Staff was pleasant, facility was clean, and room was cozy! I appreciated that the sofa couch/bed was softer than any other hotel sofa I’ve ever used. The mini fridge was ice cold which was a HUGE plus. Overall a great experience! Continental breakfast. For the cost of the room, breakfast should be included like many other hotels that are actually less pricey per night.

I left a garment bag with clothes in it when I checked out. I tried to call the direct line to the hotel 20 plus times when I noticed I left it. Every single time the phone rolled over to a FAX machine. I finally called reservations and they said they saw my reservation and gave me a different number. I called it 4 times and talked to a girl at the front desk. She said she was too busy to check. She finally told me to call back the next day. I did. I found out the new number was at the WRONG hotel. I was told to call the number I had called 20 times the day before. When I got through to them the front desk was extremely rude.

The staff and room were just fine. The continental breakfast that we paid extra for in my opinion was a bait and switch. They have a menu of what they offer, but when you tell them you paid for the breakfast with your room they give you a separate menu that is limited. Also, during our stay the first night we got there the pool was closed. It did open up before we had to leave; but once we were in the pool area the hot tub was not in use. It had very little water in it and it obviously wasn't working because the water was murky looking and not hot. This was very disappointing to my kids and me. Overall the stay was fine, but we were just disappointed in everything not working or being up to our expectations.

The room was standard, with no in room microwave- which makes it very difficult when traveling with young children. The shower was nice, but no tub, was extremely slippery, and definitely not designed with family in mind. Would be fine for a couple, but definitely not recommended for families with young children.

The ac worked well. It had a nice sized shower. The dog fee was $75, that's ridiculous. The room was dirty. There was pizza left in the fridge. There was hair everywhere. A fake eyelash on the bedspread. Down in the lobby there was a crazy homeless guy harassing people. He was also bothering us in the parking lot. They finally ran him off but he should have never been allowed to sit around in there at all. Speaking of parking, $12 to park if you're not a Marriot member? That's absurd, it's just a regular parking lot not attached to anything else. I absolutely would never stay here again.

The first morning, our youngest made a mess on the bed. I asked the front staff if we could get new sheets for the bed. When we came back that evening, the room was not taken care of. (Because it was a holiday, I gave some grace) the next day (Day 2), no change. I went down to the front staff again and asked if the sheets and room could be cleaned the next day. When we came back to our room the next day (Day 3), the room was not maintained or the sheets taken care of. 4 nights at the hotel, I asked twice for the room to be taken care of with no luck.

I knew there was a $12 parking charge, but I didn't realize that it was per day. So for 4 nights, it was an extra $50 charge. One of the beds was dirty, had to request extra towels as there were only 3 in a double queen and sofa bed room.

Prob the worst Marriott stay for me ever. No rooms ready for check in after 5 pm. Had to come back later. Gym water filer needed replacing and no sanitizing wipes. Told staff. Not fixed by next day. Our room had mold in shower and toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall. Disappointing stay. And for that price a free continental breakfast at least.

Great, quiet, safe place for the night. Breakfast isn’t included unfortunately but you can purchase at the cafe there. We booked a king with a pull out bed. The room was laid out well. Only complaint was the pullout couch while modern and cool looking has a terrible mattress. It has no mattress. It’s a modular sectional that you simply open up. So technically while it’s a surface to sleep on, our poor 10 year had the worst nights sleep ever and ended up between us. First world problems but I thought I’d save a family from booking that and rather get two beds so everyone sleeps well❤️

The breakfast that you pay for is a joke...It's 4 small items you're allowed to choose from. When we got there, we had driven 6.5 hours to show up to a hotel room where it clearly states I have 5 people staying in the room, 2 adults & 3 children, there was not a pull out couch, the manager told me I could have some 'bedding' to lay on the floor for my son to make a pallet to sleep on. When we finally got ready for bed, the TV quit working, I went downstairs to ask the manager for help & she said "they just installed the boxes yesterday, I don't know how to help you" sooo we didn't even have TV for the one night we stayed there. When you walk in the hotel looks gorgeous & has everything you'd ever need but looks can be very deceiving. The main elevator in the lobby is absolute trash too. The rolling cart that you can use to bring your bags up was completely broken in 3 different pieces. It was the worst experience I've had at a hotel. What a joke!!

Not sure what the hotel is like but the management is not understanding at ALL. Regardless Hotels.com is the main entity at fault. I clicked on the other Marriott in downtown Amarillo and somehow Hotels.com got it mixed up and booked me a room at West/Medical. I called Expedia (parent company of Hotels.com) and told them what happened so they called management at Marriott West/Medical to try and move the reservation to the CORRECT hotel but West/Medical said they wouldn't. I had to end up eating $125. I'll NEVER stay at Marriott West/Medical and I'll NEVER use Hotels.com again

First I was told I would be reimbursed in 3 business days, then 3-10 and then I was told it would be 10 minutes! Lastly, I was told the GM is busy and would call me back. Two more phone calls and 15 days later I still have not been reimbursed. It is only $130, but still what if this was their $.

It was not a pleasant stay due to broken A/C and hotel was unable to accommodate with another similar room. If we switched to another room our kids would have to sleep on the floor. It was late when we checked in and that was the only one available to accommodate us so we had to stay with the room and the temperature was 82 degree the entire night. The room was humid and stuffy. We endured the night so I can gain energy for the drive the next day.
