Spark by Hilton Amarillo Western Plaza

Very clean and quiet. Lots of restaurants close by. My only negative comment was there was no coffee makers in the room but there was great coffee in the lobby.

The desk could have been more friendly.

While the hotel itself was great, the parking was terrible. I understand a lot is going on around the hotel, but I had to book my return trip at a different place because of the parking situation. I will be returning next week with a trailer, and I am not going to fight that parking situation.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and everything was well maintained. The atmosphere was great, and I felt very welcomed. I would definitely stay here again!

Room was very clean. Staff was friendly. Parking was crowded. They did tell us once we got inside that there was an overflow spot. Hotel was easy to access and close to restaurants. Bed was comfy

Our room was very large and comfortable. The hotel has a lot of nice amenities and is a good value. The breakfast was really minimal and quite disappointing.

The room was clean and quiet. Valerie, the front desk staff was nice and able to accommodate us for very late check in. Wish they will add hot breakfast, cold boiled eggs is not fun to eat.

The bed was hard. The wallsworth then I could hear people threw him and I can hear people thumping on the floor above us and slamming the doors. Fixtures missing coming off. It's a huge room it could be so much better but they would need to update

Breakfast was below par. Bagels, muffins, bread and cereal is ok for some people but wasn't what I expected from such a lovely establishment. Not enough coffee to go around, orange juice was watered down. Plus hard boiled eggs that are cold wasn't, again, what I expected. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are also much needed. All other amenities were great. Staff was super helpful and would like to stay here again. Other than having to go out for breakfast everyday instead of eating in the hotel, I'd say it's a great place to stay.

staff seemed nice but also understaffed, there seemed to be only one person working the front desk and while waiting to change rooms there was quite a few guest ariving and only one person to help them. The first room the bathroom door did not close with out having to force the top edge into the door frame, and the AC system did not work. the second room the AC worked somewhat and the bathroom door closed properly, but there was no ventalation in the bathroom so it was very muggy and no airflow. no coffee maker in the room but there was a microwave?

We could get only 3 channels to work on the TV.

Loved the staff and the rooms. The continental breakfast left something to be desired.

I’ve stayed at other Spark Hotels but this one was nicer and cleaner than the others I’ve stayed! The staff there was very helpful. The coffee was excellent. I think they could improve the breakfast bar by including some hot items. My room was quite large and overall everything was super!

Our family loved the large room that slept 6 in beds and also had fold out couch--rare to find room for 8! Very large and clean. However, breakfast was not great--afrer the good reviews, I was expecting better. It was very minimal continental with few offerings, not even a waffle iron. I would stay here again because the room was that good but would just adjust my expectations for the minimal breakfast

Checking in was great the front desk person was nice to give me a shower gel ours in our room had gone empty. The hotel was very nice and beautiful just one thing ruined it. We had ants in our room and on the 3rd floor. I wasn’t going to be going back and forth from room to room so I didn’t mention anything till the morning at the front desk about the ants. They apologized but that wasn’t the point. I told them it was too much of a nice place for ants to be up in the 3rd floor. I hope it gets addressed

Breakfast was continental - not a full breakfast. It was fine Not a full breakfast

The hotel was very basic. Not much offered in terms of the continental breakfast and when we checked in the worker at the front desk told us that they were serving breakfast because they had to since it was Hilton. So, not bringing enthusiastic about having to provide breakfast. The weight room was very limited and nothing seemed to be working. The pool was under construction. If you need a place just to sleep when passing through, it was good enough.

Someone across the hall had a large dog who barked most of the night when we got there. The beds were very comfortable. However, the sugar ants crawling in the bed was an issue. There were also dirty towels wadded up and thrown in the closet, as well as dirty sheets. There was a hole in our bedroom where the doorknob went into the wall, leaving sheetrock fragments on the floor. All of those things were from prior guests, which tells me the rooms aren’t cleaned well. My daughter ended up sleeping on the couch because the sugar ants were crawling on her. I told the manager, and since she couldn’t adjust our price since we booked it through a third party, she gave me 5000 Hilton points, which was fine until I realized it was only worth at most $27.50. I paid almost $300 for the room. The reviews for this hotel were great, so I am not sure what happened.

Big room, good price, clean, nice staff. We don’t normally stay in hotels, but if we ever come through Amarillo again, we would stay here again!

Everything was great except no bacon or sausage at breakfast

The lobby stunk to high heaven at check out. The first room was dirty. The second room the door key wouldn't work. For the price it's way below what I expected.

Friendly Staff Hair on sheets on both beds but we asked for more sheets and got them and they were good. Breakfast wasn’t the best but ok.

The staff was courteous and the facilities were clean. The pool was “closed for maintenance” more than it was open-which would be fine EXCEPT we specifically left a diff hotel because the pool was closed and called around to find this one and were told it was open so we booked and stayed specifically for the pool so it was VERY disappointing when it was closed. Then when we asked she quoted us an hour or 2…ok…then it was still closed and she again said another hour or 2…well huge time it opened we could only swim 30 mins, which again was annoying since we specifically moved to get a pool to swim during the day until our evening activity.

