This motel is not at all handicap friendly. Even on the first floor I encountered a great deal of walking with luggage since parking was on the outskirts of the building. A second room (my alternative) was on the second floor. I had to climb a set of stairs with luggage through substandard, nasty, badly stained walk ways. I considered taking a video of the slum like conditions. The bed/mattress was atrocious, too soft and squeaky. The office chair proved hazardous since the wheels rolled quickly at the first point of impact. No other chair was provided. The TV couldn’t have been more than 28 inches. The only positive addition was a larger size than the mini fridge. I wish Expedia would select the suggested properties more carefully. Motel Atrea should not have made the cut.

Nice place, would be better if they had a pool. Breakfast was kind of skimpy. Trash bags were left on sidewalks and stairways by cleaning. Staff and cleaning staff was nowhere to be found.

Just not well taken care of and whole place smelled of cigarette smoke.
- 5/5
Very nice and clean for overnight stay, good continental breakfast.

The lobby area was nice and clean The room was upstairs so I had to carry everything upstairs to the room making many , many trips from vehicle to room. I asked for a downstairs room but I wasn’t able to get one. The room was ok , but the bed was not comfortable at all. I wouldn’t stay again or even recommend it

Front Desk agent was amazing and helpful after a long trip.

Best check in ever! Fast. Friendly. The room was clean and looked freshly painted. There was a large frig and small kitchen area. It was a compact room that used the space well with a smallish bathroom. No carpet, comfy bed and pillows. Breakfast was eggs and sausage, waffles, etc. Everything we needed and comfortable, too. I would recommend this hotel and we will stay here again.

It was ok for a place to stay. Clean. With no amenities Felt a little sketchy.
- 5/5
The room was very clean, and the amenities were excellent. It even had a full-size fridge - which was on (increasingly rare nowadays). Good breakfast (especially if you like biscuits and gravy or waffles). The only recommendation I would make is to ask for twice as many bath towels as there are people in your party - they're a bit thin.
- 5/5
The rooms were very clean. The courtyard was not as clean because the have set up outdoor grills and someone had left chicken bones lying around the grounds. The lobby was nicely decorated and very practically set up for the breakfast serving in the morning,
- 5/5
Close to restaurants and main highway. The courtyard is a plus and maîtresse is extremely confortable.
- 5/5
Clean room, easy check-in, delicious breakfast! Also, loved the big room numbers. More hotels should have that lol
- 3/5
The hang out area with the red chairs is great and staff were super kind Cockroaches were kind of everywhere. Trash was stuffed behind the bed and not cleaned. Really gross again in the bathtub

Clean, up to date, friendly staff, comfortable beds. The two pillows on each bed really should be replaced. They were kinda flat and worn.

The covered motorcycle parking was a nice amenity. The Desk attendant was very polite and knowledgeable. Great one night stay.

Nice, clean place. Area around it is a bit run down, but right next door to a new firehouse which was good. Staff were really great and room was very, very clean and well maintained.
- 3/5
From outside its a nice hotel you have areas to rest outside and breakfast The room was dirty, shower and towels were dirty and full of other people hairs, had to kill two insects inside because the door has a big space down of it

