Our room had built in soap dispensers that were empty. The soap dispenser by the sink was broke so we had no way of actually washing our hands. The room needed to be painted there was holes patched and not painted. The bathtub could have used some cleaning as well it had a grey tint to it. The only thing I would give a five on is their staff was super nice when checking in.

When we asked for extra towels they brought soil stained towels that looked like rags I would throw out. They seemed bothered we asked for extra towels. The mouldings around the room were badly damaged, unkept, missing in places and we also discovered holes in the wall behind the bathroom door. Hair dryer did not work. I will never stay at this dump again.

When we first walked into our room there were so many flies in the window along with cobwebs, we killed 16 and there were still more. I went to the office for some sort of insect killer and was told they had none. I went out and bought my own. The towels in the room were well worn, gray dingy, 2 towels were stained with dirt and black grease, I had taken them to the front desk during checkout. We were in one of the newly renovated rooms. If the housekeepers take no pride in their responsibilities newly renovated means nothing. I will take an older clean room anytime.

This hotel is used to house welfare and disadvantage recipients. It is NOT a hotel for travelers. The room had chipped paint, items in the room from a previous visitor, and bugs in the bathroom. Notwithstanding the fact that a fire broke out from a room in the back of the hotel. This hotel either needs a complete gut renovation in order for travelers to stay, or it needs to be taken off of Expedia as a feasible hotel.

I’ve stayed there twice now, the first I picked it simply due to closeness to the airport and UNLV Campus. The second because it was such a great place close to everything. First stay was a weekend the second was a 12 day stay. Both times very happy with breakfast, the rooms were comfy and clean. It’s super close to the airport so I worried about noise but hardly heard anything. Great value for the location, close to the strip and campus, ease of transportation both buses and quick Uber pickup. Not super fancy but clean, comfortable, and convenient!

I did NOT like anything about this property. It was filthy and shouldn’t be on anyone’s list of places to stay. I believe it is primarily an extended stay motel for traveling or migrant workers. I’ve never seen such a filthy hotel listed by Expedia. Very disappointing. I feel I should receive a full refund because I left and went to another hotel in town for the night where I could feel safe and enjoy a clean room.

The property was supposed to be renovated. Yes there was new furniture. But the bathroom had dirt hanging from vent and had been painted over. The base of toilet and shower were yellow/ orange - not clean. There was painting projects incomplete and pipes sticking out of the wall in living area At breakfast the waffle irons were so greasy/ hasn’t been cleaned in weeks and weeks - didn’t want to use to make food to eat. I tried to leave when I saw the condition of the room - no refunds. The only choice was to go to a room that was even worse. Filthy. Don’t stay here. Expedia should be ashamed The hotel said my only recourse was with Expedia. . Don’t stay here. Do not believe Properties advertised as “renovated.” Hopefully Expedia will contact me. I have photos.

The motel is old and desperately in need of major renovations. The amenities are poor as well. The bathroom towels are thread bare and stained. I've never seen smaller bars of soap. The coffee maker was missing the basket. The breakfast was rather minimal, and of all things, they don't have artificial sweetener for the coffee - only sugar. We stayed here twice - once on our way to Colorado and again on the way back. The only reason we stayed a second time was because I had paid for the room in advance with no refund. We picked this hotel based on our past experiences of staying at La Quinta hotels. This experience makes me question using La Quinta in the future in situations where I am not familiar the particular hotel. There is no comparison between this dump and the beautiful La Quinta in Athens, AL.

Unfortunately, the room was a disaster. Toilet and bathtub were as stained as if it hadn’t been cleaned in two years (I took pics). Room was smelly, had broken/un repaired closets, blankets were smelly and stained. We don’t really mind staying at old building hotels, but dirt is a actually a healthy/safety issue. We can’t calculate how much bacteria and microbes were hidden there. Finally, there were at least 5 cockroaches that we were able to see, and God knows how many more we didn’t see!

We booked two rooms, one for my wife and myself, one for our adult son. The floors and the coffee maker tray were dirty in ours, there was an obvious water leak in our bathroom; a piece of the baseboard was loose, black mold covered the wall behind it. The towels and sheets were threadbare; towels could have used a good bleaching. Our son’s room did not have a coffee maker or hangers in his closet. He was awakened by a couple who unlocked the door to his room at 1:15 am. We’re debating whether we want to go through the same nightmare on our return trip, since we’re booked on a non-refundable basis. Shame on Wyndham for attaching its name to such a dump!

