The staff was rude I worked there for like a week and never received a paycheck and I don't want to fix it the staff I wanted to play the customers for things that they did and didn't want to listen like a man you're the one that gave us the extra sheets and then complain about that there was too many sheets on the bed I only took what you gave us and put it on the bed I had a housekeeper threatened to hit my dog because he jumped and was barking at them the pool don't get me started on the hot tub didn't work out if you're in a long time stayed they didn't bother to do housekeeping on your room and then complain when did you need to leave

The place is quite infested and dome rooms smell. Carpets and bathrooms are quite old and need a re-do. Their computer does not upload Expedia reservations automatically and every time I extended I was asked to checkout from the room and it took a while to clarify the issue. In fact the last time I extended paying directly at the reception.

Pool was closed, loud partiers outside, air conditioning trouble, TV trouble, plumbing issues... Staff was helpful but seemed really busy and stressed dealing with multiple issues.. not the most terrible of stays but definitely could have been better.

The staff was wonderful and very helpful answered all our questions. They tried to keep the hallways clean but was hard to do. Since some the guest wouldn't clean up after themselves.

I paid $67 for this hotel, about $40 less than other entry level motels in the area. This place is a little sketchy, but I would stay there again for the value. The bed was comfortable, the ac worked. It was reasonably clean. Any dirtier and I would not stay there. The free breakfast was 5 stars. The hotel attendant cooked fresh eggs, sausage, and hash browns fresh right before my eyes. Very good biscuits and gravy. Astonishingly good breakfast. I was on a solo trip just stoping for the night. It served its purpose well.

TV never works I have stayed there 6 times and have the TV work once. Supposedly they are upgrading the cable system?

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Was able to sleep well since things were quiet. Biggest issues were the people dealing drugs in the outside stairwells as well as smoking weed in them. As someone who is severely allergic to even the smoke it made it hard to get down to my vehicle.

Everything is great but a little worried with the parking and another guest recommended me not to park on the side so I parked in front instead.

Clean room

The room looks clean but very old fan did not work. TV did not work old couches that you sink into and torn. Lots of roaches just very old. The staff though was very helpful. It’s just the property wouldn’t go there again.I

First room was filthy. Second room the air conditioner wasn't working. Parking was sketchy people sitting out in their cars and lot needs repairing. We didn't stay asked for refund have not received that yet.

The lobby doesn’t have a/c, it is ridiculously hot when checking in. There was no remote for the Tv and had to request this twice. Maintenance replaced the cable, but still couldn’t get any cable channels, only had 3 channels available. No shampoo or conditioner available. The phone in the room didn’t work, the line had actually been cut. Find another place to stay, this was pretty bad.

Dirty rooms left dirty sheets on the bed. Staff very rude need customer service training or hire differently. TV were not working. Someone dog took a poop in the hallway they just left the species there. Very disappointed and disturbed about the property it needs to be condemned until work put in. Air conditioning in both rooms leaking water on floor. Overall just very horrible condition

Didn’t say until after checking in the elevator was broken. A tweaker was checking in right before me and she used her room that night for a steady stream of sketchy men coming in staying 5-15 minutes and then leaving. Large dog barking late at night in the hall so it echoed through the atrium. Children running around yelling with no supervision. Orange caps to needles on the floor with food remnants. Rust all over the bathroom. Loose shower tiles. Blood looking stains on the damaged chair. Ripped drapes. Long black hair woven into the “clean” towels. Stains on sheet and duvet. Cracked/chipped/rotting bathroom door. Land lord special with paint over wall damage. Fire sprinkler painted over. Front desk having a screaming match with someone trying to check in. The water pressure in the shower was good though. Was surprised Breaking Bad Amarillo had good pressure on the third floor.

