Todo bien

The hallway smelled like smoke, the room I had, I found a wat

Even for one star, this property has a lot of room for improvement. The facility is worn and needs refurbishing. Rooms are dark, stale smell was noticeable. Even for budged, I would not recommend this place.
- 4/5
Bathroom needs a update and WiFi was bad. We slept good and a coffeemaker would be nice. First impressions are deceiving, we will come again. It was clean and the price is okay.
- 1.5/5
I didn’t. Easy check in and processing. But did not feel comfortable inside the room, I did not stay because I didn’t feel safe. I left without asking for a refund, I just left Creepy
- 5/5
Cold room comfortable bed ! No breakfast
- 0.5/5
This makes me question booking.com about the facilities they put on their list. I wasted 91 dollars.
- 2/5
no amenities, just coffee... It really needs updating. I do not know how it has a rating of 7.4. Im sorry. I usually give really good reviews. The husband used to reserve a room about 40 years ago, a few times. It was very nice then.
- 0.5/5
Smelled, was dirty, someone's finger or toenail was stuck to one of the towels
- 1/5
Room was dirty air-conditioning barley worked people were consistently outside my room at all hours of the night property was nasty
- 0.5/5
Absolutely NOTHING! Night desk lady wouldn’t help me and wouldn’t give me her name,(black lady) VERY RUDE!! Couldn’t give us a working room key, had to go up n down stairs 4 times to get right key! Couldn’t get me to stay again if they paid me!!
- 1/5
The room felt dirty, poorly maintained, and not worth the money. I expect a clean, safe place to sleep when I book a hotel, and this was the complete opposite. I’ve attached photos so others can see the condition for themselves. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.
- 1/5
The entire facility is not at appealing, the rooms are horrible.
- 4/5
Great location by the interstate, and the room was clean and comfortable. Shower worked well and had great pressure. Amarillo is easy to get around so appreciated being able to explore the city for dinner This is the perfect room for an overnight stay and it does so well. In terms of value, it just felt the whole Amarillo situation was overpriced. Prices at the Cameolot Inn, while lower than most other places, just reflect the market. Why is Lubbock cheaper?
- 2.5/5
It didn't have a microwave, and the refrigerator didn't seem to work either.
- 0.5/5
The people were very nice. I am actually livid that this night of horrors cost +$90! First this property is very old and very dated. After seeing my hole, I couldn't bring myself to look in either the old microwave or the other old appliance the dorm room refrigerator. The room was so dark it hid a multitude of ills. The television was a flat screen but settings were so fouled up I couldn't get it out of stygian darkness. The wash basin was inexpertly repaired from major damage and the shower was so low in the stall I couldn't even wash my head properly. Score out of ten, one. And one is being very generous. Two, location highway adjacent just about says it all. Except for the general swamp like area. The homeless came in droves in the morning for the coffee. Score: one. Pool, in a serious state of decay, no swimming. Score: - 1, falsely advertised. Thee, Security - lucky l wasn't murdered. Giant window in front. It had a white cloth laid in it to hide old old wood. Front door, to outside it was metal. Half inch gap at the bottom which accounts for my roommates (Crickets and Cockroaches) as well as other unknown denizens. Granny could have gotten in easily. Interior door, semi working electric lock. No deadbolt. Score: 1. The interior was very dated. Smelled like mothballs, old perfumes, and ineffective cleaning products. Undertones of sweat. There were two overpriced vending machines one for drinks one for edibles. Ice machine was not in evidence. It's location was not made apparent and with the dark in mind I was unwilling to explore. Missing: computer plug-ins, coffee machine, adequate towels, security was not in evidence and light. So that is 5 not available needs. Plus the two that's a ? 7. Had I not booked this dump, I could have stayed elsewhere and had a good night's sleep.
- 3/5
Staff was nice. Good location. Building needs maintenance and better lighting in the rooms.
- 1/5
Beds are very hard. Security not good.
- 4/5
Old school room but water pressure was great. Everything was fine for a good price.