Only four tables available to eat breakfast, Tables were full of other guests. We went to a nearby diner to eat breakfast, There was nowhere to hang clothes. One small office chair in the room to sit in.
- 3/5
Needs updating and needs a stronger air conditioner
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and check in was quick and easy. The room was clean, as well as the bathroom. Breakfast the next morning was good with a nice selection of items to choose from. However, the air conditioner was slow to cool down the room to our liking but eventually did the job.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
The place was great with a large courtyard area for hanging out. Would stay there again.
- 5/5
Several reviews mentioned comfortable beds with one even saying the bed was too soft. This is probably the best place I've stayed for bed comfortability. The staff was wonderful and helpful. The place was clean and easily accessible. We will stay here again next time we come to Amarillo.
- 3/5
The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, and the room did not feel as clean as it should have been. The pillows had visible stains and even hair on them, which was unpleasant. I ended up leaving early because I barely slept. The TV was also difficult to use since there was little to no signal unless I signed in with my personal streaming accounts, which I wasn't comfortable doing. Overall, I would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Everyone was wonderful
- 4/5
Good little place to stop by for the night. The room was spotless and super cold. The bed might’ve been the creakiest bed in all of Amarillo lol but it was comfortable. If you are driving a larger vehicle, please note that parking is not the most spacious. Overall it’s a decent place to stop on a road trip.
- 4/5
The reason for our four-star review was my wife has bad knees and climbing the stairs up and then down again was painful for her. Also in the room the bed had a squeak or some noise to it which made every time one of us tossed or turned in the middle of the night. Very loud and obnoxious. It's too close to the freeway which most hotels are so we had lots of highway noise as well as emergency vehicles passing by at different hours throughout the night that woke us up. The most annoying thing was the bed.
- 1/5
The hotel overbooked and turned me away at arrival. No notice provided. I showed up at midnight after 6 hours on the road and was turned away. The hotel had my reservation but cancelled it due to "overbooked, no rooms available."
- 3/5
It was decent and a place to put your head down. When we arrived, staff wasn’t there to check us in, and we had to wait 10 mins. They had signed so no big deal. Also , our overhead light where the sink didn’t work for some reason, but we were Checking Out so it didn’t matter. I also didn’t love how they. Charged us prior to getting there, though we selected pay at the hotel. I did inquire about that, and they said it happens and luckily I had money on the card because they didn’t have contact info . So what we would have done. For the price and if you need to stop, no, it’s okay, but we probably won’t stay here in the future.
- 2/5
The refrigerator was very clean. There were people hanging out around the stair ways. It was not a comfort feeling at all. We slept, and left as fast as we could. I don’t recommend this hotel to families. The area was shady, at best. For couples maybe. For the price, pictures are deceiving.
- 2/5
Linens need replaced. The white bed comforter was torn due to wear and the edges were very dirty. The towels and washcloths were thin and dingy. The coffee maker had an out of order sign taped to it. I was in the breakfast area 7:30am and saw very little to eat there. Both days we went elsewhere for breakfast. The person who checked us in was nice but the morning staff person was quite unfriendly. We won’t stay here again.
- 1/5
Now I will never book anything below 3 star. Glorified motel.
- 4/5
Nicely renovated motel. Friendly and professional staff. Quiet nonsmoking rooms. We would stay here again.
- 4/5
The hotel is completely redone and has a nice vibe. The courtyard was nice except it had rained and there was a big puddle in the middle. We still went out and sat in the chairs though. If it hadn’t rained we would have been able to play cornhole. My only complaint is that the bed squeaked every time you moved so I woke up a couple of times during the night.
- 5/5
clean room, helpful staff
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking, great location and property was adorable. The breakfast was a nice treat even though we didn’t partake in it. The front desk check in was uneventful. Would have been nice if they were more informative, ie: location of ice machine maybe a bit more engaging, places to dine or things to do in the area with a friendly smile.
- 2/5
Room appears clean but very bottom of scale on comfort. If you seeking a bed, air conditioner and roof over your head it suffices but there are others.
- 4/5
The room has been updated & is clean. The property is pet friendly & only charges $25 per stay. Breakfast Is simple but they do offer waffles & biscuits in addition to cereals & yogurt. Parking is convenient to room. Staff was friendly & helpful.
- 4/5
This new or recently renovated (not sure which) property offers a clean, comfortable place to rest your head. Bed was great (as long as you like your mattress cushy), but the pillows were too thin (one wasn't enough, and two were too much). We didn't try the breakfast, so I can't comment on it. Our only concern was the area where the hotel is located, based on the crime map on DoorProfit, but we had no issues.
- 4/5
The lobby and courtyard were well maintained and charming. The rooms were clean except for a couple of minor things I noticed. The breakfast was good and I enjoyed the decor in that area. Overall it was a nice place to stay for a night while passing through Amarillo.
- 4/5
Beds were comfortable and breakfast was good.

