed my deodorant and my hair clip were missing. They are just material things but it's not respectful on behalf of the cleaning staff to take things that don't belong to them. Again it is just material things but that's not the point. I hope they enjoy my deodorant and my hair clip that was custom made. It was evident they needed it more than I did.

Got two separate rooms one with a king size bed room was average can't complain second room was a 2 queen bed room this one was a disaster old , dirty, toilet & shower was not functional toilet literally was loose from the floor in top of all this I got charge $25 deposit on each room in which I have not received no refund will definitely not recommend price is cheap but you will definitely regret not paying those extra 20 on another property

Me & my wife got so sick from the intense smell of mold mildew I dont think i will be staying there again . My friends sink was clogged and would overfill The smell and the floors were super sticky. Very bad experience for us

Verys nasty looking inside rooms very very dirty mood on pillows and blankets mood in shower floors walls all broken selfs all broken smells like mood the AC works good tvs were up to date that was the only thing good in the room I will never take my family there again my kids where all freaking out on the shower and THE room it's self my kids said mom wat the hack is this I felt so bad for my kids but I couldn't not get my money BK so I had to stay there no refunds if u pay online or any app no cancelation never again I will NOT NOT NOT 🚫 recommend anyone to stay there

Dead bugs on my nightstand. Creepy lady barging in the room. Neighbor moaning loud as hell at 2100. Bathroom so bad I ain’t even wanna get clean in it. Someone’s hair on da floor. Floor made my shoes make that squeaky noise. Cops were there. Fo of em.

The staff: super friendly and as helpful as they could be given the condition of this hotel. Bed and linens: Our bed had two pillows that seemed older than time itself, the stuffing barely supporting the weight of the pillow case. I asked for more pillows and they were only able to give us one more. The mattress was in the same state, needing to be replaced years ago. I could still smell previous guests in the "clean" linens and towels, so thank the gods Walmart was nearby for replacements. The room: The door had about a 2 inch gap of open air at the bottom, allowing the Texas heat to pour into the room without defense. The safety latch was present, but the part where the latch secures the door was not. The door itself took some finagling and serious muscle to open... I could hear our neighbors having the same issue. The roach: about a 3 inch cockroach introduced itself one morning and all staff could do was shrug their shoulders. The end: people are asking me about my beach trip and all I can tell them is, "don't go to the Pelican Inn."

Friendly staff , poor cleaning

It was filthy..pillow had horrible drool stains and were disgusting..the room had centipedes crawling around..we bought cleaning products to clean the floors. Tub and toilet...all other hotels were booked so we were stuck there.

The room (especially the bathroom) needed a deep cleaning. There was still long hair with dyed purple ends stuck to the wall of the shower. I do not have long purple hair. There was a half empty 2liter bottle of Dr. Pepper under the bed. The walls, doors, trim, mirror, and tile around and behind the toilet were all filthy. The shower cutain has that red filmy mildew in the hem at the bottom.Clearly has not been scrubbed or cleaned at all in easily weeks. That kind of dirt and crud does not accumulate in a couple days. Even the lampshade was filthy, covered in dust with dirt or mildew spots. There were also no towels in the room, i had to go to the office and request them. It makes me question whether the room was actually cleaned before they checked us in or if they just made the bed. We checked in on a sunday night. They were not busy at all. The staff was friendly, but the rooms need a deep cleaning.

Pictures ARE deceiving. The only thing that helped was the front desk lady was the sweetest person ever. Can definitely use some renovations.

Small, musty room with mold on the floor by the mini fridge, by the sink, around the mirror. Bed linens, shower curtain, and towels all stained. The AC created more noise than cold air. The office staff was friendly but we won’t be returning.

it was very nasty, the walls were mushy if that makes any sense, there were holes in the bathroom looks like some kind of animal chewed threw the wall there was holes in the wall the fridge had mold in it, the roof was sinking in the light was shining in under the door, the bathroom door dragged, we just had walked in and all that hit you was a nasty mold smell and there was 4 things plugged into one extension cord the ac, the fridge, the lamp, and the microwave that is a fire hazard

Staff was friendly There was mold and water damage all over the room. Clearly it has not been updated since hurricane Harvey.

Check in and check out was pretty quick. The front desk staff were very friendly. When we got into our room, it smelled like nothing but mold after inspecting the room we found there was mold in the refrigerator in the restroom, and the AC was full of it. We had to go to the store and buy bleach and disinfectant before we could even sleep in the room. We were bit by something. I don’t know if it was fleas or bedbugs. There was no toilet paper or any type of towel towels. The sheets were very stained.

