Spark by Hilton Amarillo East

I was forced to give my phone number at check in. There was no real need for them to have my phone number. I like to keep my personal info private as possible due to identity theft and hacking.

Large breakfast selections available in a spacious dining area. Room was on upper floor, but convenient elevator nearby. Easy check in.

No pool. The price seemed a bit expensive. The facility is an older hotel that was renovated and is now a Hilton. It's in decent shape but...

Family of 3 staying for 1 night. Easy to locate and park. Plenty of restaurants close by - we used the Cracker Barrel that was across the parking lot. Comfortable and clean room. We used the pool and hot tub, both enjoyable. Small fridge in room. Great to have washing facilities for a fee - we had just come off a camping trip so we needed it! Good ac, shower and comfy bed. Convenient luggage trolleys for all of our stuff. Breakfast was lack lustre with a disappointing and minimal selection. Even my kids didn't bother with much of it. We had just also stayed at a Hampton Inn that was superior in comparison. I did like the coffee bar though.

The hotel was in a very quiet area and was a great hub for us to access all the things we wanted to see and do!

Would stay here again.

The computer system was down and it took a long time to get to our room. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and as far as handicap accessible, the refrigerator was on the floor. No extra towels or pillows. My spouse is not handicapped and no where to sit except the bed.

Location was close to restaurant and freeway I found someone's hairs in the bathroom and the tv screen kept skipping. For a $200/night hotel, I have stayed at much nicer brand hotels in more expensive touristy cities. So disappointed I skipped Amarillo on my return route from Albuquerque and stayed at a nicer place for half the cost outside of OKC.

The room was satisfactory. They needed to be some work done in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The staff is pleasant, but not fillow through with request that was made on trip going to Texas. But they corrected it when I said we won’t stay there on our way back. The breakfast was just OK. It did not offer any kind of pancakes or waffles just eggs and sausage for hot meal.

Room was very clean. There were charging stations where you just lay the phone on the platform and enough plugs if you needed to charge something else. Desk folded out for more space. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lotion in dispensers. Pretty quiet except the neighbor with the loud tv, but the front desk helped with that. Breakfast was fine: cereal, instant oatmeal, bagels, eggs, sausage, juice, etc. Plenty of drink selections for coffee & tea. Front desk was friendly and effecient.

The hotel is beautiful, nicely-appointed and clean room, and the young lady at the front desk (Dinah) was very attentive. I wish I could rate this hotel higher than 5

I love the bed really comfortable

Found two bugs in the room. Hard to tell if it was just Texas or if it had been a while since someone was in the room to clean.

Ok place to stay. Check in staff were great. Room was smaller and than average compared to other places we have stayed. Overall good.

It was clean and great location

Traveling with our family of 4. Stayed one night. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Carts for baggage were new and worked well. Room was musty, even though air conditioning worked, it felt like the dehumidifier was not working at all. Carpet felt damp and so did my shoes. Stick to packaged drinks. Water tasted awful. Breakfast was not great, but the bagels were fresh and the toaster worked fast. Location was very convenient. Right next to Cracker Barrel and down the street from the American Quarter Horse Museum. We visited the museum which was very nice. Allot about 1 hour for it.

Staff unhelpful

Walking into the hotel felt like a breath of fresh air. We are a party of five, and we had booked a two-bedroom suite with a king-sized bed, two queen-sized beds, a living room, and a kitchen/dining area. The accommodations were truly phenomenal and worth every penny. There was ample space for us to stretch out and unwind after our long car ride and the unpleasant experience we had at our original rental. One of the most important things for us was the quietness of the room. We usually prefer to stay on the top floor to avoid hearing people stomping around on the upper floors. However, since we had booked the room at midnight, we couldn’t be picky. To our surprise, our suite was located on the first floor, and we didn’t hear a thing! My husband and our seven-year-old are both light sleepers, and they slept in until 10 a.m., even though the hallways were bustling with housekeeping and other guests checking out. Beyond the quiet and spacious room, it was also sparkling clean. The room was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, facial soap, and body lotion, which was a nice touch.

Nice room and property, however, there was a bad smell in the room. Kind of like wet hay? That kinda ruined it for us.

the only weird thing was the two different groups of guys having picknicks on the grass side of the parking lot. Not a usual thing. Everything else was fine. No complaints. Would stay here again.

I liked that it was right off the interstate and had a Cracker Barrel next to it. Was so happy not to have to look for a place to eat as I had driven over 10 hours that day. The

The staff was great. The only real issue, the amount of dog feces around the outside of property. No real designated space for dog use, so therefore the entire property! Very unpleasant! And breakfast was fine. Just need hot food to be kept warmer, and cold food, colder! But our stay was clean and comfortable otherwise.

I had stayed here before when it was a different owner. Spark has upgraded nicely but kept some good features

It was conveniently close to the Amarillo airport.

This was one of the best hotels our family have ever stayed at. We loved everything about it. The staff was awesome, amenities were great, and the room was great!!

We have stayed at the Sparks (formerly the Ashmore) many times and have always been well satisfied. The breakfast selection and presentation was particularly good during our most recent visit.

I wish you would have had memory foam mattresses. Conventional mattresses are very hard on my hips. Otherwise great hotel.

Great rooms

Ground floor room, near the lawn area. The A/C had some quirks but still worked well. My coworkers had zero concerns with theirs. The room was very clean, the hosts were kind (we saw them often), and breakfast was good. Very grateful for a chance to stay here.

It is quite a long walk to downtown Amarillo so would advise getting a taxi Simple breakfast choice in the morning but a convenient way to start the day without having to go out for food

Great rate, clean and quiet location, comfy beds, super pleasant staff. Breakfast was the standard hotel fare. Would’ve loved a coffee pot in the room.

I loved that the parking lot was well lit especially to walk the dogs at night. Poop bags were out at 2 spots (we always have our own) but otherwise the property was pet friendly and I appreciate that!!

Shower could have been cleaner

Bagel bar was nice, beds were comfy.

Staff was amazing at check in. However, the room had almost no conditioner in the bathroom, and the AC unit was malfunctioning. The fan would blow but no matter the temp, it was not cooling. Condenser appears to be broken. Needs addressing. Other than that, the bed was comfy, and the parking was safe, which is critical in Amarillo.
