Reviews
The hotel reviews collectively indicate a very poor experience for most guests. The majority of the reviews highlight issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.

- Extreme lack of cleanliness in rooms and common areas
- Poor maintenance and disrepair of the property

Room filled with bad odor. Room ceiling had cracks and patches. Bathtub was dangerously slippery and dirty. Room was overall in poor condition.

Staff was excellent. Room was clean. Air conditioner works great. I've been here for 12 days. I think no one has been in to clean my room. I have not received any clean tiles or washcloths. Other than that everything's great. Keep in mind I am working night shift. It's very possible that came in my room and I was asleep and they left. I'm not sure. All in all, it's been a great stay
- 4/5
Good location
- 5/5
I love stay here when we need to stay in Amarillo
- 5/5
The staff is exceptional, the location is very convenient and safe.

I am in the process of obtaining lobby footage from the manager of this establishment. And will be taking it up with the franchise as well. Overall this was the ONLY bad experience I've ever had in 32 years of going through Amarillo. I should have stuck with my IHG account.
- 2/5
My room was on the second floor, the exterior door was/is unsecured (anyone can walk into the hallway), the interior door had a secondary lock (but it could not engage due to the door being misaligned), my room’s a/c barely work (and my room was far hotter than my preference, the bathroom had/has peeling paint, and last but not least, the water… the warmish water was on a cycle (from cold to lukewarm and back to cold every 2-3 minutes of my shower-exercised my timing). But the hostess/check in attendant was very nice and deserves a raise.
- 5/5
Safe and clean. Thank you
- 1.5/5
Salty eggs stale bread. Lighting in the stairway with black carpet thought i would fall hard to see.
- 2/5
Room window had a huge Crack and it was tape up and you would think it be nicer since its close to medical center. Breakfast only had yogurt, cereal, and fruits, it look like it was under construction in lobby.

Friendly staff
- 1/5
Large deposit due at property for one night pre-paid stay. Totally unacceptable and if I had known, I would have chosen another place. I could have refused to pay the deposit, but then I would have lost the money I paid for the room. Total nonsense and a horrible experience.
- 5/5
yes
- 3/5
The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. I walked across the street to the beautiful park. The pool was closed. The carpets and walls in the lobby and hallway were shabby.
- 0.5/5
To gain access to the hotel you have to do it front and outside door which was broken. The room was unable to be locked, the inside hatch was the option to look the door. Inside the AC was pretty noisy, the curtains were quite ripped.
- 4/5
The breakfast was only waffle and coffee, cereal, but no eggs no sausage.
- 1/5
The pictures lied and If this trip wasn’t non refundable and I didn’t get in at 11pm I would have ran immediately
- 1/5
This hotel was trash, do not stay here unless you’re extremely desperate. I booked a non smoking room and my room smelt like an ashtray. When I turned the light on a cacaroach pulled a switchblade on me. After fighting off the roaches I went in the restroom to find someone’s ball frow all over the toilet. Absolutely disgusting! The pictures online are catfish.
- 1/5
No swimming pool. Breakfast was trash just waffles no eggs meat or nothing. Swimming pool not working. Hot water issues even after contacting front desk. The atmosphere is kinda dangerous. You have to slam the door shut all the way. Some nights didn't feel safe. Can definitely hear the people above walking or making any kind of movement a lot of sleepless nights.
- 1/5
We checked in and after looking at the rooms we checked right back out. The rooms were just filthy. If I could post pictures of what we saw when we checked in I would. The refrigerator smelled like rotten milk and filled the room with a horrible odor as soon as we opened it. Walls filthy, sheets stained, carpet filthy, hair on tissue paper shoved behind the bed. The clerk didn’t even question it when we told them we could not stay there. Quality Inn needs to do some inspections here.
- 1/5
Rooms look nothing like the pictures
- 2/5
Basin was logged with water
- 1.5/5
Good staff. The place was falling apart, literally.
- 1/5
Property is in very poor condition, room was hot and ac worked but not enough to cool down the room. Walls were half painted and the fire alarm detector wasn't working.
- 1/5
Most concerning, I was given a room that was already occupied. When I tried to enter, the occupant came to the door, and I had to return to the front desk for another room. The staff was slow, came across as rude, and lacked basic customer service and a professional appearance. The breakfast area and equipment looked dirty, and the coffee was terrible. On the positive side, the temperature-controlled A/C kept the room consistently cool, and the bed was comfortable. However, even the bed looked unfinished, with all four pillows piled on one side and none on the other. I would not stay here again.