Good place to sleep 6 people in a room

By far the worst place I've ever stayed. The room was filthy, and I found roaches inside. There was a two-inch gap under the door that made it easy for bugs and outside air to come in. I also found old food left in the drawers, and the room had a musty, moldy smell that was impossible to ignore. To make matters worse, there were exposed electrical outlets that were rusted, damaged, and looked like a serious safety hazard. It felt like basic maintenance and cleanliness had been ignored for a long time. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you're looking for a clean, safe place to stay, keep driving and spend your money somewhere else. This place is a absolute joke. Expedia it’s a shame you even have this place on here!

Room was ok. Cleaning was not at wife’s level but after a quick run to HEB, and after a mop, fabuloso, dawn dish soap and some Lysol the tub was back white, toilet looked new, smelled fresh and floor was no longer greasy. Other than that paint looked newer and beds were comfortable for the quick stop. Not a bad place to stop in for work, but not the vacation spot. Overall was ok for the quick stop.

There was a piece of kids clothing hanging over the bathroom door and hair on the bathroom tub and floor, but beds were clean and wifi was iffy. The staff was nice though😅😅 OH and ants in the bathroom sink if I rinsed my kids cups out in it.

Even with low rates you would expect cleanses . The exterior was presentable We were going to stay a few hours to rest before a fishing trip . Checking in we were assigned a room and it was horrible roaches around we killed a few for them and walked out . Very unsanitary I wouldn’t recommend. Staff asked about relocating but I denied . We were better off leaving . I told staff we’re better sleeping in our vehicle . Non refundable of course please use that for at least DIY pest control

The door had a huge gap at the bottom so I used their towels to close it off The plumbing just sits in the tub and sink and takes a while to go down Only good thing I can say is the propriety is quiet

Maid service only left fresh towels the 1st morning. Didn't make the bed up. The fridge is broken, doesn't cool at all. And the tub was very slick and couldn't take a good shower. Also shower curtain doesn't keep water from getting on the floor.

nothing at all like it was described in the description, couldn't go inside to check in I had to check in through a window outside,the office was pretty much closed my entire stay, had to pay a $50 deposit that I still haven't got back , lady at the desk said it takes 48 hours so we will see, don't understand what the deposit was for the room I stayed in needed a lot of tlc, says free wifi but there was no wifi, the room was very unclean, bathtub needs to be bleached had to buy cleaner to clean before I would take a shower, under the bed looked like it hadn't been swept or mopped in months, mini fridge definitely hadn't been cleaned in a while, I had no choice but to stay there because I couldn't afford to pay for another hotel room because they wouldn't let me cancel my stay and get my money back, this hotel was not worth the money they charged me to stay there, not to mention people were up outside partying until 4 am being loud and the hotel staff allowed it

The room was NASTY roach poop on the bed and live roach on one the bed. Roach poop all over the room. Pictures are deceiving. That’s why I booked it but was very disappointed. I would not recommend anyone to stay there. Tub was clogged, rusty and the employee asked if we wanted a plunger. What the heck that not our job. Wished we could get out money back.

Absolutely disgusting mold infested bathroom , mysterious stains everywhere, putrid smell, cigarette burns on bed sheets , staff lied . I was shown 3 separate rooms and they were all putrid

For starters, the whole office building is on lock up. You can't go inside. The workers are not friendly. They rip you off with expensive taxes and deposits even after you already paid. They say you will get refunded on your card for deposits but then totally rip you off. The room smells bad, the sheets have cigarette burns and stains. There's no where to hang your clothes. No drawers. No office access. No grass for the dogs. There's a tiny square that is full of fish guts and trash. The parking and hotel access is horrendous. Oh, and dont sit on the couches in the delux rooms. They are disgusting.

Got to hotel and they were qui k to take my card to charge. They said I could see room until I payed. After getting my key I immediately saw how dirty it was, I inspected the beds and the sheets were all stained and they had bugs. I immediately went to the front desk and cancelled my reservation. They said they couldnt do anything until Monday since it was on a Saturday.that I had to contact Expedia. So I had to go and spend more money on another hotel! Worst experience ever!

Thought we would stay to get a quick vacation in. Everything was dirty and gross. Toilet was cracked. Tub/shower was dirty and poorly maintained. We had 6 people staying and they gave us 2 towels to bathe with. When asked for more they took our used ones and only gave 2 more. Internet was terrible. Don’t say free wifi if it doesn’t even work. Everything didn’t seem clean. Definitely don’t stay here. Now I know why it was on the lower price. Very noisy. Cheap everything. Window blinds were terrible. Expect not to sleep with the bright outside lights shinning in. Save your money and go somewhere else. Definitely will be telling everyone not to stay.

