Room furniture was updated which was a nice change and made it more comfortable but the bones of the place are still dated (ceiling, and tub in the bathroom were old/damaged, doors were painted quickly/shabbily, vs being replaced). All in all, it was a good one night stay on our drive from Dallas to Gallup

While out of the room the second day housekeeping must of came into our room and emptied trash. They also replaced our towels which if I needed any of this done I would have asked. I was just a little uncomfortable with them in my room while all my belongings were in there.

The bathroom had broken tiles on the floor. The refrigerator had no freezer and the property was not well kept up. It was dirty.

Very pleased with the convenient location. Check in area very good place clean and cozy not big not small just family feel. Rooms are very clean, the AC cools room at your desired temperature. Water pressure is good very reliable. I was nor able to try the pool but I imagin it was great.

The bathroom was clean ish until I look at the tub it was dirty stained at the bottom. Not something staff can just fix, the night staff is super friendly and welcoming. She did not know about the tub.

The front desk staff was excellent. The bathroom and vanity area looks dirty I was so tired that I just went ahead and cleaned it myself with Lysol disinfecting wipes. It also appeared that maybe people were living there full-time and gave me a seedy vibe. People out in their cars very very late at night just sitting I'm not sure what they were doing. People walking up and down the hall..

The room was new and modern The bathtub enclosed appeared to be brand new. The surface was extremely dangerously slippery . My husband stepped in and slipped backwards out of the tub hit the opposite wall and fell to the floor. He was in incredible pain not knowing if he broke anything. Luckily he didn't. But he did have to get xrays and have physical therapy. I informed the front desk of the danger.

A review I read prior to booking our stay referred to this motel as the best value in Amarillo. Having passed through Amarillo and stayed at 6 different locations, I have to agree. It's an older building, but has been remodeled somewhat recently and is clean. The rooms are spacious, everything works and the parking lot is very well lit. There is only one entrance and exit as it's sandwiched between two other motels and fenced on both sides. This and the lighting, plus the fact it's located just a bit off of the main 45 hwy corridor, no doubt acts to deter some of the more dubious activities that often take place at a number of the accommodation options along the main highway. The place struck me as safe, quiet, clean and cost effective. Not the least expensive option, but well worth the little extra for peace of mind when passing through. I will make sure to book this motel on future trips.

Comfortable bed

Good stay for a reasonable price. Nice surprise was the room had a recliner. Breakfast was good but no variety to choose from only white bread, only apple juice. There was sausage, scrambled eggs and biscuits w/ gravy. Easy check in and out.

Terrible experience! The door wouldn’t even lock unless you lifted and pushed the door in, the sheets had stains on them, the tv didn’t work, the floors looked unswept and dirty, the toilet was wobbly and crooked. Do not recommend, will not stay again!

It was good for a night if you're traveling. It was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. I did not feel unsafe. The staff answered my questions when I had them and the TV worked. Breakfast is included... I didn't try it but it was offered and looked decent.

Zero complaints. We've stayed in quite a few hotels recently in our trip across the country and this Days Inn was the best so far. Very spacious and clean room. Wonderful and effective window shades. Mostly well insulated from the noise or neighbors. Pet friendly.

Good for the price just to stop and rest on the road. Not a bad option.

Nice staff too

We actually chose not to stay. My 90 year old mother is walker/wheelchair bound, the ADA should be notified s the property had zero ability for us to even get her into the room. The ramp was quite a distance from our room and the concrete on the ramp was in terrible shape. The property was very much ill maintained and we did not feel it was a safe environment for any of us, especially her.

The room smelled of stale cigarettes. It was well put together well for a motel, but there were yellow stains on the bed spread and a large stain (looked like someone had peed) on the chair. If this was a $50 a night property, I would say it was a great deal, but at $100 it was below expectations. Staff was super nice.

The room was barely vacuumed, let alone scrubbed. There was a dirty toothpick on the floor when we walked in and a piece of broken handle from a suitcase on the carpet. The floor in the bathroom was dirty with tacked on gunk that looked like it belonged on the bottom of a shoe. The wind whistled through the door all night because it looked like it had been kicked in once or twice, and did not sit right. I did not feel comfortable putting my bare feet on the floor, let alone taking a shower. I understand we aren’t staying in a 5 star hotel, but basic cleaning would have been nice. Luckily we only stayed one night, but I would never stay here again.

Checked in and unpacked that door 120 someone else opened the door and they said they had booked for two nights went to the desk. They hadn’t paid for two nights so they had to wait in a sinus try to find us another room we booked handicapped. evidently Joe have booked the lady and not take payment for two days. Very frustrating for disabled seniors room, smelt, musty, and old. very incompetent Joe, who checked the lady in and then checked her out without paying, but she was still in the room.

Staff was friendly. The in-room A/C was loud and made it hard to sleep at night. That with the noisy neighbors upstairs that kept banging on the floor above me. The floor by the bathroom had a large crack in the flooring which made the floor uneven. Pet friendly (reported to be) but had nothing on site (dog run, grass area, etc) to make it pet friendly. No hanging towels and only shampoo and soap containers were large enough for many to use and open. Yuck.

this was my first stop in Amarillo and I was very happy with the property location and the amenities, plenty of dining and shopping options , the breakfast selection were plentiful and my overbite sleep was quiet. Would stay here on my next trip into Amarillo

At this hotel the doors open to the outside inside of opening to the inside of the building.