- 2/5
I will not stay at this hotel again.
- 1/5
The room was probably one of the worst rooms you could stay at. If I could post the smell it had I would it was terrible. We had a giant machine for air the floor was completely wet like the whole floor was soaking wet. It was so dirty that it was probably unsanitary to even eat breakfast there. The bathroom counter was wet when we walked in and the shower had hair and dirty in it, the bathroom floor also had stuff all over it. It was just overall super dirty and gross on top of the floor being wet and the giant fan to try and get the floor dry, also didn’t help that the room had like smoke and was super groggy, cloudy like. Just overall a terrible place to stay do not recommend to anyway. I only uploaded one photo because the rest were just too gross. If anything I recommend them getting a health inspection.
- 3/5
The property is run down.
- 3/5
The property was relatively clean. It is dated, though. The area seems pretty safe. The front desk man was very nice and helpful.
- 2/5
Rooms are small, pool is salt water but has too much salt and is not good to swim in. Every time you come out of the water all u can taste is salt on your lips. Water is cloudy and unclear. Rooms were small. There was trash under on of the beds and in between the mattress and box spring. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling in the room bathroom. We will not be making another stay there.
- 1/5
This property is dirty and feels unsafe. It looks like the doors have been pried open and some rooms don’t have doorknobs at all. We moved rooms because the bedspread was visibly dirty. We will never stay at another Quality Inn because of our experience. Someone from cooperate needs to go down as a customer to find out how terrible this place is. You’re ruining your reputation from this one place alone.
- 0.5/5
Had blood on the floor bugs in the room smell like smoke it was awful never coming back
- 2.5/5
Parts of the building were rundown/broken. Maintenance was not kept up with.
- 1/5
Our first night the tv didn’t work, because they gave us a computer cord to use to connect the tv and cable. The next day we got the correct cable, Cable tv had limited channels only I believe 20 channels. Over night the bathroom light when out and we weren’t able to get that fixed until the next afternoon. The building is definitely falling apart and mass amounts of mold, we all left sick. I do not recommend this place for any amount of money.
- 2.5/5
Nothing Tv channel sucks the lock of the door sucks list goes on
- 1/5
Pictures are not correct. No cribs for toddlers to sleep in, rude and unhelpful staff.
- 2/5
Very old and not clean motel with very simple breakfast.
- 3/5
It was ok not the best stay since we had to look for our room it was not inside the front desk building.
- 1/5
I won’t stay here again
- 2/5
Not so great but ok for single person
- 3/5
Close to highway if u are looking for short stay.
- 1/5
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The lobby was nice, the outside and rooms are horrible. Wet carpet with a dryer once we opened the door. The smell horrible. Moved us to second room, fitted sheet on first bed was not put on correctly looked like both beds were slept in. Stains on pillow case. We left and got a refund. Still waiting for our deposit back.
- 3/5
Needs a major updating to the entire facility
- 1/5
Where do I begin? This location was nothing like pictured. I completely felt unsafe literally began to have an anxiety attack while I was in the room and immediately followed my gut instinct, and just checked the hell out they have yet to refund us our money, even though they accepted the refund as our money. One of the doors did not close. And there was a hole in the ceiling that was poorly patched but primarily the reason why we immediately checked right back out was because I began to have that gut feeling that I was not safe there and my anxiety went off the roof.
- 2/5
The bathroom door was dirty and you could see it clearly
- 3/5
Everything seemed to be falling apart. We couldn't close the bathroom door in our room (210) b3cause it appears to have been kicked in before and theres a ton of damage. Water pressure is good. Overall for a single night passing through itd acceptable but eveything seems broken and rusted.
- 0.5/5
Nothing about this stay was good First, when we checked in the water was not working for over an hour. Second, the room was not clean. The shower had hair from the previous guest. There wasn’t enough towels in the room for one person due to leaving a tattered bath mat as a towel with the 1 other bath towel. My husband didn’t have any towels for a shower. The toilet was not clean, and the vents in the bathroom were filthy. There was trash in the dresser drawers. The tile in the bathroom was cracked and pieces of wood trim missing. It was loud outside our door all night with people smoking. There wasn’t any breakfast available when we checked out around 9:00 am. The parking was very tight and had to park away from our room.
