Perfect for our purposes. Nothing not to like.

This was a great place to stay as we were passing through. Very clean, quiet and the breakfast was good. We will defiantly stay here again!

New, modern facility conveniently located near I40 on the west end of Amarillo. Ideal for an overnight stay for those heading west. The included buffet breakfast is good, not great. Ample parking. Nice indoor pool. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff was extremely friendly, the lobby was well lit, even arriving at 11 o’clock gave you a sense of great security, the room was very nicely decorated, had a wonderful layout, included thoughtful amenities, such as dove brand, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, Keurig, coffee maker, and cake, cups, and was very spacious. Not to mention, one of the most comfortable hotel mattresses that we’ve had in all of our various travels. You won’t be disappointed.

I had issues with my flight and my check in was extremely late. The staff were great, very understanding and the night gal even stayed late to make sure my check in went smoothly. I was able to snag breakfast to start the day, and always appreciate a place where this is still included in the cost of the stay. Good variety of options. Current construction did make it a little interesting to get to in the dark, but it’s very accessible once you know where you’re headed. My one suggestion for improvement is to find a way to make the doors to rooms and hallways soft close….I was awoken several times from doors closing in the halls.

I was relocating from one state to another and called the hotel a few hours in advance to ask if there would be a staff member who could help me unload MANY items to my room on the first floor. The young woman, Vennai (spelling?) was very pleasant and professional and said that someone could help. Joe, who also works at the front desk was my delightful helper. I SO appreciate Joe and Vennai! I was quite exhausted and they were both so kind and professional! Many thanks!

Dog friendly and plenty of room to walk them around. Soft sheets and spacious, airy room.

I would not recommend this hotel if you have small children. The doors are SO LOUD and slam in the hallways. We could hear the upstairs room like they were in our room. The tvs are old and you cannot stream shows. If you are allergic to animals I would also not stay here as this is the place for people with animals to stay. Overall, I would not stay here again. Only redemption was the breakfast.

It was a great 2 night stay. Room was clean and the staff were friendly.

Would not stay here again. Booked two large rooms for several days, only one had a working AC. After switching to another room, the AC still did not work. No AC in the halls or common areas. Had an issue with the booking but the Manager and staff were very helpful in resolving the issue for us.

The check in was simple and quick. The front desk personnel was very kind and helpful, and my room was clean and very comfortable.

Continent location

The room was very nice and clean and included a small kitchenette (mini fridge had a freezer which was a plus). The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. The complementary breakfast was very good and well stocked. There was also plenty of parking and the area felt safe. The only thing that we would have liked differently was an outdoor pool but we understood for the area that most pools are indoors. We didn’t use the pool area. Out of the 6 hotels that we recently stayed at during our 3 week road trip, I would say that this was our favorite and met all of our needs during our overnight stop.

The bed was super comfy

Dislikes - Floor as you entered room and bathroom was very sticky, probably from cleaning agent used. While room had been updated, still showing some wear: older tub, bathroom door peeling, cracks in tile. Bed was too firm. Could hear some noise from rooms and hallway.

All went well up until check out. Due to a small number of luggage carts, and the fact people were hoarding them the checkout process was delayed significantly. Front desk was of no help and we felt he was being bothered by our request.

The pool doesn’t say anything about closing at 10pm and we paid for the pool and hot tub use but was denied use. Nothing posted about closing time either. This morning woke up with a little spider in my bed. Customer beware.

Cons: Ridiculous amount of flies in the lobby that I knew were going to be a nuisance at breakfast, and they were. Saw fly lights, but they were not installed properly. Ask your pest control guy to raise them up to eye-level or higher. Breakfast staff was very nice and accommodating. Gentleman working checkout was also nice and friendly. We would stay at this location again if ever in Amarillo.

I can’t say enough good things about this property! I had to book this at the last minute and there was availability. The staff was all very helpful. The breakfast was delicious and everything you could want. Rooms were clean pool was clean and well-maintained. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The “suite” it says you’re booking at an all suites hotel - is not the room they gave me or said I booked. But the pics showed a suite and said 400 sqft- it was tiny- not a suite at all. The maid was screaming and banging on doors all morning. I asked her to stop- she would not. When I was leaving I told her she woke us and it wasn’t very cool and she was rude and said she had to do do it and then refused to give me her name. Said she didn’t have to give me her name. The housekeeping manager was standing there the whole time and did nothing. I went downstairs and spoke to the GM - he said he was sorry but gave me “points” to make up for it. Points at a hotel I would never got to again. 3/10 would not go again.

