Reviews
The hotel is generally perceived as a budget-friendly option with clean rooms and decent breakfast. However, there are concerns about the maintenance and cleanliness of certain rooms, and some guests have reported issues with electrical outlets and sockets.

For everyone’s safety, I strongly recommend finding another place to stay until the issue has been professionally inspected and completely resolved. Please do not risk bringing the bed bugs with you, as they can easily spread to your luggage, clothing, and personal belongings and become very difficult to eliminate.

Good location Very basic room
- 2/5
The hotel and room filthy, very bad smelling. Sheets were very old and have dirt marks. Chair in the room was dirty and had stains on it. Doors to premises were not working with the room keys so they were left open without any security. I was surprised this hotel is in Wyndham chain and that much expensive. Not recommended.

I got an accessible room. It stunk was filthy and the board I mean bed was horrible. I did not realize that the rooms did not have their own entrance, this makes it so much harder for me and not really accessible the handicapped parking spots are way away from the rooms. No staff offered to help me they were busy standing at the counter talking. But one told me if I looked at the website better I’d know there was no outside access. Then in the morning when I was leaving they made me go out thru the lobby I couldn’t use the door closest to my car. I’m disabled and walk with a walker falling is a problem. That staff is clueless. Worse place I’ve ever stayed.
- 4/5
Breakfast wasn’t available
- 3/5
We stopped here after traveling all day and needed a place to rest. The staff were very nice however the room we were in had a VERY strong urine smell and I attribute that to the old carpet in the room- perhaps an animal previously stayed in our room?. The bedding was VERY thin as well so it was a pretty chilly sleeping experience and the tv did not work. Overall, it served its purpose ( a place to rest our head for a few hours) but I would recommend staying for more than a few hours to a day.

Positive reviews on Expedia will make you question the validity and trustworthiness of reviews. This place was labeled as "family friendly" and it is right next to an adult lingerie shop complete with the homeless encampment on the side. There is a huge billboard out front (not the hotel's billboard) advertising an adult sex toy shop in the area. The area looks sketchy. You would be better to go 2 miles down the road. The room was dated, the mini fridge DID NOT work. I told the guy at the front desk and he shrugged his shoulders. There is a vacant and boarded up building next door. The "secured" door on the side is broke, so anyone can walk in at any time. The hotel has that musty old hotel smell. When I checked in, I noticed that there is seating for about 12 people in the breakfast area. The parking lot was packed and I asked if there was enough room for guests at breakfast and the clerk said it wasn't an issue because "most people don't eat here." Breakfast is waffles shaped like Texas (if you feel like messing w the waffle iron), cold cereal, coffee, yogurt and bread. For the same price you could get a better location with an eggs and sausage breakfast. I will say that the AC in the room worked wonderfully. If you are a single guy just looking for a place to crash and then move on, this place is a bit of a dive, but would work. If you are a family w kids, you would do better to move down the road.

It's an older hotel, had a handicap room, the carpet seemed a little threadbare and the toilet rocked, seemed clean. Did not stay for breakfast.
- 4/5
Good basic breakfast . Clean rooms . Good for a quick night halt

NO hot water at hotel with no notification before arrival. Left scrambling to cancel booking and find new booking. Office staff not helpful with process.

The rooms were supposed to be non smoking and both smelled like smoke. The women in the other room had to leave and get another room at another hotel. So in turn we payed double. No one even stayed in one of the rooms I paid for. I told the lady at the front desk and all she could say was all the rooms were non smoking.
- 1/5
In my room, I found several cockroaches, and the mattress was extremely hard. There was also a group of people smoking right outside my door, and it sounded like people were running around in the room above mine.