- 0.5/5
Nothing. The room was disgusting. There were cracks all over the walls. There was hair in the bathtub and stains on the bed. The worst part was there was what appeared to be dried blood all over the floor and on the walls. My wife and kids stayed in the room and it was not clean in any way. The bathroom area smelled like cigarettes. Having dried blood on the floors and booking the room to someone is not okay. When I called the front desk to complain, the clerk looked at the room and asked if they wanted to move to a room upstairs. So now they have to repack and move upstairs with the luggage which is also an inconvenience and then that was that with no effort to rectify it or make it right.
- 2.5/5
The room smelled like cigarettes. There were flies all over the ceiling. The staff was outside our room smoking.
- 2/5
Room was old and not very clean. Looked like a place where junkies stay for the night. The lobby had been redone and looked nice but the rooms were a different story. The bath tub had a half used bar of soap in it and the sheets had hair on them. It was complete with a broken ice machine and a light outside that blinked every few seconds like in a horror movie. It was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.
- 5/5
Did utilize
- 3/5
We read all the reviews, were scared, but had no choice because it was the only reasonably priced hotel available for a night passing thru. I will say that they are true BUT exaggerated. Yes the building is old so it shows how long they have been in business. our room was clean, sheets clean, no bedbugs, no roaches. Fridge worked. We had a phone and microwave. Our AC was not working but front desk and maintenance were THE BEST at 10pm getting that fixed. Super nice people and were extremely fast in resolving the issue. We slept great and comfy with a newly installed AC. In the morning there was no hot water in the shower but it also wasn’t freezing. During summer in Texas, it was nothing to complain about and have to wait. We didnt have breakfast there so cant comment on that. The area was quiet and we felt extremely safe. The top reason I booked here was because of the medical area since they tend to be on the reliable side. If you’re just needing a place to stop by for a night it’s fine. If you’re staying for a longer period go elsewhere.
- 1.5/5
The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. And the air worked really well. The toilet didn’t flush unless you took the top off and pulled the chain to make it flush. Also, we checked in late, no problem, when we finally went to sleep the smoke detector started beeping and never shut off the remainder of the night. Kept us up all night. I know it’s not the end of the world but very inconvenient for paying $125 a night.
- 1/5
We were pulling a trailer with our truck and there was no parking. We were going to have to park way far away and walk so we couldn’t keep an eye on it if something happened. There is an apartment complex right next to it and someone outside on the sidewalk sleeping. There were people congregating outside. The inside of the hotel while I was checking in was very nice but I felt uncomfortable staying there so we left.
- 3/5
When we first walked in, the beds looked like they had been completely changed and made nicely, but the trash hadn’t been emptied and the bathroom looked like no one cleaned it. The front staff were extremely helpful in making the room right for us, and assisted us in everything else we requested. The waffles in the morning were great, and though we had small complaints, we thought for the price, we probably wouldn’t have done any better. 6/10
- 3.5/5
Dirty, old and bad quality service
- 1/5
Woke up to no hot water and tub clogged. Reported to staff and told it would be taken care of immediately. Came back to the room in the evening and nothing done, clog still there, room not cleaned. The girl at the desk was very nice and agreed to refund my second night stay, however, as I was checking the room for my belongings, I discovered mattress I was slept on the previous night was filthy with no mattress cover.
- 0.5/5
It was close to the BSA hospital. The room was a non-smoker room and smelt like a smoking room. The bed liner was ripped, the floors were dirty, the restroom was dirty the shower looked as if it hasn't been cleaned in a VERY long time. It smelt disgusting in that room. There was some hard metal faucet looking things coming out of the wall, very dangerous if a person fell near them and hit themselves. Specs of paint on the floor, paint on the curtains. The WORST experience. And to add that kids were supposed to stay for free but when I added them it went up $300.
- 2/5
Our room had no air conditioner. The pool was dirty. I felt scared the bathroom doors don't close.
- 2/5
Only one channel worked on the TV.
- 4/5
It was a descent stay for just passing through.
- 1/5
terrible stay. needs help. friendly and helpful staff. rooms and property not the best
- 3/5
Maybe clean the floor and change the carpet too old
- 1/5
This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed in my life. It’s an embarrassment that they are actually renting these rooms to human beings. They should be ashamed to charge money for this place. Don’t anyone ever spend a penny on this hotel? It should be put out of business.
- 0.5/5
I thought there was more variety to choose from Meat to offer
- 1/5
Needs to be up dated the floors lookd dirty breakfast sucked
- 1.5/5
It was close to the medical center. The staff was nice. The bed was not bad. It was very outdated. The floor had patches in it that had been patched with non matching pieces. The tv was very old and the channels were not much to choose from. The hallways were very hot, and the window sills were very dirty.