To start off when we arrived are room was not clean and we had to wait for another room. Inside the room it smelled horrible. I had to clean the filters inside the air conditioner and that didn't really help. Honestly the smell came back. Inside the bathroom...where do I start, the fan didn't work even though there was a vent that was covered in dust. The ceiling had mold, the toilet stopped working 3 times before my husband actually fixed it himself. The shower and the tub both ran at the same time. The sink faucet water came out violently which cause water to get on anything on the counter. The leg on the table was broke and that made the table wabble out of control. The managers all have poor attitudes. The staff outside of them where cool. The grounds the parking lot is completely filthy. The garbage can remained full the entire time we stayed which was 5 nights. I had to leave the garbage along with the other garbage that the other tenants left right outside the building and it smelled horrible...and the birds got there pick at it so good for them. I did not even try the breakfast. It was not even appeasing to the eye.

We needed a place to lay our head for a few hours and decided on a no frills spot. The entire hotel need to be updated. The room was just ok. Nothing special but the bathroom needed lots of work. The towels had brown stains on them and when we requested more they were ok. Old and worn, but ok. The thing that really irritated us is we were getting our things ready to head out early, and someone with a key came in our room without knocking or announcing themselves. Completely unacceptable! If I'm ever in Amarillo again, I definitely would never stay here again!!

The next morning, we went for breakfast across the parking lot. So, we left our luggage in the room before checking out. We returned a couple of minutes after 10:00 and were already locked out of our room even though check out was not until 11:00. I walked across the parking lot to get the room opened. I was questioned why I needed access to the room. After gaining access we loaded our luggage and were about to leave, we realized we had forgotten one item. Unfortunately we had to talk with the extremely rude front desk person. We were very loudly yelled at for inconveniencing him to come open the door. Along with some other colorful profanities. This all happened in front of our kid. Mind you we did not address or escalate his anger. We calmly waited for him to open the door. I would never recommend this place to my worst enemies.

This building is horrible. Half of the room face a dumpster with homeless and people screaming. The building should be torn down. The room had cob webs, 4 flies I had to kill, bathtub was peeling paint, dirty drapes that were half hanging, filthy stained chair. I ripped off the bed spread to sleep on the sheets with my clothes on. I got there at 11 pm and left at 7 am. Sliver of soap the thickness of a dime and size of a quarter or less. No place to walk a dog, parking full, storage containers are using half of the parking. Keep driving- this was nasty.

The shower had film on the floor and rust around the drain. The shower head was for someone very very short. They had tried to cover a huge hole on the bottom of the wall in the bathroom. It looks like mold is a problem. The stairs to the second level were very uneven. One cement step had been replaced with wood. The breakfast had very little choices. No orange juice, the container for it sat empty. Just waffles, white toast, or cereal. They did have eggs and tater tots. No apples or yogurt available like most other hotels. Drapes had holes in them. Lobby was clean and the beds were clean. I would not pay what I did for this hotel! I hope this company seriously looks at a real remodel for this hotel!

The bed liner was ripped, the floors were dirty, the restroom was dirty the shower looked as if it hasn't been cleaned in a VERY long time. It smelt disgusting in that room. There was some hard metal faucet looking things coming out of the wall, very dangerous if a person fell near them and hit themselves. Specs of paint on the floor, paint on the curtains. The WORST experience. And to add that kids were supposed to stay for free but when I added them it went up $300. The location. The mess. The general upkeep. The access to second floor. The 2 queen beds when I booked a king.

Easy access off the I40 EVERYTHING. Rooms are absolutely filthy. Stains on mattresses, couches and sheets. Floors were sticky and dirty. Shower was dirty. Broken glass all over outside stairs. Sketchy people everywhere.

This is without a doubt the most disappointing La Quinta we’ve ever experienced and we have stayed in La Quinta several times due to their lower pet fee. I am seriously considering ending my Hotels.com account because we feel we cannot trust their services. If they will list this horror they are listing others and how would you know from the pics provided.

Below average condition, Need to fix up a lot , TV/ mini fridge do not work, tables and chair in the room are dusty. No soap / shampoo, have to come down to ask for it. The room is not worth $120/ night .

Breakfast was underwhelming. Eggs and breakfast meats ran out really quickly. But otherwise it was functional. It did what it was supposed to do.

This is a “you get what you pay for property”. The staff was very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The property and rooms need work, but for a place to sleep for a night and not spend a lot of money, it was worth it.