- 4/5
Place seems to have been recently renovated and looks new. Bed was not good, very uncomfortable.
- 4/5
Overall stay was good. Room was very clean and spacious. AC worked great. Hallways were really warm, though. Free breakfast was provided right at 6:00am and had several options to choose from. Address listed was incorrect. Sent to wrong Super 8, Super 8 West instead of East.
- 2/5
Woke up to cockroach on the wall . Would not recommend
- 5/5
Nice place
- 4/5
Quiet rooms.
- 3/5
Better than the other two super hotels I’ve stayed in
- 5/5
Breakfast variety of bread, cereal, apples, juice, coffee, make your own waffles, yogurt. No eggs or meat.
- 5/5
Had a late check in but was greated by friendly staff upon arrival. Rooms were clean and quiet. Looked to have a decent breakfast selection before checkout departure but did not partake as I was in hurry.
- 4/5
Large area to walk the dog. TV was broken but viewable and needs replacement. Parking area is rough. Room was adequate.
- 2/5
The property does not have an elevator, the room had an old musty odor, there was no running hot water and the restroom lights were not working. We needed a room to rest and refresh before getting on the road again…this place did not meet our needs.
- 4/5
it was in an unusual location on a one-way street, which made it harder for a stranger to get around. i wasn't used to driving in amarillo, so it took me awhile to figure out how to get to local eateries. in general, room was comfortable, and the fridge and micro made it easy to stay in and eat.
- 4/5
Nice
- 4/5
For one night was okay.
- 5/5
Very safe and quiet. Friendly & helpful staff, nice breakfast good coffee with half & half! 😁 Will definitely make this stop again!
- 3/5
We felt unsafe here. Bed was hard. Room had a bad smell. Breakfast wasn’t much.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Helpful with dining recommendations. Room was very clean and neat
- 2/5
The entire property was run down and in need of repair, wall paper torn in the room and stained carpet. There was a distinctly unpleasant smell in the halls and room. The website advertised a room with two queen beds which were actually full sized beds. The wifi did not work and no one picked up when we called the front desk. I would NEVER Stay at this hotel again.
- 3/5
Property is not well maintained
- 5/5
Nice stay, room was clean, staff was nice, free breakfast was good.
- 2/5
There is an abandoned building next to this property, there is a need for some renovation, and cameras pointing towards all parking lots would be safe , my car was hit overnight and no video was found because of the lack of cameras. Would not recommend staying there until some maintenance is done to the building
- 5/5
環境很好,服務很棒的!我會再住在這裏的。