I called around 7pm to let them know I would be arriving around 2-3am. They said okay. When I got there at 2:50 they informed me they over booked and had no rooms available. I had just traveled 6 hours to get there then still had another 6 hours to go before home. I had 5 other people with me. All hotels in the area were sold out. Ended up having to drive the full 6 hours back home

The rooms themselves were comfortable and pretty clean. The bed was comfortable and clean! The room itself was a bit tired… but definitely better than other hotels in the area. The staircase on the exterior ends of the building had cigarette butts on the ground… some patron who didn’t care enough to walk outside. One of the 2 elevators was not working- and I noticed a few broken windows on the backside of the building with cardboard- maybe a storage room?? breakfast was hot eggs sausage toast- in spit of those things - I would stay here again if I were in town - the bed was comfortable and clean-and affordable

We stay there for more than 10 days they didn’t clean we keep telling when are they going to clean and keep saying tomorrow no toilet paper was available I have to keep clean my own room they allowed lots of teenagers smoking on the entrances the smell is terrible rooms are horrible last year it was really different very nice and clean but this year was a nightmare

Why bother with this place when they tell you that you have to do a $50 "refundable" deposit with checkin that isnt mentioned anywhere on the booking site. And its just for incidentals. I stayed Saturday night, was told it would be refunded in the morning. Come Tuesday no refund. They are scammers and this place is horrible. It smells of weed, damp,and bad decisions. Room was so flippin hot and the A/C unit was not big enough to handle it. The perfume or cleaner used to hide the smell of damp was overwhelming that you can choke on it. The beds are nothing but springs and the TV was never hooked up to any sort of cable so no way to actually relax. Just stay away from this place. The pictures they show MUST be outdated. The vibes were off, outside the hotel was cooler than inside which says a lot.

I have very low standards, and this is the first time I’ve encountered a motel so repulsively maintained that I couldn’t stay. I wasn’t able to get a refund, yet still chose to leave and upgrade to the next cheapest option nearby, which was a world of improvement.

AC was not working, had to change rooms, only one out of the elevators worked, pool was murky, none of the ice machines worked, no breakfast one day because the breakfast lady didn't show. The day we did get breakfast it was pretty good. The staff was friendly and tried their best but they need maintenance bad.

I even took pictures. The next one was better. Wi-fi is really bad.

Blankets was stained and no shower curtain on arrival but they changed everything at my request. Very respectful 3 stars. Location was almost perfect because of all the restaurants located around the hotel and most attractions are only 20 minutes away. Will come back again

This property is disgusting. We cannot believe it is even offered by Expedia. Please remove it as an option for Amarillo. Furniture looked like it was from 50's. Smelled terrible throughout. We checked in and immediately left. Please refund my money.

The very well dressed man at the front desk was super personable and knowledgeable about surrounding areas and where we were heading. By far our favorite stay of our vacation.

The staff were friendly and seemed to really work well together. BUT management must not budgeted for cleaners for the common areas. The room we slept it was fine but as soon as you step out, what a contrast! Trash, finger prints on every surface, dirty carpets, and along list of little undone repairs. Many people live here permanently, and though the residents were nice enough, we were the odd one's staying for just a night. We do not regret coming but do not plan to repeat it — unless we fall on hard times and need to move in.

Good experience with family.

I was initially issued keys to a room that was occupied. The guest in that room wasn't thrilled to have people try to bathe into his room. When I went to the desk to get issued a different room the front desk clerk tried to argue that nobody was in the original room. Once I arrived to the room, it was musty. After going to bed, I woke up with a roach crawling on my face. I then found several other roaches in the room before checking out. After sleeping with roaches, I felt nasty and wanted a shower. There was black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. At that point, I just wanted to go. I sat on the couch to put my socks on and sat on something super sticky that smelled like Marijuana. All in all, it was probably the worst hotel experience I've ever had. At checkout, when I addressed the staff regarding this, they only asked which room. There wasn't even an apology issued.

Stay there for 2 weeks. Ask them to clean my room, never did.I asked them to fix my TV never did. Never got any clean towels. We'll never stay again

I found it odd that the walls at the entry of the rooms were glass and had heavy curtains.

It's a bit run down but clean and a great place to rest.

Always my go to hotel when I am passing through. I love how beautiful the interior of the hotel is and it has a homey feeling. Staff is always amazing and location is great!

