Quality Inn Amarillo East

Nice employees! But the room itself had so many things going on! For one the shower curtain was absolutely disgusting, the vents had so much dust and nasty on them, parts of the headboard on the beds were missing, stains all over sheets, the bathroom door has about an inch of paint on it so good luck shutting the door, the whole place needs a remodel. But again the staff was very great! The breakfast was okay as long as you don’t want waffles. No smoking sure but everyone smokes in the balconies so you get to smell smoke anyway.

This was a real nice place. They were full but we still was able to park close to our room. I would stay there again if we ever come this way.

Breakfast was not good at all. Not a normal selection for Quality inn. Was out of Orange juice. Won’t make the mistake of staying there again!!

They seemed to.be remodeling the building which provided an inconvenience.

Parking lot was small for a full sized truck, a/c was set on 61 the entire time I stayed and cooled off to maybe 68 in the room, everything else was nice

The property appears to be a maintenance nightmare. They are trying to fix the cosmetics of the place but my opinion needs to be demolished and rebuilt. The place is just plain beaten up.

Facilities were poorly maintained, not very clean, mattresses were poor. Breakfast was more minimal and badly presented. I won’t stay here again

Room was clean and breakfast area too. Would recommend to others, for the price very nice place to stay overnight.

The door to our room didn’t shut all the way - you could see out into the parking lot through the gap in the door. We had to jam the chair under the handle to keep it shut. Very unsafe. It’s smelled terrible and the carpet felt sticky! Not impressed at all.

It was a basic room. Beds are comfortable. Walls are thin. Lots of Dooley trucks parked that took up two spaces therefore preventing vehicles from fitting in between. Had to walk farther than you would expect due to lack of usable spaces. Friendly staff. Coffee was weaker than jail coffee.

Rooms were cluttered with random furniture and dirty, Shampoo and conditioner were half used. Breakfast buffet was waffles and bread that you could toast. Only other thing available was some breakfast potatoes that were more like mashed potatoes. No eggs, no meat, no muffins. Creamer was packaged powder. Would not stay here again

It was an excellent stay and waking up to a breakfast is always a bonus. The price per night was awesome!. Thank you.

Yes, the property was in the midst of getting repainted. The problem was the dried vomit in the stairwell, the pile of something that looked like feces on the second floor walkway, the toilet out in the parking lot, the splatter of a variety of liquids and grim on the bathroom door, the holes in the walls of the bathroom, etc. etc. etc.

The pool was out of service, there was hair all over the bathroom, there were no towels. There was a dead roach in the bathroom. There were also holes punched in the walls. Don’t stay here. I had no choice because everything else was booked that night.

Room smelt of urine/very odd odor?? And no it wasn’t smoke!! Floors were filthy and outdated You wouldn’t want to walk barefoot for sure. TV didn’t work and was a complete joke and no help could be found. I definitely would recommend booking elsewhere. It was BS on monies spent. I wish I wasn’t so tired and in need of sleep

Room keys weren’t working for multiple guests. Constantly heard guests cussing and kicking their doors. The pool was not in operation, and my toilet was running on and off all night, barely got any sleep and checked out early.

Clean room. Only 1 washcloth. Breakfast was horrible. Waffle mix was watered down and only part of it cooked. Orange juice watered down. More I could say in regard to the breakfast but won’t. Just skip it all together and go somewhere else.

It did not look clean, the couch should have been thrown out a long time ago, I wouldn't have taken a shower there. The smell of chemicals from a strong deoderizer was offensive. I have stayed in nicer places for half the price. I'm okay with old, by this place was nasty.

Tv was broken, bathroom door had no mechanism in it to latch, black mold in corners of ceiling, phone didn’t work, only thing worked was AC and we were so hot from being out in the heat all day that we stayed just to cool down, definitely wouldn’t stay there again, not worth the money I was charged

Front desk staff ok. Room dirty (not vacuumed) and holes in bathroom walls. Stairs to second floor cracked and crumbling. If I hadn’t driven 12 hours and paid for the room in advance, I would have left. Breakfast was a joke.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Quality Inn in Amarillo on our way home. The check-in staff was very efficient and the room was very clean and welcoming. We will definitely stay there again.

Non-smoking rooms smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and marajauna.

The price was certainly cheap enough: $75.00/room with a king size bed. But the door in one of our two rooms had quite a few rather deep dents in it (looked like from a hammer?). The room my husband & I stayed in had carpet that smelled like maybe someone had smuggled in some cats without a litter box? The good thing is, you sort of get used to the smell after a while. LOL The man who checked us in had a humorous & friendly personality.