- 2/5
room was clean only one trash can under bathroom sink looked like mold the whole room smelt like mold price wasn't worth i think motel 6 suits the price
- 2.5/5
Smelled like somebody was smoking dope. Mattress was very warn. Not enough lighting in room.
- 0.5/5
The room was the only good thing since it was kept clean and had nice air conditioning. Everything (aside from the room) was unbearable. Hallways STUNK of the big M to the J, the floor was stained with some mysterious substance (?), the walls were VERY thin, the keys DO NOT WORK, the door to the parking lot directly from the room was immensely inconvenient, and surrounding our room was an odor of cigarettes even though we specifically booked a non-smoking room with non-smoking rooms around it.
- 1/5
I would not return to this facility.
- 4/5
Z was so welcoming and helpful! We had a great room. Not enough pillows / towels . Not having a roll in accessible shower.
- 4/5
The bed was really comfortable and the AC worked but it was noisy like the fan may have issues. No problems and felt comfortable.
- 1.5/5
Location. Easy off and on to I40 Dirty, in constant state of disrepair. Never have the room available that I reserved on Booking.com
- 2/5
Its time for an update on the building. Its ok for the night but I wouldn't want an extended stay here
- 3/5
location coffee maker & microwave in room
- 2/5
It claimed to have all the updated amenities but the room did not have them.
- 4/5
What matters most to us is that the place is clean, and there are no roaches. Check! Next, a fridge and microwave are important. They had a nice, larger compact fridge. I took off a star because there was no microwave, and it was expensive, like 85+/night and we always have to purchase 2 nights because we sleep during the day and checkout is usually at 11. So we were actually there less than 24 hours. Just arrived late morning to sleep and head out the same night. Otherwise, a great place to stay. We were in the back side and it was pretty quiet, except for a short period when some people were trying to tow a car from the parking lot. Seemed safe and right off the highway. So if your room is in the front, you might hear more traffic/hotel noise. We worry about noise since we are daytime sleepers and I have a lot of anxiety. We were not close to the ice machine, or the outside entry doors, so we didn't have that noise either. It's almost like they knew us. It was great, except for the no microwave and how much it cost. We come through Amarillo several times a year on our way to and from Louisiana, so we would stay again, I just wish their prices were lower. We usually stay somewhere else that costs less, but they were booked. Oh, and the AC worked great! It was June. It had rained, so it wasn't super hot that morning, but the sun did come out before we checked in. We had booked for the night before, so we could check in the next morning. It was nice that they allowed that.
- 4/5
Not exactly the best place in Amarillo to stay, but it was fine/sufficient/adequate for our stay. Thank you, Camelot Inn!
- 5/5
Good stay and friendly staff members.
- 0.5/5
It felt like a motel where something illegal would go down and someone would get shot the bathroom was disgusting and the TV didnt work had to barricade the door to the outside and the bed felt unclean
- 4.5/5
Yes I would.
- 3/5
Coffee pot was luke warm No sugar or creamer. Personal need to act like they enjoy there job.
- 3/5
While clean, facility needs a lot of work
- 4/5
Was just finding something to lay our heads for three nights. Spacious room with dinning table and seating for two and a cushioned livingroom type chair. Refrigerator too! Please dont have high expectations for the facilities. It is hard running businesses these days and the fact that its open and doesnt cost an arm and a leg was helpful for our budget. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Beds and bathroom were clean and we truly appreciated that!
- 2.5/5
Room was adequate.
- 2/5
The staff was pleasant, The parking was convenient, the AC blew cold and the inclusion of a large mini fridge was nice, other than that I have no good things to say about this property. Rooms and hallways are poorly maintained with low drop ceilings, peeling wallpaper, multiple burnt out lights, rust on the fixture and an unforgivable smell that will linger with you, Im certain this property hasn't been updated since the late 90's including the bedding. I'd recommend spending a little more money and staying literally anywhere else.