Rooms are nice, AC is cold, parking is decent, the staff are great, they help you with anything! Pool is nice being indoors, many of restaurants close by, I will be back again for sure!

Old hotel good enough for a short layover, one or two nights at most, helpful staff, weak WiFi, some of the comments were spot on regarding cleanliness and parking lots but the hotel serves it’s purpose, and if you’re looking for a five star hotel, I’ll suggest you look somewhere else.

I reserved a non-smoking room and the 1st room they gave me reaked of smoke, the 2nd room smelled good but the shower had no pressure, the toilet would almost over flow before flushing and the TV just said "No Signal". When I called the front desk about the TV, I was told that maintenance would be right up, they never came. Plus the hot tub was out of service. I used to stay here frequently when visiting family, but never again!

The first time I walked in to this place, the lobby was like a sauna it was so hot. We proceeded to our room and it also was very uncomfortably hot. They moved us up a floor, but the elevator was not working and NONE of the ice machines ever worked. The ONLY good part was the wonderful breakfast served the 2 mornings we were there. Would not recommend staying here.

My experience was terrible. I booked two rooms well in advance, but upon arrival, I was told they weren't available because they hadn't been cleaned. I had to look for hotels at midnight and pay triple the price because it was so late. All they told me was to request a refund. Poor service and poor organization; I advise against booking here, as you'll end up having a bad experience.

When I called to confirm my late arrival, they had already given my room away! I was not able to stay there.

The hotel room is large and pretty nice. The issues I had was there was confusion on which rooms were clean and had to wait 15 minutes after 10 hours of driving. The breakfast was supposed to be served at 6:30am, and the staff had not even shown up to start cooking when I left at 6:30 and I asked for a meal credit and he was unable to help as was just a clerk and no management on staff.

the TV in the room didn't work

Arrived driving from Denver at 2:30 am. I had messaged them several times through Expedia updating them of our arrival time. Arrived and there was a note on the door that they were OVERBOOKED, and had no rooms. They blamed Expedia. It took us another hour + before we could get it resolved through Expedia, who handled it perfectly, other than that it took so long. We got a room at another place we usually stay but the rates have gone up so much we don't stay there anymore. It was about twice the price of this place but we got it for no extra charge. Unfortunately, we had to wait until 4 am to check in because they booked us for the following day, since it was now after midnight. That's when the hotel's system updates with new reservations and kicks the ones out who never arrived. We were exhausted by the time we got to our room. Any business who thinks this is acceptable should not be in the business of hospitality! They just left us without a room at 2:30 am!! They said they couldn't contact me, because they didn't have my number, but they could have contacted me through the messaging system I contacted them through. I have corresponded with other properties that way. They could have also found us another place to stay. When I asked where we could go they said they didn't know. TERRIBLE! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Good things- the gentleman who came my room to help with the TV was great. It’s a large room, felt secure, bedding was clean. so all in all it’s worth staying.

The hotel was great for the price. The staff was awesome. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Be careful if you book through Expedia. They constantly over book this place and there is nothing the staff can do about it. I was lucky to get a room. They had the sign out to contact you agent if you booked on line.

I booked my stay days in advance and when I got to the hotel they told me they oversold their rooms and had no room for me for the night and then turned me away, forcing me to have to impromptu get another room at some other hotel. And when I asked about a refund they said it wasn't their problem and I'd have to call my booking site myself to get a refund.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. One elevator and hot tub were out of service. Bring your toiletries and hair dryer. Overall, the property inside and out needs some love, but we would stay here again. You get what you pay for and the price online was acceptable.

They overcharged my card $155 promise that they were going to reimburse me and never did management everybody lied and they never stood up to their promise don't believe in them and believe me don't trust them with your card account they will keep your money and charge you extra

This used to be a very fancy hotel, it's a little old and run down now but I saw that they are doing some renovations to some of the rooms while I was there. Good breakfast, indoor pool, spacious room (could use an update to fix some wobbly doors and other minor stuff). I'd stay here again when I'm in Amarillo

Cheap hotel room. Was moved because room was not cleaned. New room's TV never worked right and had to call maintenance daily. Had to get bath towels from front desk. Kids screamed and yelled in pool until after 11 pm. Staff worked hard to remedy all issues. Rooms obviously very old, paint peeling etc. Breakfast was pathetic. Only a cook for eggs, loaf of bread, coffee and watered down juice.