This property was so gross we had to move to another hotel. The door next to ours looked like it had been beaten in by a sledgehammer, the room reeked of smoke, paint was pealing, toilet wouldn't stop running and generally looked unsafe to stay in. You should take this off your listing.

Disgustingly dirty, I asked for it to be shown to me before and it was dirty and with the window broken, I did not stay and expedia did not solve my refund, I do not recommend them,,

The dirtiest hotel that I’ve ever been.

No breakfast. Too dirty. Many flies in the room. Especially, more than 10 flies in the rest room. Fungus in the refrigerator.

I book this hotel because my truck was in the shop and I need one night but I don’t like it The air conditioner was very noisy, there were cockroaches in the room, and the sheets smelled bad thanks to God was only one night

The lobby is nice and the breakfast was okay, totally unmemorable. They're obviously in the middle of renovations because our room was supposed to have a kitchenette but there was a gaping hole in the countertop with a junction box dangling from wires but no stove. The sink for the kitchen was smaller than the bathroom sink which was right next to it. The staircase was full of cigarette butts and one of the steps was crumbling. My kids looked around and felt very uncomfortable with their surroundings so I wouldn't ever stay there again.

Their windows are broken. There’s stains on the wall everywhere. The bathroom is gross and full of mold. There’s dirt all over the furniture. Everything was sticky to the touch. There were BURN marks on the curtains and the sheets

Staff was ok, parking an issue. Another guest came to the office to stayed their tub was filthy and they needed new sheets and bed spread. We canceled our reservation, got a refund and left to go to another hotel. Atmosphere and didn't feel safe in the area.

No hot water and the air conditioner rattled so hard it kept us up. The day clerk was not helpful nor did he care.

The air conditioning wasn't working in my original room and the person working the front desk quickly moved me to a different room. He was very sweet and helpful

The staff were friendly The powers kept going off randomly. Happens 3 times in a 2 day stay. Took about 5-10 minutes each time for them to fix it.

Offered breakfast had waffle maker. Juice machine not working out of yogurt and fruit. Only white bread for toast. Man on duty rude and just didn’t care about people’s request! Would never stay there again.

The room was clean, the AC worked great, the bed was comfortable & it's pet friendly. You can tell that the motel is old but is kept up and renovations are taking place. It's also in a good location for eating establishments nearby.

The floor was rolled flooring not glued down found a half dead cockroach crawling on the floor when I woke up gave it to the employee at front desk he just flicked it on the floor and said it must-have came in on someone's shoes. Was never told the room was a smoking room , until the hotel is in shambles there is toilets from renovations in front of rooms. I was told that I should have noticed the room was a smoking room because it didn't have a N for non smoking in the description. I tried to explain I have never experienced a room this horrible. I was given on excuse after another. I know thos is not how all of your locations are but you should do a spot check on this dumpster fire. I was in room 106 . Thank you for hearing me out.

Room smelled funny. And needed a little work.

The motel was okay but the breakfast sucked. Instant scrambled eggs, bread and a toaster, a waffle maker, and a few pieces of fruit. Some yogurt. No bagels, no donuts, no bacon or sausage, no gravy and biscuits. We forced enough down to keep us alive until we could buy some food later. The hotel looks pretty seedy on the outside, with some rough looking characters standing around in groups. The room itself was nice. It was clean, beds were comfortable, TV takes an electronics engineer to get working, but we finally did. Toilet refilled over and over due to flush valve leak, but it didn't bother us. AC worked well. All in all, this motel is a decent enough place as far as the rooms go, but it's in a questionable location and the outside needs some upkeep. The biggest downer for us is that we reserved it because of the advertised swimming pool, only to find that the pool has a tarp over it and obviously hasn't worked for years. Aggravating because it was the second motel in a row that had done this. The advertisement should be changed if the pool is no longer accessible. Breakfast sucked, advertised swimming pool was tarped over with dirt on top, outside was rough and seedy looking. Questionable location in rough looking area.

This place is NASTY!!! The non-smoking room we booked reeked of cigarette smoke. The door to the room was open when we arrived and the lock was held together with packing tape. The bathroom was disgusting! The shower had yellow stuff that looked like someone had urinated in it and it was never cleaned. The neighborhood was very sketchy and we felt very unsafe. When we requested a refund so we could go somewhere else they refused. It was so bad we just left anyway and lost our money. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

We called to say we would check in late around 4 am. They said that would be fine. We arrived a little later. We had been driving over 21 hours and miscalculated time change. The guy working there said he would not allow me to check in I would have to wait tell 3pm to check in. Nothing was available. The parking lot might have had one fourth the amount of vehicles. There was no way the room Wasn't available. I was also going to pay for another day. I was so upset. That has never happened. I ended up going to the motel across the street. They got a room ready for me in 30 minutes. They also told me how terrible the guy was at the other motel. Apparently every knows. He should be ashamed. I was also charged for the room even though I was refused. I had prepaid.

