HYATT house Dallas/Addison

It’s nice having a full kitchen, living room and bedroom. Basically it’s an apartment. The kitchens are not well stocked and you never know what pans, pots, or utensils will be there. We have stayed here many times and sometimes there’s one small pot, 3 plates, 2 forks, 1 knife and a couple glasses. When the rooms are being cleaned and made ready for guests they should pay attention to the kitchen and make sure all of the basics, including cookware and sheet pans are there. Breakfast is hit or miss. Only 1 waffle maker. When we stayed this weekend on Saturday it was link sausage, eggs and refried beans with sliced bread and fruit. Sunday it was sausage patties, soggy potatoes and eggs.

A++ I stay there every time I’m in Addison.

Could be cleaner. Seems like there is always something slightly inconvenient. This time my co worker had to switch rooms 2 times due to AC issues and the room he ended up in still wouldn’t get to a comfortable temp.

The room set up was great for the needs of our family. That's really where the good stuff ends. The room was dirty- my feet were black on the bottom after walking around briefly. I went to the front desk and asked for them to send someone to clean a bit after we saw grime around the edges of surfaces, pubic hair in the bathtubs, and generally just dirtyness all over. Breakfast was abysmal. The coffee wasn't warm, there was no cream, only the fake kind that isn't cold, at one point the milk ran out and never was refilled. There were only paper plates, no bowls at all. The waffle batter machine was filthy and clogged. The yogurt wasn't labeled and was almost empty and never got refilled - nothing did. We paid to have breakfast elsewhere our second morning. The pool was cloudy- no clue if this was from it being dirty or if the chemicals weren't in ratio, but it was highly chlorinated to the point we could not see our feet while standing in the pool.

Russell was attentive as always, breakfast was hot fresh and a good variety this is my go to hotel for trips to Dallas!

The property is clean the curtains were ripped dirty and stained the carpet was dirty and had a smell but overall it was great

The minute I checked in I put the Do Not Disturb tag on my door. The next morning housekeeping entered the room as I was exiting the bathroom. I pointed out the DND sign and received a rude response. The shower doors were broken and would not fully close which created hazardous conditions on the wet tile floor. Then on the last morning I woke up in a full sweat to find that the A/C had stopped working. Other than that…..

The hotel has been better in the past when they offered better breakfast and socials during the week Monday through Thursday. I ask front desk and he knew nothing about the socials and no free cookie at check in needs to come back. Then after getting my deposit back I received a 12 dollar parking fee which was never disclosed to me when booking will not recommending this hotel and not spending money at this location. Also weird smell like something was wet. Not my top choice anymore please disclose additional fees before having someone book

Numerous wasp nest around the property. A wasp actually got into my suite. Looked around the facility and I noted wasp nest in every corner on the 2nd and 3rd floors!!!

I've stayed at the property several times since 2018. It looks like it's under new management now which made the place to become a nightmare. I've traveled a lot and my stay at Hyatt was one of the worst, if not the worst. The place was filthy, window drapes had stains, cockroach inside bedroom and other insects, bathroom door broken, cutlery filthy, and carpet was dirty. I've rented a one-bedroom for myself and a two-bedroom for my kids. Even my kids complained about how dirty the place was. When I see the brand "Wyndham" I know shouldn't deserve more than one or two stars, regardless of what they advertise. Even in Florida, we stayed at a Wyndham, same low quality low hygiene place. The only good think was the courteous staff. Stayed at unit 1213 and 1411.

The suites with the two king size beds we’re very comfortable. There is no elevator and it’s on the third floor so if you’re not active or you have some form of disability, it is something to consider. I’m not sure if they have suites or lower levels. The breakfast was good. The pool was fine very convenient the kitchen ! We’d definitely stay here if you’re traveling with a large group.

Overall good. No elevator when accessing outside doors to rooms but max is 2nd floor. Good breakfast. Multiple bedroom suites available which is great for traveling with large family.

Was a very pleasant and comfortable stay for my family of 6. The suite was spacious enough to accommodate everyone. The staff was very nice and helpful. Would stay again if in the area.

The Hyatt House at this location has served travelers and vacationers for over many decades. However, it's time for an upgrade as this property is outdated. The rooms, beds, and bathroom can stand a face lift. The mattresses on the bed are old and does have much support. The property is in a prime location but it's past due of a complete remodeling.

Blood on the mattress ,pull out bed/couch stained with I don’t even want to know, carpet dirty! Some women in the parking lot approached us asking if we knew so and so and where he went then cussed us out!! Checked in seen the room checked right back out!

Sadly, there are long term or permanent residents there an some are under the influence and having someone banging multiple times your door @ 6 in the morning because they had the wrong room was not helpful or comforting.