Yes i like
- 5/5
Very nice hotel for Piece
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 5/5
If you are looking for a clean room and a comfortable bed while traveling this is a great option. So the property is older and looks questionable. Do not judge the book by the cover. The room was clean, ac worked, the light fixtures are outdated, but no big issues. Great travel option.
- 4/5
This is a typical budget hotel. It could have been taken care of a bit better, but it was good for the price and the comfort. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
It’s worth in the price.
- 4/5
Nicely refurbished, very clean, decent breakfast.
- 5/5
Excellent value for what you paid for.
- 5/5
The electrical socket in room 111 was not secured which is fire hazard. I would recommend repairs and checking the sockets in every room
- 3/5
Lack of electrical outlets near the bed was an issue
- 2/5
Wasn't really impressed had to pay to have my service animal in the room with us ac wouldn't stay on blankets were uncomfortable and the beds were surely not a queens size as both me and my boyfriend couldn't fit on one bed
- 4/5
Not enough parking.
- 5/5
Cheap and clean.
- 2/5
The exterior and interior need updating. The cleaning in the restroom was half way done. The pictures were deceiving. Luckily, I just needed to sleep and go. I do not recommend for long stays unless you’re on a tight budget.
- 1/5
Other than 1970s look, street people all around the building constantly. Garbage in the parking lot. The staff of Super 8, one person decided not to serve breakfast becuse, "her words" not many people stayed the night before. Absolutely wouldn't recommend or stay there again!
- 4/5
It was okay in a pinch.
- 4/5
Good value rooms, in a quiet neighborhood . A variety of local restaurants to choose from. Helpful staff.
- 1/5
The bad thing about the hotel the smell was awful walking in the room was horrible it smells like the carpets we're wet underneath
- 4/5
Otherwise the place was good
- 5/5
Check in was good. The rooms were warm and clean. Would use again.
- 5/5
Awesome
- 3/5
Room decor was great, all the extra touches made me grin. The Air conditioner was noisy and smelled nasty. The bed was very uncomfortable - the picture in the ad online ad consequently is false advertising!
- 3/5
Towels were dry and scratchy, no amenities were offered other than soap.
- 5/5
Young lady who helped me at front desk on friday nd Saturday evening friendly and was quick
- 4/5
Room was nice, great price, bed was comfy. Only reason didn’t get 5 stars all the way around was because when I tried to take a shower I couldn’t get the water adjusted. Either extremely hot or Luke warm. So took a bath. The check in was easy, staff friendly. I would definitely stay there again.
- 2/5
The property is run down, littered with trash all over the property, and the rooms aren’t cleaned well. My room had layers of dust piled on fixtures. The TV had a child lock on it so hardly any channels worked. The bed was like sleeping on old springs on concrete. The breakfast in the morning was non existent, though they advertise a breakfast. I will never stay at this hotel again and encourage anyone looking at it to stay elsewhere.
- 5/5
Very nice room. I stayed here last week as well. The facility is clean and neat. The staff is very nice.
- 5/5
This property is fine. The one next door is a little questionable.
- 2/5
The Exterior and parking lot are filthy. In the room the Metal furniture is battered. And the breakfast offered is absolute crap. The Hand written out of order signs should have been a warning
- 5/5
Nicely updated with new comforters and carpet. Safe feeling. Nice staff.
- 3/5
You get what you pay for. Difficult to access. Creepy area
- 2/5
Staff was nice but that was about it. Our room smelled like pizza (or more specifically Parmesan) and it never went away. There was a spring from the mattress that poked me in the ribs while I was sleeping. There was a thermostat on the wall that didn’t control anything? We had to use the controls on the unit itself which isn’t THAT big of a deal but what was the thermostat for? It just kept saying the battery needed to be replaced? Also the parking lot was a little sketchy as the place next door was all bordered up.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable room.
- 5/5
Beautiful place to stay
- 1/5
The room itself was good. But immediately when we got in the room there was a huge cockroach. We thought ok that can happen, but then in the morning there was more. I told the lady at the front desk. I was nice and said, you might want to humigate the room. No apology or nothing!! Just ok, and kept talking on her cell phone. I thonk that is what made me the angry. Up until that poin i was understanding. But after that is when i decided to put this review up
- 5/5
Nice clean
- 5/5
Staff was amazing rooms were clean ice machines worked. Breakfast was okay. Waffles and cereals, coffee could have been a little bit better. Overall great experience
- 5/5
Everything was amazing and great
- 2/5
Just dirty as all get out.. smells like bad mold on sheets.. beds was super uncomfortable.. breakfast was awful only had few things to choose from.. the apple juice tasted horrible.
- 3/5
Bed was comfortable. Staff friendly . The bathroom fan sounded like it was falling apart, the TV remote needed new batteries and some of the light bulbs were blown out.
- 3/5
Staff was friendly. Our room was disappointing. The furniture was mismatched and the bathroom needed to be upgraded. There was a round toilet seat on an oblong toilet. Also the controls for the shower did not work properly.
- 2/5
My car was broken into at 4am. I was robbed of some personal items. Very frustrating!
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Hotel is very nice. The fan in the bathroom is a bit loud, but doable. Nice and quiet.
- 3/5
The room was clean and check in was quick which was nice since we arrived late. There were signs indicating the property was under renovation. Our mattress was well worn with sagging in the middle.
- 1/5
It was extremely noisy with gaps under doors.
- 4/5
Decent room but the beds are not good.
- 5/5
Facility was being renovated which was fine. Key card was needed to enter the outside entrances and the room. It was secured but what I had a problem with, was the entrance into the office entry from the rooms hallway, was locked. It required you to push an unmarked doorbell to gain entry, or, exit the building and enter through the office front entry. Maybe it was a high crime rate area but I'm only speculating. Parking area was extremely well lit up at night.
- 3/5
Tub/shower needs repair, curtains were broken and breakfast options pretty sad.
- 5/5
The stay was very comfortable and clean. the front office staff was amazing. The site is in the process of renovations but it was a very comfortable room. The manager came helped me with my tv issues.
- 2/5
The room was spacious but poorly arranged. The bathroom door should have been hinged on the other side. The curved shower rod would have been a nice touch if it had been placed properly (door was in the way). The toilet was very close to the wall and the paper roller was so close I had to sit cockeyed. There was a couch! Good thing, because I slept on that, the mattress was so bad. Putting a pad on the mattress will keep it cleaner but won't make it more comfortable. The tub needs to be SCRUBBED, not just sprayed with cleaner. I could see the rivulet marks from the cleaner running down the wall. The people were friendly!
- 4/5
Very surprised at how nice and roomy the rooms are! They’re renovating and ours was nice and clean and the bed was comfy!
- 3/5
In a renovations. Thewood floors were sticky. They must be using the wrong cleaner as floor made my stocking feet dirty. Toilet seat obviously needed replaced and heater was very loud. Staff was fine but closed breakfast prior to posted closing time, leaving no food.
- 4/5
Property is dated snd needs to be updated
- 5/5
The property next door was horrid….crackheads, drug deals, trash, etc. But, this is not Super 8’s fault.
