Staff is so rude and unprofessional.

You get what you pay for. Had to change rooms last minute because I wasn’t able to climb stairs. Was not told room was handicapped equipped, had an muggy smell, and tub was slow to drain.

Old motel has roaches not the La Quinta type of property we’re use to staying in.

The staff was very helpful the room was very clean..

Nothing fancy, just a place to sleep and shower before continuing out travels.

Property was a bit run down, there were dirty q tips outside my room on the floor. The room was clean except for drips on the bathroom door, not sure what that was, hopefully not bodily fluids?

This place is awful! It was filthy and the staff did not help at all.

This was by far the worst hotel we’ve stayed in. The entire place was sketchy and run down. The room next to us had a window broken out. Hair in the sheets. Traffic was loud. AC was loud and kept everyone up. Traffic was loud. When we tried to get breakfast, everything was gone. Absolutely hated it.

It was easy inconvenience in the status of shipment for breakfast. The next morning coffee was perfect.

I was really disappointed with this room. It smelled so horrible, and the floor was not clean. There were dead bugs back behind the beds, and you could cut the urine smell with a knife. Just because I travel with a service dog, doesn't mean I want a room that smells like pet urine. Not only that, charging me a pet fee for a room that clearly had been ruined by pets, seems unnecessary. When I complained, the front desk just said "sorry". I don't generally like to write bad reviews, but I won't be recommending this place.

The room we got was dirty, dusty and had many dead insects all aroundthe room. Looked like they try to remodel the room but didn't do a good job at that. Will not stay there again.

Room was clean, bathroom nice but a bit cramped. Microwave had issues with opening it. TV was a bit confusing to operate, then no local news channels. Breakfast was excellent. They actually had round sausage instead of links. I would advise getting room in back away from the freeway.

Arrived at the hotel and got our room key. Went to the room and looked around before settling in, found hair all over the shower. The light in the bathroom didn’t work along with the mirror having a huge crack in it. There were stains on the sheets and looked like the room was cheaply remodeled. I immediately was uncomfortable. We decided to go back to the front desk, explain the situation and ask if they had any other rooms. The guy that we had spoke to prior when we were checking in….(His name is Drew)was super nice, and once we calmly explained the situation his whole demeanor towards us changed and he got super defensive. I told him I was uncomfortable staying in there to which he said “ You have to understand this place was built in the 1930’s”. We asked if he had any other rooms available, to which he said “ Their all going to be the same way” and we asked for clarification, you mean all the rooms have stains on the sheets and broken appliances? To which he said “probably”. He then ended up saying that they didn’t have anymore rooms available so we decided it was a perfect opportunity to find somewhere else to go. Also….when I reserved the room a week prior, it told me the room was going to be $112 after taxes, I looked at my card when we got in the car to look for a different hotel and saw my card had been charged $164. Please avoid this place at all costs. I don’t know why he needed to be so rude about it instead of just being understanding.

The breakfast. The room was not clean. The floor was sticky and left a black residue on our shoes and socks. The shower and bathroom had holes that bugs were crawling through as well as hair from previous people. Behind the chairs were large dust balls and the room itself had an unpleasant odor.

The room had been recently renovated, however, the towel rack in the bathroom was coming off the wall and the door between the commode and the sink areas sticks in the frame (sticks at the top) and is extremely difficult to open. Opening it is pulling the door apart at the top.

The staff was sooo incredibly friendly. This sometimes makes or breaks a stay! The lady hosting the breakfast area was a super friendly grandma-type and we felt sooo welcomed. She was so accommodating! And the front desk crew was equally friendly! The food was good, too. The room was clean.

Parking was right outside our room so it made unloading so easy. The room was very clean and fresh and the beds were very comfortable, and the shower was huge!! Plenty of towels. Breakfast was wonderful and the area well maintained. The lady over this was very friendly as were the ladies at registration! Very good stay!

The staff were very friendly! Unfortunately, the stay went downhill after checking in. The room initially looked nice but had kind of a musty smell. Linens appeared clean but the room was not. The remote had a sticky substance on it, the doors had obviously not been wiped down in some time. There were dirty brown fingerprints on the bathroom door and hair stuck to the door with some sort of sticker. The outer door looked like it was previously damaged and poorly repaired. The shower had good water pressure but my feet were already dirty after walking out of the bathroom to the bedroom. The continental breakfast was decent. Overall I would rate this as a 1.5/5 and I normally stay at 4/5 hotels. Oops! I would not stay here again.

Denny’s is right next to the hotel making a meal very easy.

The check-in and check-out staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was already out of coffee when we checked out at 7:00 so we left without.

The room did not have a pleasant smell to it. Smelled like it was a smoking room prior. AC did not keep up overnight so room got hot. Bed was ok and shower did have good pressure to it. Room needs to be updated!

And good location

The property appeared to be recently updated. My room looked nice with new flooring and artwork and a big screen TV. However, the floors, which were laminate, were dirty. They didn’t look dirty but my feet got dirty walking barefoot. The wall outlet under the desk had a socket that didn’t work so the lamps couldn’t be used without unplugging the TV. Still, the bed was comfortable and the A/C worked great. There was a new walk in shower.

The sliding door for the bathroom didn't close properly (~1 inch crack) and afforded little privacy. The exhaust fan was very noisy. Two ice machines were a little hard to get to: one was up a flight of stairs ( no elevator)and the other was outside by the pool. We booked here because it was less expensive for the room and the dog. It is clear why.

Front desk staff was nice.

Only issue no shower gel left in bottle. Also no hand soap in bottle by sink.