The staff was great, got a free upgrade, the breakfast waa good. Could have been cleaner and better kepted but overall good

It was a bit chaotic in the lobby. I guess they have a night club on site so it was noisy. The agent did a good job taking care of the different customers checking in, getting help, etc. Room was quiet and well sized. Housekeeping I guess left the tv on which was concerning that someone may have already been checked into the room but everything was still untouched. Nice hit breakfast the next morning.

I know this is the cheapest motel around but take it from me, spend an extra $20 and stay somewhere else. This is the creepiest, most decrepit accommodation I've ever stayed in. The front of each room is glass floor to ceiling with curtains facing the lobby, so you'll never really have complete darkness. The property itself is really dirty - lobby carpets not vacuumed, sidewalks outside absolutely filthy. It has the energy of a bordello from the 70's. That said, the guest room attendant cleaned my room really well! My bed was clean and comfortable also. But it was like putting lipstick on a pig - the carpet hasn't been changed in 30 years? Kinda crunchy underfoot and had to keep my shoes on to walk on it. There was also a fist sized hole in my bathroom wall which was strange. When I asked about getting my security deposit back because someone previously left a hole in my wall he insinuated that there might be a problem because I hadn't notified them when I checked in (didn't notice till before bed). He got some serious attitude with me when I mentioned that I would definitely be getting the deposit back because I didn't put the hole there. This is a very low energy place with disinterested staff. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Keep looking. Floors in the halls and general area were absolutely gross....crumbs, trash. Dirty diapers and loads of trash from the folks that live there. Was told yes we have pool right down there. It was locked and gross. Fitness area was broken equipment with no air flow since the AC in halls and other areas did not work and smelled of urine. Broke a sweat walking to the one working elevator. Shower sprayed water all of the place but the broken curtain rod did not help. Oh and theres an extra deposit charge wheh you get there. The best thing about this place was the coffee....which didnt even have a lid to take it to go.

Was given the wrong room and walked in on some random man! When we did get to our right room it was literally crawling with cockroaches me and my boyfriend were doing a long road trip we had stay at multiple motels this one was by far the WORST stay somewhere else

When I spoke with the manager upon my checkout, she was extremely apologetic and nice and tried to comp the room but alas I used Hotels.com points which is too much trouble to get back.

The room was absolutely amazing for the price. The bed was so comfortable that I actually overslept and didn't want to leave. I would have loved yo have been able to stay longer and make use of v the gym and the pool. Both looked great. If I am ever in Amarillo again I know where I will be staying. I have told everyone I know that if ygey have to stay in Amarillo, this is the place.

Okay location 1. The heater squealed all night. I had to turn it off. Squealing at midnight does not equal a good sleep. 2. TV required manual intervention to correct input selection to work. Every time you turned on the tv. 3. Coffee maker did not include the tray to put coffee in so hence no coffee. 4. No soap or shampoo in the bathroom dispensers. Very disappointed

To start there was a group of questionable guys outside the hotel and than scattered like roaches when the lights come on. There was an outdoor courtyard where the biulding got a new outer"cover" that inclosed the courtyard pool???. My room had a door screwed closed to the outside, but outside there is no door. Crappy door locks. Jammed them with towels and moved the couch infrount of the door. Did not feel safe.

The heater in my room didn't work, but I got back around 11pm and didn't want to try and change rooms I just wanted to go to bed but it was cold. The rooms are just run down and not good quality. The fact that the whole front wall/door is made of glass/giant windows is kind of weird, and also no windows to the outside makes it feel very dark and eerie. The staff was all very nice and helpful but the vibes were not great. I was located to a lot of things I wanted to do however.

