Room was exceptionally clean and spacious. Mattress was heavenly! Will definitely stay again when traveling through Amarillo!
- 4/5
A bit dirty on the room entrance; lots of foreign hair visible in the morning sun!
- 3/5
The carpet in the room is kinda dirty and so wet and the shower curtain is too thin, the hook is broken, toilet paper is super thin and had holes. The entrance floor of the swimming pool is very slippery. The front desk is very quiet and not friendly at all.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay after a long day of driving.

The jacuzzi, which we specifically looked for when booking this trip, was cold and broken. At check out , I mentioned this to the desk clerk and all she said was “Well, You’re third party.” I asked her to explain and she said that since we booked through somewhere else we would need to contact them about it. No apology no other comment, except that we were “3rd party” and that’s it. It was odd, rude, and unprofessional. For people who don’t care about service, the room was comfortable.

Stayed here because of its locality to The Big Texan and the freeway. It was clean and breakfast was included. Value for money for an overnight stay.

Breakfast was an extra charge, would have nice to know that before we booked.

The absolute best mattress at a hotel in recent experience. Just had issue with the listing about breakfast. If it's listed in the amenities then I assumed it would be included. Many years ago every holiday inn I stayed at always included free breakfast. However this one was listed as "Breakfast served daily". When we checked in, we learned that breakfast was not included in the room price, but was available for $15 a person. For nearly the same room price the Hampton gave free breakfast. Disappointed that the vocabulary used on Expedia allows that to be confused.

Nice newer hotel, walking distance to Big Texan
- 4/5
The breakfast was too expensive for what was offered. That breakfast should be included in the room as a default not an add on or it should be upgraded significantly to pay for the $15 fee being charged.

Someone's dog puked in the elevator, they gave the dog owner a couple napkins to clean it up but did not use cleaner or disinfectant. Front staff didn't seem to care and 10-bucks for breakfast is fine but just include that coat with the room. Other than that it was clean.

The property was nice and clean. The food attendant was amazing! She welcomed everyone who came to breakfast. She refilled coffee for elderly people. She made sure everything was full. At one point a grandmother and her grand daughter came in at the very last minute. She had stated that they had come in after 1 am. The front desk morning girl was rude and indifferent. She told her she was too late. The breakfast attendant came over and told the front desk lady that they were fine to come have breakfast! She was wonderful as was the evening lady the evening we got there. I am thoroughly upset that a higher end hotel did not have security. We were moving our son and his family back to New Mexico. We had a U-Haul with a tow trolley. We were told to park around back which we did. It was broken in to that night, Our suitcases were stolen (3) in which diamond earrings were in one. My son, with Down Syndrome, had a suitcase with special clothes and products he needed. His brand new specially made wheelchair was damaged as they walked on it. My brand new grand baby's stroller and crib were taken. One Smart TV was taken while the other one was kicked in in the back. When reporting it to the same rude front desk lady, she uncaringly dismissed it stating they did not have security or cameras in the back and there wasn't anything they could to. We called the police and even though there were footprints and handprints, they wouldn't come out. They just took a report. We stayed at a Holiday Inn in Saint Louis, where they were exceptional, kind, and had security. I called specifically to check on security before booking and it was confirmed, We are so upset that this property didn't care, take a report, or offer any kindness during this duress!

Great place for price
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay especially with kids.
- 4/5
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were a bit firm for my taste, but overall a great experience. We will book again.
- 3/5
The hotel was clean but it now charges for the buffet breakfast, which was a surprise.
- 3/5
Front desk did their job is about all I can say. The hot tub was broken. No pool towels. Every room in the place was freezing cold. The room was clean and comfortable. The one thing that is the attitude of staff that needs to change.

Ask if the pool is working and make sure to request a different room if you see/have any maintenance issues in your room. You will not be taken care of.

They also went out of their way to stash our cooler of freshly caught crappie in their commercial freezer after an unexpected delay left us worried about our fish thawing. That's above and beyond by any measure. Rooms were very clean and the beds were genuinely comfortable. The indoor pool was a hit with the kids, and impressively the water was refreshingly cold even though the pool area itself was warm on a nearly 100 degree Amarillo day. Perfect combination for stressed out kids stuck in a city they didn't plan to be in. Would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone passing through Amarillo.

Room was changed to my card but when I arrived there was no room available for me.
- 4/5
Nice area. Hot tub wasn't working properly. Bar staff were eating food with their fingers while serving
- 3/5
Freeway noise is significant, and without the promise of an accessible pool we would not have chosen to stay on the scrappier east end of Amarillo. Breakfast bar is a decent deal at $10, with very friendly breakfast staff. Room is fine, a bit of damage to walls that is par for the course, but good spaces around beds for wheelchair mobility.

This was a one night layover and was perfect. Super clean, comfortable and convenient access to I40.
- 5/5
Nice to have a restaurant and a bar when you don’t feel like going out after driving all day.
- 5/5
Nice clean hotel. Great breakfast. Very spacious and clean rooms.
- 5/5
Martin helped bring up a lift chair for my disabled husband and set it up for him. The young Hispanic girl and the red headed girl at the desk were extra sweet. Very helpful & accommodating.

Our room was a suite which was spacious and quiet. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was much nicer than a continental. You could get a made to order omelet.

Was told to stay in the room and they would come up with new keys. It took like 30 minutes in a hot room till I left downstairs to see what the hold up was. Front desk was on her phone. Very inconvenient since it was late at night and we just wanted to sleep and rest.

I stay at Holiday Inn Express almost everywhere i go. The buffet here was the best I've had ayt any of my stays.