- 3/5
Good
- 1/5
Not a nice place to stay. Was actually to scared to stay there with grandkids. Walked up to room and right back down and back to the car to find someplace else. Wasted $95
- 3/5
It's okay kind od if worn dow
- 5/5
Pretty good tbf. Receptionist were great and told us local advice
- 2/5
Room we received should never be used again. Front door didn't close all the way. We asked for a non-smoking room, well lets just say that at one point that room was a smoking room because of how awful it smell. There were roaches inside the fridge. Also the bathroom fan didn't work. We should have requested another room but since there was no elevator and having to go up and down the stairs having a bad knee was not an option. That was my experience in this particular location.
- 1/5
There was a lot of people hanging around outside their rooms, people laying down on the floor, and car alarms kept going off all night. We walked in the restroom and there was water coming out from the cracks of the tile every time the toilet was flushed. Towels were still dirty, bed sheets smelled like they weren’t dried correctly. I tried to get my money back 10mins after seeing everything and I was denied by someone from Choice Hotels saying “that wasn’t enough of a reason to even move to another hotel” which is ridiculous.
- 1/5
Filthy and dingy— would stay there again rrooms are old and nasty
- 2/5
Smoke alarm was going off all night. There was no toilet paper and the bathroom was not clean
- 2/5
We showed up to check in about an hour after check in time. The lady at the front desk gave me the key and said “it may or may not be clean. If it’s not, let me know and come back in a couple hours and see if we got to it.” I feel like it is the responsibility to have the room ready on time. The property was very poorly maintained and the people in the area and hanging around the hotel were very scary. One gentleman pulled a gun on my small children. Pictures are very deceiving and we will not stay here again.
- 3/5
Pool was dirty, breakfast was not looking appetizing at all. Lots of 20 year olds partying. Run down. Asked for a room with walk in shower due to a bad knee didn’t get it. Ran out of toilet paper. Tv is small.
- 1/5
To start with, they gave me a room that was full of trash and hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest. When they moved me to a different room, the air conditioning worked fine, but absolutely no water came out of the shower. The whole experience was terrible
- 4/5
For the price I can not really complain. The place is old and beginning to be somewhat run down. It appears the personnel are attempting to keep the place presentable and are doing a decent job of keeping it clean. All in all I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Its was amazing
- 3/5
I stayed in the accesible room because I was going to have hip replacement surgery and needed the handicap shower. The shower was very slippery and the curtain rod kept faling down. Might be helpful to put in a shower mat that helps prevent slipping. The room had a king sized bed and the fitted sheet did not fit. Definitely need to get a sheet that fits and stays on the bed.
- 4/5
Arrived from my 4 hour drive from Albuquerque New Mexico. As I went inside the door I wasnt greeted and I waited 10 minutes before they even helped me. The manager finally checked me in. I told him that I requested an upstairs room. He then asked his coworker if they had 211 available and it was so thats where they put me. As we walked into the upstairs room the Hall Reaked like Marajuana. Me and my dad went into the room , unpacked our luggage and planed what we were gonna do. We slept well except we kept hearing doors slam. And people were in and out all night. It came time to shower and boy was that shower COLD. The paint in the bathroom was also peeling really bad. I think quality inn was a fairly priced Hotel however it definitely needs cosmetic attention and the Water Boiler needs to be replaced.
- 1/5
Old bed, not clean, loud. Second worst motel I’ve ever stayed in.
- 2/5
The staff was friendly. The property is run down and the cleanliness of the pool left much to be desired. However, the price made it tolerable.
- 5/5
good
- 3/5
Because of other signs, it's obvious the entire facility is dated, and could use updates or improvements. And the one thing I found odd was the absence of a phone and a clock in the room. Never have I stayed anywhere that didn't have a phone and clock in the room until that Quality Inn. While it is close to BSA, our destination, my wife and I won't be staying there again.
- 1/5
walls are paper thin and can hear everything neighbors kept us and the kids awake all night long fighting and throwing stuff against the walls and people conversating out side the room all hours of the night.
- 3/5
A bit outdated but overall fine for the price
- 3/5
Oh well
- 2/5
Extremely dirty room. Zero toilet paper in our room, someone’s old soap bar in the shower and used sheets. YUCK!
