- Clean rooms
- Friendly staff
- No elevator
- Outdated facilities
- 4/5
It was a clean, older, worn facility with decent prices, convenient to I-40 with many fast food restaurants nearby. Was only there for maybe 8 hours. Did offer early breakfast but we were back on the road before breakfast.
- 4/5
WiFi was really bad though - couldn’t use it
- 4/5
Room was very clean as was the bathroom, linens and towels were new, no stains, tears or fraying. Bed was comfortable. Room was quiet.
- 4/5
Room was nice for the limited time we stayed
- 4/5
Thank you! Although we only stayed to sleep for a few hours, we did get the rest we needed.
- 3/5
The rooms were old and the beds were very small. The rooms weren't adjoining, as advertised, and the beds were definitely not queens.
- 3/5
Tv was poor. Some channels wouldn't show and when they did they would cut out for awhile.
- 2.5/5
One word...REMODEL!!
- 5/5
Clean room. Friendly staff. Rooms need to be updated.
- 3/5
The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. We did not use the Wi-Fi. It was apparent that remodeling had been done. We felt a little claustrophobic in our room. The exercise room had limited machines and the belt was slipping on the treadmill. They need to continue to update.
- 3.5/5
Close to hwy.
- 2/5
There was an issue with the key no working phone in room poor Wi-Fi. TV wasn’t working properly. The fire ants infested the pool area and my child was bitten by red fire ants swimming in the pool. Wanted a Sunday swim we had to go to front desk to have someone come unlock the pool. Breakfast was very unorganized and food quality was minimal. Too many things to rate on a scale of 1-5 … 2. At best
- 5/5
An older hotel but good bang for the buck for a overnight sleep.
- 2/5
The staff was super nice and helpful! The 1st room has a smell that reminded me of a skunk. The 2nd room smelled better.
- 2/5
Clean and nice staff. Hotel needs maintenance on carpets, pairing etc. My bathroom was clean but with an old door, rusted frame, old tile, some clogged tub. Area is good. Price didn’t match expectations.
- 2.5/5
breakfast needed gravy to go with the biscuits, waffle maker needed non stick spray, eggs and sausage were ok the temperature of the room was not comfortable because the air conditioner didn't keep the room cool (it was 105 degrees outside); the beds sat up too high from the floor and my husband has arthritic knees.; the shower faucet needs repaired, half of the water ran down the drain. the door going outside from the hallway by the entrance to the pool area needs updated Compared to other hotels we have stayed in this hotel was disappointing.
- 5/5
Room was clean. TV was small. Staff was great. We didn’t eat breakfast. Toilet was too low …. I had to use the counter to get up. The room phone didn’t work.
- 4/5
The staff is very attentive and it was clean and quiet.
- 4/5
aged property, but sufficiently maintained for my needs during travel
- 4.5/5
The breakfast was great Shower seemed dated.
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Loved the reading chair which some hotels don't provide. Plenty of room for bags. Loved the bathroom lighted mirror, perfect for putting on my makeup. Loved that there were no carpets. Easier to clean and better for folks with pets. Loved the breakfast including waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, and yogurt. No place to hang towels except shower curtain rod. Awesome shower head, but need a towel rack and/or ring especially for hand towels/wash cloths. Did have trouble getting to property since GPS couldn't locate exact address.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and our stay was comfortable. Conveniently located and we would stay there again. Staff was very helpful and accommodating.
- 3/5
Does not match the reviews. It's a 2 star hotel that I would give a 5 out of 10. Not very clean. I saw small hairs on the bed, the mattress was gross and the pillows were okay. I put a blanket a brought from home over the sheets. The toilet wasn't all the way clean. There was dirt on the floors near the walls. The breakfast was fine and the employees were nice and friendly. I wouldn't stay there again.
- 3/5
It was decent for the price Bit run down
- 3/5
Location ok, breakfast ok Dogs barking, to much noise.
- 4.5/5
Affordable and clean. Friendly staff. Free breakfast Nothing.
- 1/5
Close to I40 Very run down. The furniture in the room was so dirty and grimy that I didn’t want to sit on them.
- 5/5
Stayed the night and staff was very helpful. Room was clean and had all the essencials needed.
- 2/5
The rooms definitely need updating and the hallway carpet replaced. The front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant but overall the hotel was trashy. The pool access was not safe and the breakfast was subpar. We probably won’t be stay at another Baymont.