Beautful room, relaxing, Great staff, Wonderful Breakfast

After driving all day and arriving very late at night, Brianna was so accommodating! The next morning we had breakfast and Elvia was just the sweetest. They truly made a difficult trip so much better. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting or passing through Amarillo.

Property was nice and clean. The first room I was given the room door wouldn’t lock. We had to return to front desk and were given a different room where the door was secured and locked.
- 5/5
Didn’t like that you had to pay for breakfast, but whatever, we were there for the pool. The pool was adequate, but apparently if the doors aren’t propped open the fire alarm goes off. My kids had a blast and the hotel was close to the Big Texan, which is why we chose it. Not a glamorous hotel but was in budget and was great for our family of 6.
- 5/5
Nice room Good breakfast
- 5/5
Clean, friendly
- 3/5
Property very nice. However we were on the first floor and the noise above was horrible from running kids in the room above as well as down the hall. Noise went on til 11 pm and then again at 6am!
- 3/5
The hotel was your average Holiday Inn
- 1/5
Our car was broken into in the lot. The hotel didn’t have cameras but when I pressed it turns out only the owner has access to the few cameras they have. Beware.
- 4/5
Excellent bed! Staff was fairly response and courteous. The area around the property was inconvenient, no restraints near except for the steak house.
- 5/5
Professional and friendly front desk personnel
- 5/5
Good beds, clean rooms, and nice pool.
- 5/5
Beautiful, clean, spacious room. Great amenities. Will happily return!

Advertised as a handicap accessible room, but quite a distance from the elevators & no bar rails for my handicapped husband
- 5/5
Very nice and clean.

Very nice staff, clean rooms

We had to change room three times. The last room, the refrigerator didn’t work. In the second room the shower didn’t work. In the first room, there was dog hair all over the place.
- 3/5
I don’t understand why hotels that claim to be family friendly have barn doors that barely close let alone lock for the bathroom door. I’m not a fan. Also, the breakfasts have always been complimentary at holiday inn but this location charges and the actual buffet is the exact same as all other locations. So that seemed like a rip off. Room wasn’t as clean as we would have liked. Crumbs under a table. Food under the pull out couch. Normally holiday inn is a go to for me but I found this one to be under standards.
- 5/5
Great property and excellent staff.
- 5/5
Great location we loved the room! The room was very comfortable, the bed was perfect! The bartender at the bar was making some awesome drinks! The only drawback was there was no air vent in the bathroom! Will definitely stay there again!!
- 5/5
very easy to get to and the staff is top notch! I've stayed here for a 6 or 7 years and they're always reliable and great service! Best
- 4/5
Only downfall I can say is once again we stayed at a hotel with the pool not working. Staff was exceptionally kind and friendly! Definitely would stay again if passing through and need a hotel. 😊
- 3/5
The staff was rude
- 4/5
It was fine
- 4/5
The city shut down the pool and hot tub, which sucked, because that's why we booked this hotel. The "restaurant" only had pizza for an option for food. We received paper plates, plastic forks and knives that wouldnt even cut the pizza. Never had an experience like this and we travel a lot. On a good note. The gentleman that checked us in was very nice and the rooms are nice.
- 4/5
Great hotel except VERY poor lighting in the bathroom. The back lighting around the bathroom mirror was barely on, making putting on makeup nearly impossible. Only 2 well-lit areas: the bathtub and the entry way, which had no mirror.
- 4/5
My only issue is that breakfast was not included with my stay. Had I known this I would have stayed elsewhere. The breakfast was no different than any other hotel that would have had it included in the cost of staying there. It was definitely not worth the extra $10 a person. Its my fault for not checking when I made the booking.
- 4/5
First room didnt have the couch like purchased and had some type of what appeared to be bird poop on the floor. But after notifying the front desk, we were immediately sent to the right room and issue was resolved. Bathroom fan didnt work.
- 5/5
Was very easy to check in and breakfast was good!
- 5/5
Staff, particularly at the breakfast were excellent.
- 5/5
Nice place, the shower could have been just a little hotter, but it was OK
- 4/5
Clean and very well kept hotel. We stopped for the night in Amarillo with our kids. The Big Texan Steak Ranch is next door - the hotel is a great location. Will stay here again!
- 3/5
This property served its purpose as a road trip overnight stop, but I think there are others nearby that are better (like the Hampton Inn next door). We initially had to move rooms because the thermostat and toilet were broken. Though the pool and hot tub were functioning, our kids were disappointed because the door to the pool broke so we couldn’t swim. They also charge for breakfast that is comparable to other hotels where it is free. Our room faced the highway and was a bit loud, but the beds were comfortable. Overall, it is clean, safe, and has a mini mart, laundry, and a bar. The staff was very responsive, kind and helpful. It is also walking distance from Big Texan.
- 5/5
The hospitality was amazing! We were just driving through and staff is so friendly!
- 4/5
Nice but for a new hotel, couch cushion has stains, side entrance hall had leaves and out side debris in hall way.
- 5/5
Close to the Airport for our return flight.
- 1/5
Will not stay here again, and will stop staying at holiday inn if this is how it at all locations.
- 5/5
Great Service and staff !

Very clean and spacious rooms
- 4/5
Great place to stay when your trying to get home from skiing.
- 5/5
It was close to our work site and was a great hotel
- 4/5
Nice hotel, but restaurant had no food - zero. Hot tub was great temp, but only one jet worked at full strength. It's on the edge of town, so limited dining options nearly. Room and beds were very comfortable, and the staff were nice.
- 4/5
Very friendly staff

Pictures were deceiving. Room was not clean and in bad repair. Not satisfied
- 5/5
The carpet to tile transition was frayed. The hotel had very limited food options.