They charge a deposit they won't return and hope you forget about it. You better get this in writing, otherwise you will pay an extra $50. You need something in paper when they charge you and after the stay, or record video/audio.

The whole place smells of chlorine from the indoor pool. Seemed like a good idea, but they need more ventilation. Room wasn't particularly clean. The coffee bar had been rummaged (stirrer, napkin/utensil packs were opened).

The Room was fine but the lady at the front desk put us in a room that already had somebody in it at first.

Very accommodating. Comfortable room. Not fancy but clean.

When I got there, they informed me that the room that I had paid for 2 weeks in advance through Expedia had been sold to someone else. I was forced to pay for another room when I got there because it was midnight when I arrived. This process took over an hour and I was double charged as I had already paid through Expedia, and then was forced to pay for another room there.

Roaches

The location to I-40 and the atrium were appealing. The fact that it's a rebranded Motel 6 did not appeal. Front desk charged a $50 fee that he commented might be returned. I did Not like that kind of customer service.

Clean room. Close to shopping and restaurants. Everything ok except Expedia did not forward my paid confirmation to the hotel. Anuischek , Expedia staff resolved my issue. Special praise to Amanda, the staff who checked me in. Not only that she handled my issue with Expedia professionally, she handled a few check ins at the same time, a disoriented customer who went into another guest’s room and didn’t want to come out, another guest who kept going to the wrong room and claimed his key doesn’t work. All within the hour. She deserved a raise.

Room access is inside the building so it's safer then other motels. Most of the staff were friendly. Lots of eating choices nearby and conveniently located right off I40.

Good price, convenient location off the highway, check in and check out were easy. I don't want to be too scathing here as this motel seems to be a family business, the young lady who checked me in was perfectly pleasant and the price is obviously great for a budget but the space and vibe of this place are very strange. Just feels a bit run down with the addition of strange blue lights everywhere, room smelled like smoke and someone was placed in the room directly next to us - could hear every word said in their room as well as their television late into the night. My coffee maker was broken, toilet paper holder broken, they give you an all in one face/body/shampoo/conditioner wash in a very industrial feeling pump in the shower. I've stayed in a ton of different types of accommodations including open air barns and mud construction homes that felt cozier/safer. Just a very seedy feel here. Not my first experience like this with the Motel 6 franchise, may be done with them honestly. Just doesn't seem they maintain any very caring standards of hospitality/cleanliness/comfort at their properties.

Convenience My room smelled of cigarette smoke. I informed the young person working. Idk if they added a note to my account. Two weeks after my stay my payment was refunded, an error on their account. A few weeks later I’m getting aggressive calls and repeated texts messages asking me to pay for the night again. The location refuses to pick up the phone when I call to potentially pay over the phone. Their corporate ownership seems to be a series of shell companies. No direct communication. Only a hotline to ask for a call back from their “financial“ department. Said department then is extremely aggressive in recouping from their mistake.

It was incredibly spacious and you could walk the different levels to get your exercise. That is what I liked the most. I don’t suppose there was anything I can say that I did not like

We arrived after a 13 hr drive to find that they had given our room with a king bed away. They said they would put us in a room with 2 queens since they fidnt have any kings. We left. Vety dissatisfied. If you cantvtrust that the redervation you made is going to be honored, why trust the establishment.

Easy check in and check out. Beautiful interior. Rooms (stayed in two different rooms a few night apart) were roomy and clean. Will definitely be returning.

Lady checking us in was rude. We never got a ticket for the included breakfast. And was rudely talked to by the lady running breakfast when we were asked if we had a ticket. The closet smelled of mice and something like mice kept me up scratching on something all night. The room was extremely dark when all lights were on. Then bright light came in from outside when we turned them off.