My room was larger than expected and had a generous amount of pillows. Breakfast was a little sparse but everything was clean and waiting for us.

This was our first stay at a Hilton Spark Hotel. During the night I woke up and there were small black ants all over the bedside table and some in the bed. We tried to clean them up as it was the middle of the night. I talked with two different employees and told them what happened. They were nice but not helpful. I requested a call from a manager, gave them all my info and my concerns- I am currently waiting to hear from the manager. In addition, the ice machine did not work and the bathroom door. Would not close. Just an fyi. Did not rise to the Hilton level I e over. Very disappointed. Probably won’t do Spark again.

The room was spacious and clean. However, no in room coffee maker.

The check in was very easy and staff were pleasant. Rooms are big and very comfortable. There is no coffee maker in the room but coffee is available downstairs in the lobby 24 hours. The only minor complaint is our tv did not work. We went downstairs to ask about it and was told the cleaning staff most likely knocked the cords around and to unplug the tv and plug back in to reset. We did this and it did not solve the issue. We were just staying for one night so we got by without the tv. I would stay here again if needed.

Only thing we didn’t enjoy much was the breakfast.

Three of the four pieces of gym equipment were broken. TV in the room was not working. Room was big and the bed was comfortable. The staff was super friendly.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. There was, however, a shortage of parking. The lot was tiny and full when we arrived. We were forced to park in the adjacent lot belonging to Burleson Coat Factory, which was at least 4 acres in size. The store was not even open when we parked in the closest corner space, away from the main store entrance. My traveling companion left the hotel the next morning at 5:30am to run an errand and found my car being towed. There was a sign, but it was hidden behind a very large bush. My car was not the only one being towed. The tow truck driver also said the car parked next to me belonged to the manager and he was allowed to park there. I assume this happens daily-someone is definitely getting kickbacks from this. Shame on you! I will let everyone I know that goes to Amarillo to avoid your hotel. I know a lot of people in the veterinary industry that travel to the veterinary school. What a scam.

The room was exceptionally large, extremely clean, and the beds were beyond comfortable. I wish the mini fridge had not been on the floor because that was very difficult for me to put things in and out of. It was the best room. The front desk staff was absolutely perfection.

good location. basic continental breakfast. room good sized. liked the nightlight in the bathroom.

Clean room and nice staff. The breakfast was pretty limited. It would be nice to have sausage or bacon etc. the only protein was boiled eggs. There was very little I could eat with Gluten Allergies

This hotel was very comfortable and reasonably priced. The one negative about it was the limited choices of breakfast item... cold cereal, toast, hard boiled eggs, and a few prepackaged pastries were the menu choices of the day. Surely, they could have provided more for those of us looking for a pancake or scrambled eggs! Other than this, everything was great!

Everything was as needed for our quick overnight stay.

Room was very spacious and clean. Guy that checked us in did his job but that was all. Didn't have the breakfast but it smelled good. Nice big workout room and the indoor pool was nice but crowded...it is Summer time! Easy on and off I-40 with plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Would stay again.

Spectacular hotel, wish we were staying more than 1 night. Everything was clean, it was all new and refreshed. The amenities were great. We did not partake in the breakfast, it was continental breakfast. Staff was amazing.

No AC during Texas summer. Electrical controls not secure and no response from staff

Clean and comfortable. Gym was terrible. Nothing worked and had no dumbells like it said it would. Machine was off center. Elipticals were janky. Needs work.

Bedding is very comfortable. Rooms are suites. a+

1) The air conditioning in the room was set to 68 degrees. It never went below 78 degrees. 2) The room refrigerator did not cool soda cans. 3) In parking in the rear area, do not place your windshield towards the grass. The sprinklers run at night. The water is hard and leaves a calcium deposit on the windshield which can not be removed by the cars windshield wipers, nor can it be totally removed by the squeegee at the gas station. It took a bottle of Windex and paper towels to remove the deposits. Driving with the windshield coated was hazardous. It's a nice property. The prices are reasonable. The rooms are exceptional, except for the shortcomings that I've mentioned. The staff was helpful. Fix the problems and I would rate it 5 stars.

Awesome. Comfy and pet friendly

We travel back and forth to Dallas to visit family a couple times a year, and we’ve all agreed that this is where we will always stay! The rooms are spacious, the plaza it’s located in has a variety of restaurants to choose from, and it’s very pet friendly without LOOKING like a million dogs have stayed here. We will definitely be back.

Our first stay at a Sparks and was pleased. They have a bar for drinks and food.

The staff was very nice but a little slow. The room was clean but the toilet rolls were almost all used. Did have to go to front desk for more. Super nice front desk clek gave me direction to my next destination.

The room and air and everything was great, a lot of flies by the food, the breakfast was not that great The hot tub worked perfectly nice and hot but it was small The pool was freezing cold.