- 3.5/5
Property is pretty run down, my room was adjacent to the freeway and was quite loud, though good ear plugs allowed me a decent night of sleep. They allow pets here and I think I got bit by a flea :(
- 4/5
This is one of the best places to be able to bring your dogs first of all It smelled clean it was well kept and they charged about 10 or $15 for animal cat or dog and that was really fair. They also had bottom floors where you could go through the meat through around towards the inside of the building and then you can also have another door that goes outside the building outside back and forth so that helped. If you do bring a dog do not walk your dog near that gas station that's on the corner because it's closed down and there's open wires in the area. Other than that Camelot kept that Camelot vibe was pretty cool.
- 5/5
Loved it, super cozy
- 1/5
One the worst Hotel I’ve ever stayed in, the bed covers had not been cleaned stains on sheets, and pubic hair on sheets. Was moved to another room it was even worse, sockets old out damaged would hold phone chargers kept falling out of the socket. Curtains torn , white paint on curtains, bathroom shower water continuously leaking, only offered 2 small commentary soaps that broke in half once water hit it. No trash bag in trash can the room was very dimly because of only two small lamps that didn’t offer very much light, one of the bulbs was blown out , had to have replaced , the staff had no clue how to turn on lamp. And lastly it smelled really bad in the hallway , no elevator , walls are super thin you could hear the noise and neighbors very clearly.I would not recommend this place to no one , nor I ever stay there again.🙁😡👎
- 5/5
Always pleasant to stay there! See u next year!
- 5/5
Great access close to many stores.
- 4/5
Parking ok but next to busy street
- 2/5
Just a place to sleep when you have a long day on the road. Place needs renovations everywhere. It is very noisy due to how close is to the freeway. The front desk person really showed she didn’t want to be there. I wouldn’t stay there again.
- 1/5
We stayed in a smoking room as it was the only room available and Amarillo was sold out. Room was absolute dump, ceiling tiles in bathroom ready to come down, blanket rough and had holes, window curtains with water stains and holes. No excuse for a hotel selling rooms to be this run down. Spend your money somewhere else.
- 4/5
Everything was good. A little noisy
- 5/5
Ice machine was broken. Room was fine
- 5/5
Really nice hotel especially for the price which was extremely reasonable. Staff was nice and helpful. Place looked clean including the room.
- 1/5
The place was a dump.
- 1/5
Check-in staff just stood there and acted like I was inconveniencing them by checking in. Room was super dirty. Hair on all the towels and counter. Visible stains on the beds, and bad smells. wifi and tv didn’t work. Just stay somewhere else. We thought it would be fun for the kids but it was a gross hotel.
- 2/5
I requested a lower level roomas the Camelot doesn't have an elevator and my husband is w/c dependent. I was given a room up on the 2nd floor, up 2 sets of stairs. The heat didn't work properly. We were not given fresh towels even though I gave housekeeping our dirty ones. We had fleas in our bed. The male clerk argued with me the hotel didn't have to disclose that my accommodations couldn't be met even though they confirmed that they had what I wanted in a room and didn't have to give us a troom on the 1st floor even though my husband is disabled. I told him that we didn't have to stay at the Camelot either. The only thing it had going for it was the large rooms.
- 3/5
Staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean;however, motel is too close to the highway, so could not get a good night sleep. Too noisy.
- 5/5
The room was spacious and clean. The night manager was not helpful when I had problems with the washer
- 4/5
Budget friendly for a Saturday night
- 5/5
For the price booked online $116 for two days. Yes it is a great deal. Older rooms but pretty clean. I did go back a week later visiting my daughter from Kansas.
- 2/5
Bed was hard and sagging badly. Loud road noise since room is right by the interstate I40. Room was clean and everything worked as it should but would not recommend staying here.