Loved the hotel in area. Very clean had a nice breakfast and our room was super nice. It was on the bottom floor and we did get a handicap room because of my husband. Would highly recommend.

The evening receptionist was doing the ‘lay the things I have to hand to you on the desk because I’m too good to hand it directly to you’ thing. As a person of color, it’s annoying and old.

TV didn't work

Everything was great but the breakfast wasn't that good.

The hotel was no frills (which we wanted), the breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable. Pillows were the stupid tiny hotel pillows that everyone seems to use now. Staff was friendly both late night and early morning. Could hears some road noise, it nothing atypical. A/C was loud in a good way, nice source of white noise.

The hotel itself was mediocre, breakfast was only ok. But the staff were SO helpful that I’d go back just because of that! My daughter can’t do dairy and I messaged in advance, they were so helpful in getting me info so I could figure out what she could eat. We also asked for extra towels and they had them up to our room within minutes! Amazing folks, we were so grateful!

Fridge didnt work. Shower was wonky. Pool doesnt open til noon and closes at 9. Breakfast was aweful Not many choices. Staff was rude. We checked out early and they refused a refund for the night we were not gonna stay. Hotels.com made it more than right for us so we went some place else.

Didn’t like that they didn't have a water dispenser. Had a ice machine but no water

We didn’t get there or leave there in time to check out anything else in Amarillo, but we think highly of the Days Inn!

Shower barely had pressure to come out the shower head. Tub spout almost fell off. Bed felt like 2 sheets plywood. Would not recommend for a restful night.

Some trouble adjusting water in shower and sink from being too hot. Trouble with TV remote/ TV. seeming to freeze maybe??

The room was clean, check-in/check-out was easy. Location was easy to access and there were plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from when we were ready to eat.

The room was clean. The staff was incredible. The location is good. It’s by the medical center. A Waffle House and golden corral is a few blocks away.The breakfast was good but nothing to write home about, but free coffee is always good. 👍

Staff was friendly. It needs to be listed as a MOTEL not a hotel. Big difference. Very dated, the remodel was very poorly done. No ice bucket in room, no ironing board. The free breakfast was very lacking. We stayed there due to the fact that it was close to the medical facility. I would not recommend.

Only drawbacks were the property is sandwiched between two sketchy extended stay motels but the property has cameras everywhere so I felt safe. Lighting is harsh white lamps in the rooms but there is a huge window with convenient privacy shades to let in natural light. Will definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to others.

Couldn't breathe in the room from over powering cleaner scent. Beds are rocks. The ac is loud to start. There's stains on the sheets and bed and pillows. There's possibly poop or something that looks like it on the floor by the mirror and in the bathroom. Tons of rust in the bathroom. I can go on.

This hotel had drug deals, fights all night over drug deals, drugs on the ground (we could not walk the dogs for fear of poisoning)...It was absolutely beyond unacceptable and very dangerous.

The room smelled so bad I requested another room. It also smelled bad. Not as bad as the first one so I stayed rather than find another room after driving all day.

The first room we were assigned smelled horribly of smoke. Called front desk and The night manager came right up and got us a new room right away.

Lack of seating with just one desk chair. Room seemed to cry out for a large chair and a lamp in the corner.

It was comfortable. The lady at the desk during our late nite check-in was super sweet.

Dirty wash cloth hanging from shower curtain rail, no closet, poor carpet condition, no information regarding wi-fi and breakfast schedule, etc.

Front office staff was very nice and accommodating when I needed something. The air conditioner in our room did not work, and we had WAY too much stuff unpacked to ask to make a change. The room itself smelled upon entry and felt grungy for a family with children. Breakfast options are limited for dietary restrictions.

The door lock didn’t work but the flip latch worked. Hopefully they fixed the door lock because if my very tall husband hadn't been with me i would have NOT STAYED IN THAT ROOM!!!!!

everything was good. the room was very nice; the shower was great. Food was very good, we have no complaint.

First room we were given had a large urine stain on the mattress(yes, I pull back sheets to check). Second room has worn sheets. The room has all fluorescent light bulbs so that’s harsh. Bathroom door wouldn’t close (scraped in the frame). Breakfast was “meh”- “hot” water for coffee and oatmeal was lukewarm. Beds were comfortable. Room had a stale odor even after running air conditioning.

Wifi didn't work. Extremely noisy guests in the nearby rooms. Not many options for breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff.

Our stay was good

This room at this hotel was ok and clean, which at this price point is all you can expect these days. Shower was clean and functioning as it should. They did have a nice pet relief area that was very clean! Loved that for our furbaby. Had a small fridge with no freezer in it, and a microwave, plus a small coffee maker, but coffee was not good. We would stay here again if the price stays reasonable.

AC in room 122 needs serviced before the summer heat hits.
