We love staying at Holiday in all locations. The Holiday in SW Amarillo was not as five star as other locations. Maybe they're updating? The staff was great. My husband said the breakfast was good.

I’ve stayed here before and it was better but this time it was dirty and the room was dimly lit, the sitting area was damp, found dirty washcloth in shower, trash bag missing from trashcan in room, spare sheets for couch had no actual sheet just a duvet cover. Really disappointed this time.

The Gentleman who was working the check in desk was great. He was very busy and did an excellent job. He was checking in customers, helping someone who was having trouble with the coffee machine, running towels out to the pool, all with a great attitude.

Breakfast was BAD! egg whites only, cold crock pot gravy, frozen microwave sausage link. Go across the street to braums and save your appetite

Exceptional

Our room had a desk chair and ONE additional chair besides the bed. Certainly NOT the standard we've had at Holiday Inn in the past. No couch (and obvious space where there should have been - or once was). No table. Disappointing. Bed was hard. We would have requested another room, but once we settled in - didn't want to hassle with moving.

Our room was dirty. We switched rooms because the bedding on both queens in our first room was stained and dirty. Second room was not much better but after hours in a car I didn’t care anymore because they were all probably dirty. The AC was not working.

Good breakfast. Room was not the cleanest and the bathroom fan was not operational which kept the bathroom pretty damp the rest of the day after 4 showers in the morning.

I really like that we were able to get on the highway to head to our next destination. The front desk person was also very kind and attentive. When I book a hotel I always look for a hot tub and free breakfast. The hot tub was not working. If I would have known that I would have chosen a different location. I wish there was a way to know if those are not working before booking.

The staff were very friendly, The front desk staff were very helpful and polite. The room was very nice the breakfast was quite nice as well. The house keeping staff was friendly and polite as well. Great location for our visit. The fitness room smelled like mold, the ceiling in the breakfast area closest to the swimming pool area has water damage and open holes with brown stains around it. The hot tub was broken and the water in it was green. Before we left for the day to visit family we put the door tag in our room so the staff could clean and change towels and linen, (they were loading the carts for cleaning when we left) , when we came back that evening there was another tag hanging on the out side of the door as well as the one inside and nothing had been cleaned in the room. When I took the used towels and cloths to the front desk they said house keeping had told them we were still in the room when they came to clean it. (Wrong)

Room was great. A c worked great in our room. Breakfast was very good and plenty of selections. Air conditioning was out in the lobby hallways and breakfast area made it uncomfortable.

The check in staff was very friendly. The bed was comfortable as I expected. The location was very isolated. No attractions or real resturants within walking distance. The automated coffee makers didn’t work properly. The person who was doing the breakfast was 15 minutes late. Didn’t have knowledege on how to fix the coffee makers.

We were not made aware of the extra expense for the pet until we got there. That was a hidden fee that needed to be disclosed at booking. The toilet in our room was extremely low. The entire cost of the room was over inflated for the the lack of amenities

A/C did not keep room cold. Had no body wash in shower. Beds was like sleeping on concrete

The room and hotel is very clean. I appreciated all the help I received.

The beds looked like they were thrown together not crisp like I am used to with HIE. There was a dead bug on the carpet. The handicap ramp in front of the building is crumbling which would make it difficult for someone using a walker or wheel chair.

Debris left in microwave. Food left in the refrigerator. AC remote thermostat not working. Tile in room loose. Dirty hallways. Broken paneling in elevator. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The breakfast would have been better if it were at least warm. The serving line does little to keep the eggs, sausage, or biscuits warm. Though there is a sign for bacon, none was available either day. Coffee was good.

I wouldn’t say spotless…. Pubic hair in bathtub.

All the staff, particularly the breakfast/front desk, were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of selections. We also used the pool, clean and fun!

Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Bathroom fixtures were old. There was also a bug running around in the bathroom. Breakfast items were not fresh (probably have been sitting in the warmers since 6am). Coffee was cold. No staff member seen to manage the breakfast area. Front desk staff was very nice and friendly.

Very clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great! Only thing is the elevator vibrated when it stopped at a floor. Parking was limited had to park in lower lot, but not at fault of the hotel staff.

Nice place with a great pool. Showing a little wear, but very clean. Good breakfast, always like the Holiday Inn cinnamon rolls. On the edge of town, but close to a lot of restaurants.

The tub/shower wouldn’t drain properly.. Evidently an older building, as lots of cosmetic work needs to be done.

Bathroom clean. Breakfast good. Excercise room decent. Only thing that seemed amiss was the hand sanitizer dispensers. Most of rhem were not working.

The bathroom exhaust wasn’t working

Overall very nice stay for one night in our way from vacation in Yellowstone!