There is an older white gentleman that works and lives at the Camelot Inn. He wears glasses and works front desk. He is very unprofessional and disrespectful. I was 30 minutes late paying for my room because I had to charge my phone and he came and told me to pack my stuff and get out by 11:30. I looked at my phone and it was 11:38. And he kept ranting and yelling at me and told me if I wasn't going to pay for the room I had to get all my stuff out by 11:15. And it was 11:38.. I told him I was paying for it and politely shut the door in his face from being attacked like that. After paying for the room online he came back to my room banging on the door and told me to get my ID and get down there. His whole demeanor is very threatening and unprofessional and I would prefer not to interact with this guy at all if I ever come back to stay at this Motel. I was totally humiliated and embarrassed and felt very threatened
- 5/5
Convenient location, a clean and well nicely furnished room. Staff was very helpful and friendly. This is a bit of a hidden gem. Value for your $$ is very high.

Very cool property, unique design. Doors on inside and outside. Decor is original 1973. Totally recommend for a nice stay

One of the few places I’ve found that have smoking rooms.
- 5/5
The night staff is a bit afraid acting as they talk through glass. The rooms are ok the beds are cheep feeling. The hotel is ok for the cheep price. Clean but old.

The beds are hard. I found a cup of water in the room which I disposed of.

- 5/5
Super cute stay in a castle! It’s super out dated, but we love that sort of thing. I wish I could have seen it in its prime! Worth it to ask the staff about the history of the place! So cool! Still clean, comfortable, my kid loved waking up and finding out we were in a castle!
- 5/5
This place is a Jim
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Very clean comfortable excellent breakfast nice staff
- 1/5
Do not stay here. I repeat do not stay here you will thank me later. This was disgusting and had blood on mattress and holes in the wall. I though ceiling would cave in. Slept with clothes on and showered with flip flops on. If we didnt just drive 12 hours and arrived at 1130pm we would have left. Kept luggage in car and a towel on the bed. Do not stay!!!!!!! Looks nothing like pictures.

Friendly staff, updated room, comfortable bed.
- 5/5
Cheap place to stay. Friendly lady checked us in.
- 5/5
Not only nice, clean and quality, but unique castle building shape let me feel in luxury hotel.
- 2/5
Looks good from the outside but that's as far as it goes
- 5/5
Had the best water pressure for a shower!!!
- 4/5
The property is pretty dated. For a place to sleep only it was good. However there is a smell in the hallway as soon as you enter and in the room that smells like a nursing home and hospital. If I had to stay more than one day I wouldn’t have been able to do it. Other than that my stay was great.
- 1/5
The check i. Staff was rude. The room was dirty funiture was stained. Bathroom tile was falling down. The room smelt dirty and so did thw hall way. Not a family hotel it seemed like a one night stand kinda hotel will never recommend it to anyone.
- 2/5
Nothing at all
- 3/5
Dirty Kleenex left on the bed, otherwise great. I like the old decor.
- 5/5
Great experience.. affordable..clean...stayed on our way to Colorado
- 3/5
The birds wake you up at 3-4 AM. They like to stand on the balcony and they are not the singing birds either.
- 5/5
Was clean quite friendly staff
- 5/5
We only stayed one night, but the room was cheap and clean and comfortable. The staff was great.
- 2/5
This place smelled so antiseptic. It was clean but whatever cleaner they use is just too string.
- 2/5
This is for sure a roach motel. Made the stop on the way through amarillo. The smell throughout the place reminds me of burning rubber and an old folks home mixed in one. There were no bugs but the conditions definitely made us look! The highway noise was almost unbearable, but eventually became a white noise. For the price it got the job done but Id probably look somewhere else for the night. Definitely not going back.
- 3/5
The outside of the Hotel looks nice, but inside the room was run down and outdated. The ceiling was coming apart and the shower head was barely hanging on. There was also mold where the ceiling had leaked and was coming apart.
- 3/5
Checked in. Had to be moved to other room because the heat and air unit or the refrigerator worked. Moved us up front. Very noisy and couldn’t get sleep. The bed was also very uncomfortable
- 4/5
Nice place
- 4/5
Good bed and shower. Large room and fridge. A little run down.
- 5/5
I would rent again.
- 2/5
I was hoping this would be a clean stay in a quirky motel. I just needed a spot to sleep as I got back on the road early in the morning. Unfortuneatly, the place is not as "cute" in person with the castle vibes but, more importantly, my room at least, felt like it was falling apart. Flood damanged cieling tiles that seemed half repaired, if at all. Wreaked of smoke in the hallways and some in the hotel room. One expects to get what you pay for at this price level but you also expect it to be clean, sanitary.
- 1/5
They won't let me stay because I have rats but says they're "pet friendly" so I'm trying to make sure i get my money back and the staff is extremely rude and just wants to watch videos on their phone
- 1/5
Thumbs down! Absolutely filthy, and moldy exposed rust on pipes and cigarette marks on the toilet seat
- 3/5
Very out dated unclean smell and traffic noise staff front desk lady very nice
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice. A little old but still very nice. the staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room had a king size bed and the room was big. Lots of space to open our 2 suitcases and leave them open. We had a table with 2 chairs and another chair for relaxing in. It is important to know that the rooms here do not come with a microwave or a coffee maker, although they do have a fairly large fridge. I was told you can get hot water at the front desk at any time and they do serve coffee in the morning. Also take note that the one side of the hotel faces the highway so it is noisy. Maybe the back would be better.
- 4/5
I liked the 1st floor exterior door for easy access to take dogs out.
- 5/5
The room was very clean. The attendant was courteous and helpful
- 5/5
Not bad at all
- 4/5
Clean and decent locust motel