Next to the freeway What a disaster. It was so disgusting and run down. Roaches on the floor. The carpet had been shampooed, I'm sure because of animal pee, and it was still wet. The smell of weed was so strong.

Staff was nice There were no hand towels provided and there was only one wash cloth provided. The AC was set but could not be adjusted.

Plus side was the a/c was excellent and the beds were comfortable

Damn if the stupid app didn't open to a week ahead. I missed that. My fault because I was tired. But the stupid app sucks. I've stayed here before and it is an ok hotel. Always check your date.

The staff was very helpful. Couldn’t get into our room. The didn’t work at first, but the front desk worker got fixed very quickly. After in the room found out that one of the beds was missing the bottom bed sheet. Again the front desk worker was very helpful. The pool was covered, so we couldn’t use it.

Husband said he’s found us a new motel to stay in in Amarillo Texas. The beds were soft, clean rooms and staff was really nice and friendly

We checked in after a very long drive, arriving at 3:09am. There were drunken idiots that we started hearing by 4am. The cardboard cases that had held the beer was at the top of the dumpster. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Hotel is extremely run down and dilapidated. Had to push/pull door very hard to close/open. The rooms feel dirty, including the carpet (it felt sticky on bare feet). Parking is a nightmare. It definitely does not live up to Quality Inn standards and was the worst of the four Quality Inns we stayed in during this road trip.

If you read the other reviews, you'll get an idea of how bad this place is kept. ZERO stars, would not recommend. I picked this hotel because I was tired of being charged $75 to $100 extra for our small, well trained, dog. What a mistake! This hotel should be shut down in order to renovate. Stay cats (urine smell), broken windows (possibly from bullet), broken doors, holes in walls, bad smells, dirty bathroom. Could not wait to check out!. God Bless America 🇺🇸

Bath tub was filthy.Looked like thetub hadn't been used for some time. Plumbing and lighting fixures were not in good working order. Just a rather run down look. Pool wasn't operational. A/C was fine and breakfast was adequate.

Very old and the room smelled horribly of weed. The carpet was wet in multiple spots. Didn’t seem very safe when the door was locked .

For a motel, it was okay! The staff was so friendly. Location was great. We appreciated the low cost option and the abundance of parking right outside our room.

It’s outdated, but ok for one night. Out of 4 table lamps, one was only working. Room had the weird smell, but it was clean.

This hotel is very old. But is extremely dirty in the inside and out. The dead bolt didn’t work on the door. The toilet ran all night and light outside shined directly in the window. Privacy curtains tried but they were old and didn’t prevent the light from coming in

I would not recommend staying here. Our room was extremely stinky from chemical smells, very outdated and generally just gross. . The carpet felt wet and sticky, and there were stuff that was splattered on the refrigerator and on the wall I’m not sure what that was. Spend the money and go somewhere else.

Very shady, especially if you get a room on the backside of the building. We checked in at night and our room was on the backside of the building which is where we also parked..it’s literally a dark alleyway..most of the lights not working. So very sketchy. Stairway to our room reeked of human urine. Top of the stairway had an open room with piles of furniture and cats roaming in and out, smelled like cat urine of course. Neighbors were up banging on and slamming doors into all hours of the night. You can hear anytime someone turns on the shower or flushes the toilet. Room was gross, smelled weird, air felt moist, fridge was ripped out, graffiti on the walls. There wasn’t even an extra lock on our door for security. Staff was friendly, none of this is their fault but I would never ever stay here again. I felt so unsafe and could not wait to leave. I maybe slept one hour. Not even worth $60!!!!!!!

Bathroom mirror and sink were dirty, toiletries were used (half empty), hand towels were stained(or dirty). Pillow cases were very wrinkled (apparently not changed) and pillows were thrown haphazardly on the bed. The bed was made, but the state of the pillows made me wonder if the sheets had been changed. Not likely I'll be staying here again.

Although the staff was friendly and tried to be very helpful, the property was old and overall dirty. The bathroom didn't look cleaned, and there were water spots on the mirror. Also I had to ask for toilet paper since our bathroom only had 1/4 left on the roll and we had no refills. Also there was no remote for the TV. Although they brought us a remote, along with more toilet paper, the remote didn't work and the staff did not know how to fix it. The breakfast was fair, but free, so that was fine. The air conditioning also smelled musty.

The AC didn’t work. All lights were on and TV on when I walked In. The bed looked like someone had been laying on it. The TV remote was on the bed like someone was laying there watching TV and left right before I came In.