- 4/5
Bathroom sink water flow was just a trickle, tub/shower was fine. Don’t plan on using sink in room 211

Pleasant
- 3/5
Cross country trip and this was the least favorite hotel we stayed at.
- 2/5
Not baymont minimum standard
- 2/5
Doors, floors, walls furniture in severe disrepair and in some cases like our room door not serviceable. Run
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Hallway needed to be vacuumed- it was kinda trashy. However- the pool more than made up for that! Pool was clean and cold. Perfect.
- 3/5
I drove up and was sorry to see this is where I'd be staying. the outside needs a paint job desperately ..it looks trashy and the inside isn't much better. The hallways were dirty with things the day I arrived and the day I left. They were not vacuumed. The room had a toilet that was so short it was hard to sit on and it was slanted so my right cheek was slanting down and left one up... not funny. the pool area had no umbrellas and had complete exposure to the sun and there is no way on a hot day which id was would that be somewhere I would want to hang out. I would not return to this hotel.
- 3/5
In addition, there is no elevator, so, taking the dogs in and out required using the stairs.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and the breakfast was outstanding. The Hotel needs some TLC as it is an older hotel but the service was excellent and the stay was very comfortable. The hotel needs some updates and completed repairs done to have it look more professional and travel worthy for guest. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Just what you are looking for when traveling.
- 5/5
Check in check out was easy. Breakfast was awesome. The place was clean. We need a place to stay for the night it fit the Bill. Everything was ok.

- 4/5
Room was great. Everything worked😁
- 3/5
I had better hopes for this place based on the more recent reviews. It doesn’t bother me that the place was dated, what bothers me is cleanliness. Walking in to the room, the light switch cover was dirty. Bathroom=gross. I’m sure it’s only seen a light mop. Bed was promising until I pull the top cover off and found black streaks. Not just on the top sheet, on the bottom sheet and pillow cases. It was like the sheets were rubbed against something that had grease on it. Pillows were just ok and there was not an elevator. Glad my suitcase and other stuff was not heavy.
- 5/5
They were more than accommodating. The upgraded my room for no extra charge
- 5/5
Slept well. Huge shower pressure. It's like whale exhaust.
- 5/5
All of it
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
Good value and clean. We stayed one night on our travels.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Good breakfast
- 4/5
Quick overnight stay while on a cross-country road trip with my family. Staff were helpful and kind. Room was clean. Normal wear and tear for an Inn.
- 5/5
Nice
- 2/5
When viewing their website it did state they did not have an elevator, I did not notice when booking, we were on the 2bd floor. The lobby was very hot because the ac was struggling. The room AC was good. Not a great place to stay.
- 4.5/5
Lived the shower.
- 4/5
The clean rooms and amenities. Most of the staff were very friendly too The size of the beds
- 5/5
Great place to stay and convenient to main highway
- 4/5
Great t place to stay
- 5/5
The room was nice and spacious. The pill was a nice size and the kids enjoyed a swim after a long travel day. There were plenty of stores and restaurants close.
- 2/5
The toilet ran 24/7 front desk said it was on the list for repairs. Said half the toilets were like that. Had to get keys rest after first night. Side doors were locked the second night. We'll before check out, maid knocked on door to make sure we were leaving.
- 3/5
I had stayed at a Wyndham in Casper and got moved to another room because the tv didn’t work. The longe was small and not that clean. Actually I was scared to see the room but it was fairly clean other than dust. Because of the price I booked a room at Wyndham in Amarillo. The lounge was much nicer so I expected more from this one. My room, second floor, no elevator. Also the smoke detector was chirping at me every few seconds. I tried having the staff fix it but apparently there was nobody that could. Front desk clerk handed me a 9V and said good luck she was afraid to touch them. I said what about a new room and she said there were none. The new battery did not work so I just removed it from the ceiling and figured I’m not going to set the place on fire so I’ll sleep easy. I figured if I had told them that they would remove me from the room and not let me stay there because I’m pretty sure it’s not legal for them to allow guests in rooms without smoke detectors. Also, the outside access door did not lock so the entire place was not secure. But then again anyone can walk in the front door as well. Other than the nasty chartreuse paint in the hallways, and the above, the place was pretty good for the price. I would stay there again.
- 2/5
The room was dirty, smelled of smoke, and the bed was stiff.
- 5/5
Breakfast was satisfying.. quite even w animals first time traveling with our little furbaby and wvr
- 4/5
Basic motel with a good breakfast setup, swimming pool, nice rooms, and conveniently located just off I-40. My favorite stay in Amarillo.