It was very clean. Just an old building. Lighting was poor in the rooms and things like the air conditioner and shower bar needed maintenance. (Noisy). But overall the price was excellent and everything seemed clean! The tv kept going off line so we had to get help with that. I’m personally grateful for the affordable price. We just needed a clean place to sleep and get back on the road

The room was clean, but the bathroom had cracked tile and obvious painting over where mold and mildew issues were. The showerhead was filled with lime scale and was very inefficient. No plug for the tub made it impossible to soak in a bath. Overall one of the worst hotel experiences. In the morning they told me at check out they would refund our pet fee and have the manager contact us. I have not heard from them, or seen said refund yet, now more than a week later.

The room smelled of smoke when we arrived. The hall area leading to my room smelled like Marijuana. The breakfast was out of food before 9am. only 1 elevator worked.

There were no working ice dispensers, the bed was very uncomfortable, the pool was very cloudy and I couldn't see the bottom of it, the chlorine smell was strong through the the whole facility, I was never told that you needed a voucher to receive breakfast and it was a little pie e of paper that was placed the en elope with my room keys, the room was very hot, the breakfast was very basic no variety just scrambled eggs and sausage and a slice e of Texas toast. There were holes on the ceiling above the ice makers and there was only one working elevator. Although the staff was very nice I won't be staying here again.

Nice staff. Did have to ask for clean towels 3 times and never did we get any delivered. My family of 3 stayed two nights. The pool was freezing disappointed my little boy very much. Stayed in a suite it was very a very cozy room.

Hot breakfast was OK, despite we arrived almost at the last minute. Plants in the hall need a thorough cleaning, the leaves are covered with dust. The idea is nice, but you need to take care if you want to preserve the good impression. In general the buiding needs some rework,

The pool was cloudy, hot tub was broken. Walls in room and hotel were gouged and paint was fading. Half the lights in our room did not work. Once we turned off the TV, we were never able to get it to work again. Air conditioning was LOUD. This hotel was terrible. The only good thing was breakfast. It was fresh cooked and very good. Do the corporate people ever inspect their properties? Also only one elevator was working. At checkout, a new employee was left by herself and waiting on the manager who NEVER showed up. She was totally not trained. We will NEVER come back to this hotel. The next night we stayed at Motel 6 in Dallas TX. It was a 5 star hotel compared to this garbage dump in Amarillo. Get it together Motel 6, or we will not stay at your "hotels" again. We do a lot of travelling. You have lost a customer. Do NOT stay here!!!

The hotel is being remodeled so our room had some issues but it was nice and spacious. The AC did not work, there were stains in the bathroom sink, the TV in the bedroom didn't work with either remote & we had issues with our room keys. The breakfast was a good start but no selection of juice or foods. Was strictly scrambled eggs, toast and sausage patties.

From the moment we arrived, the receptionist behind the counter was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, even taking the time to share a few suggestions on what to see in town, even though we only had a couple of hours to explore. Fresh coffee was ready in the lobby when we arrived — such a thoughtful touch after a long day on the road. Our room was huge, spotless, and cozy, with a full-size fridge, a mini kitchen (sink, toaster, and cooking counter), and even a coffee machine. Whoever designed this place really thought things through - even the blue-painted ceilings make the large room feel warm and inviting. The shower was excellent - strong water pressure and perfectly hot if you like it that way. After a day of driving, it was so social to be able to take a swim especially since we are in October! Breakfast was hot, served and included, and overall, the property felt comfortable, safe, and relaxed. This place is in a great location, offers fantastic value for money, and gives you everything you need for a comfortable night’s rest or if you want to stay an entire week - or even for an event s they have a huge atrium that can host a reception or an event of at least 100 people.

The air conditioner in the bedroom face of the suite was not working correctly. I let the front desk know and maintenance was supposed to come but never showed. I had a 13 month old so I had to put the playpen under the fan in the sitting area. Since the baby had to sleep in the sitting area, I had to sleep on the couch as well since the bedroom was so hot. I let them know, but they said since I booked through a third-party, there was nothing they could do. The swimming pool seemed to be nice, but it was freezing cold so we could not even get in. The hot tub was not even full of water that had no water in it.