Location was central for our events. Staff was very professional and friendly. Breakfast was excellent.
- 2/5
But outside was clean and staff where welcoming
- 4/5
Bathroom appeared dirty, despite room being cleaned
- 4/5
clean and functional room. The price was better than anything comparable in the area. Near lots of restaurants and bars. I loved the court yard and we ate at a picnic table. Lots of red Adirondack chairs. Only grip was lots of cig butts on ground even with many ashtrays available. Just needs to be cleaned up regularly. Breakfast was super clean and well stocked. The breakfast employee worked hard to make it nice. The towels and paper goods low quality but I could care less about that as the price was right. I would totally stay here again. Lots of good parking and efficient check in.
- 5/5
Great travel stop that offered a little more character than a large brand. Loved the pet friendly courtyard and mural from a local artist.
- 5/5
Nice.
- 1/5
The front of the hotel is extremely nice. This is where it ends. The ceiling was falling down in our room and the bedside lamp was covered in brown streaks and handprints that looked suspiciously like poop. Our comforters were also dirty, appeared to have yellow stains on them. We did not have a desk or a dresser to place things on, only a small white folding table that was extremely flimsy. The grounds were absolutely filthy. We didn’t feel safe as there were people who weren’t staying there loitering all over the grounds.
- 2/5
Light in vanity was out, the only light. Air conditioner not working properly, & rattles very loudly all night long. Staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Very nice room clean and comfortable would book again
- 4/5
Negatives-room shakes when a/c runs, not enough shower soap and shampoo. 1 small for 2 adults. All in all very good for the money. Is a remodeled motor court motel. Quite, clean and very good ac.
- 3/5
Second time we have stayed here and both times we were assigned an upstairs room. There is no elevator and for us elderly it was brutal getting our bags upstairs. Breakfast was nothing special. The vent in the bathroom was last cleaned during the Truman administration. We won’t be back . . . Would rather stay somewhere that doesn’t require packing heavy bags up stairs.
- 5/5
Nice place, breakfast was okay - everything else was great
- 1/5
I would not recommend staying at this property. It is located in a very sketchy area, and I did not feel comfortable. The room was dirty, and the front desk was unattended when we arrived, so we had to wait for a staff member to come out before we could check in. To make matters worse, we found roaches in the room. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I would not stay here again.
- 4/5
Our stay was good, staff was excellent, room was very clean but a little old and showed signs of wear and tear. Make sure you stay on the side of the yard, we were on the other side and other guests were hanging out right outside the room. PArking was easy and abundant.
- 4/5
Hotel was renovated 5 years ago and is aesthetic my appealing. Great dog patch with adjacent, relaxing patio. Rooms are as described with the usual amenities, towels, tv, ac, frig, ironing board, on-site laundry. Towels could be a bit thicker but not a deal breaker. Breakfast was the basics: waffle maker, egg, sausage, cereal, toast, coffee. I would stay again since the whole point was to explore Route 66. Staff was the friendliest, hardworking people holding the place down.Fair price for a two+night stay.
- 4/5
issue with the AC. It was very noisy and cooled the room very fast. That means that it was working loudly for a short time, turned off and started again and again. In addition, the room had a huge fridge that was also noisy. The breakfast area is very nice and the food was ok.
- 3/5
Not bad for a cheap overnight. Sinks didn't drain and the room showed it's age.
- 5/5
Arrived at midnight and they were waiting for me. Got me in my room very quickly. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. Overall a good experience.
- 3/5
The staff was very friendly! The beds were comfortable, however, the bathroom, especially the shower, were not very clean. There were stains in the bottom of the shower and gunk in the corners. Ultimately, for the price, it was not a bad choice. There is also great parking spaces for motor homes, moving trucks, and RV’s (not semi trucks).