- 4/5
There are a lot of large trucks parked in the guest parking lot overnight. Their movement causes some noise and concern. The ice maker was malfunction during my stay. That caused some inconvenience, especially, in the hot summer time.
- 2/5
Room number 2 was in better shape but the sink in the bathroom was plugged with what might have been paper and the hot/cold water were reversed from typical - hot was on the right and cold on the left. The carpet in the halls was old and wrinkled. At least on of the exterior doors had a sign that it was locked at night. That may have been true for the card reader but the handle to exit from the inside was taped so the door could never lock.
- 5/5
Clean friendly staff
- 5/5
Fresh Popcorn at check in was a nice touch. The continental breakfast was good with a decent selection. My only interaction with staff was a check in, and they were wonderful. We selected this hotel because it was reasonably priced and had good customer reviews. It lived up to both. 8.3/10.
- 3/5
We checked out early and got back on the road. Using our Expedia discount the room for a double full (not queen) for one night was $160-ish after taxes. If I had it to do over again, we would not have stayed here. Or I wouldn't have spent more than $80.00 for the night.
- 5/5
Hotel was nice and in good safe location. Front office help was very nice at check in and check out. The manager counting money on the side was not nearly as friendly. Room was nice and clean, but does show a little age. I will definitely stay again when passing through.
- 3/5
The suite is big enough for 6 persons. I booked for 6 person but no extra pillows were prepared in the room. The room is a little old but clean. The staffs are friendly. I will recommend for budget friendly travel. We just stayed one night will book again.
- 5/5
Everyone kind and helpful clean room AC awesome
- 3/5
If you are looking for a clean bed and are tired...its okay. This property had some plumbing problems, is old smelling, and cleaning in bathrooms was just ok. We had been traveling for 15 hours so it met needs, but definitely needs some maintenance and upgrading. Staff was helpful and courteous.
- 1/5
The room was filthy and furniture was shabby. The pool was actually green.
- 2/5
They have no elevators. You have to walk your bags up a stuffy stair well that is also used as storage. My television kept quitting on me. The girls came up and rebooted my box 3 times. Finally when it went out again I said forget it. When I talked to the girl next morning she says you should have told me last night so we can reduce your bill???How many times do I have to call downstairs. They came up 3 times. Night staff was very nice. Hotel needed major updates.
- 5/5
Easily accessible from I40 family friendly hotel
- 5/5
The staff was really nice. Rooms are clean , and nice and cool. The breakfast was nice. I would recommend this place to anyone. Really good price for what you get.
- 3/5
We just stopped to sleep while traveling thru. The room was ok. Could use maintenance. We woke up to a huge puddle of water on the floor due to the ac unit.
- 5/5
Clean room and clean bathroom
- 2/5
Next, the bathroom light fixture malfunctioned and had no working lights in the bathroom the morning of my stay. Altogether it made for a disappointing stay.
- 1/5
Unsafe side doors left open. Access was easy by the pool door was never locked to get in building . Stair case was always wet and unsafe . Weird smell like burn by the stairs . We deserve our money back.
- 4/5
Ok
- 4/5
Nothing special
- 2/5
Needs complete redo
- 5/5
Clean room.
- 3/5
Room was clean.
- 5/5
Staff Jo-Anne was awesome and very helpful.
- 1/5
We were very disappointed in this property for many reasons. Compared to other properties it was not clean and it didn’t feel safe. The charge was also way too high for this property. Motel 6 is what I compare it to.
- 4/5
Be ready to carry your suitcase(s) up the stairs. There are no elevators. Breakfast was ok.
- 1/5
Room was hot and stuffy. It had a dog smell in the room.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, clean room
- 3/5
The staff was wonderful. The tv didn’t work the whole time we were there. I asked repeatedly to have it fixed and once they tried and it worked for a few hours. No one cleaned the whole time we were there. The blanket on the bed had holes in it. The sheets were dingy looking. Just seems it needs some updating. They were extremely busy so it seems they would have the money to make some upgrades.
- 5/5
it was ok staff very friendly and helpful
- 2/5
There is no elevator at this property. Parts of the hallway were covered with a tarp. The towels had stains on them. The water from the shower felt like oil was mixed in. The hairdryer attached to the wall did not work. If you like a hard bed, this place is for you. The $250.18 the room cost was $200 too much.