- 2/5
Idk
- 3/5
Being able to hear someone above you stomping around when youve been on the road for 12 hours isnt great. Person proceeded to be up until past 2 am. Otherwise i checked for bed bugs, looked treated. Could wash the curtains. That way you could actually catch smokers. As they smell of cigarettes. I quit a year ago so its fresh to me
- 3/5
The Hotel was good, but it doesn't appear like the pictures. No Jacuzzi included.
- 3/5
The ceilings and walls show lots of paint and spackle patchwork. Large areas of the ceiling look like they were once sagging or riddled with holes. The carpet had several dark, STICKY stains on the far side of the bed. The coffee at the breakfast bar was warm to lukewarm at 6AM, right as it opened. Hot water for my shower was nearly non-existent. I managed to find a trickle of warm water to lather up with, but by the time I was rinsing it had turned icy cold. There appeared to be a burned hole in the duvet. The TV took a LONG time for any channels to show up. I wondered at first if its connection to the cable box was working at all. The HVAC unit sounds in need of repair or replacement. It had a VERY loud grinding sound when the fan was running for heat or cold. (Bad bearings?) I ended up sleeping with the unit turned off, and was quite comfy for most of the night. It was a windy morning, and some wind was blowing through the space between the door and the jamb. (The room exited directly into the parking lot.) Other general shabbiness to the structure (cordoned-off staircases, etc.) But still, it was only $50... For that price, and for my needs, I would probably stay here again.
- 5/5
The only thing I couldn’t figure out was the WiFi, and I couldn’t get ahold of anyone in the office to ask for help. Otherwise an amazing stay.
- 5/5
perfect love yall
- 1/5
The room has a terrible odor. The carpet was very dusty. The AC didn't cool the rim at all. Our room was 90*. Over all worse experience ever!!
- 1/5
Couldn’t sleep because you could hear everybody’s footsteps upstairs. Pretty cool how old these buildings can get and still pass inspections I guess haha I just wish I knew before how smelly and old it would be walking in. The sheets were stained with something that looked like blood so I ended up just busting out my air mattress. I was only passing by and needed somewhere warm to pass out and rest. The shower I would advise you wake up early to figure out the hot part of it.
- 4/5
The location of the hotel is very close to a hospital and a nice park. The room is clean and there is a lot of space close to the hotel to walk your pet.
- 3/5
The room was crap! Filthy carpet! looked to be remodeled 20 yrs ago! Light in bath was out! Tv sucked! Like 8 channels total! No safety lock on door! Just all in all crap!
- 2/5
The room that was assigned to me had an unmade bed and it had clearly been slept in. I was given a different room but did not receive any apology!
- 1/5
Wires everywhere's looks like they were working on the room and didn't clean it up the toilet wasn't working nor was the fridge or coffee maker horrible and on top of that they double charge my card 70 twice
- 1/5
no tv during nfl playoffs
- 3/5
Could be a lot cleaner. We found a huge ball of hair in the floor. Didn’t look like it had been vacuumed in awhile. Tub looked dirty as well. Then the noise coming from outside is awful. You shouldn’t be able to hear that much from outside. There was a hole in the sheet on the bed. I will say the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Pillows were a joke though
- 5/5
It was an older motel, but the room was clean.
- 2/5
Also, the description and pictures did not indicate that the rooms opened to the outdoors and were not connected to the main hotel building, which was an unpleasant surprise late at night on a cold night.
- 1/5
The Room was moldy, the bathroom door did not work properly. There was some nasty socks behind one of the beds but very visible to anyone. None of the TV channels worked
- 3/5
The room was Ok. The staff was great. Need to fix the door in room 114. Could you spell better breakfast options?
- 1/5
This place is disgusting. I don’t know how this property is kept by Quality In. only reception area is good. Any other 3rd class motels would be better than this.
- 1/5
Don’t trust the information from it.
- 1/5
My blanket was dirty and woke up because of bed bugs!!! Terrible
- 4/5
Staff was helpful
- 5/5
The place is nice and quiet. Location is super convenient.
- 2/5
I almost left the hotel right after I saw the room but it was late and did not want to shop around for hotels. Carpets are old and stained, sonis the tub in the showers, bed had no blankets only sheets, paint was coming off the walls.
- 5/5
They've been great.
- 1/5
Didn’t even stay. Hotel was disgusting. Filthy sheets, rooms smelled like mold. Looked at multiple rooms, all were terrible.
- 5/5
long vehicles limited parking, areas not marked for long vehicles,so cars used up areas that trucks needed(just mark for long vehicles pleases
- 4/5
Easy
- 4/5
great , ill be back
