My son arrived at 2am after a ten hour travel day. Their machine would not accept his card (their issue, not ours) so they sent him out to a bank machine in a questionable neighborhood at 230AM ?!?!?! When he got bak with his deposit, they gave him a ground floor room. On the way to the room, there was underwear in the hallway and then he discovered that the window did not lock...it could be opened from the outside very easily. By the time he sorted out the window (by himself) and felt safe, it was 330AM. I WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

They did not give me the room I actually booked. The staff was annoyed anytime I asked a question. The advertised pool was empty and broken. The giant bathtub in the room was also broken. They also didn’t have a smart tv which is not terrible but it was annoying since I have kids who are only used to apps and not cable.

The rooms were very outdated and didn’t feel clean. Staff wasn’t friendly

I went to check in and they said because I'm a local that I cannot stay there I called you guys to let you know and you pretty much blew it all off I had to call back a couple times usually you would have helped me find another hotel but that didn't happen this time I had to go on your app again and book another hotel and I'm still having a problem getting my money back I hope you enjoyed me telling you the criticism

A nice suite for the price!

Breakfast could have been better

The pool was out of order so the kids were not happy they could not swim. The rooms were clean but showing their age with some areas of bubbling paint. Beds were ok.

Water clogging in sink and washtub

Great place. Very clean and quiet. Many restaurants close, as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice choices for breakfast. Serena was a blessing. I highly recommend.

The stay was good the pool was not open but staff was very nice. Even over the phone when my wife had to call to clear up some confusion. The room was confterable and good.

Alex at the front desk was excellent! They are actively renovating but it did not impact our stay. Very clean and a great stay for the price. If you are a light sleeper request a second floor room away from the elevator. It's an older hotel and you can really hear the people above in a first floor room.

Disappointed. Smelled bad found bugs in our bathtub, had a very gross smell in all the hotels rooms are not updated at all.

Every thing was clean ac was nice and cold shower pressure wws fantastic and every thing worked as it was supposed too.

Night worker was lounging in pool area. I waited, rang bell 100 times called in phone wen den another client walked out before me upset no one was manning the front office... about 12am

Very clean and safe! The surroundings also felt comfortable and safe. Breakfast was ok for the level of stay. Definitely worth staying at this location over the other one especially just a short drive apart. Great dining options available. I will most definitely stay here again.

The pictures in the listing are very misleading. The hotel is very dated and our room had holes in the walls, scuffs on the walls, ceiling damage, stains, cracked tiles in the bathroom, dirty floors, outlets plugged with tape.

Very clean facility. Comfortable beds. Great breakfast. Nice grassy area for pets. Staff were very pleasant. Room paint colors and decor were very dated.

Microtel Inn in Amarillo needs a fresh paint job and a good house cleaning (carpet shampooing everywhere and sink drain checkups--our bathroom sink did not drain). The property is dated and could really use some freshening up. It's always sad to see management ignore basic upkeeping to keep customers coming back.

Clean room. Everything works. Conveniently located for us. Lots of food nearby. Lots of greenspace for the puppies. Honestly, there was nothing to complain about. I spend 30% of my time staying in hotels across the country.

Clean and comfortable. We have stayed twice. There is an odd smell when entering the first floor in the hallway that we have noticed both times, but it is not in the rooms, so perhaps that is guest generated. We will stay again.

The price through Booking.com was low, but the quality of the hotel was very good. It had very friendly staff too. The wall to the connected room was thin. People in there were noisy. The fan in the bathroom was loud.

Staff was very nice. The front check in girl was so bubbly and friendly. Room was sparkling clean. Loved the shampoo and conditioner smell. Appreciated the microwave and fridge/freezer unit. You can tell the building was an older hotel turned into a microtel. Could use some updating.

The staff was very kind, and helped me switch from a smoking to a non smoking. I hadn’t realized I had selected it, and Erika texted me just to verify that I wanted a smoking room. The room was clean, the breakfast was solid, and I felt safe there, which I can’t say the same for a lot of hotels I’ve stayed at in the past few days across the country

Hotel could probably use some updates but overall property was clean, felt safe and good location. Bed was too firm for my preference. Front desk lady was very nice and check in was easy.

Everything was decent

Staff was nice but this hotel is really run down. Carpets was threadbare, it looked like it hadn’t been painted for 40 years. Curtains looked that old. Fortunately the bed was comfortable and they had real orange juice for breakfast. For the price, I could have stayed elsewhere with a pleasant recently painted room.

Shower needs repairs. Drain plug was closed when we got there. I open and later we had foul smell of sewer gas in room. That’s why drain was closed. Shower head sprayer cannot be adjusted properly. Stream is so fine it feels like it’s tearing your skin. We won’t be staying there again.

Our room was extremly hot.

Property was a little run down, small shower that you had to bend down for it to work, and room had a musty smell. We ended up checking out a day early due to conditions. Hotel offered refund for that day and staff was friendly and helpful.

This was the first time that I have ever left a hotel without staying there. I checked in at 10pm. There were several homeless people walking around, which is to be expected. My daughter and I were bringing in our luggage and the smell was overwhelming. The hieless were ciming in with their shopping carts. We turned and left.

No air conditioning the entire weekend. They brought me a box fan. In the summer. Will not stay again.

I stayed in room #103 and did not have any Wifi in my room. Told the front desk and they said there was nothing they could do.

The room was very clean, there was a garden tub in the room that wasnt functional which i thought was odd, but the room was clean. There was a shower/tub in the bathroom clean and working good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Eateries were walking distance. Only booked for one night and would stay again if needed. I will add that the indoor pool maybe needed some extra attention.

We got there around 3:00 to check in and our room was not ready and I told receptionist it was fine let me check in and I will come back. We got back to hotel a few hours later, went to our room it was dirty, beds were not clean and/or made, and TV was on as if someone was still staying in the room. We were given another room but not very clean.

You get what you pay for the room wasn’t trashed or anything but you could tell it wasn’t clean definitely needed some upkeep on the room door was chipped paint wasn’t done all the way to the trim there was dirt in the corners of the bathroom the sink had cracks and a yellow ring around the spout like I said you get what you pay for if recommend spending a little extra and going somewhere else the breakfast also wasn’t that great at all

One night stop, the place has an affordable price but is definitely not the best. The sink and bathroom had rust all over, the wall paint is falling apart,I could hear the noise from the traffic on the street and the train on top of my upstairs neighbors. The only fair thing was the continental breakfast but someone had spill liquid on the floor which cause my child to slip and fall, when I told the attendant that the floor was wet he just said OK but did not place a sign to prevent other people from falling or hurting themselves. Very poor service

Usually pretty awesome folks i used to work for thier son who passsed && today they said i couldn't stay any longer because my son got slime on a top sheet which i paid for regardless to top it off front desk morning lady was rude as could be knowing today was the anniversary of my mothers passing ... only staff that was more than amazing was the blonde && the rom attemdants.