BLACK MOLD. Ceiling caved in on my belongings due to a water leak that evidently had been there for a while. Told the staff and was told they would give me $50 off my next night. Moved to another room and the room next to it had a leak and all belongings on the floor were wet. Asked for owner contact info and was refused.

This was only an overnight stay. But, it was way better than I expected, especially with the low cost. Room was clean, roomy and very comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Will definitely be my go to stop to and from Colorado.

It’s extremely humid due to all the air conditioners putting out hot air in the same area that the pool is in. The pool has blue dye that stains clothes. The hot tub said available on the website but when we got there it was drained and looked filthy. The gym also couldn’t be used and is in a very awkward place. They didn’t show pictures of the bathrooms probably because they are tiny. The shower curtains are a thin material that is not waterproof so water gets everywhere. To top it all of the elevators weren’t working and when I asked the staff they told me they haven’t worked in months.

To 414.00 a week. Other than that very quiet place and rooms are very clean.

I swim a lot and that ruined my trip as i do not like ice cold water. The room was comfy but smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. Holes and damage to the doors and floor, breakfast was just blah.

Carpet was still wet from previous cleaning causing a bad smell. Curtains were torn and poorly mounted. Terrible lighting, and one light socket damage causing it to turn on and off at random.

Just an overnight stay during a longer road-trip. For 56$ a great value for a place to crash for the night. Free hot breakfast which was nice.

Don't like that the elevator is out of order and being on the 3rd floor with arthritis in my hips has been a struggle going up and down the stairs.

This hotel seems to be in the process of refurbishment. The staff were all excellent, and it was very clean, but in need of a lot of cosmetic work… paint and upholstery, and especially SIGNAGE! I had made a reservation or I wouldn’t have stopped. The sign was in front of other buildings and there is NOTHING on the outside of this building to identify it as Motel 6, no stickers on the doors, no markings on parking spaces, nothing. For an older woman, traveling alone and arriving late, getting out of the car and walking into an unmarked building was alarming. Once registered, my room was in the extreme southwest corner of the 2nd floor, so I parked on the west side and lugged my heavy bag in the west door, only to find that the west elevator was not operable and so, to avoid stairs, had to drag my bag all the way to one end of the building, around the end and back to the middle to access the east elevator. Once on the 2nd floor, there was ZERO signage to direct me to my room. Outside my room was a junction of 2 hallways with a slight (+/- 1/2 inch) step-off, also unmarked, that I did trip on once. The room/suite was nice, very clean, but the air conditioner did not work and I didn’t realize it until after I was changed and settled in. The motor ran but the fan barely moved any air and the air that came out was not cold. There was a ceiling fan but I could not find a way to turn it on. It was so hot and stuffy, I barely got 4 hours sleep.

The hotel was nice. It didn’t have a kitchen like they advertised the only difference between the regular hotel room and the kitchen room is the kitchen room has a bigger refrigerator. They give you stuff to cook on like an electric eye and pots and pans you have to put down $150 deposit to get it. The room we had had bedbugs. They refused to give me a refund because they couldn’t find any, but my son’s back was ate up from sitting in the chair.

The manager was GREAT!! Super helpful. My first room had tiny black bugs in the bed. She did tell me since I went through Expedia she could not refund me.

The AC could not get the room under 72 just were the bed was.

The inside/lobby/common area was pretty and nicely decorated. Any negative we experienced was tolerable die to Dylan at the front desk!! He went above and beyond to resolve our crappy experience with Expedia not letting us change OR cancel our reservations. Expedia was a JOKE and I’ll never use them again! If we’re ever in Amarillo, I’d stay here again JUST because of Dylan’s hospitality!!

Went for the pool, it was closed but full and clean? But the room smelled so badly of pee, they offered a different room but with the pool being shut down we just canceled and went next door. The guy was kind, but the place was not in good shape.

When we checked in to tha room we had other activities to attend when we got back to the room our TV’s or phone did not work they switched our room and then realized our microwave didn’t work after all of that we were informed that we could not eat breakfast cause it was only for a hockey team not happy at all

The pool was indoors but was ice cold. We chose this location to be able to swim but it was not possible with the frigid temperature of the water. We also had to wait for our room despite showing up an hour after the check in time that was listed.