Breakfast was very tasty and the staff was polite.

However, Nina and the male employee who worked Sunday were excellent!!!! Property is not the same from previous stays years ago.

The amenities in the room were good. It was a nice spot for my daughters and I to have a staycation. But the hotel advertised a bar and restaurant and that played into our decision to stay there. They said they do not have a liquor license, so take that off the site please. Also, the shower was awful. It was either scalding or freezing. No in between.

My wife and I have stayed at the Hyatt House more than any other hotel in the Dallas area over the years. We like the comfortable rooms and the much morning coffee and breakfast. As seniors, they have always worked with us in meeting our needs. We recommend them to anyone.

You can not beat the price for a 2 bedroom. It was perfect for my husband and I and our 3 children.

The rooms were clean, the shower was awesome. The staff made sure you were taking care and the breakfast was a real breakfast with different food every morning.

Breakfast was at least 30 minutes late everyday which caused delays for my trip.

Breakfast was the standard buffet. Morning coffee, tea, hot water were available. Fresh fruits were not so fresh, kinda soggy, and maybe days old. The main complaint I had, which I brought to the manager's attention happened when a member of our group couldn't get in because his key card didn't open the front entrance (not sure why, even though it worked with our room). Exhausted from work, he went back to his car and ended up sleeping out there in the cold for more than an hour after midnight. He didn't want to disturb us so he called the front desk, but no one was there to let him in. It wasn't until one of us in the group woke up past 2AM and realized that he didn't make it inside. She went downstairs to fetch him, didn't see any attendant, and opened the main door. If this didn't happen, I would have given this location 4 stars. If the response from management was more compassionate instead of asking "how many times did he try to call the front desk?" I'd probably give it 5 stars.

Liked the stay.. housekeeping was daily, which was a good point.. breakfast very repetitive. Otherwise good.

Had to change rooms after checking in. Room wasn't clean. NO ELEVATORS !!! Was not fun for someone with asthma to have to climb 3 flights of stairs all day long. No elevators should be in bold print when booking. Never will stay again.

It was good room service and food

I was thankful for the two separate bedrooms. Though upon arrival the rooms smelled of mold, shower drain was clogged and there was no real comforter on the beds. I should have brought an extra blanket. The grounds had litter that could have easily been picked up by the housekeeping staff but they ignored it. It was not a clean feeling at all. We did not even want to partake of the centennial breakfast because it just felt like an unkept place. I would only go back if I could not find a VRBO in the area to rent.

There was a lizard in my room as well as a big roach or water bug. There was also piles of Dog Poop on the side walks leading to the parking lot and unfortunately guest stepped on it. This is my 2nd time booking with hotel. My 1st experience wasn’t like this I will not be returning.

Yes the room was clean as always, but there were no forks and the ironing board was missing, no extra blanket. Weekend staff was awesome

First room had a leak of some sort, carpet was saturated and my bag got wet. Second room smelled very strongly of glade or air freshener, caused allergy attack. There is no restaurant/lounge even though it is listed as an amenity. Bedroom does can’t swing due to mattress being in the way, not enough room. No towels or bath mats. Breakfast was terrible.

Yikes. I was not prepared for this stay. We booked two nights and left after one. I will say that the staff are very friendly. BUT, this is not a hotel. It's an older apartment complex. There was no elevator, so you have to schlep up stairs. Breakfast items were limited, so we left and had breakfast elsewhere. I'm sure these accommodations work for someone, but not me.

The facilities were good but the kitchen was lacking Cookware and basic cooking essentials. Remotes for the TV's did not work, They removed soiled towels daily but did not replace them with clean ones. Ran out of toilet paper. When we called the staff they were less than helpful and we had to go to the front desk to get anything we needed.

Called receptionist just to double check where breakfast was located because I was new to this hotel and since it was an apartment style hotel complex. I asked a simple question of “Where do I go to get breakfast?” And they kept saying “ma’am breakfast closes at 10am”. I called at 9:10am. So I was confused since I asked for location not time, but she kept only repeating “breakfast closes at 10am and angrier each time. And I asked one more time where breakfast was, and she finally answers “the lobbyyy?!?!?” In a very rude way. I did not speak to her rudely at all until after she said this. She then asked “anything else” and I said “clearly not from you”. Whoever this staff was completely set the tone of my day to a bad start and shifted my perspective on this property. This could have been an easy 30 second conversation, but only left a sour taste to the experience. Also did not have extra blankets for the pull out sofa, no hairdryer, and stains on some of the bedding. These things could have been overlooked if not for the rude service that was received unprovoked. I usually never make reviews but I have never received such rudeness before. Whoever was working the call at 9am on 10/19, I hope karma finds you.