- 5/5
It can be hard to find an inexpensive, safe, and clean lodging facility so I’m glad for this establishment. Breakfast includes hot eggs, sausage, and of course a Texas waffle. Other continental items include cereal, toast, and muffins.
- 2/5
Would not stay there again, had a musty smell.Of mildew
- 5/5
The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
This was an easy access, affordable, clean and well maintained hotel. Staff served up a nice breakfast ..eat the biscuits and gravy! Was concerned about noise from i40 being a problem; but it wasn't enough to keep you awake.
- 5/5
Check in was fast and peofessional. Clean room and good breakfast in the morning. No complaints. 2nd time to stay here and would again without hesitation.
- 4/5
good breakfast. Towels and tub, while clean, were stained and thin. Price was low and service was great.
- 2/5
Room was borderline gross the lobby was nice and the staff was okay
- 3/5
Basic. Clean. Breakfast was good one day and on the other was not. Large open area in center has a dog park. Sometimes smells too strong. Good dining options nearby. Good for overnight stop for roadtrippers. Old hotel that was upgraded. No gym.
- 4/5
Very well organized. Room had a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. Everything was clean and fresh smelling. Quiet so we slept well on the comfortable beds.
- 5/5
Place was the best so far
- 4/5
Has the old fashioned motel feel, but is clean and welcoming.
- 5/5
Decent place to stay for the night. Check in and check out were really simple. Good deal
- 1/5
Non smoking room reeked of smoke Carpets were filthy Arrived at 11:30 took 20 minutes to get key If it wasn’t late at night would’ve demanded refund and gone somewhere else
- 4/5
Staff are friendly. Our room was nice and the bed is comfy.
- 1/5
Roaches, flys, loud door slamming all night, ring in the tub, terrible breakfast. Nice staff.
- 3/5
I had my 2 pets and didn’t realize I had to pay. I didn’t ask because 2 weeks earlier I stayed at the Hilton and didn’t have to pay. The dogs cost almost as much as me and my husband.
- 4/5
Comfortable room with an oversized refrigerator. The bed was quite squeaky.
- 1/5
Dusty every corner. Towels smells stinky.
- 1/5
We checked into our room and left immediately, the bathroom was disgusting and the towels did not look clean. The whole room felt unclean
- 3/5
This was our 2nd stay and it was not as good as the first due to the room condition. There was no nightstand on one side of bed. The bathroom needs some serious work. Tub needs to be replaced (chipped) and was dirty around the edges and inside. They did not provide soap this time. Bedspread had a food stain on it.
- 5/5
Breakfast didn’t look too appealing so we didn’t have it.
- 5/5
The lady that checked me in was really great. I think her name was DeAndre, she helped me with the WIFI, gave me some restaurant recommendations and told me some things to see. Super nice and professional. It is in a great location also
- 5/5
It was good
- 5/5
Thank you!
- 4/5
Basic place, well-kept.
- 3/5
Area was a little sketchy, front desk person not that friendly, weird people hanging out outside.
- 1/5
Booked a room two months in advance with a credit card. Arrived at the hotel tired after a long drive only to be told they'd overbooked and gave our room to someone else. Why make a reservation if they won't honor it?
- 2/5
The back building where we were offered a room was a bit run down, with what looked like abandoned vehicles in the lot. The room we were offered had a greasy headboard, dented front door, inside doors and walls were soiled in places and needed to be wiped down. Updated plank flooring on entry was loose, and edges of floors were soiled, bathtub grout moldy and rusty. Long hair from prior occupant present. Toilet hinges dirty. Lady at the front desk was super friendly. When we went back to complain about the room. She had no other rooms to give us, apologized and processed a refund. Might consider staying there again if front building rooms were available.
- 4/5
Clean room and comfortable bed. Nothing fancy but perfect for one night while traveling. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.
- 4/5
Hotel was very nice and clean, staff was very helpful, breakfast was good. The only drawback was the noise from the street and loud cars