Our experience was awful. The rooms were not cleaned. Spiders in our room. Had to ask for changed of our beds. Just was not happy.

Hotel was affordable and in a convenient location but it was not well maintained. Stained bath towels, chipped paint on walls, broken coffee maker in the room and the room was not cleaned super well.

Clean, remodeled room, friendly staff and good breakfast, I would stay here again.

The positives. Kind staff. Affordable. Breakfast area was good, not great, but nice. A meager, but sufficient place to sleep especially if you're on the go. Solutions. A little color in the rooms will liven them up. Some art on the walls. Find a theme for the whole place before you finish up the remodel. Fresh paint on the doors - inside and out. Rethink a few items on your breakfast offerings.

Check in was easy; the staff was pleasant. The room was average. The floor did not feel clean under bare feet and we spent the evening swatting 3 flies that were bothersome. The road noise was evident and we had noisy neighbors who spent the evening yelling and shouting to each other both inside and outside in the parking area. Someone’s car alarm went off several times throughout the evening. I texted the staff at the number supplied for “if you need anything” to let them know that we were not happy about the noise but had no response from them. We left at 6:30am to get back on the road with not as restful a night as we were hoping for. Can’t really recommend this one. I wouldn’t book again.

Stayed here with the family on a road trip. When I booked it says sleep 5 people. Had two queen beds and we are family of five. Shady place and did not feel comfortable with the family. Will never book this ever again.

There was continuous foul smell coming in front of the room. It was terrible and we couldn’t stand it. When complained to the front desk, they said this is how it is in the morning and they can’t do anything about it. It’s a avoid for me.

The shower was not slip proof and there was no grab bar. I am 72 and thank God I didn't fall. I would not let my husband take a shower since he has Parkinsons and is not steady.

Very good all things there

The hotel is conveniently located near several fast-food restaurants and other dining options, making it easy to grab a meal without having to drive far. They also offered a complimentary breakfast that looked well stocked with a nice variety of options. I didn’t have a chance to try the food, but I did enjoy the coffee before we got back on the road. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone passing through Amarillo. It was clean, comfortable, conveniently located, and exactly what we needed after a long day of traveling.

We called to say we were going to check in very late- response was”I am marking it dow and drive safely”. We arrive at 11:50pm with 2 children and was told we gave your room away because we oversold. Baymont is next door maybe they have something. Not even an apology and the did have us marked for late arrival - they knew and did not care!

Little older and not super clean. Multiple giant flies in the room when I finally got in my room. First time I drove all the way to other side of property to check in and key didn’t work. They weren’t surprised at front desk.

Solid stay when you’re passing through. Rooms were clean and modern looking. For 96 bucks for a night it was worth it. Staff was terrific.

Rooms were dirty, horrible breakfast. Linen hadnt been washed, floors were not mopped. Motel turned franchise hotel and it shows.

The outdoor stairs do not look safe at all! Need to replace the cement it’s crumbling and the walk way to the rooms outside is sloping and not safe at all! Many cracks. Why do you remodel and not make the stairs and walkway look better and safer! Goodness me! Room was really comfortable. Toilet seat in bathroom slips around! Good grief! Replace the toilet seat! The breakfast room was too crowded we had to eat at Dennys! It was not a good lay out. Had to squeeze to get coffee and decided nah not worth it we just went to Dennys. Great atmosphere and great coffee at Dennys! Not such a great experience but would we stay again. MAYBE!

Didn’t even end up staying turned in my rooms keys & changed hotels. The property isn’t well maintained at all. The door to our room you could see the outside from didn’t feel safe for my kids. Also dog hair on the bed , long hairs on toilet seat, the bath was dirty, & their were a bunch of flies in the room. There was a gentleman smoking in his room above us blasting music. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone with kids. I’m very disappointed in La Quinta because this doesn’t seem like it is being taken care of as all the other La quintas I have been to. Will be contacting my card company to dispute this charge.

Exceeded our expectations, the rooms were nicely cleaned. The staff are welcoming, during breakfast hours, there is lots to choose from, that was our favorite part. && The air conditioning is perfect!!!! Works great!!!

The room was terribly dirty and we had to go to another hotel. It was absolutely disturbing there was hair that wasn’t ours there was toilet paper when we first got there that we didint use and the pillows had black disgusting gunk in there that made me want to throw up. We had to get out of there and get to another hotel as soon as possible. Absolutely disgusting never going back again.

Pictures were deceiving, rooms were sticky and kind of gross. Shower was creepy, someone tried to get into our room in the night.

The room size was good for a family of four, but the cleanliness was disappointing. There was thick dust, gum stuck in the shower booth, bugs, and an unpleasant smell like an old basement. The breakfast was just okay, not very good.

Dirty room

This motel was so rundown and nasty looking that I did not even go inside. I immediately made other arrangements. I am currently trying to get a refund as the pictures on Hotel.com do not show the real condition of this establishment. I would never book here

The beds arw very comfortable & clean and the pool was well maintained. We 3 stared the cleanliness of the rooms due to the floors had not been swept & was very dirty to the point of needing to leave our socks on to walk around. The shower had not been cleaned & long black hair stuck to the walls & floor & enter-twined in the wash clothes. The towels & clothes were clean though. When asked for another day of wash clothes from a maid the next morning she was to busy arguing with someone on her phone & she just waved me away & said, "no, I don't have, no!" We would recommened this facility for the ease of getting to most places of interest & very close to many places to eat.

Our door lock kept jamming, but overall was still a good night