With 2 older children, we get 2 rooms now, which is expensive, especially when staying for one night as part of driving to our final location. Studio 6 is perfect. Great rate, nice facilities, clean, kitchen! and more amenities than we had the opportunity to use. I recommend it highly.

The service was nice, the front desk clerk was very hopeful, I was accidentally charged an extra night and she got that fixed very quickly. However, the stay just wasn't as nice as it was when I was there when it was fifth season inn. The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, when I came in my room there was a dirty washcloth on the sink and the hair dryer kept tripping the GFCI and didn't work. The bathtub did not have an integrated drain plug and the rubber plug didn't really fit. The original deadbolt on the door didn't work because of settling so they installed another deadbolt but it's openable by a key from the outside and it shouldn't be. The parking lot was not well lit and there were big holes in the asphalt. The housekeeping service after the first night was very attentive and I am appreciative of that.

Overall, no complaints about the property or room. The pictures of this property are deceiving. At one time, it was probably a neat place to stay, however because it's so dated, it could use a serious remodel. The hot tub had no water and looked like it hadn't been used in years. The pool looked like it was up and running, but needed cleaning and we were told the heater doesn't work. Our TV didn't work. The room still looked in 70's mode. Bed was comfortable and the staff was very nice. Probably wouldn't stay there again though.

Clean rooms, smelled great as well! Was pleasantly surprised. Pool area is very well kept. They have a beautiful atrium. Coffee always hot and ready. They have remodeled and it’s gorgeous inside. Very welcoming. The staff - Ms. Valerie, Mrs. Michelle, Jose and Ms. Elisa are all wonderful and kind. House keeping is wonderful as well, they made sure I always had towels and whatever was needed, offered house keeping daily.

Stayed here nearly 8 years ago & I almost thought I walked into the wrong hotel when I checked in the other day. The owner has put some serious work into tastefully renovating the property. The rooms and lobby have been redone/upgraded, and the staff has been wonderful! So far the hotel has been a welcoming, calm & safe place to stay. Rooms are clean, bed is comfortable, ac works great, the pool is well kept and the skylight atrium with plants surrounding the pool area is super relaxing. I’m super glad I decided to make my reservation with this property & am absolutely extending my stay.

I guess that they stopped that service for the low low price for a wonderful motel .

This is a tired property in bad need of a refresh. We stayed on the way from Dallas to Colorado about 10 days ago and again on the way back home yesterday. On BOTH stays the A/C in the lobby was broken and the lobby was quite warm. The staff are like zombies ... just going through the motions. My greeting, upon check-in was just a simple, "ID please." Nothing more ...

A/C in the lobby area was broken. The person at the check-in desk was bored and just couldn't be bothered. Our room was very cool upon arrival, but became warmer and warmer throughout the night. The bed was hard as a rock. The overall feeling was that the property was poorly maintained.

Overall it was better than the other Motel 6 we stayed at.. just weird setting, the staff was great.

There is no air conditioning in lobb. When I came into the room the AC is super old and loud and so dirty .. my room booked said kitchen but is not a kitchen only some bowl and spoons.. don’t even have stuffs to cook how can is a kitchen..spoons is dirty too … the key room don’t even work .. had to went down to asked a lot times..and don’t even look like photo they posted a .. people standed out they room drinking …. So disappointed

Except for a mix-up with rooms, our stay was nearly perfect. Comfortable, quiet, breakfast is being discontinued, but we still had that perk, VERY clean.

Property smelled like mildew, very old and rundown. Staff was not very friendly or accommodating. When I asked for another pillow they told me I had to come and get it then gave me a dirty one. I asked for a clean one they came back with another dirty one made me question, the cleaning staff .

You get what you pay for. I was very uncomfortable. The hotel was dirty. Room felt gross. The carpet was questionable. The AC did not work well. The restroom and shower was scary. The latch to the door was missing a screw. It was scary to the point where I put a chair in front of the door.