Convenient location for nearby wedding venue

Had a great but short stay here. The staff were all very friendly and good communicators. The room felt very spacious and was completely clean.

The motel was nice, not great. The breakfast was better than expected. Makes me reconsider HI breakfasts.

Gentlemen at front desk was friendly, would check and see if we needed anything. Hotel was clean, breakfast was so good nice variety. Overall a very pleasant experience would stay again.

We stay here ever fourth but this time our room was not the greatest. The floor in our room was sticky n so were the carpets . I’ve never been on the ground floor . The fan wasn’t working they did service it right away . This wasn’t my favorite stay

Overall a quality stay. Our room though was not lighted well. Only lights were two on wall by bed, and a desk lamp.

A/C in lobby not working

Hotel is a little bit rough around the edges. For example several spots in the ceiling in break area that were water damaged, rusty door frames in pool area. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable not a hard mattress. A little bit of work on the worn areas needed to bring back to IHG standards.

We had a great stay at this hotel. My only complaint is that the window in our room was in desperate cleaning on the inside. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room had plenty of room for the two of us.

Convenient for hopping on frwy. Could've been cleaner in our room.

Internet kept going off and later came back on. We were the east side of the hotel facing I27. It was extremely noisy.

The staff were great, the room was just what we needed, and the breakfast was good. We usually stop on I 40 in Amarillo, but this will be our new stopping point. Easy to get in and out if you are pulling a trailer and better price for this type of hotel.

plumbing issue in the room. Despite my request for someone to check and address the problem, no one has come to inspect or fix it during our stay nor provided any other assistance.

Hotel was very clean staff friendly

Location was perfect for our trip. Was very clean. A few complaints, the pool and spa were closed. The highway seems to be like a race track and was very noisy which made it hard to sleep. Walls seemed paper thin and could hear everything going on in other rooms.

The lady at the desk was wonderful, very helpful and kind and full of information. The sink faucet sqeaked. Our bed was lumpy and soft and uncomfortable! The breakfast was very good. Neither my husband nor i slept well.

Check in was very fast. The clerk was extremely nice and helpful. The property was a little away from shopping & dining but definitely worth it. Our room was a little noisy so next time we plan on getting a room on the top floor. The room had tons of room. Quiet from street noise only upstairs room noise. We will be staying here again.

First, the staff member on duty when we arrived late the first evening was very nice. He was friendly and engaging every time we encountered him. The room was the issue. The toilet wouldn’t flush well and was constantly running. I fixed that myself. There were stains on sheets and random stains all around the room. The general cleanliness of the room was below average. Attention to detail would go a long way. The breakfast was average for a hotel like this, but the prepackaged muffins were moldy. We ate other things, but still. Not what we wanted to see. The location was fine and access to Amarillo and Canyon was great. I’d stay here if again if there wasn’t another option, but it was slightly below average, primarily due to cleanliness and attention to details.

Everything was fine, just know you have to pay a deposit it no matter if you pay with card or cash.

Asked about late check out options and the person at the desk was rude about it. Just needed the extra hour

Good pet friendly hotel with nice breakfast. Older hotel rooms but comfortable beds. Rooms were nice and clean. Location is a bit out of the way.

Easy on and off freeway. Rooms could use a better cleaning. But all in all I say a 7.0

Usually stay in one the Amarillo HI properties. This one is very convenient to I-27. The hotel was clean as expected and the personnel was friendly as usual. Just one request I would have is please clean the elevator a couple of times a day to remove the dirt messy patrons leave behind. The room was spacious and clean.

I contacted the front desk, the sheets had a stains on. It looked like it wasn’t changed out. Trash cans were full. Room smells, Elevator dirty, I would be happy to submit pictures of all the above.

Quick stay but Jerimiah was great

The front desk lady was super nice and helpful. When we got to our room the bathroom wasn’t clean, toilet had feces in it and the trash wasn’t taken out. The shower curtain was filthy. I found the housekeeper and she came quickly to clean the bathroom. The tile in the elevators waiting area haven’t been cleaned in awhile. The place just needs a good scrubbing.

We had no problem with our room! The hot tub was out of service Anna had been a LONG time according to staff. The one elevator has a horrible sound!!!

Chose this hotel for the indoor pool and hot tub. Pool area was out of service. Great hotel for our trip to Palo Duro Canyon other than sore hiking muscles and no hot tub

When we arrived our room had a ladder in it and the thermostat was off of the wall it was obvious they were working on it and not ready for guests. The front desk got us another room but was not apologetic about it. The new room was nice but the bathroom floor was not swept and the nightstand was dirty. The spa was broken and the pool said closed but informed us after asking that we could swim they just don’t turn the sign over! Overall I would stay again but wish they were a little more friendly and things worked better.