Convenient

Clean, comfortable, enjoyable.

Overall the stay was good. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to charge my Tesla overnight. But the TV was very frustrating to use. No guide. I just had to flip channels.

Pretty new property, so nice. Other than the refrigerator sounding like it was dropping ice all the time and one of the curtains not opening was nice. Lot's of pets there in the event you have an issue with this.

This was the most comfortable stay in our entire trip. We stayed here twice and both times did not disappoint. The rooms are extremely comfortable, and breakfast is standard at all Holliday inns. Nothing the stay was great.

The bathroom had no vent and the windows don’t open - so no fresh air. There will be mold soon in the bathroom with no vent. Vent way more important than a TV! Breakfast was gross. AC was not consistent/ either too hot or too cold and I had to adjust it all night.

The property was very clean and it was comfortable. The front desk was not the kindest nor rude. I would say a bit dry but we only stayed for a night. Amenities seem good but we did not have the chance to use them (pool and gym). Breakfast was good, pancakes were a bit chewy but eggs and potatoes were good.

The hotel was nice, clean and modern with plenty of hook ups for electronic devices. We liked the late checkout of noon. Rooms are not soundproof as we could hear people walking above us. Thankfully, we had a fan to drown out the noise.

Challenge was room 104. There is a terrible droning throb of a low frequency resonance. There was not much staff could do. It was not music. I tried to sleep but the ear buds to try to cancel out the noise are not meant to sleep with. Shame, nice place but bad mechanical planning.

Breakfast was wonderful, there were lots of hot selections on top of the normal continental breakfast.

The room was well appointed, roomy and the design was well thought out. Outside noise was not much of a problem. Television could have been a bit larger. All in all great room for the money. We would stay there again!

We stay here each time we travel through Amarillo. Staff is very kind and courteous. Room was clean. The location of the hotel is quiet and easy access to the highway.

Hotel accommodations were fine. My only complaint was the towels. They were old, stained, and rough. I expect for $200 to have soft clean towels. Room was comfortable and breakfast was great!

We traveled with a small dog and they accommodated our stay in a wonderful way! Excellent breakfast, diversified and fresh. The hotel was very clean, comfortable beds and pillows, and the overall experience was pleasant and homey. Great location, close to shops and restaurants, easy access to freeway.

We always stay at this Holiday Inn Express as it is our favorite rest stop when traveling to Colorado. The beds are comfy, it’s very clean, and always a good breakfast before hitting the road early the next day. Would highly recommend!

Breakfast was honestly sub par, having to swipe your card in the elevator when your arms are full is inconvenient. Staff was nice and rooms were clean and bed was cozy.

Great stay, very new and clean. Breakfast was good. We brought our dog with us and it was very convenient as there was a nice office park adjacent to the property with sidewalks to walk her in the morning. I will plan to stay again on my way to Colorado.

The indoor pool reaked of chlorine, it was awful.

Great place to stay plus the EV charge was convenient for us.

You would think with the technology that exists in the world, hotels would build better sound barriers between floors. We could hear every single step the room above us was taking. They weren't stomping, these were normal steps and they were loud enough to keep me up at night. This is a shame as everything else was perfect.

The only thing that I would suggest…the area for pets to potty had stickers and my dog would not go there once she got stuck.

The hotel was very clean. The staff was friendly and the check-in went smoothly. Our room was exactly what we expected except the toilet had some problem and you had to take the back off in order to make it stop running.

Breakfast was good. The guest were so loud. Dogs barking all through the night. People slamming doors and talking loudly up and down the halls. The rooms were not very sounds proof. The shampoo and conditioner was awful. But overall a good hotel. I think the cliental was bad while I was there. I would choose another place if I pass through Amarillo.

Everything and everyone was great! The room was cold, but, not due to hotel issue. My husband loved it that way! I’m just a lot more cold natured than he is. 😉. All in all, I certainly would return. 👏

We will stay here again. The bathroom was much better than most properties where we have stayed. The bed was comfortable and the room was decorated nicely. Breakfast staff was friendly and made sure everything was fresh and hot. The only negative was that there was a musty smell when you walk in the front dooor.