- 4/5
Great breakfast! The scrambled eggs actually tasted like they should--unlike so many other hotels. The sausage patties were great. The apple juice actually tasted good, unlike most hotel. I also like staying at hotels that have waffle machines and I appreciate that they offered unsweetened syrup. At my request, they also booked us downstairs as my wife has knee issues and our older Labrador retriever doesn't like stairs.
- 4/5
The room was clean but could have been a little cleaner. Floors had left over trash. Beds were made nicely and fairly comfortable. Room was kind of small for my kids and I. Overall I enjoyed the stay. It was conveniently located regarding the activities we were there for. Breakfast was good and staff was extremely helpful.
- 5/5
Clean roo, pleasant staff
- 5/5
Decent room at decent price.
- 3/5
Ok, clean, little old and outdated
- 3/5
Staff was helpful, room was clean, and breakfast was good.
- 4/5
Everything was good. The cleaning staff deserves a big raise!
- 1/5
This property was an absolute disappointment. It was old and run down even though it had high reviews, I did not see that. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I thought that for $200 I would receive a clean and updated place to stay. I actually felt gross having to sleep there. For the condition of the place I would expect to pay $75 not $200. I will never stay at a hotel with this name again and am completely disappointed in the Wyndham name. This hotel could definitely use some updates and deep cleaning
- 1/5
Made a reservation 2 months in advance. Room was not available when we got there. The front desk man said, "yall are screwed." Those were his exact words. Nice! Could not find another room in all of Amarillo. Very unprofessional staff. Then he tried to rent us 2 rooms for twice as much although our previously booked room was "unavailable." Unbelievable!
- 4/5
Breakfast not average
- 4/5
It was good.
- 3/5
The air conditioning was spotty, and the room was over-scented with air freshener.
- 2/5
Just very old building. Homeless come in to eat breakfast in the morning. No elevator so stay on first floor if you are handicapped. Cheap motel vibes.
- 3/5
This is an older hotel. Some signs of wear and tear. Upon our arrival, we were told there was no elevator. Don't know if that meant the elevator was not working, or there just was not an elevator. Our room was on the second floor, next to the stairwell. Took my husband 3 trips to get all of our luggage upstairs. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, A/C was quiet. No towel racks in the bathroom. Had to hang towels over the shower curtain rod or on the clothes hook. The ice and vending machines on the second floor had been removed. Laundry was not working. Breakfast was okay - scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice, etc. Staff was friendly. Free parking.
- 5/5
I wasn't expecting such a pleasant room but surprisingly, it was exceptional. Everything was clean and well maintained, with all the amenities you could want. I stayed in a Hilton the night before and it was very similar.
- 5/5
This was not a bad option for such a quick stay and not a bad price
- 3/5
This facility is in need of attention. It is suffering deferred maintenance and is not being kept clean. Our toilet leaked. The ice machine was out of order for the weekend. Front desk staff received four stars but would have received five had the young lady at our first check-in been able to comprehend what we were saying in plain English. We believe she was fairly new at her position. Breakfast was powdered eggs, sausage, waffles, toast, cereal, and yogurt. All good, except the eggs. For a Wyndham property, we were not impressed. We'll not stay at this one again.
- 2/5
Only 1hand towel and wash cloth in room. Breakfast food, sausage , eggs cold .
- 4/5
The small gym room they used to have is gone. There was no elevator so you had to use stairs to take your luggage upstairs. The hallways on the second floor was a little messy, someone must have made the mess before we got there. The entrance near the pool is a little "sus" feeling.
- 5/5
Thank you!
- 4/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Staff friendly! Unfortunately the ice machine was not working, despite being told it was new and manager trying to restart it, still no ice in the heat. Room was clean. Breakfast was great! Nice establishment!
- 3/5
Nice people but hotel needs a lot of upgrades.
- 3/5
Bed is comfortable. Hotel has dust in the corner and mold in bathroom. Breakfast is okay.
- 2/5
Very run down. Poor unclean decor.
- 2/5
Staff were fantastic!! But the bed sheets were dirty and the AC didn't work.
- 2/5
I should have known better because we reserved a room in northern Indiana at one, and after driving around it, we drove away and reserved another hotel that was nice. This wasn’t quite as bad, but if my husband hadn’t been so tired from driving, we would have been happy to drive on. The neighborhood was terrible, and we were concerned about theft of our belongings in the car. You should stop listing these properties!