Most Disgusting place we've ever stayed! We showed up at 2:50pm amd asked if we could check in early and they said no, had to wait for 10 minutes... seemed strange but I guess rules are rules. The room was in terrible condition, the flooring they put in is really nice but was very dirty, the rubber baseboard they put up did not cover the damage done to the walls, the curtain in the main room has pinholes in it and the bottom corner was torn. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting... tub stained so badly I dont think it could be cleaned, the toilet was very hard to flush. We left without showering... the comforter had a blood stain on it, picture attached... Very disappointed, used to enjoy staying at La Quintas but not so much now.

The listing photos showed a modern, updated room with renovated furnishings, upgraded bathrooms, contemporary décor, and an overall clean, professional appearance. Upon arrival, I was placed in a room that appeared significantly older and outdated. The furniture, bathroom, closet area, and overall condition were completely different from what was represented online. The property itself also appeared poorly maintained and gave a very different impression than the listing photos. As a traveler booking last minute with two children, I relied heavily on the accuracy of the photos provided. Had the actual condition of the room and property been accurately represented, I would have chosen another hotel. I feel that the listing was misleading and did not accurately reflect the accommodations I received. The difference between the advertised room and the actual room was substantial enough that it affected my stay and overall experience. Because the room provided was materially different from the room presented on Hotels.com, I am requesting compensation and a partial refund for this stay.

This hotel should not be in business. It was the dirtiest room that we had ever seen. Smoke detector was missing off the wall, cigarette burns on the edge of the bathtub, a faucet that squirted straight up in the air. The floors were extremely dirty. breakfast was empty within the first hour and not replenished walls are not painted and damaged.

This is the most disgusting, filthy, run down hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The floors, walls, and bedding was absolutely filthy. The sink had fallen from the bathroom vanity and there was a 2” gap where you couldn’t even turn the water on without the water going on the floor. Big ole clumps of hair all over the shower walls. Checked in carried all luggage to room to stay 2 nights and as soon as I saw how dirty the room was went to check right back out and they wouldn’t refund me the $305 spent to book for 2 nights. Please see pictures and they don’t even show the extremes of how dirty this place is. La Quinta should be ashamed of this location and having their name attached to it. Stayers beware of this one!!!!

This is not what I would call a typical La Quinta property. Looks like they might be getting ready to refurbish it by all of the container boxes in the small parking lot. Our bathroom has serious stains in the bottom of the tub (huge orange) The duvet covers both had lots of stains. No garbage can in the room or the bathroom?!! The bathroom did not have a fan for showering or other things. The lighting for the sink area was more like mood lighting. Outside the cement stairs were decrepit and some had even been replaced with wooden steps that were at different heights!!! Just a NOT for La Quinta don’t stay here if you can afford it. The pictures are not from this place.

Omg, worse hotel ever! The room was completely filthy, the sheets and comforter were stained with God knows what! The closest was unusable, the pole was broken! The bathtub was stained and rusted, had to stand on a towel to take a shower! The shower curtain was from the ‘80s and hadn’t been changed since then, was moldy and disgusting! Do not waste your money and stay there, never again LaQuinta 😡

I've stayed in impoverished countries abroad and this place is disgusting. I asked to be transferred or a refund and no compensation or transfer to the other LaQuintas in Amarillo. I have pictures and Jay the desk manager and Laquinta cust service refused help. I called Amarillo city inspectors over pools and inspections and let them know the pool wax like dirty toilet water w no chemicals at proper levels and unsafe to swim in and super cloudy and milky looking. It was so bad I left a day early and will never stay at LaQuinta again and Jay at the front desk was rude and was like tough luck, deal w it so I am. They offered services but made no effort to have adequate staff. Even soap dispensers for showers empty. Don't ever go.

Stay away from this hotel! It looks NOTHING like the pictures and it’s in a bad area! I booked it while we were on the road just to sleep a couple of hours because it looked decent but once we arrived we were shocked! We were hauling another vehicle and they had shipping containers on the whole side parking spots so there was no where for us to park. When I went to check in I let them know and if they could just cancel it so I could go look else where and the manager pretended he would help. He made me wait an hour just to offer for us to park behind the Waffle House. I let him know I was not comfortable with that and he just said he couldn’t cancel it. Customer Service with Hotels.com tried to get it refunded but the hotel again did not approve it because “the parking was not far”. The area is very sketchy and we should not have to park our vehicles in a different property! We never checked in or even saw the room, but from the looks of the outside, they were probably just as bad on the inside! The front desk girl was very helpful and tried to assist the best she could, it was the manager who was the issue!

Building and grounds were in need of minor repairs due to age and use. Room was recently remodeled. There were two refrigerators in the room. One was a regular size for home use the other was the smaller version found in motel rooms. Some of the plumbing was exposed in the living area probably due to remodel. The room was quiet and comfortable. Price was fair.