I will NEVER stay here again. I have never taken a shower with my shoes on but I did here. I had to clean before we could even go to bed. Killed a cockroach on the wall. And the safety lock on the door did NOT secure the door. Only 2 outlets worked 1 light out of the 3 worked. Expedia you should NOT have this one listed. I have never been so disappointed and it makes me very nervous about future trips and using your site. Staff was friendly that is all I can say nice about this place.

The online pictures are extremely misleading. The property is in very poor condition. The rooms are basically a bed in a room. They shove 3 full size beds into a small efficacy size room side by side, the television is rigged wired to the wall. Wires exposed on wall lamps, Bathroom was horrendous and towels were stained yellow. Ur not given the option to NOT have cleaning service.so i would not recommend leaving ANY expensive items in the room. I did not complete my stay there and checked out immediately. I WILL NEVER stay here again.

Front desk rep was kind and courtious. BUT the rating for the tidiness of the room was extremely dirty. Left over water bottles on the side of bed, blood stains on the wall. The walls were stained with dark liquid, the restroom has roaches. You can tell there was no dusting or wiping during turn overs. When I checked out, I heard the front desk rep tell the cleaning lady " you need to clean the rooms correctly and not just make the beds. I have had several complaints about our rooms." Whether the cleaning lady will listen and do a better job, I highly doubt that.

Definitely not as seen in the advertising pictures. Outlets didn’t work, light switch coverings in the bathroom were missing, tile was falling from the baseboards. The bolt for the lock was broken, shower head was crusted over. Not child safe or sanitary

This place was beyond disgusting. Completely unsafe and the rooms are mold infested and stink to high heaven. The mattress had huge nasty stains as well as the bedding. After taking one look at the room I was offered a different room which not surprising, was just as bad. I was kind and politely explained I could not stay here however was told the manager on duty was not able to refund me and I would have to call back the next morning to talk to the owner who conveniently has not been available. This building should be condemned and they should DEFINITELY not be renting rooms.

It was very relaxing and chill. All the people at the hotel; office, housekeepers, other guest were very friendly and helpful!!

I recently booked 2 hotel rooms and when I got to the location it was not what l expected from the booking. I immediately went and complained about the rooms and demanded that I get my money back. The rooms were very dirty/ filthy and was not what they have posted in the booking app.

Horrible place to stay, I was half tempted to sleep in my car. Bathroom shower was broke and the tub was so gross I felt like I would have been dirtier after bathing. The entry door had large gaps the sunlight lit up the room from it.

You get what you pay for but I expected a little better based on the pictures. The pillows were badly stained and mildewed. I dont think the bathroom door has ever been wiped down. Its iffy if the shower curtain has been washed. The walls had weird stains on them here and there that could most likely be cleaned off. We had half a roll of toilet paper and 3 towels for a 6 person room. There was only the small trash can in the bathroom. The sink poured water out from underneath when running water in the bathroom. The lock on the front door was broke. The room was not ready when we showed up at 3:30 and we were told to come back in an hr. This place could be decent if they did some upkeep. The front desk person was extremely nice and thats the only real positive thing about this stay. Also its not very sound proof, we got woke up at 3am to very loud people. I turned on sleep sounds on my phone and the kids went back to sleep.

Pillow cases were dirty, fridge was dirty and didn’t work, room looks nothing like the pictures.

The room stinked/stank through my nine day stay. Even freshener i bought did no good. I think it was the air unit. Refuse room 103. Staff went in to spray something and I went in to make sure they didn't squirt their water bottle all over my belongings. It never helped. There was obvious signs of mold in areas. Shower floor was lumpy and dangerous of slipping. Microwave was deteriorated enough that city health department would've sht a brick if there exists a health department in the city. Door had huge cracks in it, wall plugs didn't work (Recommend bringing an extension cord and power strip). There is no place to hang your clothes. There's no breakfast, coffee, nothing. No daily cleaning. The pluses is, the water is drinkable, bed is comfortable and bedding is clean. Floors require flip flops. I don't think it's worth the cost in an area that has nothing in shopping and dining. This is a city area that needs vast improvements and better city management because it's in a beautiful area.

We have come to this hotel a couple of times and the beds are always comfy and the AC blows out cold air which we love...The staff is great and we will be coming back again...

It’s not terrible for the price and amount of people one room sleeps just minor things that make it not so clean. There was a bag of trash out side the door of the room and the windows looked stained with brown stuff.

Roaches in room, fridge melted ice everywhere and room service skipped our hotel and then told us we are not able to receive more towels. We had to go down there twice.

Rooms were poorly cleaned granted you get what you pay for but that doesn’t mean the sheets , towels and bathroom have to be filthy. And the staff could barely give you the time of day even when you are being friendly .
